    Fish camp vibes!
    Richard C.

A NOLA local buddy of mine told me about this spot on the West Bank and I'm glad he did. It was like an old school fish camp. The food was great. I'd never had white beans and rice before. It had andouille sausage and gulf shrimp. I was comfortable when I finished, but not stuffed.

Crawfish Pie! Who would have thunk it?? Positioned at the end of what looks like a great seafood market! Shrimp Po Boy and Crawfish Pie both kicked it out of the park! Fast and friendly service in a casual atmosphere made for a very memorable lunch!

Love this place. Service is awesome. Thank You Ms Amy and Ms Bridgette. My friends and I went two days in a row. We needed up here by chance but n the first day and then day two drove 30min just to eat here. No one complained. Even my friend who is super health conscious loved the fried catfish. Not greasy and seasoned well. Also, make room for dessert. The bread pudding was awesome and I don't even like bread pudding.

Food is delicious. Can't go wrong here, service was also great. Sat on the patio watching the airboat tours coming and going.

If you are visiting Louisiana, make this a spot to visit and dine. Great place to eat after you've done a boat tour. My best friend and I were immediate greeted when we walked through the door and sat by Amy the manager. She introduced herself and went over the menu. We started out with the Crab Dip, omggg it was super delicious. I ordered the Sausage Gumbo but Amy had a little surprise for me and brought out a side of potato salad to go with it. It was perfection. My friend had Crab Cakes, it was amazing. At the end, sweet Amy served us some delicious Bread Pudding and a slice of "King Cake". Amy was incredible and the food was made to perfection.

The shrimp remolaude sauce is delicious with huge spicy boiled shrimp. We shared the seafood platter and it was so crispy. This is one of our favorite places that's off the beaten path. Highly recommend!! Service is always wonderful and nice.

Charming "Old Louisiana" style restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their meal and especially loved the Bread Pudding we shared for dessert. Yum!

Our waiter, Jonathan, made the experience unforgettable. He took the time to sit down with us, walk us through the menu, and share his recommendations--and every single one was spot on. We ordered the blackened redfish, catfish, gumbo, savory cheesecake, bread pudding, and vanilla bean crème brûlée. Every dish was outstanding! And we can't forget the cornbread--the aroma of warm butter hits you the moment it's placed on your table. It was the perfect way to start the meal. What really stood out was the staff. Every waiter worked together as a team, helping one another and creating such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they do, and it made the entire dining experience even more special. From the incredible food to the exceptional service and inviting ambiance, everything was top-notch. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to dine here--you won't regret it! A special thank you to Jonathan from the family from Texas for making our visit so memorable. We'll definitely be back!

If you're looking for a dressy date night, this is not the place for you. But if you just want a hearty delicious meal in a fun atmosphere with friendly, attentive service- this is the place!!! We ordered: * Watermelon mojito - very refreshing * Hurricane - boozy * Ribeye special * Short rib special * Eggplant pirogue * Barbecue shrimp - which Daniel, our server who clearly loved his job and joyfully took care of all his customers, graciously peeled for me All our meals included the complimentary corn bread, a spinach salad, and 2 side dishes (we had the corn, mashed potatoes, and shoestring fries). The meal was already so filling, but our wonderful Daniel brought us a toasted coconut caramel bread pudding with 4 spoons! This place is packed every day after 7pm, but if you come early...you should be able to score a table. Reservations can be made for larger parties. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip!

Our server, Christopher, was very attentive, suggested wine pairings, and gave us great recommendations. We started with the charbroiled oysters which is a must. I normally don't make posts like this, but this experience was too disturbing not to share…read more   On Saturday, August 22nd, I purchased gumbo from Cajun's Seafood located at 1479 N. Claiborne Ave. in New Orleans. I had already EATEN part of my gumbo before discovering what appeared to be aGerman cockroach in my food.   But honestly, what happened when I went back to the restaurant IN PERSON disturbed me almost as much as finding the roach. I walked back in with the gumbo and attempted to physically show the woman (not sure if she was the same woman I spoke to on the phone) who appeared to possibly be an owner or manager exactly what was in my food. Before I could even really show it to her, her response was, "I don't need to see it. I believe you."   That reaction completely threw me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no shock. No apology. No urgency. No "let me see what you're talking about." She didn't even seem interested in looking at the food I had brought back. Here I am standing there with a ROACH in food that I HAD ALREADY BEEN EATING, and the response felt so casual that it honestly left me with even MORE questions.   I'm not saying her response proves that the restaurant has an infestation or that she knew about a pest problem beforehand. But I can absolutely say that her immediate willingness to believe me without even wanting to see what I found, combined with what felt like a complete lack of surprise or concern, raised a HUGE red flag for me. It made me seriously question whether something like this had happened before!   And then I learned more about the type of roach I appeared to have found. German cockroaches are especially concerning because they live and reproduce indoors, multiply rapidly, and commonly establish themselves around kitchens and other areas where food, moisture, and warmth are available. Finding what appeared to be one inside my prepared gumbo naturally made me concerned about the possibility of a larger pest issue. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE CAJUN'S SEAFOOD AGAIN.   To be clear: I cannot personally confirm that this restaurant has an infestation. That is something for the appropriate health authorities and a professional inspection to determine, which I have contacted!
