This see Candy shop is located in the same parking lot of whole food , Mowry avenue in Fremont. As soon as you walk in , they greet you and offer you free samples of your choice . They have a nice display of all the candies they have . I love it that they offer a small gift box for you to hand pick the chocolate pieces you like into the box and then gift wrapped it . It costs by weight and is $19.67 for 12 pieces of chocolates. There are some sugar free options like chocolate almond , walnuts and low sugar chocolate like dark truffles. I am in love with their Halloween tin boxes and different flavors of lollipops that can fit into the tin . The lollipop is $1.25 each and the tin is $1.50 each Fun flavors like root beer , Carmel apple , butterscotch, pumpkin spices cafe latte colored film ! Nuts inside are so fresh . I always crave a scotchmallow from see's (marshmallow with caramel covered in chocolate) and I love how they switch it up during the holidays regarding the good ole scotchmallow (dark chocolate with mint marshmallow!). With my cravings on fire, I enter the store as my other half went to return Amazon. I of course always see what's new. I order 3 chocolates. The worker was soooo kind asking my preferences for my sample (wow). Gave me exactly what I described. Then proceeds to hand me a bag that weighs 4x the bag I purchased and tells me they're my samples. Me = completely speechless. We were back again for Christmas for our family for gifts. As I mentioned, I really only go here once a year for Christmas. It's always amazing how the prices go up every year. We were kind of shocked how much the price for a box has gone up over the years. We always grab the Costco gift cards to help have a small discount on the boxes. So that's your tip. I have gotten See's Candies from students and I think I do appreciate the dark chocolates as they're less sweet. Folks in here are quite helpful and we were given samples when we checked out. I feel like they don't really readily give out samples unless you're buying or if you ask. The times we went in, no one ever said, would you like a sample when we entered, it was only when we checked out. I think over all, it's still a good spot and a fairly nice gift to give family and friends if they like chocolate. I'm sure I'll be back again in December. read more

Went inside after receiving an email that my order was ready for pick up. A lady named Dimple and a tall big White guy were filling out a box which I inquired whether it was mine. They asked for my name and I assured it wasn't. They asked when it was placed and I said a few minutes ago. They automatically said they wont be able to give me my candy tonight. I asked about whether I can order something inside and they said no because it's 7pm. I told them I was inside but they declined to provide service because it was 7pm. For some reason I wasn't arguing tonight because I would have addressed the disgusting and blatant racism and failure to provide service even when I was there before the white lady they were helping. I proceeded to leave and went in my car to write this review and saw the worker come out loaded with candy at 7:07 pm. No surprise they were trying to close down shop at 7pm. Not the kind of employees that will make people come back. Only my second time in a Sees location and the customer service was disgusting. I do not recommend this location. I wanted a California gift for my Wisconsin visit. See's Candies was my first choice! Who doesn't love sweets?! I stepped in and was created by the most friendly lady. She let me browse and offered a few suggestions. She then offered a sample of the mint chocolate chip candy, OMG it was heaven! We chatted some more, I made my choices and then sweet Betty packed me a small treat bag for my flight. She called it "plane candies" . I walked to the counter with a box candy. All 3 employees ignored me. And then proceeded to help another customer who with his purchase. No acknowledge not even someone saying "will be right with you." BTW the customer they helped was a white man. I am Mexican and because of that they didn't care about my purchase. I went into the Los Gatos store and an older woman with grey hair waited on me. She was not friendly at all, which is unusual for See's. I was having her make up a custom box for me. When I asked her if 2 more pieces could be added, she said "You have to understand that the shape of the candy will not fit in the box". Very rude. I should have said to her "you do not understand that I am the customer and you will not demean me like that". See's should be more careful about who they hire. read more

I've always enjoyed chocolates at See's Candies my whole life. It's one of my favorite chocolates to enjoy. This See's is located in a complex that also includes Whole Foods Market, Boudin SF and Nick The Greek. However, finding a parking spot can prove difficult. It seems most of the parking is taken by customers of Whole Foods. But, this lot could use more spaces, but that won't happen, since the complex is built-out to the max. There have been occasions where I've had to circle the lot, till a spot opened-up. Keep calm and don't let your emotions get to you. I feel bad for See's Candies, Nick The Greek and Boudin SF, since most of the cars in the lot appear to be for Whole Foods. The See's Store is clean and organized. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. Like other See's, they give a free sample to everyone who walks-in. This is a perk I really enjoy. It gives me a chance to try various chocolates that I might not otherwise try. I have noticed that over time some of the chocolates have shrunk in size. The milk and dark peanuts for example. These pieces have definitely gotten smaller. I prefer milk chocolate over dark chocolate, but I won't say "No" to dark chocolate. My favorites include the milk peanuts, milk bourdeaux, milk peppermints, milk caramel patties and milk double chocolate. I also enjoy molasses chips, almond squares, almond caramel, milk almond, chocolate butterchew and milk mocha. I also enjoy their truffles too. So, essentially most of their candies. read more

