This is in a pretty small section of New World Mall in Main Street. I decided to go because I literally like all bubble tea and go to almost any place that sells it. There was so many varietes of flavors. There weren't that many customers there either. The bobaristas make it really quickly and have a good manner towards customers. It tastes so good the boba is soft and they add a lot in the tea every time. You don't even need to get boba if you don't want to. It tastes good nonetheless. The cup design is iconic as well. I've been to Kung Fu Tea so many times. This is seriously one of the favorite bubble tea spots I have been to. Trust me when I say this, you've got to come her somehow! I discovered Kung Fu Tea about a year ago when I was in Koreatown. I was excited to see it in the New World Mall and decided to get a drink to go with my lunch. I got a medium Taro Milk Tea ($3.25) with Bubbles ($0.50) = $3.75. You can also chose the sugar level. I got 50% sugar. The tea was absolutely delicious. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy. I wish I had asked for light ice, because it seemed like there was so much ice in the cup. I asked if they had a frequent card and was told that they didn't have one. But I later noticed they have one on their app. I can't wait to come back and have another one of their awesome drinks!!! read more

She sloppily poured out some liquid to add bubbles and made a mess. Then charged me another $0.75. So $7 for a simple drink that I usually get for $6.10 through the app. Ripoff and poor service. I have a bone to pick with the manager at this Kung Fu tea location. Usually I get a okay experience at Kung Fu tea location but this one might be the worst interactions I ever had. I ordered a Wintermelon tea with no ice and they gave me ice by accident so I proceeded to ask the manager that they made a mistake and what he did was rip off the sticker lid pour out the ice along with part of drink and then just added water. When I asked is that how they make the drink he said yeah how else do you make it and then proceeded to give me attitude that I don't know what I was talking about. I guess if I'm paying for water I'll just take my business somewhere else, like my sink, and leave this one star review for kungfultea to contemplate whether if they really know how to make drinks at all at this location. I escalated to corporate and they brush me off a side like a leaf in the wind. They might claim that they make fresh tea every 2 hours, but I'm serving them some of my own tea in this review, you suck at provide a service that people pay a premium for. Stick with Starbucks they know how to treat a customer right and it cost about the same. read more

I'd rather it be Kung Fu Tea than Kung F.U. tea because that would just be insulting, and nobody wants to be insulted by the name of their chosen Bubble Tea place. What to get: Lemon Black Tea w/Tapioca, but like Jando said, everyone has a favourite drink here. What else: Queens is amazing, but like Jando said, bye everyone I'm moving to Hong Kong. The two best things about this infamous location of one of the most famous international Bubble Tea brands, are (a) the service from the really cute, stylish girl with the crazy hair and piercings, although she's not always there. She makes good recs, too... and (b) the fact that it's on the basement floor of the New World Mall, which is a Flushing experience that every single person and their brother should try out. It's amazing. But focusing specifically on this location, they do use too much sugar and their drinks are a little inconsistent. So even though their amazing Lemon Black Tea with Tapioca is an off-the-charts 5-star drink, this particular location is more like a 4. I still keep coming back here though, and recommend anyone who is in the mall, give it a try, as well as Gong Cha just across the court (get an original milk tea from them), and the Coco up on Street Level on the corner of Roosevelt & Main. However in retrospect I have to raise it to a 5 because it was the location that introduced me to KFT, and because they do make really good products, and adjusting sweetness level is really something I've also had the Yogurt Grapefruit drink (which the hot girl recommended) and it was really good, but too sweet the second time I tried it. Kung Fu is some of the best Bubble Tea around, so give it a try. There may be a location near you. Lemon Black Tea. Yum. I'm glad it's Kung Fu Tea and not Kung Pao Tea, though. OK, first off, let me say that I kinda love this place. The vibe, atmosphere, and service is fantastic. I visited for the first time three or four days ago and picked up one of their classic milk cap beverages. Right off the bat, I was very impressed with the presentation, speed, and flavor of the beverage. I was looking for a quick pick me up, and although it didn't give me the caffeine kick I was hoping for, I cannot deny the flavor was fantastic. That being said, however, the price was quite high. $6.50 for a drink that size was a tad excessive. Most of the Beverage was filled with ice, which to me is a little gimmicky. If the cost was lower, or the beverage was a better value at that price, I would definitely highly recommend you trying it out. But since that is not the case, I can only moderately recommend you guys paying this place a visit. Don't get me wrong, the drink is definitely tasty, but just a little expensive. I go to New World Mall so often that the security guard at the information desk recognizes me. In the sea of yellow that is Flushing's most concentrated community, this is considered an incredible feat. While I do get my grub on in the food court often, sadly a majority of my stop ins here have been to get my boba fix ... at this Kung Fu Tea just behind the escalators. During the day time, I am finding there are more and more lines here. Thank goodness making boba doesn't take long or there might be bubble tea hell to pay. The service is made up of a bunch of young Taiwanese kids in trucker hats rockin fashion that could easily be found in the mall somewhere. They're like any other young adult with a food court job: lackadaisical, uninspired, chatting amongst themselves and often taking my money with pleasure. For my non-Chinese speaking amigos, this might be the one spot in the entire court where they speak the most English of any stall. Like most of the other KFT spots, the drinks are semi-pricey but are nonetheless well done and the perfect summer day drink. I am still holding out the hope they'll one day accept credit cards, but for now, it's all cash. Everyone has a flavor they love at KFT but I always love to recommend the Taro Green Tea Milk with lychee. Provided you order with the full amount of sweetness it's a fun drink especially for first timers. it's possible it'll trigger diabetes in some people, in which case I'd recommend a smoothie over sweetened milk any day. My major one gripe here is despite the fact they post "specials" along the wall (free pastries, free drinks, etc.) but are rarely honored. I've never actually seen anyone redeem it. I've been denied way too many times for a free bun (buy 3 more or drinks) and being told that this deal isn't valid on a Sunday. I've attempted it on Thursday and Friday which garnered the same result. They might as well just make it a check-in offer. read more

