This was our first time here tonight and I must say everything was great. From our waiter... who I completely forgot his name( short , spiky hair, white male) was absolutely wonderful. We ordered the land and turf and the shrimp stuff crab are to die for. The devil pasta, my son said was also delicious even thought it really doesn't have a kick lol. And the steak was made to perfection. My steak ended up coming out medium rare, but the kitchen and my waiter had me a whole new plate. I will begin with you cannot go wrong with any meal you order from Sedona. The food, no matter what you get is always tasty. Service can be slow when it fills up, expect a full house any weekend day. I like how they rotate specials and it's a friendly work environment. Drinks can get expensive and some of their cocktails do not taste like anything of the description. I'll go here if I'm not jn a rush (service can be slow) and if I feel like appetizers and a beer. I'd say it suited everyone's needs from the bar, to dining area, to back room! read more

Took the family for a quick bite before catching the new Mission Impossible and we all really enjoyed the food. The ambience is Colorado ski lodge feel and the server was friendly and helpful. Looks like there's outdoor seating so we might do that next time. We snagged a high top with plenty of room in a quieter part of the restaurant. Pretty impressive list of beers on tap but we just got food for this outing. We started with the seared Ahi Tuna and were surprised how well it was prepared. Everyone wanted more! For entrees we got the south Rim shrimp flatbread, the Thai Wings, the Land&Sea, the shrimp and grits, the simply wood grilled salmon and the Acapulco tacos !(which were a deal at $13) and it was all very good. Excellent location. The burgers are pretty solid. I've tried nearly all the salads and they've all been great. They also have a good beer selection. Overall, just a really solid spot. The service can be slow. It seems like they don't have enough servers during busy times. I know that's a common issue these days, but the last few times I've been, we've had to wait a while with empty drinks. Also, the bathrooms are consistently pretty dirty. Very disappointing experience at Sedona Taphouse. Service was terrible--our waitress was slow, forgot items, and even rolled her eyes when my sister asked for help with a beer flight. The restaurant wasn't busy, so there's really no excuse. The food was just as bad. Chicken Alfredo was overcooked and oily, not creamy at all. Other dishes were overdone, Brussels sprouts were burnt, my chicken was dry, and the asparagus tasted like a dirty grill. To top it off, my husband got sick shortly after we left. $250 for a meal for five that was poorly executed with awful service. Would not return. read more

TLDR; sub par food with a worse experience Service - I had SUCH a bad experience at this location. It's a shame because I love Sedona, and I need more restaurants to go to in Midlo but unfortunately we will not be back. Came for a late lunch around 3, and despite being pretty empty the service was very slow. The part I actually took issue with was I ordered a "side Caesar salad," it looked like a side salad but then I was charged entree price. There is no way that salad is worth over $10. When I spoke to the manager about the fact that I didn't order an entree I was basically told too bad with zero accommodation. I find this practice incredibly unethical. If someone orders a side, and that's not an option, that should be made clear up front. Food: NY Strip: good but not great. Caesar salad: incredibly small portion for an "entree salad" with no protein. The dressing also tasted really bad (not like Caesar dressing). I couldn't finish it. Devils Pass Pasta: delicious! Simply put, the food is not tasty or unique. It is a good menu but the food lacks ingredients and texture to make it stand out. I waited to go here twice before giving it a review. The hosts are polite and the servers are very friendly and make you want to come and visit and give it another try but the food is a dub! There's ample parking and low lighting once inside. It is spacious although narrow once in. This last go around I ordered a soup and salad, the soup was from their seasonal menu. It was butternut squash and it came out chunky like it had been pureed, definitely not soup. The salad was a simple garden with added chicken. The chicken had 0 flavor to it. Sedona would be somewhere to go for apps and wine if in the area but not a date night spot and definitely not taking potential clients. read more

( Apple and grapes) When I got my order, it was fish and fruit no french fries. Very deceiving.. I eat fish and chips at every restaurant I can and I've never had this before. Hostesses just chatting as we stand there waiting to ask for a table, get seated- over 3 beers are out and there were no suggestions for ones available...at a Tap House! Took over 20 minutes to get ice teas and then zero refills after sitting empty for another 30 minutes. Asked for steak tacos without black beans, comes over covered in black beans. Ordered the kids "steak" this was actually just 3 slices of steak. Enough for a toddler, not a real kid. Horrible service, horrible food. Will not be back. read more

First time here. Had crab stuffed mushrooms. They arrived lukewarm and sent them back. I expected a better quality of food since my sister and brother in law were frequent patrons. My server was Mackenzie. We arrived and waited 10 minutes to be given menus. Ambiance was ok. It was not very noisy. But I was seriously disappointed by the food. I hope the chef has a better day. The replacement dish came back hot. I should not have had to returned food. To the manager at the Midlothian restaurant please do better, otherwise my family will not be returning. read more

