IMHO Kollar Chocolates is one of three businesses left in the V Marketplace in Yountville. My friends who are frequent visitors to Napa always stop here to buy their chocolates (after they've made their first stop to Bouchon Bakery across the street!) They are chocolate aficionados and never leave without a box of Kollar bon bons. Yesterday I had my first taste of a Kollar bon bon, when I was offered a sample of their 72% dark chocolate bon bon. Oh my goodness gracious!!! It was simply delectable as it gooily melted in my mouth. It was perfection! The chocolates are expensive, but I will admit, they are worth the price. No, I didn't buy any, but my friends certainly made up for my lack of purchase. Will I return? Of course!

Terri seems to love her job and it shows! She's very proud of all the chocolates and boy are they delicious! She gave me a sample of a passionfruit truffle and that was my breakfast this morning! It's such a beautiful chocolate and they make everything from scratch. I've never been to Dubai but I love the chocolate!

Living up to their reputation, Kollar Chocolates is truly worthy of a visit. Located in the heart of Yountville, this chocolatier is quaint and gourmet wrapped into one. We were warmly welcomed and offered a sample of some of their award winning product. Gift boxes are available as are bags of chocolate covered treats. Watching the crafts persons do their thing is simply mesmerizing while you inhale the amazing smells of this wonderful little shop. You simply must stop here!

Was very excited to try this chocolate shop while in town on vacation. The woman working behind the counter let us taste the coconut and earl grey flavors while we were making our decisions. We ended up purchasing a box of 9 bonbons and my husband also got a scoop of stracciatella ice cream. My favorite flavor was the special 82% dark heart following by the 72% dark and the red wine. Didn't love the raspberry flavor but I attribute that to the fact that I don't really care for milk chocolate. Would certainly come back!

These chocolates are so exquisite and so good!! We got a box of 9 piece for $27. I know it sounds expensive but they are really expertly crafted. The chocolate has a super thin shell with different flavor ganaches on the inside. They are sweet but not too sweet. A few that I really really love and will come back for are: 72% dark chocolate, coffee kahlua, whiskey and red wine. We walked in randomly to this historic looking building not event knowing there is a chocolate shop in there. The shop is big and very clean, half the shop is retail and the other half is the chocolate making area I believe. The displays are so beautiful. And service is fantastic. Staff give great recommendations! Definitely wanna come back for my favs and try more~

Had a hard time finding this place. They are located inside a brick building in the V marketplace. We were given a sample and it was pretty good. The chocolates are mostly dark chocolate which we are not fan though however we bought four pieces and it was pretty pricey. Nice little store and friendly service.

If you are ever in the Yountville area - make sure to stop by and get some of their yummies! The truffles are mouth watering. The s'mores are made of dark chocolate. Service was phenomenal- free samples will win me over! Space is open and pleasing to the eye. A little pricey but so worth it!

One of my favorite chocolatiers in Northern California! Each bon-bon is a work of art, from the colors and textures to the sculpted form and most important of all, a unique, delightfully balanced tasting experience. Love them so much! Perfect for gift-giving. Highly recommend.

Located in the Ferry building, the chocolates here can only be found here or Yountville (I was told this by a store associate). Since, I did not make it to Yountville on my trip, stopping by I was able to purchase these delicious chocolates. The Bon Bon chocolates were decorated to look like a "galaxy" of chocolate and each chocolate was a different flavor, such as orange grand marnier and pistachio amaretto. Very light in flavor, not too sweet, and these are chocolates to be savored to really enjoy the flavors! You can also order online if you are not visiting California any time soon. There were other items in the Ferry building store to purchase such as hot cocoa mix, larger boxes of chocolate, bark candy, etc. If you are in the area, stop by and grab something yummy to take home!

Kollar chocolates are beautiful, delicious, and make for a great gift, but I personally think they're a little pricey to buy for yourself. However, we come here for the chocolate flops! At $8 for a bag of 4 flops they're $2 a chocolate which is still pricey, but they're a great way to try a variety of flavors of these high quality chocolates at a slight discount. The chocolate flops are still very nice - there's nothing wrong with the flavor and they're not cracked, they usually just have a slight flaw in the paint job. If they're available they're in a small box near the register, but sometimes they don't have any.

Kollar Instinct The award-winning brainchild of Chocolatier, Chef--and Chopped Champion™ (S42:E1 "Sweet and Salty Success") Chris Kollar, Kollar Chocolates puts the high in high-end as their chocolatey confections are out-of-this-world fantastic. Located in the V Marketplace, they might be the best reason to visit this area--which is saying something with Bouchon Bakery just across the way. The Good: *Each piece is a work of art and almost too beautiful to eat. Almost... *Maybe the smoothest chocolates I've ever had, and their flavors are so strong, just like a punch in the tastebuds. The Meh: *Shop is a touch small and not much room for milling about *They sell ice creams but not in the winter? I know I'm weird, but that's literally my favorite time to eat ice creams. :( The Ugly: *Pricing is outrageous but I'll gladly pay it for these as they're definitely #worthit TLDR: Pricey but fantastic! Must-stop if you're in the area and a fan of chocolate (i.e., not a commie).

This isn't your average chocolate shop. Kollar is a place where chocolate is art, both for the eyes and the tastebuds. My sister-in-law hand picked a custom box of chocolates for her kids. I just got a single chocolate for myself. I chose the caramel peanut butter option, which looked like a robin's egg ($7). The shell is a very thin layer of hardened sugar, basically the thickness of a chicken's egg. The caramel was thick and luxurious. The peanut butter was light and creamy. The bottom was a layer of milk chocolate. Super good!

