My family is spending the summer in Scottsdale with our 18-year-old Dalmatian. Dalmatians need regular nail trims as their front nails grow quickly and walking becomes painful. She also seems to have a superpower enabling her to leave threats in a cloud of never-ending fur. It wasn't easy to find someone to take a last-minute groom but See Spot Shop was a godsend. They gave Duma a soothing oatmeal bath and nail trim. I'll continue using this groomer because I'm not sure what they did but she doesn't appear to be shedding nearly as much as she usually does and hasn't had a single hot spot flair up in a month. P.S. The groomer not only cut her nails but also ground them which seems to be the answer to her nail issues. Hopefully they won't grow quite so fast with this method. read more

They are so nice and knowledgeable, and also have a great selection of food and dog toys and accessories, leashes, etc.. but today was extra special. We had taken our dog with us to the farmers market, and somehow she got this black powder all over all of her paws. What a mess. they were able to fit us in and give her a bath and brush out. I previously wrote a review regarding my experience at this establishment. The groomer Janie sent this comment to me. The front desk told me that my groomer's name was Gabby. (Not sure what her name is and it seems as though the employees are covering for her. She has a right sleeve tattoo and long brunette hair) Janie thinks this situation was funny, however I take my dogs care very seriously. Especially with the history of abuse that he has experienced. I have to be my dogs voice, since he is unable to speak up for himself. It is my right to speak on my experience at this location. People have to speak up about something that is going wrong at an establishment so that the business, has an opportunity to make changes if there are issues. I've been bringing my 3 dogs here for the last year. The staff is so friendly and nice! My groomer is great and so understanding with the different needs of my crew. My golden mix is high energy and very anxious that I need to sedate her with CBD oil before appts. She still can "scream" and fuss during the groom because of her fears, and I'm ok with the groomer telling her to "stop" or "no" because that's what we do at home. We've been going here since the shop opened and Gabby always does a great job on my dog! We love supporting small businesses and their prices are fair. Our girl is 12 so she always has tear stains and darker paws due to licking, but this place does a great job of getting rid of it as much as they can. I was soo disappointed in the treatment I received there today I have been going there since it opened with both my shitzu and my labradoodle with no problems. In the last 6 months the staff is rude and I feel my dog is very anxious when I receive her. Today I asked for a Sani which should include bath and brush and a trim to face and bottom and cut nails. Within 5 minutes they called me to say she was ready. I couldn't believe it!!! I went to get my dog and they didn't wash her or trim her. My happy dog came out with her tail between her legs. They made me pay $40 and told me this is what I ordered when my dog has never had this before. Very rude and they did a horrible job on my dog. I would never recommend this place. I moved to Scottsdale last year and was looking for a groomer and happened to meet a groomer that said she worked at See Spot Shop, so I called and made an appointment at Thompson Peak and it was great. I made another appointment the following month and again my groomer was great and did a terrific job. The story goes down hill from there, I called again the following month and was told that the groomer I had been using quit. I agreed to have another groomer groom my dog. Unfortunately, my dog did not come out as I had requested. I always give the groomer very specific instructions on how I want my dog groomed. I have a Tibetan Spaniel/Japanese Chin and evidently they don't know what the dog looks like based on how he was groomed or the specific instructions I gave. I gave the shop additional opportunities to groom my dog and scheduled appointment with Charles who did a great job so I was happy they had another competent groomer for my dog. Charles was great and he groomed my dog a few times. I called to schedule an appointment with Charles but told he was not available so they told me I could schedule with a different groomer at their Pinnacle Peak location and had dog groomed and resulted in my dog developing a skin problem and started losing hair in clumps on his back. I treat my dog as a family member and took him to the vet resulting in extensive blood work and testing to find out what the cause was for his losing his coat. After $238 for testing and meds and medicated shampoo I was advised the groomer either used equipment that had probably not been cleaned properly or contaminated products which caused infection. I have pet insurance and my dog is seen regularly and have never had a problem like this before. I immediately notified the shop manager at both locations so they could correct the problem. I called to schedule another grooming appointment with Charles and told he was no longer there, so starting with yet another groomer Sherri. Everytime I have my dog groomed I meet with the groomer to go over the services I want and how I want my dog groomed so no misunderstanding but unfortunately this was HORRIBLE. The normal time most groomers take on my dog is approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hrs depending how busy the groomer is. I got a call 40 minutes after taking my dog to be groomed, I was surprised how quickly Sherri groomed my dog. I arrived at the shop and they brought my dog out still wet around his ears and totally chopped up and Sherri had left before I was called to pick up my dog so there was no discussion about the hatchet job. I was very upset and told them that she did a horrible job and did not follow my instructions to have my dog groomed. I immediately asked to speak to the owner and told she was not available and asked when she would be in and that I wanted her to call me that I was not happy about what was done. I also said I did not feel that I should be charged $58 for grooming based on the chopped job on my dog. I also asked if they could call the groomer back who they said just left before I arrived and they declined. They said I could bring the dog back so Sherri could re-do my dog. My response was " Do you really think I would give her another go on my dog after the botch job on my dog?" My dog's fur does not grow back quickly and she already chopped his fur, cut his ears that I specifically said not to touch, did not shave around his butt and did not trim fur on hind legs and chopped his coat around his neck and cut his mane which I told her not to cut and his chest which I also told get not to cut Told her I wanted his coat feathered so it would lay properly and she chopped his hair/fur and I need to take him to be groomed by a real professional that knows what a Tibetan Spaniel looks like to see if they can do any type of correction. DO NOT EVER TRUST THAT THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! THREE STRIKES AND YOU ARE OUT! I did email the owner before I left the parking lot because the staff refused to give me her number and said email Eilene the owner. Obviously she did not ever call me and I posted to a neighborhood group Nextdoor warning my neighbors about the horrible experience and horrible customer service at this establishment. I did finally receive an email stating I was uncooperative and a bully and said I lied about her groomer, which I did not but rather relayed my experiences and the number of opportunities to give this shop my business and allowed for the "mistakes" but enough is enough and she asked for pictures but told her I wanted her to personally see why I was so upset and she only wanted to email, she was too busy with 4 locations. Clearly, no customer service at See Spot Shop when the customer requests multiple times to meet with the owner but gets NOTHING! Stay away if you care about your pet, this is not a business I would ever recommend. read more

