I have been a customer at this location for over two years. I use this storage to store supplies that my company sends me, not personal use. I was estatic with the customer service I received from the on-site management team, Ann and Frank. They were always professional, friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful. I give this location 100 stars when Ann and Frank managed the business. The management team has changed and if I could give A lower rating than 1 star, I would. The new on-site management team is horrible. They are rude, unprofessional, and don't know the first thing about how to treat a customer. I won't go into the whole story, but let me say that they don't care about long term customers. Normally, I am an easy going person and do not complain. But after the way I was treated today and how they spoke to me, I can not let it go. I asked for the District Manager's name and phone number to complain, but he refused to give it to me. He then proceeded to tell me that he does not have to give me the information and that he can run this location anyway he wants. I would warn anyone looking for a storage unit to stay away from this location, unless you prefer to be treated like dirt. I will not be using this business for storage anymore. I prefer to deal with a business who value their customers and treat them with professionalism and great customer service. Update: I reached out to another location to get the District Manager contact info. The manager, David Hicks, at the Herndon/Reston location assured me that he would forward my complaint to someone in their corporate office. He never forwarded the info because I never received an email or phone call from anyone but him addressing the complaint. Very deceitful and unethical of David, but considering how I was treated at the Ashburn location, I am not surprised. So think twice about using this business. read more

Very nice facility, always clean. Craig & Susan, the management team are nice, conscientious & professional. Craig especially is very personable, and always ready to provide referrals for help. We had a terrible moving situation, and Craig referred us to a reliable mover to finish up what our original company didn't. His referral was very good, and had an excellent price. They do make an effort to stay in contact, especially if any problems arise. We went through a leak into our very large unit, coming from the AC line to another unit. When they noticed water into the hall adjacent, Craig promptly called us, so we could get there, open up & deal with the situation. It made for a really frustrating hot weekend, as things had to be cleared from our large exterior unit. They found another similar place that we could move into so the leak could be cleaned and repaired. Eventually they found a small crew to help us with the move as it was ALOT of stuff, and the hottest day of the year. Our only issue was the rush to get us to move back into the original unit, which was a problem as we had work & commitments. But, this had more to do with corporate financial policies than anything else. Craig & Susan clearly felt awful and tried to help, with providing boxe for repacking. Only quibble that we have, again with corporate, was our responsibility for the insurance deductible, even though the leak was a facility problem, not anything we did. But, it was fixed within 2 days. It's a great facility, they're always cordial, it's clean, well lit, and we feel our belongings are secure there. We actually have a 2nd unit, in the climate control area, which we plan to keep once we can finish moving out from the huge one. read more

When we needed storage, we were very concerned about security of our stored items, our personal security when on the premises, how clean the units would be, and could we afford the climate controlled unit we really needed for both heat and humidity and for the winter cold. We could not have been happier with all of the above. There are plenty of security cameras, our questions were answered immediately, and received excellent locks for all family members. The climate controlled unit cost fit our budget, and the unit size for the price was excellent. The unit was incredibly clean and hallway areas very well lit, with an excellent security system for customer protection. The nice surprises was included the potential use of the SPS moving truck, if and when needed in the future; the availability of hand trucks/dollies to unload from our vehicles; and the excellent ease in rolling the contents right up the cement incline into the facility! Way easy and well planned facility layout! Our occasional questions continue to be answered with a wonderful attitude of just good old-fashioned courtesy and customer care! Take the time to find this location right along the south side of route 7 in Ashburn along the western border of Sterling, because this might well be among the best kept secrets in Eastern Loudoun County! I feel compelled to write a review to rebut what Erin L said about this great facility! I'm still a customer of this company in SF, in fact I've gotten to know the owners there quite well. Based on my great experience, one of my best friends from college became a customer of their Ashburn facility. He's been so happy with his experience there that he made it a point to call and thank me for the recommendation. He'd used storage before, and said the managers were more professional and helpful by far than for the larger, national company he'd had a pretty negative experience with. The managers know him by name and personally greet him every time he comes onto the property. I actually called him to ask about this, and he said he'd seen no evidence whatsoever of rodents (or in fact, anything but clean, well-maintained spaces!). Gotta say it sounds like Erin is just trying to make some money off an isolated situation, and that we're not hearing the whole story. She is obviously not someone who regularly uses Yelp. That said, I'm glad she has given KC & Ryan the good feedback they deserve. read more