Best taro milk tea with tapioca I've ever had! I wandered around the center of Flushing trying to find a decently priced bubble tea place and decided to walk around the New World Mall. The other drink stand in the mall was packed so I came here, and I'm so glad I did. The prices were cheaper than than the other places I went to, and my drink was fabulous. I ordered it with the regular amount of ice and sugar and thought it was perfect, though I do have a bit of a sweet tooth for an Asian so adjust accordingly. Cold, creamy, sweet, refreshing, and utterly addictive. The tapioca pearls were perfectly cooked and soaked in syrup so they were nice and sweet. It tastes exactly the same like any other Kung fu tea. I like all Kung fu teas because they do make hot bubble tea (large ones only). I would give it five stars if the lady at the cash register was more active at her job. I came up to the register, said hello to her, and looked at the menu. I have been using their Kungfu Tea App to purchase drinks - absolutely convenient - you can also earn points to receive free drinks in the future and get deals during special events! They have a great variety of drinks from milk tea, slush, espresso, and yogurt. Their tapioca always contain the perfect amount of sweetness and is compatible with any drink. Personally a huge fan of Kung Fu Tea. I like going simple with a regular bubble milk tea 30% sugar. However, that does not mean I am a fan of their service. First of all, the cashier had friends standing in front of the register and when I went to order, they shuffled out of the way practically hovering over me. While happily gobbling up malatang in New World Mall tonight, I looked up to see Linny F. staring over my shoulder with her jaw dropped open in shock. "What?" I ask, and all she does is point. I turned around and found myself looking at a shiny, new Kung Fu Tea. Seriously? Does Flushing really need a THIRD Kung Fu Tea? I'm a huge KFT fan, but even I think three locations within a two block radius of each other is a bit excessive. I suppose with a bunch of new competitors like Coco, Comebuy, and Chatime popping up in the past month all hoping to overthrow the king, a third location further solidifies their claim on the Flushing pearl milk tea scene while helping to relieve the heavy traffic at the other two Flushing locations. The staff looks like the same that's shared between the other two locations and the menu is exactly the same so I dare say that if you are already a fan of KFT, this one will not disappoint. The Almond Milk Tea should be renamed to "Syrup Milk Tea." When asked for less sugar I was told that they use syrup so apparently it cannot be less sweeter. Also they spend a lot of time making it and when it was ready, the lid seems to be loose so it spilled and so it had to be replaced. I will probably learn for next time to try the drink first before leave the place because...imagaine somebody taking a glass of milk and just pouring artificial syrup all over it..with no almond flavor whatsoever..it was NOT good..in fact it was hard to drink. Kung Fu Tea definitely had the longest line in the foodcourt and is probably where all the cool kids go. Unfortunately, I should have learned a long time ago I should stop trying to be a cool kid. This location seems to have more problems than the others. They either mess up my order, are out of what I want, or move slower than molasses. But yes, whatever I get usually tastes good and good things are worth waiting for, right? The foodcourt at New World Mall is pretty big and I've never had trouble finding a space to sit down. I ordered a medium sakura strawberry sesame blast. Only a few customers at the place. Took them over 20 minutes to make my drink. At least three customers who ordered after me got their drinks before I did. The person who was making the drinks was terrible. She literally got scolded by the cashier lady to make my drink faster when 10 minutes had passed and did not do anything. When she finally got the drinks poured into the cup she just left the on the counter inside without sealing them and giving them to me!!! After that she proceeded to go rinse something random container. She had a terrible attitude. I asked if she can pass me the drink after I saw that it was sealed and she just ignored it and continued doing whatever in the skin. The cashier had to step in to pick up the drinks and give them to me. I complained about the time and no apologies whatsoever, didn't even address the long wait at all. We came to the location downstairs in (what looks like) the fabulous food court downstairs in the New World Mall after their Main Street location apparently lost power, and thus the ability to make tea. It was a bit of a line, but it moved pretty quickly. The waitress tried selling us pretty hard on buying a cream puff (I do not understand how a tea + $1 = free cream puff...kind of implies it costs $1, right?), but the milk green tea with tapioca was pretty good. The only downside was that the bubbles were a bit more chewy than I prefer, but for the price ($3.50 for a large), it was a pretty decent deal. One thing to be aware of is that they mix up the order numbers all the time...we were served as #62, and the lady who ordered as #57 was complaining a bit about not having her drinks yet. Good bubble tea for sure, but the operation could be run a little more smoothly. I'd come back here for tea if I was looking for something to sip on in the neighborhood. read more

Kung Fu Tea is a quality place for bubble tea if you are craving something cold and refreshing to drink. Personally, I like my tea bitter and authentic so I love the fact that I can adjust my sugar level to my own preferences. Compared to other Kung Fu Tea's the Kung Fu Tea shop located in New World Mall's food court offers rather quick service but doesn't have personal seating or a quite environment to chat with your friends and family. You will find yourself with the choice of a lot of seats available, but you must get to them quickly before others because the food court is usually packed with a lot of people. I would recommend you to get your bubble tea with light ice so it does not dilute the flavor of the tea too much as you are drinking it. Additionally, the milk teas at Kung Fu Tea taste rather powdery and a bit too creamy and foamy so I would also suggest getting a bubble tea without the milk.
