This place is really great! This place seems to really care about there customers! They have great customer service and my wife and I feel that they are pretty reasonable with their prices although still expensive, but we thinks it just has to do with the area. Their grounds are pretty clean plus they seem to be doing renivations that look a lot nicer than before! They make us feel safe because they have alarms here unlike other places my wife and I have stored at, and the managers are great with a wonderful attitude! The newer managers always seem happy with a smile on their face and are always willing to lend a helping hand. My wife and I wish the gate hours were longer due to our work schedules being to early or to late but overall our experience here has been great! I'm a first time user of any public storage facilities and I had great trepidation of using one. It was a difficult time because I was storing my mother's belongs after her death and a I needed a unit for me because I was going to move. I made first contact via the phone. What I liked is is that Valerie was on time for the appointment. She was knowledgeable about the size of the units and what they could fit. She wasn't pushy and and when I was wavering about what size unit to take, she immediately offered to take me on a tour. Not to be rude, but I was surprised at the cleanliness of the whole facility not just the unit I saw, the whole area was clean. She was willing to work with me on a discount which helped to seal the deal. But the great customer service, the cleanliness of the facility, and its security is what really drives my five star rating. read more

There are a LOT of storage facilities in the area, and I called a bunch of them, but Security Public Storage in El Sobrante/San Pablo far outpaced the others. First and foremost, with excellent customer service. And I know that sounds cliche, but they are really genuinely friendly! They explained all about the available units clearly and concisely, no hidden fees, and they even had homemade chocolate chip cookies in the office! (That might have sold me! Hehe) If you are looking for a storage facility in the area, with great rates and an excellent and friendly staff, then this is the place for you. I highly recommend them! read more

The customer service here is top notch. The grounds are always kept clean, and never see any trash laying around. This place is VERY secure and both my husband and I feel very safe storing our things here. Whenever we have a question the managers always answer it with no hesitation. I have stored at other companies before and I can definitely say that the rates are very reasonable for the quality experience you recieve here. They also sell anything that you would need to make your move easier which is a huge plus when you do not want to stop at multiple stores. I use to have a storage thing at Public Storage that happens to be next door to Security Public Storage. I have to say every time I have ever gone to get into my storage unit at "Public Storage" NO! one was ever their. I couldn't get into my storage when I needed to and they were ! So ! rude. Secruity Public Storage moved me in and were so nice and offered me coffee and donuts. How wonderfull is that. Kim and Jim are really nice people. I even can get into my storage unit 24 hours a day. AND! for writting this I get 10% off my rent. You will see me more often on here. read more

The units are clean and the location seems safe. However, I've had a number of billing issues that have been more difficult than necessary to resolve. The payment history information online can be confusing and for a number of months I was charged a $1 admin fee for supposedly receiving paper statements even though I receive my statements online. While the owner/admin staff are very friendly and want to be helpful, they aren't as on top of their billing system as they should be. Prompt attention is given to complaints and problems though which is a plus. read more

I stored my personal belongings here for about 5 years before moving into my new apartment. The staff are amazing and the facility is well maintained. I checked on my items a couples of times and it was absolutely secured the entire time. I like the fact that they have a freight elevator if your unit is on the second floor. I was a walk-in . There were 2 men behind the desk who were very friendly and helpful. Tyler brought me around and showed me the unit before renting. A storage space is a storage space, they were all pretty much the same. But Security Public Storage gives you six months at about half price. I'm not looking for long-term storage, so this was perfect for me. I was able to get a bigger space than I could normally afford. So I'm pretty happy with the deal. read more