You may go to Napa Valley for the wines, but have you gone there for their chocolates? Nestled in the heart of Wine Country, Kollar Chocolates is what I'd call one of Napa Valley's hidden gems. And "gem" also describes these chocolates. Every truffle on display is a work of art--almost too beautiful to eat. With flavors ranging from matcha yuzu to fennel pollen, these chocolates are a treat for the eyes and the soul. I got the sixteen-piece assortment (enough to share with friends!). The chocolates gleamed in the light and melted smoothly in my mouth. The flavors were nicely balanced with the chocolate itself. If you could take any flavor and reimagine it as a chocolate, you'd have a Kollar chocolate. Suffice it to say, I was delighted! If you're looking for fine chocolates in the Bay Area to try yourself or gift to friends, Kollar Chocolates is one place I'd recommend!

Chef Thomas Keller is known for precision, discipline, and an almost obsessive attention to detail. His style is refined, technical, and rooted in classic French technique, elevated with modern creativity. Every course reflects that philosophy, clean flavors, flawless execution, and zero shortcuts. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars, the highest distinction, and has been considered one of the best restaurants in the world for many years. We secured a reservation for four at 7:00 PM, which in itself feels like an achievement. There are not many tables for two, so getting a reservation for a pair is extremely difficult. The best approach is to try for a reservation of four or more for the main dining room. Larger groups may find private dining easier to book. The evening runs long, over four hours. It is not rushed at all. By around the sixth course, I was already full, but the progression keeps you engaged. Each dish is small but rich, layered, and intentional. They add additional complimentary courses to the experience! The experience starts in the waiting area inside the restaurant with a welcome toast. Once seated, you are given personalized menus, which adds a thoughtful touch. At the end, they send you home with custom cookies and a chocolate bar, small details that reinforce the experience. For my birthday, they went further, surprising me with a bottle of sparkling wine engraved with my name. That level of personalization felt genuine. Logistics were straightforward. Parking was easy, we parked across the street. The dinner was prepaid through Tock, which simplifies the process. There are also optional add ons to the tasting menu, like truffle mac and cheese and wagyu beef. Tip is already included and you can add additional tip if you desire! They are also flexible with dietary needs, one person in our group was vegetarian, and the kitchen accommodated seamlessly without compromising quality. Overall, it is one of the best dining experiences of my life and I will definitely go back again. I would choose an earlier reservation next time so dinner does not run so late into the night. Everything is exceptional from start to finish. Cool fact: Governor Gavin Newsom was caught eating here during the COVID lockdowns! You will see many celebrities dining according to our hostess, which is no big deal for someone from Southern California!

We ordered a couple drinks from the bar which were brought over to our table, our waiter went over the menu and how the pre fixe meal would proceed. For our starter, we had the Garden snap peas salad. The idea of fresh ingredients of carrots, frisee, arugula, and the Hobbs bacon was going to create a bounty of flavors, but fell short as our salad was doused heavily with dressing. The dressing completely overpowered the vegetables, did not compliment them as anticipated, leaving a very sour/bitter taste after every bite. Even the table next to us felt the dressing was overpowering. For our next course, we ordered the French onion dip and kettle chips appetizer, this was a solid pick! This appetizer was more than enough for two people, actually way too much for both of us, but enjoyed the dip very much. This is where the service began to slow down. We were almost done with our appetizer platter, needing some water refills and a fresh beverage, and felt like a very long time from when we received our appetizer until our waiter came back to us. For context, it had been almost an hour since we initially sat down, ate our salad and appetizer. I know this may be a slow paced meal, but felt overly long before we even got to our main course. For the main course, we had the pork chops. Well portioned for both of us, very tender, but lacked that nice grilled char we personally like. I assume the pork chops were sous vide and then finished lightly on the grill top to give the char and grill marks. Overall good, but not the wow we were anticipating for tonight's meal. Next up was the apple, crisp, dessert, which was OK and underwhelmed. We skipped the cheese and pretzel plate and asked them to put it in a to go box as we were already approaching two hours into our meal. Our experience may not be typical, but for a very expensive Friday night dinner, we felt it could've been spent elsewhere and would have had a better value overall.

What I got for $14 was two slices of very dry bread, a stack of thin turkey slices, two curled pieces of mild cheddar cheese (on a turkey sandwich?), a single limp leaf of lettuce and a packet of yellow mustard (Heinz) and mayo. No tomato, no seasoning, no balance of flavors. Just dry bread, turkey, and cheese that doesn't even belong on this type of sandwich. The wrap didn't list ingredients and the deli counter was closed, so there was no way to ask questions or customize anything. I ended up stuck with a premade option that felt like something from a hospital cafeteria rather than a market in the Napa Valley. The bread could have saved it, but even that was just a bland sweet roll with no texture or character. For $13+ they could at least use a decent bread from one of the many local bakeries. As a local, it's disappointing because visitors assume places in Yountville will reflect the food reputation of the area. Unfortunately this didn't come close. I've seen similar feedback in other reviews for the deli, and after this experience I understand why. The sad part is those reviews date back for years and they have obviously fallen on deaf ears. Vote with your dollars folks. If you're heading up valley and want a good sandwich, you're honestly better off stopping at Genova in Napa on the way or continuing just a few minutes up the road to Oakville Grocery. If you only need a quick bottle of wine this is a place for you. I rarely say this, but this was a "never again" for me.