For the Valentine's items that are not just boxes wrapped in holiday-themed paper (which is then removed and goes back on the shelf as non-holiday candy), there is 25% off. I picked up a couple boxes because every girl deserves quality candy in a cute box. And also because, earlier in the day, I was at Raley's and saw some animal buying an entire case of discounted Russell Stover assortments, so I needed to shake off the haunting thoughts of inferior chocolate. To be fair, I had a gift certificate so I splurged - no pre-packaged one-pound boxes for me, and I'll know exactly what's inside every piece, unlike during my childhood when I felt routinely disappointed (until I learned to use a knife to cut all the chocolates in half to investigate their fillings). I love See's Candies! Definitely one of my fave OG spots because it's filled with so much nostalgia. The place is always so clean, the employees are usually sweet and helpful. You're able to try any chocolate you'd like, up to three! This include speciality or seasonal flavors too, which are my faves to try. I've been to this location a few times and always receive consistent and excellent service from the staff. Especially, this morning (arrived at 8am, Sunday, 12/23) and both ladies were very welcoming, super friendly and offered the usual sample...today was a pecan pie truffle which sold out The lady who helped me package 2lbs of rocky road (mom loves a good one) was super helpful, efficient and made sure I received what I wanted. I must say she asked questions I hadn't thought of and appreciate her asking: * 1 box of 2lbs or 2 separate 1lb boxes (opted for 1), * cut up or not (opted for cut) * prefer under or okay to go over 2lbs (over) and finally * wrapped with white or red paper or none (opted for the holiday red) After doing some major damage in that store I had to tell the ladies how wonderful they were as extraordinary customer service is a rarity these days...so THANK YOU for making my visit a SWEET one! read more

Apparently, this See's location knows better than the CDC. We arrived to the store for my nieces FIRST chocolate store experience since she hasn't been out during the whole pandemic and she's been pretending to have a chocolate store at home. We figured there usually isn't many people at See's, should be ok. She even took chocolate orders from her grandma and grandpa! We were ready to shop! Initially the guy at the door asked for her age we said 1, he ok'd and we waited. When it was our turn to enter Dora M. at the door stopped us and said she had to have a mask. We said she's 1 the requirement is at age 2. I asked them if they had children's masks they said no. So we tried putting a cloth adult sized mask on her but 2 steps into the shop it was falling and she took it off. As I tried to put it back on, Dora at the Door said "if she can't keep the mask on she can't be in the store." Hell no. Done with the rude bullshit. We are not supporting this business. We left immediately and on the way out she pointed at a sign saying everyone needs a mask. We told her not under the age of 2, she said it doesn't matter what the country says and something about knowing healthcare professionals. WELL, I AM a Registered Nurse and the guy she spoke to is a Doctor. We didn't bring that up, we didn't want to argue or make a scene. We are fully vaccinated by the way, we were double masked (KN95 and a cloth mask over) and we are NOT anti maskers. I attached some quick references since you obviously don't understand physiologically why the age requirement is 2 and up. If this is truly the store policy, I hope all the mothers out there know, don't waste your time coming here. I AM NEVER supporting See's again at ANY location. Been a See's Candies fan for a very long time. It was my first time visiting this store. Looking for a gift during holiday time. Late in the evening, still it was a busy place. They had their Chocolate & Candy Gift boxes kept. You can either pick up those or get the needed one from the chocolate counter. Was looking for a gift box and I could easily find one. Had to wait for a few mins to checkout. the staffs were super friendly. Lady at the counter explained me the price for each box and gift wraps. She had also suggested to try out the butterscotch lollypops and I must say those were really nice too. She also handed over complimentary chocolates as well. Nothing more to add about what See's Candies offers and their flavors. Personally I like the dark chocolates more than milk chocolates. Parking is always tough in this shopping center. Parking here can be a challenge at times (for me it is since I don't like it when there is too many cars around) since its located in the shopping center with Whole Foods and other restaurants. My first time stopping by this location was quick. There wasn't too many people in the store. I got what I needed and was able to pay right away. My second trip, there was quite a few people right when the store opened which was right around 9am. Ended up being in the wrong line to pay but the line moved pretty quick. I grabbed a few boxes of the twinkling ornament box. This box has an assortment of chocolate & butterscotch lollypops, milk chocolate balls, sour apple & sour cherry jelly beans, and chocolate Santas. I love the chocolates and candies. They can be expensive but the quality and the taste are worth it. read more

