I wrapped up my four-stop tour of the See's locations in my area with a stop at this location yesterday. What a pleasant store. I was greeted and offered a sample when I walked in and asked if I need help. They were out of the bags of California Brittle I was looking for, but had plenty of the other items I love like toffee, dark chocolate almonds, and jelly beans. The young man who rang me up was personable and funny. I really enjoyed my visit there and will probably make the Campbell location my go-to from now on. read more

Gabriel = 5 Stars!!!!! I wrongly assumed that all See's Candies close at 7 PM at 6:20 PM last night to drive up to Morgan Hill sees to their close sign for a huge burden since I had to get a special gift last night. I called this Bascom location, in Campbell. And out of respect for retail employees, I shared with Gabriel who answered the phone that I was willing to pay with a credit card over the phone for the two boxes of candy that I needed since the GPS stated 7:02 arrival. I even added that I could happily have him put the items in a bag and tie them to the door handle on the outside of the closed store door. Gabriel not only said not to worry about it, but I don't need to give him the credit card that he will wait for me past the time of closing, but that he would have the boxes ready and wrapped as well!! I have never experienced that level of service in retail ever in any store of any product. Once I arrived at even decided to get a bigger box than the two that I already purchased in addition and asked for the wrapping paper to take home, not wanting to dare waste one more minute of his time after closing to wrap the third gift. he insisted to wrap it himself. Spent $300 here. Got 1 sample. Had to ask for a 2nd sample. At Valley Fair I bought over $100 worth of candy and the guy tossed in tons of extra samples. Way to upsell Bascom. And the timid girl seemed afraid to ask the old lady for help as a bunch of us just stood there. The old lady was just sitting in the office and couldn't be bothered to help. Only 25 reviews? See's is a classic. Esp during the holidays. I am one of those who only buys See's during the holidays. I don't usually eat much candy so there's really no reason for me to come here besides for gifts. Prices seem reasonable given the circumstances. Lots of locations have closed over the years and sales have not been good by the looks of it, but it would be a shame if See's was no longer a thing. It's hard to find a negative thing to say about this location, everything from the selection to the hospitality of the staff is phenomenal. I am in love with any store that is willing to let me sample what I like before I purchase something and the nurse like outfits of the staff members; make them look so cute, lol. See's Candies have been a huge part of my childhood for as long as I can remember. I haven't stepped foot in the storefront in a couple years, but since this location was really convenient I thought I should drop by! I ended up coming here on the hunt for the Santa Claus candy treats, the holiday mini boxes, or any surprises available. I was gifted a $25 gift card this past year, and wanted to use it to get some things for others - but ended up with a build your own box for myself as well! I've normally stuck with the routine Christmas wrapped boxes, but to my surprise I could even BUILD my own box! Am I late to the party? Have I missed out on getting the perfect box for myself all these years? Being in person helped this process go by smoothly, and since some options were sold out, I was able to replace them with something else yummy! I particularly enjoyed the peanut butter Pattie's which were delightfully rich and sweet! The ladies here were also very helpful and kind! There was a minor crowd (3 separate groups aside from mine) and they were able to tackle it easily. I happen to be at whole foods picking up a few things and saw the See's candy shop across the parking lot. I decided to stop in and pick up some candy for my daughter. The gentleman running the shop was super nice and offered me a sample right away. He patiently answered all my questions about the many different types of chocolate candy. He even gave me a sample of a different item. Service was excellent. Even got a coupon for a future visit. I remember going to See's as a child and enjoyed the nostalgia. read more

My boyfriend and I walked into this location to get a gift and were greeted poorly. After asking the associate (Janet, I believe), to wrap a box for us, she replied with "well it's already gold". As we were checking out, she gave us complimentary chocolates. My boyfriend is deathly allergic to nuts and we asked her if there were any nuts in the ones she gave. She confidently said no. He then ate one of the chocolates without any ingredients on the packaging. I looked at one of the other chocolates with ingredients listed and it said it contained tree nuts & peanuts. He walked back in to confirm the ingredients of the one he ate and she had the audacity to be rude and defensive with him after confidently telling us that none of the chocolates she gave us had nuts. I paid 13 dollars and 30 cents for 12 pieces of fresh chocolate today at this Sees Candies, which is expensive but also strangely worth it considering the candy was made fresh and it tasted great. The employee was friendly and attentive like they always are and my Walnut Squares and Scotchmallows were probably the best ones I've ever had from Sees Candies, I mean, they were fresh off the convection belt practically! This isn't chocolate that is mass-produced and then packaged and sent via trucks to stores all over the nation, this chocolate is made in small batches and then shipped regionally to all the Sees Candies in any given area. When I am buying from Sees Candies I am not only helping an American icon get through the Covid crisis I am helping a great business that is quite possibly one of the last great American candy stores that has survived and weathered all kinds of storms to make it into the 21st century and indeed into calendar year 2021. read more

