While I'm a lot closer to the OG Fox Hills Mall location in Culver city, I am willing to travel in search of the gold standard for white chocolate/ cashew brittle from Sees! But guess what? No one seems to be able to get it anymore! In any case, Adrian T-pictured, was the CSA (customer service All Star) of this experience. Adrian went digging for me, and since the available supply of the white chocolate covered cashew brittle is currently so low, they are opening up boxes for their customer base-which is a smart move. Chocolate is pricey. Good chocolate is pricier. Pretentious chocolate is priciest. See's is good chocolate. Shops are everywhere and who doesn't love a pristine, nostalgic chocolate shop where boxes and boxes of candies are stacked with military precision? You can't walk in without a being offered or handed a sample. What's not to love? I'd sign up for this every. Single. Time. Of course we were greeted by a sweet lady right when we walked in. This isn't our usual See's shop, but its proximity to church made it a "must stop in" errand on our way home. We loaded up on peanut brittle, which, if you have not tried, you really must. It's delicious and unsurprisingly, addicting. Two of the big boxes will last less than a month. Yup, I admitted that. I tried Scotchmallows for the first time. I'm now addicted to the dark chocolate ones. A tin of "Littles" will set you back $25 but will satisfy your chocolate and sweet craving. And I'd offer these as gifts because they're the perfect size in a nifty tin. Gotta love that convenience. A couple of 1lb boxes for gifts and we were on our way. Take advantage of the $5 coupons and the Happy Habit rewards for gift cards when you spend more than $40 a month for 3, 5 and 7 months. Easy to do if you find yourself with a nagging craving or friends and associates who love to receive candy gifts. Chocolate is as chocolate does. I was there yesterday. There were many people in line. One young man was working. He was talking forever with each customer and very slow. 2 women employees were chatting and not working in the back. Unacceptable customer service. I walked out after 15 minutes of standing in line. read more

Had such a great experience at See's Candies thanks to Nathalie. I accidentally didn't complete my online order, and she stepped in right away and helped me gather everything in person without any stress. She was incredibly patient, warm, and genuinely friendly the whole time. You can tell she really cares about the customer experience. I stopped in See's candy with my two boys to get a treat after dinner and Debbie helped us out. My youngest was disappointed because they did not have the mint scotchmallow but to our surprise Debbie gave him a sample of another mint candy that he loved and cannot stop talking about. I usually opt for the custom box, however there are several options of mixed chocolate varieties for when you're not quite sure what your recipient likes. My faves? The Milk Pecan Buds and Almond Squares of course. The Pecan Roll and California Brittle are also huge hits with my family. Prices for custom boxes are determined by the weight. My girl friend and I were in the area and decided to stop by for some sweets. From the samples to her suggestions, she made the experience memorable. My mother-in-law wanted to try See's so we went in together to get a box. It was a few days after Christmas and still busy. The line moved pretty quickly. Kiersten M helped us and she was so great: she made sure everyone in line was taken care of and knew where to go (a few people were just buying pre-packaged items), very patiently explained the options to my mother in law, made suggestions, offered us samples, and generally made everything go smoothly for us and for other customers. Thank you again Kiersten and the other staff for being so nice and efficient and generously offering samples. Great location and thankfully see's still makes good quality chocolate (I'm not a fan of truffles but I tried the dark chocolate truffle and liked it enough to add it to the box). read more

We love love love this See's Candies. it is located almost at the end of a little mall, called the Manhattan Village Mall. The entire area outside is spotless. The interior is so clean it all looks brand new. Once you are in they have the very best selection of chocolates, caramels and nuts. They are famous for their caramel lollipops. They are ready for Halloween at the moment, but soon they will have all the holiday items on display. You can buy one piece of candy or a box and those come in one pound, two pound and I think 5 pound boxes. They are great as gifts and the boxes all have white wrapping on them. Their main counter has a huge display of individual chocolates. You can even hand pick a box with your favorite kind and also pick dark chocolate or milk cholate. It is all great. What we really love about this location is the service. All Covid measures are in place so it is a safe place to go. The staff is so patient and kind. My grandson spent 20 minutes to pick out the box that he thought was best for him--they have all creams, mixed, nuts and chews and toffee. You decide. He went with nuts and chews and boy are they good. The staff waited for him and gave him a free candy before he left. How sweet. I have never seen a cleaner store. I think because of just getting out of Covid, it is still a little slow there so go. You can order on line, but go there. Have a great time. read more

One of the happiest See's candies shops I have ever been to! All the employees were super friendly and helpful from the first step in the door to exiting the shop. Not stingy on samples either! : D I got to try dark chocolate lemon truffle, dark choc honey coconut, dark choc marzipan, and a Normandy. The folks who work her are just nice. I've rarely seen a huge line during the holidays and even when there's a bit of a line, it moves. I generally place online pickup orders with a custom box. The few times I've gone to this location, it's been super easy. They're generous with their samples. I've never left this location with anything less than 2 samples. It's almost like thet want you to sample other selections so that you buy more next time. What a concept? Haha. Good business and customer service moves. And the candy is fresh and on point. I came at 10:00 opening time and there were about 20 people lined up ahead of me. I was hoping they were all in line for nearby Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, but they weren't. Minutes after opening, a worker came out and asked if anyone knew exactly what they wanted off the shelves. I was one of a very few people who did so I was able to cut the line and quickly make my purchases of two one pound boxes--assorted and milk chocolate. A one pound box these days is $23.50. What a relief!! I was trying to estimate how long it would take to actually get inside since they limit how many people are inside at a time. I love this See's Candies location! I have not been to See's Candies in forever but had a gift certicate to exchange that my coworker got me. I came to this location and was very impressed. My gift certificate was for a one pound box of See's Candies and I gt my pick from their great selection. Some of my favorite picks were the peanut butter patties, the apple pie truffle and nutty chocolate. The lady working there was super nice and kept giving us samples! I've always had a sweet tooth and a love for See's Candies. When I was in college, my roommates and I would take turns buying boxes from the on-campus See's, leaving it on the kitchen table to share and cutting each candy in half so that one could see what they were getting! I can't resist stopping by for a few pieces whenever I'm in a mall. This location is one of my faves because it's so easy to get in and out of, with free, convenient parking, and being well-staffed and stocked. I don't know what their hiring practices are or how they find and identify a type, but every single See's employee I've encountered in my life has been the kindest, sweetest lady who seems genuinely happy to help. I wish one of them would adopt me as a granddaughter. They're always happy to offer you a sample, and you can ask for a different chocolate instead if you want to try something or aren't feeling the sample. My faves are the peanut butter patties (with those and Trader Joe's PB cups, I haven't touched a nasty Reese's in years), the Scotchmallows, the pineapple truffles, and the dark California brittle. The after-holiday sales are always amazing, and so are their lollypops. See's is a California classic and I like that the candy doesn't travel very far to get to me. Everyone loves See's! I don't usually eat chocolate but someone gave me a certificate for a free pound of See's candy so I went to Manhattan Village to their See's store. [fyi: It is located in one of the islands in the parking lot and not inside the mall] They had a many selections of pre-boxed chocolates as well as chocolates for sale individually. There were two ladies working the counter and they offered us a free sample of their chocolate coconut creme. I picked out a 1lb milk chocolate box for my son and a couple individual chocolates.
