We could not be more delighted with our experience purchasing a new mattress at SelectaBed/Relief Mart in Agoura Hills. They specialize in all sorts of memory foam mattresses and have an expansive showroom. Their sales manager, Gerald, (whose main concern seemed to be finding the right mattress for us not just getting a sale) knows what he's talking about, and went out of his way to help us choose the right softness. He cautioned us against getting something too soft, warning that we didn't want to trade shoulder and hip pain for lower back pain, and that if we found the new mattress too firm, it could easily be made softer with a topper. He also recommended we spend some time resting on various models to make sure lower back pain wouldn't be a problem. We visited their showroom three times to make sure we picked the right mattress. Unfortunately, it turned out to be slightly too firm. That was when we truly discovered how really terrific their customer service is. First I spoke with their customer service manager (Jordan?) about how to make our new mattress just a bit softer. He immediately responded with a solution. When I followed up with the shipping manager, (Duke?) he reassured me that the 1" super soft memory foam topper had made all the difference on his mattress. The two guys who hand-delivered the topper a short time later were couldn't have been nicer. I've rarely encountered such top to bottom helpfulness, especially after a purchase. Congrats, you've found the right mattress company. #thesearchisover I'm very thankful that we walked out of the Sleep # store and went looking for options. I leave very few reviews--this one deserves a post. I purchased a split king Air Pedic with Leggett & Platt adjustable base via phone after researching extensively. We live in Atlanta and never visited the store. I had prepared myself for disappointment on some part of the process. I figured that unless we went with the expensive "other" company, we would have to compromise on features. After 20 min on the phone, I couldn't have been more shocked. No compromises necessary, and we got more features for 35% less than the Number company. I purchased immediately during the first phone call. Here's how it went down: 1. A real person answered the phone on the second ring and transferred me to the appropriate sales person. 2. Doug picked up and asked about our priorities and needs for a mattress. We've got joint and back issues, and Doug explained how different mattress components would address the issues. 3. We narrowed down to a few options at varying price points. 4. After another round of questions, he recommended the LESS expensive option saying we don't need the extra layer. I DARE YOU to find another mattress company that would recommend fewer features at a lower price this early in a customer process. In addition, he said if we change our minds we can just swap out a few layer components and pay the difference. 5. We repeated the Q&A process to select an adjustable bed frame/platform. Again, a similar result after running through options. Realizing that I had just been consulted and not "sold to," I immediately purchased. It was that nice of an experience. I didn't want to talk to anyone else at any other company because I knew I'd be disappointed! As for the product? The Air Pedic was an instant improvement from our high-end memory foam. The three-air-bladder system makes a difference, and was noticeable compared to the 15 min we spent demoing the competition. The workmanship is high quality, and the beds are shipped in full form--not stuffed, vacuum-packed, or compressed. The pump action is smooth, quiet, and easy to control. There are NO weird smells. The mattresses were pristine, with no lint or any remnants of manufacturing or shipping. Installation from Manna's white glove delivery was perfect. The mattress offers great edge support (without feeling like you're sitting on a 2x4), and doesn't have the "jello wobble" feeing that lower-quality foam and air systems have. We bought the airpedic 800 king about 2 years. I thought the 6 chambers would be better support than select numbers 2. the multi-chambers do not conform at all to your body. To this day my wife and I change number settings every 3-4 month trying to find a comfortable setting. It has been impossible to get the right setting. Part of the problem the pump does not automatically keep the chambers inflated to the set pressure. It deflates over time and you have to manually press memory to re-inflate. The chambers do not support where you think the would. The top and bottom chamber settings are not controlled separately. I give 2 stars only because the quality is ok. I would not recommend this mattress, it is not comfortable. I will try select number next. read more

Our bed was delivered today but I'm not sure when we'll be be able to use it because they offer only curbside delivery. we were lucky just to have it put in our garage. they refused to bring it inside the house and they refused to take the old mattress away. Extremely disappointing to pay top dollar for a bed and have such poor service. We will most likely not unpack the bed and will just return it because I can't get it upstairs. read more

