I've been coming to this location regularly from the day they opened. Unfortunately most of the people who started out here no longer work at this location. I kept coming back because of proximity and the customer service which seems to be extinct now. Unfortunately, I will not be returning here after my experience today. I should have walked out and gone to another location. It's not the same here anymore. Natasha stated she was new and I was extremely patient, however, I stated several times the boxes were going to a DR. The wrapping of the chocolates were all over the place, it looked extremely messy and sloppy. She kept spitting on the chocolates as she kept talking. She had a mask on which was below her mouth which was completely pointless. With the flu and other viruses going around, I am concerned with the cleanliness of this place. I asked for a basic bow to wrap the boxes on top of each other. It was too complicated for Natasha. She went to Jocelyn with an attitude. Every year I do the white wrapping with red ribbon (the basic satin one), and was told it was extra. So I picked the red wrapping and she put a red bow on it (the reds don't match and are tacky). Had I known she was going to put red ribbon, I would've had the white wrapping paper. Needless to say, I asked to put my sample in a separate bag since my hands were full and was given a mouthful by another employee. I should have left everything and gone to another location, but I have learned and would like others to know - even if you're in a time pinch like me, drive the extra distance. Customer service here has gone downhill and I will definitely not be returning to this location. read more

I have been coming to See's in Encino for years. It's my favorite one. The parking is easy, it's nice that the store is not in a mall, & it's conveniently located next to places like CVS & Amazon Fresh. The ladies here are very helpful - especially when it comes to describing the chocolates. And they are very friendly & make fun conversation. Even the seasonal gals who work in the store are terrific. It's nice to have a See's where the staff behind the counter know what's on the floor & what item is coming in next. read more

I frequent various See's and it's always yummy ( from the dark chocolate Boudreaux, the chocolate covered coffee beans, the peanut brittle to the coconut chocolate lollipops) however the location on fair oaks in South Pasadena has the best staff I've come across. They are always welcoming and helpful and informative of any specials being offered. They are attentive and friendly- keeps me returning. Kudos. read more

I was very grateful for her patience when I realized I had forgotten to ask for a few of the candies in a separate bag and she was able to pick them out of the one bag. The best thing to happen to Encino in the past 10 years. Opened 7 days ago with very friendly staff and easy access. See's Candies is located in the Center where CVS is, where Ralph's used to be, and next to Chase bank. Nice bright clean place. I bought a small box of assorted chocolates. Lots and lots of free parking. All time favorites: Dark Bordeaux, Key Lime Truffle, Blueberry Truffle, and Dark Chocolate Butter. The first See's Candies shop and kitchen opened at 135 North Western Avenue in Los Angeles in November 1921. Next year is their 100th anniversary. I hope they're plotting something exciting. read more

I usually don't write a review but it kept bugging me what happened today. This store doesn't follow the hygiene rules. I usually go to La Canada Flintridge area but few times I visited this location. As soon as I entered the store one of the ladies came and offered a dark chocolate. She was also holding a milk chocolate but she didn't offer the milk chocolate until I had to ask for another option besides dark. But my problem is not that. It's that she was holding both chocolates with her bare hands. She walked like that to the middle of the store. Other location uses tray. And after giving me the chocolate she turned around and started coughing really bad. I really couldn't enjoy my chocolate after seeing that. So I decided not to eat because I didn't want to get sick. When I was buying my two boxes of 2lb chocolate I thought it's not fare to me not to have a chocolate for myself. So I returned the chocolate and asked to buy one for myself. Cashier was kind enough to offer that chocolate for free( instead of the other one). By the way the cashier was wearing gloves but I'm not sure if she removes and wears a new one when she touches chocolates. So the other girl again without gloves grabbed my chocolate and handed to me with her bare hands. And unfortunately I didn't eat that one too :( If she was not sick maybe I wouldn't pay attention and it wouldn't bug me this much. But I think people dealing with food should always wear new gloves before touching the product to give customers a peace of mind. Also, stay home when you are sick or wear a mask at least. read more

Came in for a few pieces of chocolate and was greeted by a very nice guy. The chocolate was delicious as always, the store was clean and a second employee came out who was also nice and friendly. They wore gloves and masks and included some yummy samples. read more

I walked in to the Encino location 3 days ago on Sunday and was greeted promptly by the staff. The girls were super friendly and I was able to pick my sample!!! Store was very organized and clean. Very quiet though. Maybe some background elevator music lol. read more
