This is champion people watching, folks. This is not for the faint of heart. This is for the professional who's used to sitting back, peering down over the top of his sunglasses and having a comment about every.single.person who walks by. So, you know I'm a fan! There's zero room inside... but who wants to sit inside? This location is all about perching on the right plush red or animal-print sofa, ordering drinks and talking about people. And, there's lots to talk about. This location is always packed. Packed. I don't know what it is. Maybe there's a subliminal message in the booming bass from the speakers but I'm never experienced anything less than fire-hazard-full. The crowd is pretty decisively international but that adds to the fun. That means lots of languages, wildly varying styles, hot messes from almost every continent, and tragedy (which = comedy) around every corner. Of course, it's near impossible to appreciate all of this without a cocktail in hand. Luckily, Segafredo has, about, a billion of them. I committed myself to trying them all but my ankle monito... bracelet had other ideas. Before passing out, I recall enjoying the sugary sweetness of the Caipiwi and the knockout punch of the Planter's Punch. $10 cocktails on Lincoln might seem unheard of, but here they are... in living color! Because I haven't figured out how to live on booze and bile alone (yet), I set in on the food menu. After all, talking about people works up an appetite. The caprese flatbread was light, refreshing and surprisingly filling for being cheese, tomato and basil. Spend some quality time with the tuna tartare and hummus, also. I don't know that anyone would come to Segafredo for a gastronomic revelation (and, if that's your purpose for coming here, question yourself) but it does what it does well: quality light bites, strong drinks for every taste, music so loud you can barely hear your friends, and some of the best people watching in all of South Beach. A friend and I recently went to this restaurant on 3/11/18 . It took about 15 to 20 min to get someone to even notice that we had sat at a table, as were passed by frequently, with no interaction. Then finally, a person, who seemed to be management, asked if we knew what we wanted even though, we didn't have menus. He handed us menus and said someone would be with us soon. After another 10 minutes, still no service. I guess it was too "dark" of a night to notice we were there, if you get my drift! Wonderful DJ, but that's all I can say that's good about the place. A couchy, slouchy café is what it might look like as pedestrians walk on through to the other block however, it's really more of an outdoors lounge. In fact, if you ever needed convincing step toward the a/c and you'll hear the louder than loud music jumping through the speakers. No matter what time of day Sega's has a crowd of people enjoying cocktails and sampling Italian bites. More than anything when I was there this week what struck me was the accessibility of Segafredo. You don't have to call and make reservations or spend a fortune to sit on Lincoln Road and people watch. You can simply grab a seat on a red couch and take in the views. read more

::Sigh:: Segafredo, we have to talk. It's not me. It's you. The drinks here (granted, as with most South Beach pick-up spots) are overrated and overpriced. The food is underwhelming. And the crowd is often a blend of prowling women and handsy men. But none of those are my biggest problem. The service is. During my last two visits the service has been deplorable. The location was understaffed and chaotic. Last weekend my party of four waited almost thirty minutes for a bottle of Pinot Grigio. The glasses arrived with matching pools of dishwater and we had to wait another while for the waiter, who was clearly having a bad day, to open the bottle --During which, he managed to spritz one of our guests. All in all, if you're looking for a Lincoln Road perch to pick up the scantily clad or the ostentatious, this may be your spot. But if you're looking for a decent wine list and/or less than infuriating service, I'd keep walking. read more

This is a place where you can sit all day and drink cocktails (and I mean 10 hours worth) or even pop bottles of champagne and wine. The place is not fancy, but they have great little appys and a good selection of cocktails. But here's the real deal. If you have a weak bladder, they have 1 bathroom, which is either always occupied, broken, or you have to wait in a long line. I usually end up at Balans, next door for restroom purposes. For some reason, all of the servers are Eastern European, so you get a great geography lesson in the mix too. Now, they give you free food. They start you off with peanuts, then you're put on chips, and when you've spent enough money on drinks they give you small pizzas. Depending on your level of intoxication, they try to just keep you on the peanuts. But tell them you know better. read more

