We had a very good experience with Secured Lock & Safe. We have a wall safe with a battery powered touch pad and a backup key lock. The prior owners never gave us the keys so when the batteries failed we were stuck. One local locksmith tried to open it and failed - he recommended Kai. Kai came out and got the safe unlocked fairly quickly and then went the extra length of going out to find the right blanks and making new keys that fit the existing lock. This is a story about how stressful flying without having a REAL ID can be and how a fantastic locksmith saved the day. It was Coronavirus season, and the day before our family vacation flight, I realized that I had not gotten my REAL ID yet. I had, to put it mildly, a major panic attack when I realized that I couldn't get into my safe to retrieve my passport. Spoiler alert...safes need to be serviced and lubricated on a regular basis. It was 9pm and our flight was leaving at 4am. What to do? Well, the logical thing to do would be to take a step back and realize that the COVID-19 pandemic pushed back the REAL ID requirement. Alas, I'm apparently not a logical person, especially not when in close proximity to a panicking woman (I love you!). So, I did the next best thing and jumped on Yelp to find a reputable safe technician to fix my problem. In a perfect world, this is where this review should end. But, this is not a perfect world, so bear with me a bit longer... Remember, this is all happening at 9pm. I attempted to call 7 (yes, seven!) different safe companies, but as it turns out, no one likes to work at 9pm. Out of those 7, only 3 actually picked up the phone, and out of those 3, only Kai @ Secured Lock & Safe was somebody I even remotely wanted to work with. The other two companies, who shall remain unnamed, frankly sounded like they didn't even want my business. And considering the timing, I don't necessarily blame them. In addition, only Kai was able to accurately identify our safe (an older model), and promise that he would open the safe without damage. Considering our safe was not cheap, this was a must. He arrived at our home within the hour, and I kid you not, had that sucker open within 15 minutes, using a method I can only describe as magic. I would say I was impressed, but let's just say that I measured the amount of jaw drop in feet instead of inches. Having had friends who had much worse experiences with safe escapades, I cannot recommend Secured Lock & Safe highly enough. Thank you Kai for saving our family vacation, even if we didn't technically need you. I came across Secured Lock & Safe on Yelp because I got locked out due to a broken/jammed lock. Not exactly knowing what to do, I started looking at Yelp for a couple of locksmiths in the area. I decided to go with Secured Lock & Safe since it came up as one of the top results with good reviews. I called and Kai picked up almost immediately and told me he could be in the area in 20min and quoted me $149 for the job with potential additional costs if the lock had to be replaced. I didn't have much time or energy to call other places to compare quotes so I'm not sure how this price compares to other locksmiths in the area. Kai showed up around 20min later as he said and started working on the lock immediately. Kai was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. Eventually, we had to get a replacement lock as the old lock broke, so our total for the service came out to be around $174 ($149 for the service and $25 for the replacement). Overall, I would recommend Kai to anyone looking for a locksmith. There's also a Yelp deal so try to use that as well! I had actually purchased the Yelp deal but forgot to use it by the end of the service. With the Yelp deal it probably would've been $154 instead. read more

Over this last week, my luck seemed to have taken a downturn, first had my car stolen (a copy of my house keys were inside), then sprained my hand, then lost my other set of house keys while out for a walk. Only to have had what I thought was a couple of good samaritans call me to offer to bring them to me, turns out they seemed to be a bit questionable, and soon after meeting I couldn't help but feel like they expected a little more than my gratitude, and a hot meal for their good deed. Five stars no doubt! I locked myself out this morning for the *first time*. I was pretty upset but I'm really glad to find Secured Lock & Safe. I gave them a call, not knowing what to expect. In less than 20 minutes, Kai showed up at my doorstep. Because of morning traffic, Kai even called me on his way to inform me the updated ETA, which is very nice and professional. Kai assures me on arrival that if any damage is done to the lock, he will replace the lock free of charge (big big plus). My lock was ancient and only half-working with a broken door handle, which is probably tje result of a crappy previous job from the previous owner some time ago. Kai immediately realized the challenge of picking a broken lock and decided to drill through the lock. In no time, we are back in the room! He then went ahead and replaced the lock. Kai attached new one but it was really hard job because the old hole doesn't fit with it. He carefully worked on it to make everything works and looks fine.
