Before I begin, I simply wish to caveat that my friend was the paying customer, not I. However, having gone through the experience with her, I felt it necessary to add my 2 cents. From the moment they arrived, Josh (the owner) and his crew of 2 (sorry, I'm embarrassed, I forgot your names) were excellent! Being professional and personable, respectful and courteous, they not only followed instructions to the letter, but also gave helpful suggestions when the situation warranted them. They loaded the truck with speed and efficiency, allowing us to embark from Wildomar in just over an hour. We only had a couple of miniscule hiccups, not worth detailing, but Josh rapidly went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make them absolutely painless, looking out for my friend in a big way, which was much appreciated! If I could ever afford to hire movers, I would call them without hesitation. You guys are the epitome of excellent customer service and satisfaction, and have my 100% recommendation. Bonus points: Based on my experience today, Josh and crew get extra kudos from me for coming off very LGBT friendly, or at least respectful. The move per se was ok. The crew called 30 mins before arrival, the packing was smooth, and the drop off was quick. I would have given five stars but I am giving three because I found it pretty impossible to get in touch with them after the initial call where they gave me the quote. In fact, if you try and call their number, you'll be routed to a voicemail where you are asked to leave a message. I never received a call back. I wanted to reschedule my move and I managed to get in touch with them by starting a new request for quote on Yelp via chat. Someone from the Seize the Day team responded and I was able to reschedule the move. My advice to Seize the Day is to build a website where customers can manage their move (schedule, reschedule, add notes, purchase additional services, etc.). The service they provide is great, so why not making it more convenient for the customer? read more

These guys are GREAT! Hired them randomly through Movers.com and I am sure glad I did. They emailed me right away and verified all pertinent info. They showed up when they were supposed to and were friendly and caring. We have antique furniture that I always worry about but these guys took my worries away! They cared so much about our furniture and moved it with grace and care. They are fast and made sure everything was exactly where I wanted it! We are so grateful we found them. They were really good with communicating and arriving on time. I hired 2 guys for labor for $210 with a 3 hour minimum. From the reviews, I expected them to be careful with our stuff and somewhat unload them and put them where my parents directed. The only thing the moved in was the fridge. They just packed everything else in the garage and carelessly shoved boxes out of the way with their feet despite my mom asking them not to because some things were fragile. Also, hiring movers is supposed to make moving easy, if they completely packed in the garage, how is that helping my parents with the sorting. Some of the boxes are also heavy and they're high up. They brought in the fridge which is nice. Everything was unloaded in a little over an hour. Overall, a disappointment. read more