See's candies are so yummy, and has been an American made product for generations. The best part is the sample they offer! When I travel abroad, chocolates and deserts are not as sweet as America's, so often new generation Americans may find them too sweet than the non/less sweet deserts their accustomed to. See's is handmade with real chocolate. A little known fact..the white paint in the stores is called "See's White" and only made for their stores :) read more

Convenient location of the mega chain of chocolate and candies. When I went in here, I asked to customize my purchase by getting a variety of truffles that I chose myself. Buying from the box is fine and dandy but you don't control what you buy! So I said to myself, "it's time for me to take control" and when I give a box to the (hopefully) grateful person who receives it, that the entire selection was personally "curated" by me. If that is the route you want to go, then go straight to the counter and tell them you want to do your own box of candies and the ballpark number of how many you want to purchase. Thanks to the staff here who was patient with me as I was being wishy/washy on which ones to get. I recommend having a somewhat good idea of what you want before going to the counter. PRO TIP: if you have a Costco membership, buy the See's gift cards there for cheap. read more

Everytime I go here the women (and on occasion an elderly gentlemen) are so friendly.. yes I will have a sample yes please offer me suggestions yes I will take one of everything.. wait what? another sample?? OKAY.. if you twist my arm :P Summertime treats are pretty tasty.. the offer a berry truffle and a white chocolate with walnuts, milk chocolate and something else inside it.. Somebody stop me... The only thing that has saved me from this place is their weird hours. Turns out they are closed or have very limited hours on Saturdays and Sundays, and they are closed after work hours (6pm) M-F. Yes, that's right... I've visited this place at least 4 times when they were closed! The staff at this one are particularly friendly- when the woman presented myself (and the other 5 customers standing around) with dark chocolate-covered nuts, she immediately inquired if we would like something different for a sample. Stopped in here on a Saturday morning to buy candy for my mother-in -law. The shop was totally empty, so we had no problem taking our time to make our selections. The woman working there was helpful and nice, and even gave us each a sample. I like their chocolate, (although in fairness, I've only tasted a few different flavors.) I'm not that into chocolates, but my MIL is, and she loves See's! The store was immaculately clean, as a a chocolate shop should be. Their prices seem fair for the quality of the product. Chocolate. Isn't that enough to give any place 4 or 5 stars?!?! It is in my book. My favorite candy at See's is, hands down, the scotch kisses. A butterscotch candy with a marshmallow center wrapped in wax paper. Eaten slightly chilled, this is heaven on earth! Some of my other favorites are the almond truffle, scotchmallow, almond square, and this one toffee covered in white chocolate which I can't remember the name. This particular store's hours are very weird, so be careful when you have that chocolate craving. You might just have to go to Godiva instead. But, then again, that's not a bad thing. What can I say? My love affair with See's began 10 years ago when I first visited California and first discovered the black and white stores. Unlike the chocolate stores run by the Campbell Soup company (just because you give it a fancy name like "Godiva" doesn't change the fact that they are the people who invented "condensed soup"), See's emphasizes flavor and quality of their chocolates rather than appearance. Aside from a few specialty holiday items, you won't see lots of fancy molded chocolates at See's, but you will find great quality, flavor and variety. Variety? Yes, they have something to please just about everyone (except diabetics): Chocolates (dark and milk), non-chocolates, nut chews, bon bons, lollipops, candy bars, etc. Tasty? Hell yeah! They use good quality chocolate, ingredients whose names you can pronounce, and plenty of fat and sugar. Some of my favorites are the dark chocolate chip truffle, raspberry truffle, pecan buds (pecans, caramel and chocolate), and cashew brittle (dipped in white chocolate). But they have over 70 others to choose from--and always give you a free sample when you walk in the door. read more

Excellent See's shop. My only complaint would be the parking, but I know it's not the shop's fault, it's the popularity of the center and whoever designed that section of the parking lot was nuts. The store is always clean, and thankfully this time when I went in there was only one other person in the store. It's a small store, so less people is better for shopping. Both employees there were just wonderful. My kids and I were given some samples. They had some of the boxes wrapped up for Easter gift-giving, but my occasion was not that so I asked if they had any plain ribbons. For an extra $1.50, my box of peanut brittle was wrapped in paper with tiny black and white checkers and adorned with a gold bow. She wrapped fast, too! For the minute or so it took her to wrap it, the other employee inquired as to the occasion for the gift and after we said it was for a boy who had earned Eagle Scout, he told us about when he was a Scout. Then we were all given a lollipop! Yep, we'll be back. So many people enjoy See's candies as a gift, and this is a good, friendly place to get some. read more
