Service was great, we had a very nice waitress and when we ordered our foods we were also given a bit of ribs to compensate for the wait for the food by either the manager or the owner as they ran a bit behind in the kitchen, which was very nice. The ribs were delicious, but we weren't too impressed with the ribeye and T-bone was good. We asked to substitute the sides but we thought it came with the meal as I am diabetic and we weren't told about any extra costs which should have been made aware to the customer. The ambiance is a bit dark but cozy. It is hillarious to see all the ties that were hanging in the restaurant! I was laughing at that.

Corn bread order with butter and honey - very good, but extra cost.

Fun old time steakhouse with great service, good seating esp with a reservation. Steak was done to perfection. Potato, asparagus and cornbread are extra $ but tasty.

Locals had told me about this place for years and how they'll literally cut your tie if you walk in wearing one. So I finally got to see if the rumors were true... and they WERE! They cut off all our ties!! Which honestly, it made for such a fun, unique experience, and I could totally see myself coming back From the moment you walk inside, you're greeted with walls full of previously snipped ties, which was pretty cool to see and definitely added to the anticipation haha As for food, we ordered the Space Dusts, Orange Tequila Martini, Steak & Chicken, Grilled Salmon, baked potatoes, beans, cornbread, and side salads. The steak and salmon were great and I loved that the baked potatoes were a good size and came with cheese, sour cream, green onions, and butter. The ranch for the side salad was also perfectly creamy. Overall, I really enjoyed our dinner and the memories we made that day :)

Went here last night for dinner with my boyfriend's family for his brothers bday! I haven't been here in over 10 years, I know this is a San Dimas staple. Its dark, rustic, lively, & all about comfort food. I remember all the quirks to this place & think the whole tie idea is hilarious so I told my boyfriend to make sure to wear one! Haha It was a packed house when we arrived, parking lot & restaurant. We got seated right away since we had reservations so that was helpful! Service was great we had a nice lady who got us all we needed throughout the night! As for the food... mmm there are some things that lacked. The bread wasn't the best, it was dense not soft, plain, not warm pretty much nothing to it. We all ordered different cuts of steak, the trail boss (which was okay I feel like it lacked in seasoning or just salt but the cook was fine) cowboy steak (which we ordered medium rare but came out medium/ medium well) so they were nice enough to bring him a new one so that was great on the service part, everyone else liked their options from the ribeye (he actually just wished there was a bone in ribeye), the NY steak & the filet they all enjoyed. As for the sides, Mac & cheese was just okay. The sautéed mushrooms were good! Corn bread was tasty! Baked beans were alright. The staff also sang happy birthday & gave ice cream to my boyfriend's brother for this bday! They did cut the tie off my boyfriend which we all found humorous & fun! To wrap it up. Service 5/5 Food 2.5-3/5 Ambiance 4/5

Complimentary bread, salad that came with our meal, and complimentary ribs for it being our first time
    Robbie M.

We got the ribs and steak combo in order to try different things and share. The ribs were VERY good, but the steak was a bit chewy, ordered medium. It was $48. I don't go to steakhouses much at all, but that seems like a ton for what was served. It came with salad, beans, and bread. The brown (rye?) bread was so sweetly delicious! And great dipped in the beans, too. We had mentioned to the waitress that it was our first time, and then we ordered. Later, while we were waiting for our food, she brought us a small plate of ribs and told us she had been informed it was our first time (I guess by the host, who we had also mentioned it to too), and that all first-timers get free ribs. That was fun to hear, and of course we appreciated it, but if we had known that we would not have ordered ribs as our main! The other unexpected thing was finding out from our receipt that sharing a meal cost $4.50 extra! What?! Yes, she did split the beans into two bowls and the salads onto two plates and asked us each what dressing we wanted, but I assumed that was complimentary and kind... Not something that was going to cost extra. We would have happily eaten from the same plate!

Great lunch service and certainly more than enough good food. Really like their ranch dressing and the chicken seems fresh not just some heated up frozen stuff

I feel slightly bad giving PInnacle Peak's a 3 but I do so to encourage the management to take a look at the place. I could have gone 1 or 2 on some aspects and a 5 on others. Why is that? 1 - service was a 5, very attentive, friendly and helpful 2 - bread was okay, didn't really have an opinion 3 - cornbread and butter was awesome 4 - server recommended the French Dip - it was okay - meat was a bit thick and fatty and bread was burnt 5 - getting feedback from our table everyone enjoyed it and fun to see a neighbor's table have ties cut off Overall, it feels dark and a bit dilapidated. I know it's supposed to be rustic but rustic needs to be maintained. I feel for the place because it's a cool old building and I'm sure it's a lot to maintain. But, I think a little sweat and effort could go a long way. I'll give it another shot. I'd like to review dinner as we came for lunch.