If you read nothing else of this review, PLEASE READ THIS; Please hire these guys and keep them in business. I need them to be around the next time i need movers because i realize, but don't care, that now my expectations are set "unrealistically" high. okay now settle in... this is a doozie... This review is L-O-N-G overdue, but trust me - it took an even loooooooonger minute to even begin the recovery process from the emotional trauma and scarring of this move, so it is what it is. My husband and I footed the bill to help a troubled family member undertake an intensely depressing and heart-breaking move. I was an emotional mess and suffice to say I sincerely doubt these guys could have even IMAGINED a worse customer than we were :( They not only agreed to help load/unload at both ends of the move, but they also agreed to DRIVE THE ONE WAY RENTAL TRUCK (towing their own car), meet hired but unknown laborers at the other end, and then put the contents in a storage locker which was a LIFE SAVER because the entire move was just a logistical nightmare from A to Z. And they priced it such that we could actually do all this for someone else. We didn't have the kind of money it would have cost from the quotes we got calling big name moving companies. a few highlights: 1) Day of the move - psych...!!! nope, permission to access the apartment REVOKED... moving/driving crew all standing around waiting for permission to be reinstated (some at the unit and some at U-Haul)... to no avail. we finally gave up, rain-check... ****Did seize the day have bad attitudes??? exactly the opposite! would not even let me pay for the owner's time while waiting... 2) Next day re-do - Able to access unit but contents not adequately packed, fixtures screwed to the walls, some furniture requiring dis-assembly... not to mention that yesterday was the final day of the lease... so today needs to happen - today! **** Did seize the day have bad attitudes??? not even remotely... these guys had their own tools in hand and were taping baggies of screws to the furniture the screws had been removed from and sliding mattresses into the disposable covers i had purchased at U-Haul... before i had given one instruction to do so... 3) Truck packed, but where will Josh be driving it to?? ummmm, would you believe NO CLUE!!! (no joke...) and I'm not talking about the exact address needing to be looked up... I'm telling you we did not even know WHICH STATE (i swear, no joke...) **** Did seize the day have bad attitudes??? not at all!!!! Josh was so damn cool and flexible, i seriously think he should get a tattoo that says "Grace under Fire" 4) Think about this... So here is the person we met 36 hours ago yet I trusted so thoroughly that I handed him a fat wad of hundred dollar bills (payment, gas, and cash to pay the other laborers on the other end), a truck full of furniture, and the truck/trailer i had rented in my name... and sent this virtual stranger on his way... **** Did seize the day take advantage of the situation??? not at all!!!! Josh made good time and kept in contact with me all the while. a total GEM of a human being not to mention completely professional... 5) Once at the destination, the unload movers were not there and once contacted, were going to be 45 minutes late, which i have NO DOUBT put josh in rush-hour traffic coming back to San Diego... **** Did seize the day have bad attitudes??? not at all!!!! Excellent, friendly and professional movers with very low ratesWe had an excellent experience while moving to a new apartment with the help of Seize the Day Logistics. I called them a day before we wanted to move and they were able to squeeze us into their busy schedule. We were really relieved on having found some help. Both the men were very decent and courteous and we were glad that we had bumped into their ad on Craigslist. They were right on time as promised and got into action immediately. It was amazing to see how fast they were moving and the number of things they were carrying. Though we had a lot of stuff, they managed to fit everything neatly in the van halving the time. This was great for us since we ended up saving some bucks and also the miles on the UHaul van.Also, we found them very fair since they charged us fairly i.e without rounding up the hours (it took something like 2 h 10 m and we were charged only for 2h15m). They handled all our stuff very carefully, including delicate things like crockery, electric board and TV. They also placed all the stuff in room and positions we wanted them to in the new apartment. The thing that impressed the most was that they carefully also packed a part of my table without damaging it a bit. I was really impressed by their smart thinking. I would recommend Thomas and his team to anyone who is looking to move in/around San Diego. I myself would not think of calling anyone else than Seize the Day Logistics. read more

I had contacted these folks looking to reserve them for my upcoming move and they were professional from the start... I had left a voicemail and got a response back within the hour. They kindly answered all my questions and I made a reservation. SeizeTheDayLogisitics contacted me the day before my truck loading day confirming my reservation. Thankfully, a few of my buddies came to the rescue and volunteered to help me out with loading my moving truck (so I could save some cash) and SeizeTheDayLogisitics were very friendly and professional with regard to my cancellation. I know what you're thinking. You're looking at this wall of solid 5-star reviews, thinking there's no way that Thomas and Josh are as incredible as these random San Diegans make them out to be, right? Well... They are, I promise. I called them in a pinch (morning of the move) to assist in unloading a 26' Penske truck when my help bailed on me. The other companies I'd called that morning declined to answer their phones... Their loss. Thomas was extremely accommodating of my late start time (5:45 PM) and kept in contact with me as the truck slowly made its way to San Diego. I was a little skeptical of their form of transportation (an old GMC Sonoma), but their professionalism proves you should never judge a book by its cover. They got right down to work and had no problem with me and my family assisting in the unload. I've seen movers in the past claim that, for insurance reasons, no one can assist them in a load or unload--a convenient way to wind up the clock, in my opinion. We chatted pleasantly for an hour and a half or so during the unload, something some movers would struggle to accomplish. They clearly strove to make me feel comfortable during the unloading process and were very welcoming on behalf of San Diegans everywhere. We banged out the entire thing in that 90 minutes or so and I declined their offers of having them put the beds together, etc--they'd already done more than enough work for the day and deserved to go home to their families at that point. They use Square, so payment (cash or credit card) is a breeze. Your invoice is emailed to you--claim those job-related moving expenses on your taxes! Extremely professional, obviously skilled at what they do, but, above all, they're great PEOPLE underneath their t-shirts and Seize the Day hats. Stop reading Yelp reviews and call them now, okay? These guyz are just awesome ! Bob , Alex and TJ helped me out with moving a 2 bed 2 bath apartment . They got a huge yellow truck for moving - it was more than enough. I had sofa , couch , 2 beds , entertainment unit and some furniture along with lot of kitchen stuff put in boxes. They were extremely efficient , courteous and careful while moving . Two words: Use them. These guys actually showed up early, worked quickly and efficiently and helped us out with some of the overflow during the load into the truck. When we got to the facility where we had to unload onto another truck they worked even better. Great customer service! I called them the day before my husband and I had to move after finding out our friends weren't able to help us out. They were quick to help us out and get a truck at the last moment. The two guys who helped move us were AMAZING! They were very professional, polite and worked at an amazing pace. It only took us 3.5 hours to move from San Diego to San Marcos while having to go up and down three flights of stairs at both locations. Just finished up with a local move with these guys and I must say I was impressed, and you can ask my wife I don't impress that easy. They showed up on time and where ready to go, the other big thing for me was the manners, super polite. I had a medium amount of stuff to move due to it only being an apartment but the down side was that I lived on the third floor and that a pain to do anything with. They took the time to be careful with all the stuff but also showed great hussle even on all those stairs. The job got done as quickly as possible and for a lot less then most of the others were charging. Kudos to these guys. read more