We purchased the m700 Air-Pedic Adjustable bed a few months ago and we absolutely love it! It's very well made, it's very comfortable, and the mattress stays cool all night long (we highly recommend the air transfer system). We tried the sleep number bed before this (both i8 & m7 models), but we had a terrible experience with both the poor quality of the mattress itself and their piss poor customer service. The sleep number mattress felt like a cheap air bed from Walmart with a piece of thin memory foam on top (you felt every movement) and the memory foam retained heat quick causing a lot of tossing and turning throughout the night. On a positive note this experience is what let us to finding Air-Pedic so I'd say it was definitely worth it in the end because the Air-pedic m700 is the best mattres we've ever had. We went to Sleep Num first, and while they do have more bells and whistles, this company's beds allow you to adjust in three different areas which makes sense to us! UPDATED REVIEW: Okay.......I am swayed, and sold! And, this is going to be long, sorry. After all the time delays concerning the actual shipping date, and trouble with the air pump not working once it arrived, THIS is the bed you've been waiting for! Well, at least it's the bed I'VE been waiting for, anyway. I ordered the Air Pedic 1100 series split king air adjustable bed with the Rize adjustable base. After suffering for years with a bed that was just a hell hole, giving us countless sleepless nights and not having the capacity to make a change in that situation for - literally...years; we have finally reached a point in our lives in which buying a high quality adjustable bed was doable. And, we went - 'hopefully' - for the best. I feel that I did my due diligence in researching the fine points of these type beds. Now....I know we made the right choice. Immediately we both were sleeping through a night...uninterrupted in blissful sleep. WOW! We've had it for nearly three weeks now and it truly has been as much as we'd hoped for, and never really expected. It is just awesome. We use to dread heading off to bed each night. Now, it's a race to see who gets there first! My observations about quality. This mattress is crafted with intent on quality. We once had an adjustable bed made by Select Comfort (now Sleep Number). It, at the time, was a good bed. Yet, the air chambers were prone to mildewing (yuk) and developing leaks. They were replaced several times. I don't know about materials of which these are made, however, the air chambers in the Air Pedic mattress look and feel like they are made from a much better grade of product to last...and NOT mildew. This mattress has the pillow top and it is like resting on a literal cloud when you lay on it. Kudos to the Air Pedic design team for the effort put into it's design and function. Over all the covering material of the mattress - a bamboo product - which is top notch. The stitching looks phenomenal. So, we chose the Rize bed base. Ours is the Contemporary model. The reason I chose this one is that it's the ONLY one I could find which has the tilt DOWN feature for the foot of the bed. I have to have this feature because I have very low blood pressure and this helps to keep that getting to my feet and stopping the pain I typically have when my feet get elevated, or even lying level. So, I really like that feature. We both also really like the adjustable lumbar support. And, it has under bed lighting, which is great! I guess the only downsides to this base are these. First, the head portion just needs another section that allows for tipping it a bit more forward, separate from the upper section that raises your back. It's not a deal breaker for me...I just wish there were some - independent - adjust-ability in it. Second, the remote for this unit - in a word....sucks. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It seems as though it has to be very close to the mattress or base to have consistency in operation. And when you get out of bed and wish to have it return to the flat position to make-up the bedding, don't be standing two feet away. It won't do it. Lastly, it needs more bolsters for keeping the mattress from slipping off the base unit. It only has one at the foot of the base. I must move around a lot while sleeping because every morning the mattress is slid off the base by several inches. Not a big deal. Just a bit of an annoyance. I'll fix this when I make a mahogany bed frame for this bed in my wood shop. One more thing to review. The folks at Selectabed. I am a VERY demanding person. When I spend money, especially the amount of money spent on a bed of this nature, I have a tendency to expect things to go my way. Perhaps unreasonably so - at times. Aaron was the unfortunate soul who became my sales agent. Let me tell you....Aaron is fantastic, patient, professional, understanding, and really a very forthright person in getting the satisfaction that I was looking for. He saw this sale through and never let my issues become a wedge between us. I truly appreciate that. Shawn in the shipping department deserves kudos as well. He worked very hard to get my bed shipped as best and quickly as he could. And here's how I really feel about Selectabed. After going through all of this and experiencing their professionalism, I just ordered another bed from them for my elderly mother. I KNOW she's going to love it just as much as we do ours. We had done significant research and recently visited a sleep number store, even so, Gerald patently walked us through the options and the process. As a salesperson myself, I was totally impressed with his sincere desire to provide information in a transparent and honest manner. If I had any questions about the quality of the product or the quality of the organization in general, they were quickly answered and my wife and I felt very comfortable proceeding with the purchase. ** Update ** I was lucky enough to accidentally get a hold of a person who could help. While the order was not able to be sped up at that point, Rick was really on the ball about giving me updates as they occurred, and trying to push the whole process along. In the end due to talking with the shipping company I got it the same day it arrived in the area. I will be clear in that Rick saved this entire review, with his willingness to explain all of the issues and work to lessen the impact as much as possible. I am told this all occured during a production shift in any event. So its likely you would not have any of my previous issues to begin with. The bed itself is pretty awesome, not as super soft as I expected, but perfectly cradling you whichever way you sleep, and as hot sleeper I haven't had that problem since getting the bed. ---------------------------------- Ordered a mattress 3 weeks ago, still no ship date. I was told, and verified that the production time would be 2 weeks, which honestly is still rather long considering the price you are paying. I have called multiple times to get an update and I hear " well its usually 3 to 4 weeks now"( from the shipping guy), which really sounds like a bait and switch to me. I asked if it could be sped up based on what I was sold and the question just was not answered. What is worse is the product still is yet to be made, then it has to ship to a regional hub, and then it has to be delivered. While I trust the mattress will be good, as of this point the customer service ( they are generally never available when I call and have to wait for a call back, and get conflicting information ) is pretty laughable. read more

