We've been here to the World of Beet chain several times and to this location two or three times. Best things about world of beer for me: There are lots of beer options to sate any preference or craving. If we want to watch a soccer game there are plenty of screens for them to turn it on for us even if other events are going on. We love the big pretzels. It's loud and sorta dim so if you want an outing that will keep a young baby calm and asleep, it works. Don't always love that vibe but it has its place and we've definitely utilized WOB for that after welcoming new babies! Things I don't love about this location: The seating options aren't very comfortable. We have often had long waits, or a hard time flagging down a server when we need something. read more

Came here for trivia night with coworkers for anime night. So much fun!! I don't think we won, but the food was delish, and the themed drinks were tasty. Been going to WOB every now and then. Having a great time at WOB is just like paying taxes. It's inevitable. Courtney is super friendly and walks the walk when it comes to beer selection (unrelated but also a great singer). Meanwhile, Joe is the man and is an absolute machine behind the bar. If you didn't know any better, you'd think the guy was an octopus the way he slings cold beers around so quickly. The beer selection can be intimidating for first timers, but if you tell Joe what you like, he's Jimmer Fredette during 2011 March Madness. Guy just doesn't miss. Manager Alyson is attentive, always checking on guests with a thoughtful and positive attitude. I rarely see issues there, but if something comes up you better believe Alyson is on top of it like a tipsy couple on prom night. I could live without the Tuesday karaoke, but to each their own. Three stars because this place is usually great however tonight had a really bizarre situation. We went in for dinner and saw they were doing trivia which I could hear from inside my car in the parking lot. I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to go somewhere else before even walking in because it was obnoxiously loud. We ended up going in anyways and got seated right next to the speaker. I asked if wr could go somewhere else again because we couldn't hardly even talk and we agreed to leave. We got up and left and who i assumed was going to be our server (hadn't been greeted at the table yet) followed us outside and started yelling at us as we got into our car. I came here on Saturday night and saw a special during the weekend where you can get 99c wings during football games which I took advantage of. I got 20 wings split with Garlic parm, dry rub, sweet fire, and buffalo. The wings were a great size and had great flavor. My favorite was the garlic parm and the dry rub. Staff was nice and checked up occasionally. They also had a good selections of beers as well with the option of getting small 5oz samplers. Overall a fantastic place for wings and an even better during there 99c wings during football games. I will definitely be back during another football weekend. Stopped in with a 6 friends for Sunday night football last weekend. Surprisingly the restaurant wasn't as crowded as I anticipated. Our server, Christopher/Chris was great but he was busy. From what we could tell he was working at least 3 other tables throughout the restaurant. However this lead to us asking other servers for small things and they weren't as pleasant as Chris was. I had to call after one server who walked right by our table for water. They didn't appear short staffed but Chris appeared to be the only busy server; as a result one of my friends did end up speaking with a manager. They have multiple screens and tv's so we got to see the game and an award show but it threw me off that there was slow rock and country music playing over the speakers. S/O to our server Chris because I asked if we could hear the game instead and he made it happen! The food was good! I really recommend the fried shrimp and Parmesan truffle fries. We were also able to take advantage of the 99c wing special (traditional wings only not boneless). I had the Parmesan garlic wings and while they were cooked perfectly the flavoring was off. I love this place for many reasons, the number one reason being that this is great for GOOD late night food! They are open until midnight for food, which is not as common in Short Pump area. My favorite dish is the Cali bowl, yummy! Get it with rice and greens. So good. Now this is a very much sports bar vibing type of place. There are tvs everywhere and they play all the current big sporting events. Now it's called World of Beer because they beer from every country apparently! Staff is super friendly. We got a giftcard for WOB and went by early on a Friday evening. It was really empty- we were one of like 4 tables in the whole place. We took advantage of their nice happy hour drinks and snacks, which are great prices. I enjoyed my sour, and Margherita flatbread (both HH items!). The service was okay- it took us 10-15 min to get seated by the host because they had to clean the table, which seemed a little long since there were almost no patrons to wait on at all. Our waiter was super nice and explained things really well though. She also checked with the kitchen for my partner's dietary restrictions (they have eggless boneless wings, btw, and they're GOOD), which was helpful and easy. Food came out hot and fresh and everyone thoroughly enjoyed everything we got (shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, boneless wings, flatbread, quesadillas). We'll be back soon! read more

