Great course. Really enjoyed playing here. Beautiful atmosphere. Very well maintained.

Views are great, but course is in terrible shape right now (so bad that they're giving every player a $20 credit). Almost all the greens have large amounts of dirt/dead spots, and there are big swamp areas throughout the fairways from the rain. On top of that, you can tell they just don't care anymore. Every par 3 tee box is destroyed because EVERY seed fill container is empty so players can't fix their divots even if they wanted. That's just lazy and/or cheap on managements part. They know that the tourists will pony up the money to play regardless, but they have just let this course plummet quality wise. The head greenskeeper should have been fired ages ago. Too bad.. because I love the routing and the views but $140/round in August may too much money. read more

Overall it's a beautiful track in good shape, but the grounds crew kinda wrecked the experience. Sand hadn't been raked so it's hard pan and growing weeds. Pins not moved for days so the cups were CHEWED up BAD. 1st green the guy is literally flooding the green as I try to putt. They mow the grass mid day and don't stop when they are near you teeing off or around the greens. The basics boys. The basics... Oak Creek and even the executive Canyon Mesa were in better condition by FAR. read more

Do not play here! When checking in the guy in the pro shop said some of the courses under construction. The entire course is under construction! Greens are horrible. Fairways are trenched tee boxes are junk. Don't waste your time here. The starter tried to tell us that every course was like this in the valley, it is not. Save your money go play somewhere else this place is trash. read more

Very polite staff... find the course right after the collective shops. Turn at the roundabout, then left Crown Ridge Rd. Then left and circle up to the top of the hill. Great views of the red rocks and of Bell rock. It's a beautiful experience at this golf course. Great gold shop w cute colorful clothes and hats ! read more

It's mostly been said, but a nice course with views that belong on a postcard. Course was in decent shape in March, and the repair/upgrades underway did not impact our round. We were lucky to be first one's off at 0800 -- finished right at 4hrs. BEWARE: I do not recommend the BFast burritos from the bevvie cart. Smaller than a child's fist, and pretty sure the filling was recycled from the previous nights dinner. Inedible. read more

The grounds here are exquisite! Every hole is surrounded by pristinely curated landscape! The red rocks sharply contrast against the green resulting in a balance of harmony that can only be seen to be fully appreciated! read more

Played the course 6/6/26. 1) No water on the carts 2) Grill was closed, so could not get a drink there 3) Course has two water stations, but one had no cups 4) Bought one beer and two waters at the pro-shop, but no more as we were told there would be a cart girl on the course 5) Cart girl apparently entered the Witness Protection Program, as we did not see her for the entire 18 holes 6) Cannot get drinks at the turn, as there is no. "turn". 18 is the only hole that finishes near the clubhouse. 7) Could not get a drink after the round ( ~6pm) as the pro-shop was closed With temps near 100 degrees, there is just no excuse for the above read more

Views views views!!! Fun and challenging golf with undulating fairways and greens. Hole #10 is the most picturesque hole. You will have to see it for yourself. Course layout is really good, but conditions could be better as there are quite a few brown and mushy patches. My balls actually got plugged more than once. This usually only happens in the winter and/or after the rains. Regardless, we loved the course so much due to the layout , we went back the next day. Highly recommended. Bathroom: clean and well positioned throughout the course. A+ read more

Played this course back in 1998...looks like they haven't spent a dime on maintenance since then. Yes the views are spectacular but the course conditions were just awful...weeds everywhere including paths, rock steps, and on and around the greens. The fairways were rough with potholes. Scraggly shrubbery and trees. Large areas of refuse and debris between holes...huge eye sore. The bathrooms were just sad. For the money they charge expected so much more. This course is no longer the upscale destination course it used to be. We will not be back. read more

Would you believe that the course was muddy... in a desert! Not a well built course in that regard but the views and staff were great. Course is challenging and almost completely uphill on the front and downhill on the back. Bring a range finder or get an app for slope corrections. I used 18Birdies free trial and it made the world of difference! Makes you feel special when they clean your clubs when you finish. lol read more

The course is beautiful. Easy enough to play. Fun. Great views. The greens are a bit sloppy. I'd give a much higher rating if they hadn't pressured us for time. They had a grouchy Marshall out to pressure us along for about 6 holes. This wasn't due to our timing. It was because they put another golfer with us, who was due to start in the tee time behind us, but they scheduled a tournament and had poor timing and needed to rush us along because they screwed up. I'd recommend making sure there aren't conflicting events when you make a reservation. Other than that, have fun! read more

We golfed at Sedona Golf Resort on August 14th. We loved the layout and challenging holes! The staff was outstanding answering any questions. The course has some very fun/challenging holes. The greens were in pretty good shape but the fairways had numerous wet spots. Golfers missed them and drove through the wet areas leaving trenches made by the carts. Again, the layout really made this course fun! read more

The etiquette of the Marshalls could definitely use some improvement along with the training on what "pace of play" means. Our group was on a 4:05 round pace and were told 2 times by the Marshall to pick up the pace because we weren't behind the group in front ( never mind these guys were on a 3:30 pace) and the group behind us was 2 whole holes behind but still, for $150 I figured we would be treated better. Nice little track but definitely not worth the hassle. Played better courses for half the cost. Scenery was nice but you can see the beautiful scenery for a lot cheaper throughout town read more