I purchased two Temp-Flow Harmonia mattresses in September 2012, and have really loved them. I thought I should do my yelp duty to share my enthusiasm for Relief Mart and their product. I first purchased a Tempurpedic mattress of a similar medium-firm feel, and while it was supportive, I would get very hot on the mattress during the LA summer. I returned it and searched for a memory mattress with better airflow. I found the Relief Mart website. The office showroom was unassuming, tucked away in an office park, but the staff was very patient and helpful. I ordered the mattresses, waited a few weeks for them to be made. They were delivered for a modest fee ($50) in perfect condition. After two years of sleeping on the mattresses, I can say that they are the most comfortable I have owned. And they were less than half the price of the comparable Tempurpedic mattress (which I feel are very overpriced). If you're looking for a high-quality memory foam mattress and live in the area, I highly recommend checking out Relief Mart. read more

My husband and I have a new Temp-Flow Euro mattress from Relief Mart and are enjoying the best night's sleep in years! First, I was impressed by the quality of construction. The mattress had a bamboo material covering and if you have tried other bamboo products, you know how what a luxurious feel it has. It is also durable, water wicking and soft. I have had bamboo sheets for several years. I also purchased their mattress pad; virgin cotton made extremely well. There was no chemical odor. Several years ago, I purchased a memory foam pill at COSTCO and couldn't use it for several weeks until it "aired out". Sleeping on this mattress is wonderful and we can't wait for the hot Florida summer to test the air flow. We drove over 75 miles to see the showroom and products. The people and showroom could not have been better. Gerald was our sales associate, he was helpful in selecting or mattresses and bases. We chose two twin XL 1000 series matresses and Leggitt & Platt bases. These are the best mattresses we have owned and we highly recommend them. We were interested in a couple of other items for the mattresses but Gerald informed us it was not really needed instead of letting us just spend money we did not need to. After months of research, I decided to try the TriPedic Diamond mattress with AirFlow from Relief Mart. We also bought two Trillow memory foam pillows to go with the bed. We were sleeping on a pillow top PosturePedic that was more than 8 years old. Even though we liked the bed, it was starting to get old and uncomfortable. Plus, we really wanted to try a memory foam. My wife and I went to several of the big box stores and our favorite bed was the TempurPedic Cloud Luxe. We really liked the comfort and feel, but we did not like the $4600 price tag. I went online to read mattress reviews from multiple non-traditional review sites and discovered the TriPedic from Selectabed, which is owned by Relief Mart. Since we are both side sleepers, the TriPedic Diamond, which is their softest bed, seemed like the right fit. The design and construction is as close as possible to the Cloud Luxe, but less than half the price. I was nervous about making a large online purchase without trying the bed, but Jim assured me it was comparable to the comfort and support of the TempurPedic. He also recommended the AirFlow option, which is their patented cooling method for people who sleep hot. We have owned the bed for over a month and we love it. It is heavenly soft and provides the perfect amount of support for our backs. The bed cradles your body with a top layer of soft memory foam while the lower layers support your body throughout the night. There are holes through the top two layers of foam which lead to channels on the bottom layer that direct body heat out the sides. We have not experienced the heat issues that many people complain about with memory foam, so the AirFlow system is working as designed. The soft bamboo cover allows the bed to breathe, yet provides a luxurious feel. My wife and I have not slept this good for many years and we look forward to a restful night of sleep at the end of each day. The bed took about 5 weeks to be delivered, so be prepared for a longer than normal time to receive the mattress. However, the wait was definitely worth it for a great nights sleep. I noticed other reviewers complained about the time frame to get their beds delivered, but I was told up front it would take 4-5 weeks so I was fine with it. At the end of the first month we liked the bed so much, we purchased a second TriPedic Diamond with Trillow pillows for our summer home. read more

