I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. There was an earth day special, and I think my favorite dish I tried was the stir fry pho noodles! I never expected it to taste so good. It was a fast sit down. Theres not a lot of tables so it filled up pretty quickly around 5:30/6 pm

Phenomenal! I tried the three course prix fixe for two people, which came with an appetizer sampler, two entrees, two drinks, and two portions of flan. The appetizer sampler was beautifully presented and all delicious. The chili tofu had an intensely tart and spicy sauce, the spring and summer rolls were fresh, and the lotus salad was bright and flavorful. The lotus salad was probably my favorite appetizer. For the entrees, the curry pumpkin was my absolute favorite. The root vegetables were all roasted and caramelized, pairing well with the rich and spicy curry. The rice had a nice, almost crumbly texture, which was great. The bun hue was also delicious - a bit spicy, savory, and comforting. It came with a large portion of rice noodles and vegetables. To finish off, the flan was a nice and not too sweet dessert, with nice toasty caramel notes. For drinks, we had the Vietnamese coffee, which was made with oat milk. It was quite good and not too sweet either. The bill came to around $100 with tax and tip, which is pretty reasonable for the huge variety of dishes, large portions, and wonderful taste. I can't wait to come back and try the other dishes.

Not a vegan myself but I certainly enjoy vegan and vegetarian-based meals! Given the limited amount of vegan options, let alone places service Viet food, I stopped by Sen Saigon to check out their vegan pho. I actually got myself the vegan duck noodles from their specials. I liked how the bamboo shoots had a crunchier and chewier texture than your typical bamboo shoots featured with ramen. I also enjoyed how the mushrooms were marinated, instead of regular mushrooms. The mock duck went well with the ginger sauce. The noodles were fine, but I wish the broth could be better seasoned and was warmer to cook my sprouts/basil leaves. I got to try my friend's vegan pho and the broth was pretty solid with the star anise and herbacious flavors. The cha gio was very solid!! Loved the crunchy wrapping and the mix of vermicelli and woodear mushroom. They substituted the pork with finely chopped taro, which actually worked! Its a cute, cozy little restaurant with a handful of tables/seats. We ordered at the counter and food came out quick. While vegan pho may not be on the top of my go-to meals, their pho was solid in this context!

I had been wanting to try this vegan Vietnamese restaurant for a while and finally found myself in the neighborhood this past Sunday afternoon. This is a very small, very casual establishment with not a lot of tables. The place was packed. I was able to get a table after a very brief wait and the service could not have been better. I enjoyed a very delicious pho, which was fresh and presented beautifully. Note that this is not a fancy place and there is no alcohol but it is a wonderful place to enjoy delicious vegan Vietnamese food with very polite service!

To preface, I'm not vegetarian but tried this spot out due to its good reviews, and verdict... pretty tasty! I'm not a fan of imitation meat products, so I stuck with mushroom and tofu dishes and had a good time with that decision. The bun cha gio was pretty close to the traditional version, and it was nice that everything tasted extra healthy.

SERVICE - located on the border of Chinatown and lower east side - very small interior with seating for groups of 2-4 people - order at counter and then find a seat - interior is cozy with plants and wooden chairs - ambiance good for a casual meal - food served relatively quickly - no restrooms MENU - Vietnamese selection of appetizers and entrees - all vegan/vegetarian - gluten free options available - average price ($17 per person) FOOD - bun cha gio (8/10): rice noodles with fried tofu puffs, bean sprouts, pickled vegetables, spring rolls, fresh herbs, and a side of vegan fish sauce. This is a very refreshing meal with the cooling herbs and the fresh rice noodles. The spring rolls were my favorite part as they were filled with a variety of vegetables and fried so that they were crispy but not oily. I ordered it spicy but on its own it was not very spicy. The chili oil on the table is a dangerous addition: a little goes a long way. Overall a great meal that is satisfying and unique. WOULD I GO BACK?

Checked out this place after seeing some social media posts about a vegan Vietnamese restaurant. I would to say the place is okay. It's probably high quality if you are vegan, but I am not. I love trying vegan and vegetarian places. The vegan pork belly is actually pretty okay. It's heavy on the star anise, but essentially you're eating bread on bread action so it's kind of like eating a bread sandwich. I do like the idea of vegan pork belly though. The service is great, but I think it misses the mark with regular people

This is such a cute laid back little vegan Vietnamese restaurant. The banh mih is the star but I've since come back to try a few more dishes. The service here is also fast (but not fast food fast) and friendly and the staff seems to actually enjoy eating here. Good amount of traffic in even the middle of the day.

We dropped by again beginning of March and this time with a big group of 8 people. The whole group loved the vegan food here, especially everyone the Banh Mi. Yes we tried all the Banh Mi this time. They were super accommodating and we sat at the restaurant for a long time. They were nice enough not to kick us out :) Missed meeting An and Erik this time.

Broth was delicious and they really did a great job at filling the dish with some vegetables and imitation meat. Felt like a very clean and healthy dish!

I was hoping to try something new in Chinatown and vegan and found this place with generally good reviews. Well those a reviews are all true. This place was incredible. I hadn't tried any spicy Vietnamese soup before - so I was pleasantly surprised but how delicious this was. I am a big fan of Asian imitation meat for its texture and this place definitely delivered. The owner was super nice and friendly and the space is beautiful! Highly recommend.

I'm glad I finally got to try this place! They have really good vietnamese food. Which makes me happy cause it is hard finding good viet food in nyc. I was born in vietnam and grew up eating viet food so my standards are pretty high. Not only does this place taste authentic but the fact that its vegan is blowing my mind cause it tastes like the meat counterpart. Highly recommend the spring rolls, bun hue and com tam.

My friend and I got the bun hui, Vietnamese coriander chili tofu, vegan sausage roll, and mango salad. The prawn crackers in the mango salad were just like the non-vegan version, and they were very good. Both the oatmilk Vietnamese coffee and oatmilk thai tea were just the right amount of sweet, and very refreshing on a summer day. The vegan sausage roll was also delicious, and the peanut sauce was excellent. Highly recommend for fans of Vietnamese food, especially vegan Vietnamese :)

I got the mushroom pita and the whole roasted baby cauliflower, and both were insane. Mushroom Pita: Fresh, fluffy pita bread, with roasted mushrooms in an umami-rich tahini sauce. The cauliflower is both soft and firm at the same time; it almost melts in your mouth. There's a reason that two times we went to Miznon, they had already run out. Friendly service, and a chill ambiance. They have fresh tomatoes and long green peppers as a living decor, and they will give you a cooked pepper if you like. Take them up on their offer - the pepper is delicious (and spicy if you eat the seeds).

It lacked the bold Parmesan and peppercorn flavor that usually defines it. The fries stood out in a good way. They had great crunch and texture and were easily the most consistent item on the table. The ribeye was decent but not at the level you expect for a $90 cut. The temperature came out at a proper medium and there was a noticeable char, which added some flavor. However, it tasted like it had been reheated rather than cooked fresh. The bone was not hot and the fat was not fully rendered or caramelized, which took away from the overall experience. It was not bad, but it missed the mark for the price point. Service was good, which helped the experience. But, with so many solid steakhouse options in NYC, this is not a place I would go out of my way to return to.