This WOB is a typical chain restaurant. I would only come here for the drinks and not the food. I came here with a few people for an after birthday drink/appetizer get together. When we first sat down, they didn't even give us water or silverware. We had to ask for it all after we got our drinks. I ordered a sour beer that was actually good because the first drink I wanted (a cider) was out. I was sorta hungry, so I ordered 5 buffalo wings and the beer cheese nachos. The nachos were terrible. They literally had like 6 black beans... yes 6 that I could count and not enough of the beer cheese. The wings were decent. Overall, I would only come here for the drinks but not the food. read more

We have become regulars here. Our favorite is to stop here on date nights, and sit at the bar, before going to the movies. We of course always get the pretzel, perfect they run a special for those with movie tickets, and my go to dinner is the french dip with chilli. It's amazing. The service is great being right at the bar and they now have these great take home cans. I always rate my beers on the app so I know what I have and haven't tried. Trying to be fair, I ordered with just minutes to spare, though we were not told about it when the server came to the table and we read it off the wall. The chicken was dry and tough. I didn't feel like asking for a replacement as the server said we had to rush to get the order in. The waffle was good and the breakfast potatoes that accompanied it were okay. The Collective Arts Guava Gose and the Austin East Ciders Pineapple was reportedly, delicious. I personally found the sweet iced tea tasty. The brunch burger was served on a soft and sweet brioche bun. The burger was cooked to perfection, tasty. The fries, were fries.... The triple chocolate brownie tower was not the best we ever had but it, like the wings, was finished. The brownie texture was interesting. It was a decent visit, and my daughter's second. We visited this location for the first time on a weekend for lunch. The location is very easy to find in a nice shopping center and the parking was plentiful. When we got inside, the dining room was about at half to three-quarters of capacity and there wasn't a wait, so we were greeted and seated right away. This location had a sizeable list of drinks and beers on tap and the menu was a little large. I was surprised that no one asked if we had ever dined at WoB before so they could tell us about the company, offer suggestions, etc. However, the host and our server were both super nice. Although, our son was taken aback that the server kept sitting at our table with us. I do think the server was trying a little too hard to be friendly with the sitting at our table and some of the comments to our child. But I don't fault him for trying to earn a living. We still tipped well. Our order was taken quickly. We tried the pretzel we'd read people raving about online. It was very fresh with just the right amount of salty, crusty goodness on the outside to soft, pillowy deliciousness on the inside. It was the best pretzel I've had, but it was kind of close to the other ale house in the area. The food was delivered hot and delivered quickly. My spouse had wings that were nicely sized, cooked perfectly, and tasty. Our child ordered the kid's sliders with apple slices. The burger was thick and juicy and we all really liked it. The two sliders were a lot for a nine-year-old with a big appetite. I would suggest making a 1-Slider/2-Slider option to cut down on waste. I ordered the fish and chips. I didn't think either was anything special and I didn't eat the ends of the fish because they were all bread, no fish. We also did not like the coleslaw. I wouldn't order the fish and chips again. We ordered the Chimay burger with the Chimay bottled beer, it wasn't until we got the check that we found out the beer was $20 per bottle, and the bar staff never warned us, the same beer at the store is $7.99 per bottle. All in all for the two burgers and the two beers, it came out to $69.90 before tax and tip, the burgers were $14.95 each, which seems to be the norm now everywhere, which explains why people are dining out less. read more

I am glad I went back to try this place and did not do a review solely on my first experience My first experience was around lunch time and we were seated at the bar and then told..."I hope you dont want to order any food, the kitchen is not taking any more orders for the next 90 min"... so we left. We went yesterday and it was a much different experience. They have their own parking lot and there is indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit at the bar so we could watch some of the college football games. The bartender was really nice, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Pretty cool guy. I had a rhino pilsner which was excellent. I ordered the Chimay burger and my wife had a Cali bowl with shrimp. They were both very good, timely coming out of the kitchen and the burger was cooked the way I ordered it They have a lot of beers on tap and some of it includes local breweries like Kindred Spirits. After this experience, I will definitely go back again! So glad i gave it a second try. read more

We were here for burger Monday and decided to come back a few weeks later for taco Tuesday. Kris greeted us with a big smile behind his beard and took our order. He recommended a beer that I had not had and it was very good. It was like a blue moon and had a tangerine flavor. We came for lunch again while our car was being worked on.