Last year I bought a tempflow king size mattress from them. the matress has been great and so has been relief mart both before and after the sale. I had a lot of quesitons before my purchase and they were always timely in getting back to me. The product was high quality I also got them to provide bunky boards (since i didnt want a foundation) and they hand made them and they were of high quality as well. After the sale I was looking for a matress cover to protect the matress and all the ones I found trapped in the heat, they had a solution me as well with thier all organic cotton cover. After use of the matress for a year I can definetly say thier claims about it disipating the heat are true ( all memory foams retain heat but this one lets it escape) I dont wake up hot like I did with some other memory foam toppers I used in the past. They are not the cheapest, but thier product is better than Temperpedic and other known manufacturers in my opinion. I highly recomend this business. read more

We have had our mattress for six months. Relief Mart's customer service is phenomenal and the TempFlow mattress is well worth the money. The shipping process between southern and northern CA is seamless as well. They require a phone consult to decide which mattress to buy, and they quickly called me after I left a message. I'm 5'9" at 135 lb and my partner is 5'11" at 185 lb. We're both side sleepers and I like a firm mattress with a pillow-top. Jim thought the Selene model was probably going to be too firm for me but a decent compromise given that my partner is quite a bit heavier than me. I opted for the Selene. Within one week, my chronic and stiff lower back and hip pains were gone. Towards the end of the three month trial period (which is longer than most mattress trials), I decided the mattress was indeed too firm so I called Relief Mart. I left a message and within one day, I spoke to Rick, who said the next softer model would probably be too soft for both my partner and me; he instead advised that we order an extra layer of the green layer. I was skeptical, and he assured me that if it didn't work out, he would assist with an exchange, even though it would have passed the three month trial period by that time. For a marginal price, it was purchased and shipped. The green layer stays perfectly fitted to our mattress, thanks to the material textures and the tight bamboo cover. Now we have our perfect bed, and we believe it will last for decades. Somehow it is the perfect density and contours to my body, no matter whether I sleep on my side, back, or stomach. My partner also loves it even more with the extra green layer. Please support this amazing company by buying your all American-made dream bed from Relief Mart. It's worth every penny. I travel for work and even my favorite hotel beds do not measure up to my TempFlow bed. To help break it in, follow their directions to rotate the mattress once/month for six months, then every six months after that. read more

We ordered two twin extra long mattresses to be placed on two power adjustable units. Yes, it takes a while to get them, but the upside of that is that they are being custom made for your individual needs! In a world of pre-made, no substitution allowed....this personalized service is in a superior class by itself! I am an Interior Designer and for high end product that is custom made , this lead time is short. The guidance that Rick gives each customer is unique in a world of de personalized order centers located in places you can't spell. The mattresses are made in this country with materials made in this country, you get individual attention , great customer service at a price that considerably lower than the Swedish import.... There is no downside. We are delighted with our purchase and look forward every night to sleeping on our Tempflow mattresses! read more

SelectaBed has made all of our mattress dreams come true! Gerald was our go to guy. We went in about 5 times to try different mattress out and finally settled on the Flexia. I loved it but, around 75 days in, my partner claimed it was just a bit too soft for his liking. We went back and found that the Selene was the magic fit! Gerald advised us that the easiest option would be to do an even exchange. I was really worried about even trying to exchange the mattress as I thought I wouldn't like the firmer one or that it would be a huge hassle but I was wrong. I have had my temp-flow harmonia for two years now. I was prepared to write a review after 3 mo but decided to wait just to make sure it would stay comfy & help with my back & hip issues. . So far 3 stars and the rest remains to be seen. But, I am very impressed with Dr. Rick and the customer service at TempFlow (reliefmart). I have back and hip issues and am like Goldilocks looking for the perfect amount of softness and support. I thought the memory foam would be perfect. Immediately, though it helped with the hip joint pain, other problems arose. Rick has sent me two different toppers and now we are starting over with a Latex bed. But, even though the memory foam was not for me, the quality was very good and it did not sleep hot at all (per their claims). So good quality as a fair price and this is the reason I am riding it out and just going for a different type bed. That and the customer service and ease in working with the company. I was very leary of going online for a bed but did it based on what I read and price. I decided that It is hard to get that perfect bed even when going to the store...really you can decide what will feel great for 8 - 10 hours after 3 minutes on it?! so to me the fact that Dr. Rick is working really hard with me is great and makes it better than a store experience. He is knowledgeable, patient and really wants to get it right. Hopefully the next bed will be perfect. But for now, I would highly recommend this company based on quality and customer service. read more