We had an EXCELLENT moving experience with Seize the Day. I had no issues with communication via email and text. Joshua and Abel were quick, efficient, careful and polite. They moved everything out of our condo in lightening speed and even showed me where one piece of our furniture was broken (darn IKEA) and told me my options with placing and storing it at our new house. They were really respectful to our over protective HOA; they monitored the whole process which they charged us $140 for (RUDE!). Once at our new place they were super quick and careful unloading all of our things. I forgot a box of very fragile owl collectibles I had in one of our entertainment center cabinets and everything was in one piece! Shows that they treat your items with respect. I am very disappointed with the level of service I received. While initially agreeing to move my belongings into a PODS container, they later completely dropped the ball. They did not return any of my phone calls or texts to confirm the time of their arrival. The woman I spoke to, who eventually returned my calls, said that she did not work for the company anymore and that I could leave a voice mail and someone might get back to me. No one did. When Hire-a-helper attempted to contact them on my behalf, they too were unable to directly contact anyone, or receive any sort of response. This left my fiancé and I desperately making phone calls in the attempt to hire movers on short notice. They showed up with their own well maintained dollies/hand trucks and tie downs (thank goodness because I had forgotten to pick one up). I used Seize the Day Logistics to help with my move from CA to AZ and they were a delight to work with. I hired them to simply help me load my U-Haul and the process went as smooth as can be. These guys are great! My wife and I moved from Encinitas to Charlotte, NC, and used a moving pod to ship our stuff. I needed some help with a couple of big items and that's all I really expected from them. They have a 2 hour minimum by California state law though, so I said we'd pack the big things, and then whatever else we could get after that would be fine. They packed the entire pod with ALL of our stuff in the 2 hours. They really busted their butts. It was awesome. Highly Highly recommend these guys. And we just unloaded the pod here in Charlotte and they packed it really well. Nothing shifted in transit and all our stuff arrived safe and sound and undamaged. Great experience. I hired two movers for two hours. They arrived promptly at the previously scheduled time and got right to work. Both gentlemen were extremely knowledgable and took pride in their job. They were extremely professional and efficient. It only took them 1.5 hours to load my 2 bedroom, 1400sqft home. They made sure all of my furniture was covered so no damage would be done. They also gave me tips on how to prevent damage while driving cross country. I HIGHLY recommend this company for anyone's moving/packing/loading needs. Unfortunately my second experience wasn't as good :-( I had to call several times to get my move confirmed before hand. While the guys were still hardworking and overall respectful on the day of the move, we had some "hiccups" including a broken item (this was partially my fault due to how I packed it, but I still felt more care could have been taken) and one mover being gone for awhile to get more blankets because the original ones had gotten wet in the back of the truck due to the rain. I was given a break on the price because of this, which I appreciated. I am still giving the 3 stars due to Joshua's kindness and respectfulness and I would give these guys another chance if I move again, hoping next time I can give more stars. read more

They were punctual with our start time. They had the old house loaded up in less than 3 hours and unloaded at the new home in less than 1.5 hours.
