Frustrating Experience - Poor Communication, Delays & Interior Damage Frustration is the key word here. I contacted this company because, like many of you, I rely on reviews before making a decision. With their five-star rating, I expected a professional and smooth experience. Initially, the manager was pleasant and quick to assist, scheduling my windshield replacement for Friday, February 14th, between 9:00-10:00 AM. He informed me that I would receive a call from Tony, the technician, either that day or the next. Missed Appointments & Poor Communication The first issue arose on the day of the appointment. By 9:30 AM, I had received no call, so I reached out to the manager--no answer, so I left a message. At 10:04 AM, I finally got a call informing me that the technician would be late and would now arrive at 12:00 PM. A simple courtesy call before 10:00 AM would have allowed me to adjust my schedule accordingly. Instead, I was left waiting. Tony arrived at 11:40 AM--still late but within reason. We discussed the installation, and he asked me to disable certain features related to the windshield. I informed him that I would need to activate Full Self-Driving (FSD) after installation to ensure everything worked properly, and we agreed to proceed. Wrong Windshield & Unexpected Price Increase As Tony began working, I received a call from Dave, the manager, who informed me that their credit card machine wasn't working and asked if I could pay by check. I agreed without issue. Then, as the job neared completion, Tony informed me that they had installed the wrong windshield--it did not support autopilot features. Somehow, despite prior discussions, there had been confusion. Now, I was told I needed a more expensive windshield, costing over $400 more. Tony had to remove the incorrect windshield, drive 30 minutes to retrieve the correct one, and return for installation. He left at 2:00 PM and returned at 3:00 PM, leaving my car without a windshield in the meantime. During this delay, I called Dave and told him I would now be paying with a credit card instead of a check. He agreed, but this situation made me question whether their credit card machine was ever actually broken in the first place. Tip Request After a Messy Job After finally completing the job at 6:00 PM (when it should have only taken two hours), I went to pay my $1,691 bill, and the payment system prompted me to leave a 15%, 20%, or 25% tip--which meant the lowest option alone was an additional $253. At this point, my pillars were damaged, my car was dirty with glue, and the job took three times longer than expected, yet I was still prompted to tip. That was beyond frustrating. Interior Damage & Attempted Resolution Things got even worse. In the process of removing the incorrect windshield, glue got all over my headliner and A-pillars, and they were scratched beyond repair. A detailing company couldn't fix it--it was permanent damage. Despite the problems, Tony was apologetic and professional. He even offered to return on Sunday, February 16th to remove the pillars and take them to an upholstery shop for repair. Broken Promises & Delayed Resolution * Sunday came--Tony didn't show up. * Rescheduled for Monday or Tuesday--nothing. * Then pushed to Friday, February 21st--I refused to wait any longer. I took the car to Tesla, where the pillar repair cost only $69.40--a very reasonable price. Dave agreed to cover it, and I emailed him the invoice. However, as of today, Sunday, February 22nd, I have not received reimbursement. When you're spending $1,691 on a service, you expect professionalism, clear communication, and quality work. Instead, I got: * Missed appointment times without notice * Incorrect windshield installation * Unexpected price increase * Hours of wasted time (a 2-hour job turned into 6 hours) * Damaged interior that required additional repair * Broken promises for fixing the issue * Lack of follow-up on reimbursement * A tip request of 15%, 20%, or 25% on top of all the frustration Would I recommend this company? Absolutely not.
