They had many chocolate items from their new Summer limited edition bars in flavors like Raspberry, Lemon and Blond Caramel, to chocolate Teddy Bears to chocolate popcorn to even slabs of chocolate behind the counter. I felt like I was in an adult version of Willy Wonka! Everything was organized and well stocked which was aesthetically pleasing! Not only do they have someone at the door offering free samples to lure in people, but they will also let you try any kind of chocolate. I was in heaven! We took home an assortment of chocolate pieces plus these marshmallow type chocolates that came in dark, milk, coconut and even strawberry flavor! It is a great place to grab a gift for someone - they had lots of gift box ideas! I will be keeping them in mind if I ever need anything. You can even get little individual packaged chocolates as well - kind of like how Ghirardelli does it, only better! Everyone working at Laderach was super nice and knowledgeable! One of the employees told me that the chocolate is flown in fresh from Switzerland every week and it really shows! Beyond that, the presentation box was elegant (each chocolate nestled inside like a little jewel) and placed in a simple white gift bag with a tasteful satin bow tied jauntily around the handles. But the best part, for me, was a lovely note composed by the owner that was better than anything I could have written myself. I checked to see if there was any label not to put it in the dish washer but there was none so I put it on the top rack of my dish machine. After, I found the wine glass broken into pieces. I had to carefully remove every piece I could find. I messaged the owners right away and told them that they didn't have a label that it wasn't dishwasher safe and asked for a replacement and they said "for the future any glassware you purchase anywhere that has writing wouldn't be dishwasher safe" and said no. I said I wouldn't know that because I have glassware with writing on it that are dishwasher safe. They didn't respond and refused to help. I won't be back here.