I called the night before to get a tee time for the next morning. I saw it online for $99, I was staying at the Hilton next door and they have a special rate of $150. I went in the next morning and the guy at the counter said $160 plus tax, ( with an attitude) I said I saw it online for $99. He said you have to book it online, so I said cancel my original and I will book that. He said he would not do that, so I said how about the Hilton rare, he said that what I gave you. We loved playing there. I'm a fairly new player and I was very comfortable playing here. But I was playing with my husband and his son their experienced golfers. Every one was friendly. We never felt rushed. The grounds are amazing. Of course being in Sedona the views are amazing. They also have a very nice selection of everything in the pro shop. read more

visiting from california and we wanted to golf on a resort that would be affordable but also have great views. this golf resort was exactly that! we were able to get a 2pm tee time for 18-holes for roughly $45/person. we got through 15 holes before it started to get too cold and dark enough that finding our balls became difficult. driving range balls were included so that was a nice perk. course is definitely challenging (ranges from par 3 to par 5), but there was barely anyone else there on a thursday afternoon so we were told to take our time and go at our own pace so we really got to take in the amazing views on this course. read more

wow! What an awesome golf course. The views are incredible, great customer service, conscientious of the Covid 19 taking measures to ensure their patrons are as safe as possible. The course was in great condition! They have great drink drink specials, try the sparkling margarita its so refreshing in the Arizonia heat. They also have a great IPA Hop King and many other options. Carts are clean, the kitchen does close early or maybe it was just the day we were there. Call ahead for specifics if you plan on eating there. Nice bar area, merchandise for sale and deals, just a friendly fun course with majestic views. Can't wait to golf here again! read more

Beautiful course; however, they didn't spread out the tee times so it was a 5 hr round. We were stuck behind two large groups of 6-7 people, the bar was closed due to a wedding and there was no bev cart in sight for the entire round. We won't be back. read more

Of course the scenery is fantastic- but the course was beautiful! Beautiful fairways, beautiful landscaping. The only weakness were the greens. They were in pretty bad shape. Some looked like spots of a disease; all were aerated making for rough putts. Dining area was dramatic and food good. read more

Played this past weekend and it was an incredible course with stunning views. The grass was well kept and differentiated throughout the entire course. We did visit shortly after them punching greens, which we were unaware of, but they provided us with a credit for the inconvenience. All staff members I interacted with were very knowledgeable of the course and area, wish I had fought some of there names. Will definitely be plying again when I visit Sedona. read more

Honestly the only things that is great about the golf resort is the view of the mountains from your room and the view from juniper bar and grille. juniper bar and grille the staff is friendly and the food is pretty decent drink are pretty good I just think there's stuff within the resort itself that needs to be worked on not everything is gonna be perfect. read more

A top notch course with red rock views galore. Very friendly and attentive staff from the pro to the cart attendants. It has a full driving range and putting practice green for pre game warm up. It's pretty well maintained with lots of natural high desert vegetation and craggy washes that will swallow a poorly hit golf ball. Bring your camera or phone because you'll want to snap several keepsake pictures of the breath taking scenery. It's s fairly straight forward course without too many tricky holes but it's plenty challenging even for the most accomplished golfer. read more

Came here for a wedding. They did a great job with presentation, both outside for the ceremony (scenic backdrop behind bride and groom, guests facing away from sun), and the inside was decorated nicely too. They could've done a better job with directions though. Guests didn't know where to go, and there were no signs denoting "wedding this way". Food and drinks were really good, service could use help though. The waiters forgot to pour champagne for several people, including maid of honor, and when this was brought to their attention, the waiter acknowledged but continued serving food instead of re-mediating, thus guests were scrambling to pour half their glasses into others so no one would miss the toast. Additionally, bar tenders served everyone their first drink without ID-ing, then started asking for ID out of the blue when many guests didn't have wallets with them, some having to leave the wedding to get them, then come back. This is poor judgement for a wedding party, especially when many women don't have pockets to carry a wallet. Beautiful venue, but paying attention to the important things, like making sure everyone can toast to the bride and groom, need to be top priority. read more

Do not play this course for multiple reasons. First they do not have rangers to police the pace of play. Just finished a 5 hour round and we called the club house and no response with movement. The beverage shut down early because the 85 year old had to get home. So d trap are like hitting off of pavement. read more

The views on this course are AMAZING Best views of any course I've played (except for maybe Hawaiian or SoCal Ocean View Courses). The layout is fairly challenging and one hole #5 should be a par 6 honestly b/c it is soooo long and uphill all the way. Their irrigation system needs help though and there can be soggy spots especially approaching greens that can make some chip shots difficult. One par three #7 is ridiculous since it would take duct tape on your ball to make it stick on the green. But I always enjoy the friendly staff in the pro shop and the food in Juniper Grill is pretty good too. Ladies Day on the first Wednesday of each month is fun as are other events held regularly at SGR. read more

Dennis was extremely rude and unprofessional. Threatened to "have the cops meet us at 18" if I didn't give him my credit card, in writing. Told him we would cover what we owed at the end of the round and then he proceeded to call my girlfriend a spoiled brat. The pro shop is understaffed and want to give credit where deserved, but Dennis handled the situation poorly. Course is in okay shape, greens are freshly aerated (8/29). I've been playing here for 30+ years. The course has undergone numerous ownership changes. The deterioration in the course and the overall experience has been shocking. It is not what the name "Sedona Golf Resort" is likely to conjure up in your mind. "Very ordinary blue-collar muni with spectacular views" is far more accurate. Do not expect a first-class course in anything like first-class condition. The staff is always friendly and the golf shop is first-rate, but the course itself is likely to be a major letdown with weirdly spotted greens, many bare spots, and a strange assortment of grasses - "shaggy" would be an apt description. I don't know what happened to this former showplace, but it's sad. read more

We looked into different golf packages. Very pricy! So I decided to try and put one together myself. Staying at the Ridge above Sedona golf resort was awesome except no pets allowed! In AZ? No pets very disappointed. But the saving home run was choosing the pro's at Sedona golf resort for lessons and two great rounds. Mika set us up with Seth and Micheal. Two great guys who spent extra time with my family. We had such a great time and wanted to give the three of them a big shout out.
