And the plants were reasonably priced. Better than big box nurseries. Rare plants. My friend and I were in Heaven. There's a Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating that's always booked. Reservations are essential, my friend and I thought we could slip in and have lunch, it was a 45 minute wait, only finding that out after we had stood in line for over 20 minutes plus.. The property is like a beautiful garden with a koi pond and wonderful garden art that I wanted so, so badly. Money . There's also an olive oil and vinegar tasting room and a separate gift shop all in this wonderful warehouse setting. My friend bought 2 oils costing $40.00 . But they were exquisite, beautiful and flavorful and unique tasting. Yum. High hand also has a venue for weddings and I believe a brewery. It's mind blowing ! Serious gardeners must visit there. It's about a two hour drive from Reno. I give it 5 stars absolutely..

After my purchase of the 4 flower bar tickets I soon received a phone call from the Flower Farm gift shop, the lady told me that the promotion code was not valid and she was going to refund my purchase and I would have to re purchase without the promotion code. I explained to her that I felt that was not right since it was their mistake, they needed to update their website and not allow promotion codes for the flower bar if that was the case. As a company they should have honored my purchase and fixed their mistake rather than refunding and making me re purchase again without the promo code. The lady on the phone took no accountability and was very snappy with me, it just left me feeling upset when I got off the phone with her. Sad thing is I am still really excited for this event, it is just a bummer that this experience now created bad energy for me going into the experience. I recommend the Flower Farm Gift Shop examine their customer service policies and handle situations like mine better in the future.

While the gift shop is a little small they have a wide array of items that are focused around helping people create a special gift. Many of their items are seasonal so things are always changing. These sound like so much fun and I want to join for an event sometime in the future!

It's really nice to just wander around and observe the beautiful plants and specialty trees. They currently have a sale featuring 50% off roses, which are in full bloom at the moment. In addition patio furniture is also 50% off. The mature trees range from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending upon cultivar, rarity, or variegation of foliage. This is a great place for large landscape specimens. You won't find six packs of annuals, they really specialize in trees, shrubs and perennials. The service was friendly, although I didn't buy anything this time, I was warmly greeted, and offered help to find anything. I'll be back once we finish our hardscaping and are ready for feature plants and large trees.

It's hands down the best antique store I've visited in both the bay and Sacramento areas. It is packed with unique finds and well laid out with named aisles. Almost the entire back wall is filled with a mid century modern vendor. The selection of color glass, kitschy housewares and unique art blew me away. The prices were really reasonable and some vendors had some sales and markdowns. They make it clear which vendors will accept offers. Staff was available though out the floor to assist. That is smart, as this place is the size of a small grocery store. Visiting Antique Trove is an experience for sure. There are restrooms up front, a good size patio outside with additional items for sale and just a ton of treasures to browse through. I spent about an hour there and could have easily spent more had I not been late for lunch and hangry. That's another thing-don't come hungry thinking it's a quick trip-you'll be there a while! Lots of parking and easily found off the freeway, Antitque Trove is a must stop for anyone interested in vintage shopping.

I took a Painting 101 class with Mary, the owner, and she was a terrific teacher. Here's what I loved: FAIR PRICING: I had been looking for a class and saw them offered at $65 to $95, so her fee of $75 was very competitive. The difference was that I could use the class to paint my own item, if I liked, rather than just try techniques on wood boards, as some do. All supplies were included in the 3-hour class. APPROACHABLE STYLE: Answered questions patiently and thoroughly, demonstrated techniques and tricks, and offered advice while STILL asking your personal project preferences on color, wax use, distress level, etc. She was generous with her time and expertise -- which just makes me want to give her more business.
