She never mentioned there was a charge, didn't ask how many we wanted, and simply brought out two orders. Since she offered it and never explained it was an extra charge, we naturally assumed it was complimentary for the birthday celebration. Things only went downhill from there. The rest of our group was given a hard time at the front because they didn't know the exact name the reservation was under. We were also given grief for placing birthday presents on a chair at the end of the table, a chair the staff had placed there. We were told the chair was interfering with the wait staff, even though it wasn't blocking any walkways. It seemed like every interaction came with unnecessary attitude. Once we were all seated, our waitress seemed to have a chip on her shoulder from the start. She never brought out our ranch-style bread, rarely refilled our drinks, and repeatedly reached across the table, passing plates directly in front of people's faces instead of simply walking around to serve them properly. When our dinners arrived, our empty salad and appetizer plates were still sitting on the table. We had to ask her to clear them just so we had room for our meals. If we needed anything, we had to catch her as she hurried past our table because she never stopped to check on us. She would keep walking while we tried to ask for what we needed, so we had to quickly rattle everything off before she disappeared. To top it off, she was openly talking about our table to the guests seated behind us. It was completely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable. The level of service was disappointing from beginning to end. When my bill came, the total didn't add up correctly. I politely pointed out the discrepancy, but instead of checking it, she came back with the menu to prove I was wrong. Ironically, the menu proved she was the one who made the mistake. She even tried telling me I was comparing the menu price to a receipt total that included tax. I had to explain that the tax was calculated separately at the bottom of the receipt. Rather than apologize, she walked away and sent the manager over. Thankfully, the manager immediately recognized the error and corrected my bill. By that point, my family had enough and just wanted to pay and leave. To make matters worse, they were told they couldn't pay until everyone at the table had received their bill. The food didn't make up for the service, either. It was hot and humid inside the restaurant, the burger was as tough as a hockey puck, they were out of beef ribs so we settled for pork ribs that were mostly fat, and the steak lacked any flavor. To top it off, the restrooms had a strong urine smell, which only added to the overall poor experience. The only highlights of the evening were the company we were with and the Costco birthday cake we brought ourselves. I had read the recent reviews before coming and hoped people were exaggerating. They weren't!!! I wanted to give this place another chance because of the great memories we had at the one in Colton, but sadly, those memories are all that's left. If you're thinking about making the drive because of nostalgia like we did, I'd recommend reading the recent reviews first. I wish we had listened. We won't be returning. Thanks for a horrible birthday experience, Sundance & staff!

One word review: HOLYSHIT. Look, they have a sign outside that says "Best Chilaquiles in the I.E.", so being a good Southern Californian, I ordered them one up with a coffee expecting yet another mediocre restaurant-made chilaquiles plate. Nope. My wife and I were served up no more than five minutes after having ordered with that I can only describe as a bowl of chilaquiles you'd receive from the homie's mom when you were a kid. Soggy chips? Not at all. Sauce? Damn good, but not overpowering. Onion and cilantro? Fresh, and plated in a way that adds a little fancy to the familial kitchen vibe. That red sauce, though... I requested a small side of the red sauce because I always order my chilaquiles with the green stuff, and the red came in a soup bowl. Not a little plastic cup, not a small saucer, a fucking 16oz bowl. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. Seriously. It's sitting in my fridge here at the office and I cannot wait to dig into it as soon as I get home. I don't know what I'm making for dinner tonight, but that red sauce is going on top of it. Fantastic Lunch at SeD Cocina My wife and I stopped by SeD Cocina for lunch after seeing a video showcasing their food, and we're glad we decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the quaint café atmosphere. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and had a warm, inviting feel. The staff greeted us right away and made us feel genuinely welcomed. We didn't have to wait at all and were seated immediately, which made for a great start to our visit. We found this spot on our drive back from Vegas. after a long journey, our tired bodies craved comfort food, and Sed delivered beyond our expectations. There was not one specific waitress. It was a collective group of people coming to the table for different things. They brought us chips and salsa. The chips were very stale! Finally, somebody came over to take our drink order that took a minute to bring us our drinks We finally placed our order for our food again that took a long time to receive our food. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen, but we were there a good 20 minutes before we received anything. They sat a family next to us with screaming kids, jumping around making a mess and it was very close to our table. It just was not an enjoyable experience. We noticed when we were leaving there was lots of seating in the front and was quiet. The food was good nothing special We did enjoy what we received but the overall experience and the customer service is very lacking. This is a restaurant I would only do once and never come back too again service is extremely slow and it is pretty pricey for what you get

Indoor seating fills up fast, and you may be left with outdoor seating. During hot weather, the patio can feel quite humid, and the outdoor chairs can become uncomfortable after sitting for a while. Service is decent and about what you'd expect when the restaurant is busy. Overall, we enjoy coming here with friends for the food, happy hour, and lively atmosphere.

They also have an outdoor patio for seating which on cooler evenings look appealing. The crowd is a nice mix of college, families and people looking to have a nice evening . It is big enough I could only eat half, and brought the other half home for lunch the next day! The chips are just OK here, but somewhat addictive. You can't stop eating these over cooked hard shells! Lol. Your first batch is free, then they charge you $2.50 if you want more. They use to give you unlimited chips at their old location. They should bring that back because these chips cost nothing to make. That was a little disappointing. .50 cent charge for more salsa too. I guess they gotta pay that high rent somehow, right?! Check back in the future, I'm guessing they will change this when they have been at this location a bit longer. All in all, same great food, different servers tho. There was some random guac on the side that also had no flavor. Like damn, squeeze some lime on that b*tch, and maybe some salt. Serving with limes on the side would've gone a long way actually. I feel like it's a basic spot for basic, mostly white Claremont clientele. I'd come back for a convenient lunch but I'd never recommend it to a friend who is actually interested in good ethnic food.

Unfortunately, on several occasions, I've either received only two sauces for an entire chicken or no sauces at all. I'll admit, it's partly my fault for not checking the bag before leaving, so I've now made it a rule to double check every order before I go. Today, I ordered a whole chicken and a double salad. When I picked up my order, I noticed there were several containers of sauce in the bag, so I felt the containers and assumed there was a mix of salad dressing and the yellow and green sauces. I didn't open the bag to check. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized that all the containers were salad dressings and there wasn't a single yellow or green sauce for the chicken. 7 salad dressing containers. The food itself is great, which is why I keep coming back. This review is really for the young staff working there, please slow down for a second and double check the orders before handing them to customers. Missing sauces might seem like a small thing, but when they're one of the best parts of the meal, it makes a big difference. Hopefully, this helps prevent it from happening to other customers. I'll definitely be checking my bag before I leave from now on.

Although the waitress did check on me from time to time, she never asked me for a water refill - and clearly my cup was empty. Also when I arrived, why was I not offered the chicharrones de harina and the gentleman in front of me got some right when he arrived. The ambiance was chill and quiet. There are 4 Tabs which I'm sure this place gets busy on game days. Definitely a place to check out for the ceviche.

The food wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't say it was good, either. More just edible. The extreme amount of MSG made it extremely offputting and left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. We really wanted to love this place since it's only about seven minutes from our house... But unfortunately, we will not be back.