1/2 rack of Pork Ribs & 10oz center cut sirloin steak. Not the greatest quality of meat

Thought I'd try this spot again to see if anything had changed since my past experience. Pinnacle Peak has a unique and memorable atmosphere--definitely one of the more fun and quirky dining environments I've been to. The walls lined with cut-off ties give the place a lot of character and charm. It's a cool experience if you're looking for something different. That said, the food still doesn't didn't live up to the setting. The steak, ordered medium rare, was tough and clearly not the best quality. For a place that prides itself on steak, that was a letdown. The rest of the meal was just okay--nothing particularly stood out. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which helped balance out the experience. Overall, Pinnacle Peak is worth visiting for the atmosphere, but don't go in expecting a top-tier steakhouse meal.

This steakhouse has been feeding customers for generations, established more than 50 years ago. It's is a VERY casual atmosphere with a ranch style and Cowboy theme. This is an excellent restaurant for graduation or Father's day (hint, hint, they are sure to enjoy the casual environment). Full bar, beer and wine available. The Hostess greeted me and served me right away. The tables were adorned with red-checked tablecloths over a picnic-style table. The Hostess reappeared as the Server and Food Runner. She was the only one on duty and handled it all with a smile and accommodated my special requests. I ordered the Diablo Burger that came with Serrano peppers, grilled onions, Pepper-Jack cheese (lettuce, tomatoes and pickles), a side of pinto beans and a small bag of potato chips. SPOILER ALERT: Dressing up and wearing a shirt & tie will get you in trouble! A cowbell and siren will ring out as the servers circle your table and cut your tie off and tack it to the wall! Look at the display behind me. It's all in fun, don't tell the guest of honor. Get your camera ready to take a photo when it all happens live!! MENU HIGHLIGHTS: -Trail Boss 28oz Porterhouse. -Cowboy Cut 20oz T-Bone. -Cowgirl Cut 16oz T-Bone. -Cattlemen 12oz Ribeye. -Little Mavericks menu for kids 12 years and younger (hot dog or 1/3 rack of pork ribs), includes salad, pinto beans, bread, soft drinks and ice cream scoop. Steak, Chicken, Pork Chops, Shrimp, Pork Ribs combos are available. Sandwiches of Prime Rib Beef Dip, Chicken Sandwich, Burgers, Cobb Salad, Grilled Chicken Cesar Salad. If you can, save room for dessert! -Apple Pie ala Mode; Brownie Sundae; Mud Pie; Chocolate Cake; and Apple Cobbler. NOTE: They do have Keto and Vegetarian options. Plan on having a good lunch or dinner Tuesday-Sunday and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!

Still fantastic food, all these years later. Pretty sure I first tried Pinnacle Peaks was in the late 90s. It's been a couple years but this place is still delicious. A Cowboy steak is enough meat to last most people 2 meals.

City slickers with ties get their ties cut off haha

Casual steakhouse for the cowboy/girl experience. The prices are reasonable and steaks are well prepared. Great place for the family and kids, its has a very special atmosphere, they have fun cutting the ties off the braves souls that walk in with a tie...haha

Last night, we returned once again, and it reminded us why this place has become so special to us. To start the meal, we shared the Housemade Artichoke Spinach Dip, which was incredibly creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It was the perfect way to begin the evening. For our entrées, our group of four ordered one Wagyu Denver Steak and three Crown Roast Pork dishes, which have become our all-time favorites. The Bone-in Iowa Duroc Smoked Mignon of Pork was grilled and glazed to perfection with the restaurant's signature Smoked Pepper BBQ Glaze. We ordered it cooked medium, and it came out juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Roasted Corn Succotash complemented the pork beautifully. Every dish was outstanding, and the service was equally impressive. Our server, Kim, was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and always greeted us with a warm smile, making our celebration even more enjoyable. Of course, no birthday celebration here would be complete without the Cinnamon Bread Pudding. Freshly baked and served warm with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and cinnamon sugar crisps, it is simply irresistible and the perfect ending to any meal. The evening turned out wonderfully, filled with delicious food, excellent service, and great company. It's easy to see why we've been returning year after year. Tiramisu (6/10): Not the best tiramisu I had because it is more liquid. The server says they never add rum to it. Prosciutto e Burrata (8/10): I was expecting more from this dish but it tastes pretty basic. Nothing special or impressive.

