    Sugar free chocolate bar
    Ivy J.

Sees candies is some of the yummiest candies, with a wide variety of such chocolates. I visited today to get a sugar free candy and lollipops for my children. Not only was a greeted with the best service I've ever had at Sees, but some tasty samples . Esteban and Keysha, were amazing !

Came in for the caramel apple scotch mallows. Unfortunately they were sold out. The staff however was kind enough and gave me a sample to try . I ended up purchasing both the regular and coffee scotch mallows . Over the years I've purchased 1-2 lb nits & chews as gifts for family . They love it ! See's is easy to find with lots of parking . Staff is friendly ,helpful and knowledgeable Will definitely return to this location .

See's Candies have been making premium quality chocolates and confectionery candies for many years and founded in Los Angeles in 1921. My wife and I enjoy the sweets and chocolates from See's Candies, we often look for a store are open but some of them are closed but they open when the holidays are coming up. This is my first time at See's in South Pasadena stepping can smell the aroma of the chocolate and see the Halloween edition Candies and chocolate and also they the Dia Los Muertos sweetie and skull head lollipops. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about chocolate and sweets.

Gotta love the free samples! Came in to purchase some lollipops (a big hit with children even since my own childhood) and everyone in my family was kindly offered a sample. There are some newer flavors of lollipops now like root beer. Maybe it's a seasonal flavor since I didn't find it on the website but found it in store. Always enjoy shopping at See's and tasting the quality in various chocolates and candies.

See's Candies Medical Staff "thank you" sticker.
    Nancy D.

I have been a customer of this particular See's location for the past five years, and have always been impressed with the kindness and caring of the staff. But today I was especially touched by the kindness shown by one of the candy clerks, Aaron A. I was purchasing 8 half pound boxes of candy as a gift of gratitude for the medical staff that I had recently been under their care. When I mentioned this to Aaron, he offered the gold ribbons to put on the boxes and these terrific special "medical thank you stickers"! Aaron A. was just so kind and when I told him that bridge mix was my favorite he gave me a little bag of bridge mix. Just those little acts of kindness show what a great location and great employees especially Aaron A. See's Candies has... Besides the best candy in the world! If there was a sticker for "Thank you to See's Candies"... I definitely would be using it for this location and the employees!

The Chocolate Croissant is a masterpiece. The chocolate filling is perfectly sweet -- rich but not cloying -- and the crust is the flakiest, most buttery, most satisfying crunch I have ever experienced in a croissant. Layers upon layers of golden perfection. This alone is reason enough to make the trip. The Almond Croissant was equally stunning -- delicate, subtly sweet, topped with sliced almonds and a dusting of powdered sugar that made it look almost too pretty to eat. Almost. The Kouign Amann was buttery and delicate with that signature caramelized crunch that makes this pastry so addictive. Every single item was executed at a level that rivals anything you'd find at a high-end Parisian bakery. Wash it all down with their cappuccino -- bold, strong, and the perfect pairing for the richness of the pastries. Not for the faint of heart but exactly what a proper cappuccino should be. The atmosphere matches the quality of the food -- chill and relaxed with seating both inside and out, the kind of place you want to linger and take your time. The staff are warm and genuinely happy to be there, which makes the whole experience even better. Yes, pastries run $6-$8 each, but when the quality is this exceptional you won't think twice. This is one of the best bakeries in the San Gabriel Valley, full stop. Go early before they sell out.

By the time I was done ordering and had everything there was probably 20 people in line. So getting there a little early makes sense. I ordered 4 chocolate croissants, 3 Monkey Breads, 2 Kouign Amanns, and a partridge....sorry. Wrong song. 1 chocolate bar and a cappuccino. So far I've had a Kouign Amann and the cappuccino. The cappuccino may be the best I've ever had. I don't know what kind of coffee they use, but it was very smooth. That alone is worth the trip. AND, my barista did a cute milk art on top. The Kouign Amann was AMAZING. Layered and flaky I confess I ate the whole thing! I can't wait until I can try the other 2 things I've purchased. After all, the chocolate croissant was the primary reason for going. Now for the negatives: Management should figure out a way for more than one person to take orders and box them up. Even Mom & Pop donut shops often have multiple people taking orders. And Porto's has it down to a science. It would go a long way toward clearing the line faster. My second issue was the price. Quality is expensive. I get it. And I'm fortunate enough to be able to splurge for a treat like this. But with a small tip added to my total I spent just shy of $100! Not something I can do every week. But I would encourage you to save your nickels and check them out!

I'm usually not that harsh and the the employee said this was her favorite but it tasted like DIRT. I added lychee jelly so it was bearable and I was able to not waste my money but my friends who ordered it also could not finish and had to throw it away. Hojicha has a roasty nutty flavor and is hard to do right because it can taste burnt or doesn't have that nutty flavor and be bland. I admit that I am be picky about my hojicha but this place literally tasted like dirt charcoal. The color was also black and not the warm brown color it usually is. They give you so much that it's bursting out. I think they use half an avocado on top and ask if you want onions and tomato in the omelette. I agreed to it. I coupled it with a flat white English breakfast tea with honey. So perfect for an after-run meal in the morning, to power your whole day and start it right. There's 4 hour street parking but it's located where you can park in the lot for 3 hours free anyway. They serve churros con chocolate, too, as well as your humdrum pastries. I ordered the Sesame Halva which is their vegan ice cream made of Halva ice cream with sesame & coconut. OMG, I've never tasted anything like this before. I love anything that has a sesame profile. If you like that nutty, sweet, and earthy flavor this one is for you. I could taste the coconut, but it wasn't overpowering. There were also little chunks of halva in there that added a slight bit of sweetness. The texture was similar to cookie dough, but softer. Aside from the taste, I loved the simple presentation of the small rose on top of the scoop. It made it look elegant. As you can tell, I am definitely coming back and highly recommend stopping by.