This is one of my favorite stops when in Richmond for work. The location and parking is convenient, the menus has a great variety for all types of eaters, prices are reasonable and I love being able to sit inside or outside. It does get busy even on weekdays. First time eating here. Was very impressed with the ambience of the restaurant, very clean and classy. Perfect date spot that won't break the bank. Got the Prime Rib Sandwich which was really good, 7/10, as well as a monthly special French Onion Soup, which I was pretty disappointed in. It looked pretty but wasn't very flavorful, and the cheese had a texture that put me off a bit. Only took a few bites, 3/10. Girlfriend got the Gorgonzola salad which was yummy, 7/10, and a gluten free Margarita flatbread, which she liked. read more

There were some definite highs and lows of this meal. The service was quick, server was polite and did a good job. The bread appetizer was amazing. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. My husband got the chicken wrap and it was missing a avocado(which the waitress did bring) and it was supposed to be a cheddar jalapeno wrap and it was just plain. These things made the overall flavor bland in his opinion. Would go back as we enjoyed the restaurant but maybe for dinner as the menu appears to have more options. read more

Great gluten free options. As someone with celiac disease it's something I'm very careful about. I had the shrimp appetizer, fish and chips, and creme brûlée and flourless cake desserts. All were delicious and can confirm they were safely GF for me. The atmosphere was perfect for the holidays too! read more

Had dinner with the Mrs., Alex was our server and she did an incredible job! My wife had the crab cakes with sweet potato fries, 2 good size portions with nice sears on the outside and very moist inside. She also loved the sweet potato fries. I had the Clam Chowder, it was spot on Also the Thai Chicken Wings. Nice sweet sticky coating and just the right amount of grilling. The Mango Olive Oli Cake was good. Update - July 4: A Surprising Redemption and a Wonderful Lunch At my husband's request, I gave Sedona Taphouse a second try--and they redeemed themselves (for the most part) with a delightful lunch experience. This time, we were seated in a smaller dining room, which offered a more private, relaxed vibe compared to the bar-like atmosphere we experienced previously. I much preferred it. I ordered the fish tacos and was impressed--they were meaty, fresh, and full of flavor. My husband's burger looked absolutely incredible--even to me, a non-meat eater! We also tried the peach ice cream sandwich, which I had high hopes for. We ordered two but initially received one cut into little pieces, which took away from the experience a bit. Thankfully, when we mentioned it to our server, she quickly brought another that was also cut into pieces. Still, I think an ice cream sandwich is best enjoyed whole, not dissected. I would not order that again. I could barely taste the cookie. A huge shoutout to our server, Kayla, who was absolutely wonderful--attentive, kind, and made the visit that much better. All in all, this visit turned things around. I'm not sure it will be a frequent lunch spot for me, but I do think others will enjoy it. Worth a try. read more

Everyone liked their food orders. Service was a little sketchy. At one point a waitress lifted blinds near us flooding us with early evening light that was blinding. Did not even think that it might be unappreciated. Then, once we were finished with our meal, we had a difficult time getting the check. The waitress disappeared for a while and when she finally popped up she began a social conversation with another table (no ordering) that went on for what seemed like 6 or 7 minutes. Patience exhausted, we tapped her on shoulder to let her know we needed to go. All of the personnel were prompt, kind and accommodating. Our dinner and the food were served promptly but the orders were both less desirable. First I had fish and chips and my husband had a salad. The fish was cooked and hot but swimming in oil. The kitchen had not drained it. The chips (french fries were cold). I asked the waitress to bring some more which she did. We also asked that the dressing be on the side of the salad. It was not. The lettuce was swimming in dressing so we sent that back too. The French fries came back fast but by the time I was finished eating, my husband got his salad and ate alone while I waited for him. While he was eating the salad, he found a walnut shell big enough to cause internal damage if he ate it. Because everyone was so nice, we decided not to complain but pay our bill and leave. In conclusion, the service, other than the kitchen, was excellent and the server was professional but I honestly would not recommend it unless you're just going for a drink and don't mind second rate food from a second rate kitchen. read more

We had a dinner to celebrate one of our grandkids. She's 9 and this was her #1 choice. The restaurant is clean. The menu selections were decent for a chain. Service was good. My grand daughter loves one particular pasta dish and it was exactly as she expected. I had a burger and it was fresh and juicy and flavorful. We shared a variety of appetizers and would recommend any of them to anyone who likes chain restaurants. We were pleased to have taken the family to Sedona Taphouse.