I don't normally complain but I feel that everyone needs to know how bad their customer service is and what happened to my dog. I have been to this grooming shop before and my dog has been groomed by Charles who did a fabulous job. Charles has left. Today we tried a new groom Jack. I told him that he had some mats under his arms & belly & his ears needed to be cleaned up. He asked me how short, I said not too short & I'd like a teddy bear face. I picked him up, he was completely shaved. You can see from the pictures (the before picture is from this past weekend). Jack told me he was matted all over & it took two groomers to handle him. We give him baths at home and brush, it never takes to people. Then I was charged extra. I got home & realized how upset I was. I called them to talk with them about my experience. The manager mistakingly hung up me, but never called me back. I called back, she said she can't do anything. She put Jack on the phone. Who told me was matted all over, difficult to handle. I asked him why didn't call me to tell me all over this, no answer to this. I was talking to him and HE HUNG UP ON ME! So unprofessional! They also cut his eyelashes!!!!! Never go here. read more

I love this place so much! I have been bringing my havanese here for grooming for years. She used to see Charles who we absolutely loved but he left and now she sees Jack who is just as wonderful. They do a full service grooming in under an hour and a half every time and my girl leaves looking beautiful and happy. I will never forget getting to the store early and I could hear the staff in the back where they do the grooming talking lovingly to my dog telling her what a great girl she is and how cute she is. These people genuinely love animals and I love having a place I can trust 100% with my girl!! read more

I take my Toy Poodle Honeybun to Charles to get groomed. He always gives her a perfect haircut! She looks so cute every time I pick her up. He is very knowledgeable about grooming poodles. I've had a lot of bad experiences with other groomers, but it's always good here. I have been taking my dog up to the See Spot Shop @ 23341 N Pima Rd and have had Emma do her grooming for over 3 years. I found out that See Spot Shop had a location that was closer located on Thompson Peak and Frank Lloyd. I made an appt with Gabby for either June 10 or 17? I found her to be very rude. I was trying to tell her what I wanted and she said she would figure it out! The receptionist called See Spot Shop on Pima to get the notes from Emma. When I picked up Laci, Gabby brought Laci out on her leash and handed it to me and walked away. I asked her how Laci did and she said she was OK. I asked her if there was a problem, and she said she moved alot! I left her a tip that day and wish I wouldn't have! Emma at the Pima location is so friendly and personable. She does an excellent job of grooming. After Gabby did her groom, one ear was longer than the other and she missed some spots all together. I will happily drive the extra distance to the Pima location. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. When it came time to pay, the receptionist told me I had to wait cuz she needed to get her order in!! I would have written my review earlier, but we have been on vacation. I would like to get my $$ back for the service!! read more

When Michelle was grooming my English Springer Spaniel there were no complaints coming from me. I normally don't complain, but this last time at Thompson Peak facility, Gigi, a new groomer to the shop did her cut. It came out hideous. Everything I said NOT to do, was done. She was cut extremely close on her head and neck and was nicked at her ear. Very unhappy about that. I never have her head and neck cut that close and assumed, erroneously obviously, that the fur would be blended in with her front longer fur. Her ears were not trimmed at all, requested. Her back end fur was left long at the legs and back end, specificially requested close cut back there. They cut close near the anus but that was it. Her belly fur wasn't touched, that I could tell. Requested to trim (shorten the fur). Oh well, I won't be using that groomer again. This review heading states I am from San Francisco, CA. How they got that who knows. I've been to all of the See Spot Shop locations, but this is by far my favorite. Although other locations are professional, this one was very friendly, comforting and empathetic. Front desk is very kind, personable and thorough! I had to go back in after I left to check if my phone number was correct and they didn't act like it was inconvenient at all! It's clean, organized, and the groomer--I'm pretty sure his name is Chase but I'm terrible with names lol--was was attentive and really listened when talking about my pup! I simply wanted a bath, nails, and trim. My smol boi was ready within the hour! He was cut and cleaned exactly how I wanted him to be. Chase was definitely on top of his shit :) I'm definitely only coming to this location from now on 10/10 read more