Decided to take my 1-year-old daughter here for her first trip to a chocolate store. We figured, See's is usually pretty empty. Should be fine. So, we made a whole trip out of it. It was her first trip since the beginning of the pandemic! She was SO excited. My husband was recording her first experience, and my sister was carrying my daughter. We got to the door and stood in line outside. A guy came out asking how old my daughter was. We said 1, he looked at his coworker inside for the ok, and was like, "ok cool." Moments later, the wicked witch of Fremont comes to the door to let us in. As we hyped up my baby, this Dora M. lady wags her finger at my daughter saying she needs to wear a mask. She is frickin 1. No other establishment in their right mind has this requirement. Since we were already there and my daughter was all excited, I figured I'll try to have her use the spare mask I have in my purse, which is of course way too big for a 1-year-old. My baby started crying because it was practically covering her entire little face. So this bruha lets us in, the mask starts falling off my daughter's face, and Dora starts yelling, "If she can't keep the mask on, she needs to get out!" RUDE. First of all, wave your raggedy old yellow fingernail at my daughter again and I'll really give you something to Explore. The dude that first gave the ok stayed silent, and Dora asked the other lady (the one that gave the dude the ok) how old she has to be to wear a mask, and she said "1." Seriously? These spineless employees need to be consistent with their policies. I did glance around the store and their options were pretty limited. We left upset, and my husband went back to talk to Dora to get her name and educate her on CDC guidelines. She was like, "I don't care what the rest of the country's policy is, this is our store's policy! I have friends who are healthcare workers!" Well, lady, the man you're speaking to is a doctor and the other lady with us is a nurse. And is it really a store policy if the other employees are unaware of it? I can't roll my eyes hard enough. Even if it is their "policy" to suffocate toddlers, this situation should've been handled much differently. Dora's attitude was rude from the get-go. I'm giving up on this store. See's is not who they used to be. Go support small businesses instead, who don't fill their candies with excessive sugar and have crazy hags serve them. read more

See's hosted a sneak peek for a small crowd of their new Fremont store, located in the shopping plaza with Whole Foods and Boudin SF. It's a small store lined with their signature boxes of chocolates, peanut brittle, cans of their toffee and almond royal, and assorted lollypops. You can also custom make a box with the chocolates featured in the case. We got to try a sample of their chocolates as well as learn how to put chocolates into a box using a method they call cupping so your hands don't touch the chocolate. We did it Lucy and Ethel style like in the Job Switching episode of "I Love Lucy" where they go to work at the chocolate factory. A couple of facts about See's that I didn't know was 1) they don't preservatives to their chocolate (they don't have a long shelf life for their chocolate); 2) they age their chocolate; 3) it's made in the US and 4) the black and white tiled floor the color of Mary See's kitchen and 5) they give out 1 million lbs of free samples. The Fremont store officially opens tomorrow, Friday, 5/29 at 9:30 am with a ribbon cutting ceremony from the mayor and will be giving out free lollypops. The staff was so friendly and helpful. You can request dark, milk, truffles no truffles for your sample. The gals at this location are extremely nice and always have a positive vibe. As a happy costumer I wanna say THANK YOU people for being so nice and patient to sooo many rude, unruly costumers that ; don't wanna wear a mask during a pandemic, yelling at you for running out of bags, making you cut chocolate fudge over and over like a sushi chef cuz they don't like the size, calling you dumb, being racist, bringing lame excuses and lies to make you feel bad so get you in trouble and so they get more samples... (you can simply just be nice and ask for more), bringing used gift certificates, being a Karen and calling the manager and make up lies to get free chocolates. I live in Alameda which is about 28 miles away from this Sees Candy location, which is roughly 38 minute drive in no traffic. I was craving it so bad and there is about 4 other ones closer to my house but none were open so I decided to try out their online order for pick up process. The online ordering was super easy to follow and I found exactly what I wanted. I ordered and checked out and got a confirmation email super fast. My order was ready super fast and the pick up process was super super easy. I parked right in front and called to pick up and that was it. It was so fast and easy. The 36 minute drive to get there and the 38 minute drive was definitely worth it and I would do it again. read more

Great to see See's candies after 2 months due to lockdown & current situation going on. I ordered online for pick up only. From my experience, you don't have to sign up new account and you just choose which store y9u want to pick up your chocolates. They will notify when your order is ready via email. I placed my order online this morning. And they filled my order after they opened this morning. So give some time like 15 - 30 mins to assemble your order. It's better to place online orders and you can order a customized mix of chocolates of your choice depending how many you want by percentage. They also gave me a can of salty mixed nuts for a bonus, if you ordered 1st time. Today was July 3rd, and saw a number of online orders like 6. I am.sure they will be more. They even give some samples with your order. That's what I miss. Still great candy shop and people are great and amazing. read more
