A year after my solar installation, I noticed some water leaks in my ceiling and reached out to Semper Solaris. They responded right away and sent someone to take care of it. Brian was amazing--he spent an entire day carefully inspecting every part of my roof, fixing everything, and even running a thorough water test to make sure no leaks remained. I felt very confident in the quality of his work. Janice, the coordinator, has also been outstanding. She has consistently followed up with me after the inspection to check if the area was staying dry and free from moisture. That kind of ongoing care really impressed me. Finally, Austin came out to restore the inside of my home. He closed up the holes, repaired the peeled paint, and remade my ceiling so it looks just like it did originally. Semper Solaris replaced my roof along with removing and re-installing my solar panels. The solar system I have was installed by Semper Solaris several years ago. Overall I am very satisified with the project with one exception which I will point out at the end **. This was why I selected 4 stars instead of 5. The entire crew was very professional, on time and very efficient. They kept the area around the house clean along with removing all debris before they departed. The roof also looks great. I would like to point out several key folks for this project and highlight the great work of the entire crew. Mark Ivory the consultant for both my original solar install and this roofing project. He answered all my questions and assisted with changing the drip edge color which was a minor contract modification. Christian the project manager. He kept me up to date and helped to resolve a couple minor issues such as paint touch up. He also assisted with arranging the painting of the drip edge. He is a veteran and it was great to work with him as a veteran myself. He speaks Spanish which was helpful. An all around great person. Tony Q who removed the solar panels. He is an awesome "one man" crew. He was very efficient at removing the solar panels by himself. Impressive how hard this man works. Edgar who led a 2 person team re-installing the solar panels. Very professional and efficient. He also assisted with readjusting my security cameras as they probably got bumped during the installation of the new roof. **The one issue I have not resolved is an area where rain water comes off the roof and runs down the side of the house on the wall. My stucco is new and white in color. I am afraid this area will become stained once it starts raining. I did bring this up before, during and after the project was completed and an attempt was made to resolve. I performed a test with my garden hose and could still see water running on the wall (see pic). I was really hoping this would get resolved.** A couple minor notes that did NOT affect my score: Limited drip edge colors. This is more of an issue with suppliers than Semper Solaris. I ended up having mine painted at an additional cost. Glad I did because it looks much better when the drip edge matches the color scheme of the house. Paul was the high spot in my installation of batteries in a present roof top set of panels. He was responsive and was able to solve problems. The only problems were with your billing system. For years I have used a check to pay for work completed. You want to use Docusign which I have had problems with in the past. The installation looks good. I am waiting to get it turned on, but do not expect problems. It is comforting to know that if there are problems Paul will fix them without delay. Josh is the "Andrew Stevens" of Semper Solaris! OUR ISSUE: The data on our SolarEdge monitoring app stopped appearing. Technician Josh Demangelaere helped me out and got me going again! He's the "Andrew Stevens" or Semper Solaris (explanation at end of review) FLEXIBLE: Although Semper Solaris prefers to have tech calls by Microsoft Teams (works best in most cases) he allowed me to communicate by text and voice at the same time. FRIENDLY: Josh' tone of voice was really nice, friendly, speaking at a good pace, it was a pleasure working with him. He came across as "on my side" which is always nice when calling Customer Service or dealing with Tech Support. EXPERT: It was amazing as I spoke with Josh on the phone, it was as if he was looking at my solar equipment with me. He obviously knows it well. When he told me to look for a light or a switch, it was right there. ACCOMODATING: It seemed a matter of my ethernet adapters being at the end of their 5 to 7 year lifetime. (The "ethernet adapters" are small nearly-square devices that plug into an electrical outlet near your router, then connected by a HDMI cable for internet access, and then again in an electrical outlet by the solar power inverter, also connected by an HDMI cable). He told me I can easily buy a replacement, even from Amazon. I quickly ordered it online even while we spoke. Then he said "this is my personal cell number we're talking on. Just shoot me a text when it comes in and I'll walk you through the installation, which is basically just plugging them in" FINAL OUTCOME: It was as Josh had said. When the ethernet adapters arrived, I plugged them in. Didn't work immediately, so Josh sent me a link to an amazingly simple Semper Solaris webpage with steps to do a "power cycle", meaning shutting down the inverter in steps, then waiting 20 minutes, and reversing the steps to power it back up again. IT WORKS AGAIN LIKE NORMAL! EXPLANATION OF WHY I CALL JOSH the "Andrew Stevens" of Semper Solaris: I work for Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, a Brown & Brown company. When we need to contact Help Desk or Tech Support, everyone hopes they get Andrew Stevens. All our Tech people are good, but Andrew excels above and beyond. Hate to have to do this to a company owned by a fellow veteran. Have received several promises but not follow up to the issues we've been having with our inverters. Shows no generation at all in the app and no generation at the LCD control panel for one of the systems. Communication with this company has been terrible. Once they get past you signing all the Docs-sign documents, communication stops. I can still get the sales person to call me back, but he has not been able to get me in touch with a project person for my project. I have had calls from two different "Coordinators" that could not tell me the schedule. I have the existing panels to remove, existing roof to be removed, standoffs that will hold the new panels must be installed before the new roof goes on, then installation of the new system and battery. Didn't use Semper for the roof (outrageous price) which is the need for the coordination. Panels are supposed to come off tomorrow, I think, we will see. I can fix this review If the install goes correctly, otherwise more 1 stars to follow. read more

This is an update to my review 3/21/2023. After they read my 2 star review, an account rep called me immediately and helped schedule someone to come repair on 3/28 (yesterday), a full two-weeks from when I called initially. She said she'll email me, too, but I never got an email from her. Another broken promise. Yesterday, the tech, who was nice enough, arrived more than an hour early, which in my case was not great. I told him that I had a work call that I had to take so I wouldn't be able to talk to him afterwards. He assured me that I would get an email with a full report. He checked the attic and went up to the roof. I assumed the roof was fixed. Guess what? No report from Semper Solaris as of this morning. And it started raining today and my roof is still leaking - I can hear the dripping in the bucket I left in the attic. Seriously wtf. read more

Came out to see if it was their fault that I had leaking They determined it was TGEIR FAULT and tried to fix it since it does NOT rain OFTEN in California I can't know if it is fixed until it rains. Next rain; LEAK IN SAME PLACE. This time they came out and removed the panels and "fixed" it. Next time it rained.. AGAIN SAME LEAK IN MY KITCHEN SAME SPOT. Now THEY DONT RETURN MY CALLS.