This Security Public Storage location is very clean and kept up very well. I came in not knowing what size storage unit I will need for my move and Craig Johnson walked me through the process and answered all my questions. The lease was explained to me thoroughly and received copies for everything, the boxes and amenities they have in the front of the store are very well kept. Craig even explained to me the capabilities of the boxes such as "Maximum Weight" and how much weight it can withhold under pressure when stacked under other boxes. The service was excellent and the multiple storage units he showed me to determine what size I need were spotless. Craig also showed me how to use my pin to gain entry into the facility and how the lock works for the unit. I am very happy with everything today and if someone asked me about this Security Public Storage location. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a storage unit. My husband and I checked several storage places. The Security Public Storage in Ashburn is on the top of the list of best storage places we found. The owners (Craig and sue) are very nice and very pleasant to deal with. We sold our house fast and needed a storage place for our stuff until our new home is ready. Security Public Storage is one of the storages that we looked into. We were very satisfied with the service from the time we called, looked at the storages and the actual moving of our stuff. The place is very clean, safe, secure, and climate controlled. Craig and Sue were very helpful and treated us like a family. I've been a client of Security Public Storage in Ashburn, Virginia for several years. The facility is clean, well organized and, per its name, highly secure. It's easy to access my personal storage unit directly without going through the on-site management office. However, the real reason I'm writing this review is because of the quality of the Onsite Management Team, Sue Stahl and Craig Johnson. Sue and Craig made me feel welcome when I first opened my unit and have been attentive to any questions I've had over the years. When I walk into their office I not only feel greeted as a valued customer, I also feel like I'm greeted as they would a friend. I know it's not "just me" because I've seen them interact with other clients the same way. If every business was run like this, our world would be a wonderful place! read more

This review is long overdue, but so well deserved. Mr. Craig was so homey at a time when I was a hot mess and moving. He explained how "the other guys" short cut their advertised prices. Everything he told me was transparent. ALSO they don't charge for their locks which makes total sense--you just return them at the end. And even though I lost one of my keys (sorry Craig) he didn't make a fuss about it. And shout out to Ms. Sue too! I hope you all are in the neighborhood a long time, I'm always recommending. HONESTLY if you're deciding between the cube place up the road because of a free month or whatever, it's not worth it. It's so nice to see this Ashburn, VA facility returned to a well-managed business with a professional management team. Ryan and Kayce are courteous, friendly, accommodating, and delightful to work with, much like the original managers, Paul and Sarah. The property is once again well-maintained (as opposed to late 2007 -- Spring 2009). Now hallways are again kept clean and burned-out light bulbs are quickly replaced. SPS, formerly Loudoun Square Storage, has served as my attic since March 2007. You can't beat the easy access to each unit, the readily available platform carts, the climate-controlled building, on-site boxes and other packing supplies, the use of a "move-in" van at no cost!, and the rents are reasonable. Excellent facility overall 5+ stars - well light, clean and VERY friendly / helpful on-site staff (Ryan & KC) go out of their way to be of assistance. No annoying gates to try and weave in and out of makes access a breeze (yet still very secure - cameras all over - alarm systems - door key pad access, etc..... plus there is a 24/7 manned & live guarded facility just across the street), The facility grounds, office, bathrooms, etc... are well maintained and have been clean every time I have been there. I have used this location many times professionally and I have nothing but great things to say about them! Every single interaction has been Super easy and flawless. Each time we use them we have a feeling like we are always being taken care of. Have used other facilities in the past and the customer service here is Top Notch! They are very responsive, informative (as in calling to notify for updates and/or suggestions) and give you the feel as if they always have your best interest. Security Public Storage maintains a clean, dry and well lit environment. I go to the storage unit at night and during the early morning hours and always felt safe. The owners are always around to ask use if we need further assistance. Their customer service is the best. We rent one of the larger units and it had plenty of light.They place carts near the doors so we could easily move items expeditiously. I also like that there bathrooms we clean and well stocked. Finally, the owners are extremely kind. When I told them that we are storing items to give away to the less fortunate who live in Loudoun County. I've never had to use a public storage facility so I was a little apprehensive when I needed one. After meeting the staff at Security Public Storage, Ashburn, my concerns diminished. The staff was friendly, helpful, and thorough. This is one of the few facilities that have "on site" managers, this for me, was a great plus. Kayce and Ryan are very welcoming and professional in their dealings. We needed a large amount of storage at the last minute. They were not only accomodating, but also knew exactly the amount of storage we needed (without going over). I call that honest and professional. I would highly recommend this facility! read more

This is the number one place to visit. The staff is super friendly and super funny. The facilities are immaculant. I would not want to go any other place. We just rented a unit about a week ago and have visited twice already. extremely impressed with the owners and the facility. Climate controlled and pest free because they tend to such matters as if it were their home. Ease of entry, super clean storage rooms, and ample parking for off and on loading make they the place to go. It may seem a little more expensive but when you realize the safety and cleanliness and overall attention to providing a quality service to their clients, it is a bargain. I have had my unit with Security Public Storage for about a year now and I have to admit that it doesn't get better than them. I honestly don't know what the previous person is talking about. I haven't found a single problem with my unit and I am a very OCD type person. Ryan has always been very helpful and his wife is also attentive to our needs. She calls us when we are 5 days late to remind us our payment is due so we don't get any late fees. Really, this is as clean and nice as it gets when it comes to storage.
