Looking for authentic Dominican food? Well you found the right place, as soon as you enter you're greeted by the friendly staff. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is super clean. I ordered a traditional Tres Golpes breakfast made to perfection!! I can't wait to try everything else they have to offer. If you live in the area or are visiting you much come and check this amazing restaurant out. Thank you to the entire staff for welcoming us with a smile.

Pretty nice Dominican counter. This reminds me of a newer, cleaner Margon. Plenty of food for $10. I got pernil, beans, rice, and plantains. The nicest folks working here. A few tables for seating.

They do it all from Venezuelan tequeños to Dominican empanadas to Cuban sandwiches. Limited food menu though, but what they make is really good. Also, the eponymous seguidilla is great on everything. Palitos de Queso w/ Pink Seguidilla: I know these as tequeños, a favorite snack of mine found at Venezuelan bakeries in Miami. So I was stoked to find them at an empanada joint in Hell's Kitchen. Fluffy dough stick with that squeaky queso on the inside. Excellent when dipped in a salsa, like the tangy pink one they offered. Should have ordered more because they're just awesome. Cheese Bolas De Yuca: Kinda tastes like a fried potato croquette, but with yuca instead. Usually have beef inside, but since i saw cheese as an option, had to get this. Loved the gooey cheese against the starchy yuca; kinda reminded me of a baked potato. Carne Molida Flour Empanada: A classic empanada with nicely spiced ground beef against a golden dough. So meaty and so hearty. Dominican Cheese Cassava Empanada: This looked really flat when I got it, I thought it was deflated or something. But cheese melts. And thankfully there was a lot of cheese inside, even if clumped towards one end. Really liked that orange colored Dominican cheese. Hard to describe the taste, somewhere between a mild cheddar and monterey jack. Cubano Sandwich: I can never turn down a Cuban sandwich, so had try theirs. A very generous amount of pernil, much more so than regular Cubanos. Unfortunately they seemed a little light on the mustard, mayo and pickles so the flavor was a bit off. With all that rich pork, you really need those condiments in full force.

Heard about this place through a recommendation from a friend. Was not disappointed! I ordered almost every flour empanada and a papaya smoothie; food comes out pretty fast (5-10 minute wait). I had 5 empanadas in total: tres queso, chicken, beef, spinach and ricotta, and what was suppose to be ham and cheese. Unfortunately the ham and cheese ended up being another chicken, and there was no way to check this before going home (ham and cheese was even written on the package it came in). The empanadas I did get were good nonetheless. I don't think I would get chicken one again since I'm not a fan of cilantro, but the beef one was my favorite! Just disappointed about not getting to try the ham and cheese one.

Not sure I would have otherwise found this gem other than the fact that the only parking spot on the block magically opened up for us directly in front of Seguidilla. We were planning to go that 'other' empanada place but figured When in Rome... We ordered the chicken and the beef ($3.99 each) and both were great. They gave us three sauces -- jalapeño (green), pizza (red), and house (orange). We found the house sauce worked best with the chicken and the red with the beef. Workers were friendly and welcoming. Interior is clean with small seating and more seating available outside. I still can't pronounce the name but I know where it is so we will definitely be back!

Employees were very nice. Spinach and cheese empanada was great, especially with the semonilla sauce. Chicken was a bit dry and did not have much flavor but was okay with the sauce. Would go back for the spinach empanada.

Ordered a cheese empanada and a Cubano sandwich...I feel bad even writing this review because it's a small little shop but if you're going to specialize in sandwiches it better be A+ ona regular day and a B- on a bad day. The pernil was the driest ever. The empanada was ok, the jalapeño sauce was the best thing I got.

This is in a ritzy part of town on 60th St between Madison Ave & Park Ave with Ferraris & Bentleys parked on the street, so you have to guess that the storefront rent must be astronomical. But oh, these gastronomical sandwiches are off the charts and can justify the price. Once you decipher the names of the sandwiches on the menu and see what's between the bread, you will want to try all of them. I settled on 2 finalists, but decided get both anyway. All sandwiches are made fresh with some of the best looking meats & ingredients I've ever seen! And what's better is that they bake all the focaccia for the sandwiches fresh and in-house. You see the bread oven right behind the register. I wonder if I could buy a slab of that bread? The L'Inferno brought images of Danté Alighieri's version of the Underworld to mind, but was a spicy hot masterpiece of sandwich art. The combination of thinly sliced roasted porchetta, nduja, spicy grilled eggplant & arugula was fantastic! The fresh baked focaccia took it even further. But I did learn something new today besides Italian pronunciation, which was that nduja (silent n) is a spicy sausage from Calabrese that's spreadable like butter. I gotta get me some of that stuff! The La Paradiso sounds like the third installment of Danté's Divine Comedy trilogy, but is a very mild, but tasty sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella & crushed pistachios in pistachio cream. The pistachio cream is a stroke of culinary genius and gives the sandwich an amazingly smooth texture & taste. The only part of the Divine Comedy missing from their menu is La Purgatorio and I do not want to find out what would go into that sandwich!

The scallion pancakes were excellent, too, crispy without being greasy and packed with scallions. I had seen a lot of reviews praising the General Tso's chicken, but I've honestly avoided the Chinese-American dish for years. Too often it's overly sweet with a heavy batter. Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. Reservations aren't accepted for parties of two, but in the late afternoon it wasn't busy at all, we walked right in with no wait. Would absolutely come back.

I have three big guys with me and sometimes quick lunches need to be more filling than fast food options, so we chose Alidoro's under Rockefeller Plaza. We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