Segafredo is a great place for groups of friends to meet for drinks and a reasonably priced light dinner on Limcoln Road. Several of my friends ordered the tuna on arrival and I had the Chicken Milanese sandwich. The sandwiches are large and could be shared and the arrive a few minutes after ordering. The best seats are the couches and chairs which provide VIP like seating for people watching on the Road. The drink prices also less than I would have expected. When you arrive, tell the host how many you ecpect in your party and they will take care of you. The closest parking lots are on Michigan Ave and at the Theaters. read more

They did not taste like rum, the tasted more like gasoline and did not make me drunk, just plain SICK. I had one drink and a half and was comatose for four hours and not so great the next day. Segafredo is that one staple on lincoln road that you can always come to if you feel like sitting, people watching, and having some drinks with some snackles. The vibe can be pretty hectic or just right. A glass of prosecco with a carpaccio arugula salad is always in order. Last night we had the passion fruit margaritas that were actually really nice and an order of the tuna tartar that was mediocre at best. The prosciutto brushetta was quite nice. This place is a total hit or miss. The service was not the best but they actually do not auto tip 18 percent which is nice. Overall, we made the best of our time there and people watching. If the weather is cool, it's nice to sit outside because otherwise their inside area is tiny. read more

We visited on saturday night and it was packed...we put our name down with the hostess and sat by the bar while we waited...service was a hit or miss since the hostess seemed lost and confused and so were the waiters. Now after we were seated, the experience got a Lil better...we ordered the tuna tartare appetizer and the bruschetta..both were really good choices and big enough to share. Our waiter this time was very nice and friendly which made up for it and people watching on Lincoln rd is always fun. Just a suggestion...even though this place caters more to tourists, don't forget us locals also visit and we hold greater standards...don't slack segafredo. read more

Best spot to people watch! Whatever time you come, you can still enjoy the amazing Miami weather, outdoor tables and sofas, lounge music, and eating or drinking from the extensive menu while watching the amazing Herzog de Meuron building in front of you. I don't know who's writing the reviews for this establishment - but it's either people who haven't visited recently or the owners. My experience there today (Dec 28) was *terrible*. First off the waitress looked at me like I'd just traversed several alternate universes when I asked for my Latte with non fat milk (which the don't have. Again, a coffee shop that doesn't have non-fat milk. Rather like an ice cream store not having cones....). The bathroom was occupied by (it transpired) two young women who looked like they'd been doing blow -- and taking ages over it. The final straw was trying to get the check from the waitress. She was clearly ore interested in chatting with her friends than serving up a bill - even though we asked her three times. I finally dropped enough money on my table to cover the check and we left. I know that Lincoln road gets a lot of tourists and they they are not likely to return - but that's no excuse for crappy, disinterested service (with the customary "you must be stupid so we're going to tack 15% onto the bill as as tip"). hey - I live here - treat me like a tourist and I won't come back, and I'll tell my friends to do likewise. read more

By far the best lounge/caffe'/bar in Miami Beach. I have personally come here religiously since it open. Segafredo "the original" was the first establishment on Lincoln road and maybe Miami Beach to bring the "inside" to the "outside". Eclectic second hand furnitures create a great ambiance and show good eye and environmental sustainability. Great combination. Resident DJs alternate during the weekend with great house music. Best moment of the year is possibly during the winter music conference. People gather outside and dance the night away. Food and drinks are good. Not pretentious, but simple and good. A wide array of cocktails to satisfy everybody. All and all, great experience and great time. read more

The worst customer service I have ever with a pretty good mojito. We finally got hold of our waiter who mind you came by our table maybe 2 times in the hour and half we were there. The service was BEYOND horrible and this is after habituation to the already notoriously horrible south beach service, people! They have a really limited food menu so we ordered bruschetta and I had a salad with chicken. The chicken tasted like rubber and all & all will not be back here again unless it's strictly for drinks. I am sooooo sick of going to Segafredo but I really have no choice because all my friends love this place. I happen to like variety in life and they are going there up to 3 times a week. Sick. I can't really complain about service since I know most of the people that work there and therefore great service. But if I weren't friends with them than it would be a different story. Where else can you go and drink for hours and have the convenience of people popping in and out? Drinks are strong and cheap according to beach standards.
