I've been a "tenant" of Security Public Storage for nearly ten years. In all my dealings with them, I have been incredibly impressed. The facility is spotless... I mean, spotless. The hallways are clean and bright, it's well-lit and the units not only roomy, but with high ceilings that will accommodate more stuff. The location is perfect: central to everything (even Muni) and I have never had a problem with street parking or loading/unloading. The things I have kept in storage -- valued furniture, books, important files -- are dust-free, clean and dry. In fact, going into one unit recently (I have a couple), I realized that I hadn't been in the unit in over five years; everything was as ship-shape as if I had loaded it yesterday. The customer service is without parallel. They do their work very fast, so you are in and out quickly; I like that they value my time. I have been helped by both Charles and Nicholas; they have always been prompt to reply, very polite and unfailingly helpful. Recently, Charles helped me find a unit nearby to one I already had that saved me a lot of moving pain; he didn't need to go to the trouble, but he did. He also went the extra degree of advising me that Muni was down and how to best get there from my house; this saved me a lot of time and unnecessary effort! I know I can always count on them to be available, helpful and professional; it feels more like like a concierge service than a storage facility! read more

I cannot recommend SPS SF highly enough. They absolutely deserve their 5 star rating. SPS SF the most immaculate storage facility that I have ever seen. The three people who manage it are beyond lovely and highly professional. They run a tight ship. An added bonus; they are located on a great block and I have never had a problem with parking. I have experienced many self-storage places and this is by far the nicest and I feel assured that my things will always be safe and mildew free. Run don't walk. Spaces here go quickly. read more

I had to find a storage solution quickly due to an unexpected international move. Security Public Storage was awesome right when we came through the door. Now that I have returned back to San Francisco, I am still keeping a unit there because it beats having a cluttered home. Charles, the manager, is great! It's clean, safe, the staff here (I've been working with Charles and Gordon) have been so nice as well. More than I could ever expect from a storage unit. I've been using this storage facility for a year and am really happy with the service they provide. The facility is always clean, Charles and Malcolm are always kind and helpful. Only downside, I didn't receive any notice from them before they did a very dusty construction job. This was a minor inconvenience, as I had to do some cleaning afterwards. And I would have liked to be prepared for it. Other than that very unusual event, I have been nothing but satisfied. I recommend this place to anyone with storage needs. read more

I never ended up using SPS, but my experience with Gordon Masters was some of the best customer service I've had in a long time. I reserved a unit in anticipation of being homeless, but last minute found an apartment to move into. I called to ask for a refund since I had never physically been to SPS to pick up keys, etc. Gordon worked to provide me a refund and was quite thorough. He called back when he said he was going to and actually issued me a refund. I didn't have to follow up as you usually do with most businesses. Very much appreciate being treated so well. Such a helpful group of people - we needed storage because of family cicumstances, and SPS is in the city(which is a really big deal), not-sketchy(no bike thief operations going on here), and everyone who works there tries really hard to be helpful and accommodating. These guys are awesome! I rent a small unit for my off season clothes and a few pieces of art. The facility is kept clean, and I've never seen any riff-raff around the area. It's safe, organized, and they bend over backwards to accommodate their clients. I feel secure keeping my valuables here! I would recommend them if you need a well maintained storage unit! read more

I've never had to rent a storage unit before, but I couldn't have had a better experience! At the end of May my apartment building caught fire and it was considered uninhabitable. Thankfully none of my things were damaged in the fire and the nice water hose down the SF Fire Department did, but everyone in the building had to move out for the restoration to begin. I was able to walk right in to Security Public Storage and rent a unit that day. Everyone was so helpful and made sure I had everything I needed and how to work everything - like the freight elevator. Like others have mentioned, the building and units are very clean and there is amazing air conditioning so you don't have to worry about any damage. I just moved out of my unit and into a permanent home and was a bit sad that I wouldn't be going to Security Public Storage and seeing all the awesome staff! read more

This is my first time having to put my whole life into storage. Before deciding in the Page Street location, I was looking at the Daly City location but only to find out that they didn't have the right size of space for me (when i thought they did...). I was getting nervous as the movers were already scheduled and I had not secured a spot. Then the phone rang and it was Charles. He told me that he has one last large unit that he could save for me and he made the reservation process very clear and easy for me. On the day of the move he put the orange cones out for my truck and asked other vehicles if they could move up a little to accommodate my truck. We literally finished moving everything at the very last second and Charles never once made me feel hurried. He is like everyone's uncle whom you can easily talk to. Charles is also very responsive with phone calls and emails. He would call me to remind me to set up auto pay and he just makes everything so effortless. I would strongly encourage everyone to consider the Page street location. read more

I looked at a few different storage places in SF and ended up with Security Public Storage. Malcolm was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The place itself is clean and easy to use although parking on the street usually isn't available. You can doublepark though and they'll put out some cones for you and there's a parking lot that you can use as well that's pretty close. It costs a bit more than other places but definitely worth it in my experience. I hope I won't have to use any more storage in the future but I'd use them again. read more

I moved from New York recently and needed a place to store several boxes of stuff while I searched for an apartment. After calling a few different places I decided on Security Public Storage. Charles, the manager, was helpful and friendly from the very first phone call and was able to get me a unit for the next day. The facility is clean and there is secured entrance and exit to the doors and elevator (you're assigned your own code). Although it's not a climate controlled unit, it was never too hot or cold. The only caveat is that you don't have 24 hour access to the unit although I was able to make it work. I'd definitely use them again if I needed storage in SF. read more

I made a quick move from LA to SF and needed to book a storage unit last minute. Charles was pleasant to speak with over the phone, helping to figure out the size of storage unit I would need. We were cutting it close arriving to the storage facility, and made it a little before closing time. Charles greeted us warmly and provided multiple flatbeds/wheeling devices to move boxes easily from our car into the elevator and into my storage unit. He was patient as we unloaded and very accommodating throughout the process.