I would be willing to forgive these things were it not for the declining quality in customer service from the hostess. I have been knowing the hostess, maybe she's the manager/owner too since even before they moved. Many happy memories were had in the previous location and she also seemed in much better spirits back then. Food quality has gone down. The prices are reasonable, however. But you walk in and are asked if you have a reservation. If you say yes, much joy! If you say no, it's like you've created a major inconvenience for them. Myself and wife have sat in the little bench waiting to be seated and we can definitely tell that reservation guests get treated much nicer than walk-ins. My advice is do not walk-in, make a reservation if you want to try this place. The spark is gone and I don't know who's in charge now but there are other better, much more customer service oriented places, around La Verne.

The ambience of this location is simple still very clean great lighting. The boost could need a little repair, they came by and asked if we were doing OK. Check up on our drinks and they were delivered with such pure. I was taken back with such joy. People were piling in this restaurant, and the drinks came out. The salads came out, and the soups came out looking beautiful in a very short time. The kitchen must've been really getting ready for this amazing Father's Day celebration. I ordered the chicken snack dinner. Which is truly my favorite. My father ordered the large chicken salad Thank you for making this Father's Day so very special for me.

While this often signals unwelcome adjustment for patrons accustomed to the manner in which an established restaurant's dishes are prepared, changes in recipes and/or ingredients being used, or just a plain old difference in overall taste or presentation, I'm happy to observe that, as a customer for decades, this wonderful little gem of a restaurant has maintained the key characteristics - both in food quality and service - that made our family fans so long ago. There have been some recent additions to the menu, in both dish selection and beverage variety, which actually align the restaurant better with contemporary tastes and dining trends. Traditionalists need not fear, however, as the old menu standards still remain and are as good as ever. (In fact, I didn't realize there had actually been a change in ownership until I directly asked our server after not seeing some of the usual staff over the last couple of visits; otherwise, I wouldn't have known.) In terms of ambiance, new booths were recently added (and are more comfortable), but the overall decor remains basically the same. Similarly, the service continues to be on point with dishes prepared upon order and delivered quickly, drinks refilled/refreshed regularly, and vacated tables cleared and cleaned in a timely manner. In summation, the Chopsticks House is as good as ever - and with a recently expanded menu, too. Portions are extremely generous, and they do not skimp on the proteins or quality of ingredients. Additionally, the popular lunch specials remain and continue to be a great value for early afternoon diners.

The champagne is more like prosecco, and I don't prefer so many places calling it champagne as a marketing gimmick if it's not actual champagne. The beef ribs, prime rib, and chilaquiles were great, while the shrimp, crab legs, fajitas, and most of the salad offerings were very poorly executed. I'd advise to take a little of each to find what's good so you can freely enjoy the subsequent rounds. I like the ambience here - I can see the potential of a nice dinner setting by the windows but during the daytime, it makes no difference where you sit - additionally, lighting is poor if you sit by the window during the earlier daytime. I like the mining theme which is all spread out around inside and outside the restaurant. Service is okay - some flagging down is required but requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, our celebration was surprisingly cut short for a 2-hour dining limit which we were unaware or ever experienced previously. Exactly at 12:40 PM, we were asked to leave our table. While I understand that high-volume restaurants track table turns, I was surprised because we have been coming for years, to celebrate milestones and this was never something we had experienced before. The manner in which your team executed this policy was professional , offering a place at the bar lounge, however, two of our party are elderly with one having recently had back surgery and needed the booth set up to sit easily. Instead of treating us like valued patrons celebrating a milestone, birthday and retirement, we were made to feel like an uncomfortable burden and we were forced to cut our birthday gathering short. As returning customers, we chose your restaurant specifically for its reputation and beautiful atmosphere. Regrettably, this experience left our guest of honor feeling rushed and unwelcome. I hope you will review how your team enforces these time constraints, particularly when dealing with families celebrating special occasions.
