In Oct 2025 I called Charlie around 11pm to let her know we tested positive for Covid, this way she wouldn't send the caregiver, until we were clear. She said: "I never answer calls at this time, specially if I do not recognize the number! Call during office hours" I literally had to match her tone of voice for her to change hers. In December I called the office to find out if my father's hours had been approved for 2026. Mary, an office worker, said they had been approved and that Mary the caregiver, would resume her schedule after Jan 1st. Which would be on Monday Jan 5th. Well, caregiver never showed up. Charlie's excuse was that we never spoke on a new schedule. I told her, I had done my part when I called her office in December. I told Charlie she should've called me before the year ended instead of leaving me hanging without a caregiver. We ended up taking more than one hour for her to set my father's schedule for EVERY Monday & Thursday. During this time she kept complaining of a new system that was recently installed. I asked her how far would my father's hours go into the year. She said she would call me back to let me know. Guess what? She NEVER called me back. So on Thursday Jan 22nd, again, the caregiver never showed up. I called the office and Charlie said: "Mary called me at 5am to tell me she wasn't scheduled with your dad. I told her not to show up because if you didn't approve the day/hrs she would have to go back home and then we (agency) would have to pay her two hours on our end." To which I replied: "What do you mean, I wouldn't approve the day & hrs? We had established an all Monday & Thursday schedule remember? I cannot have these no-show's happening. I leave my home thinking Mary will be there to help my mom care for my father (who is bedridden, late stages of dementia, Parkinson's, HBP, etc) and I came home to find out Mary never showed up!" Once again I had to match her tone of voice! I told Charlie that this was very unprofessional of her. You have already left me without a caregiver twice (without any notice). I made it clear to Charlie that I had no issue if she called me at 3am, 5am or at any time for that matter, when it's concerning my father's care. She straight up responded with a rude tone saying: "I am not calling anyone at that time! We don't want anyone who is unhappy to be with us, so find another agency!" I said Ok. Then, right away she replied: "I am removing all of Mary's hours and giving them to a different client!" I said: "Wait, let me first find another agency that way my father is not left without services" Her answer to this request was: "I'm not going to be waiting for you to call me back. I am removing Mary's hours!" I said ok then, now I need you to give me corporate's number because I need to file a complaint. She mentioned they are privately owned. I asked her to give me the name & number to whoever was her higher up. She said: " I am the manager of this office. There isn't anyone higher than me!" Are you the owner, I asked. To which she answered No. Long story short she said if I wanted to complain to go online and do it there. So, here I am following her instructions. People like Charlie think that they cannot be touched. They abuse their position. Besides this complaint I have also filed a grievance report through my father's insurance. I must admit that the following morning Mary the office employee called me to see if she could fix the incident that had happened with Charlie. In this case, she said, that I would be dealing directly with her and not with Charlie, but just to know there is a chance Charlie will answer the phone, that is enough to decline Mary's offer. There comes a point where enough is enough. I have now found another agency which is going above and beyond to help us out. I'm glad I don't have to deal with Charlie's unprofessionalism and her rudeness. If this review was regarding Mary the office worker and Mary my father's caregiver I would have given Comfort Keepers more than Five Stars, if possible. Oh, Charlie did tell me, that she would relate my comments to the owner. If she did I hope it was the way things really happened and not her version. I'm glad that offices tend to record their conversations for training purposes or whatever the reason may be, this way the owner will know what kind of manager he has running his agency. An agency that is supposed to to look out for the well being of the elderly population and not put them in danger of being left alone due to an incompetent, rude and unprofessional person like Charlie.

The RN evaluator is also caring, friendly and very capable. If family is involved and communicates they are willing to work with you for the care of the patient. The housekeeping staff is friendly and kind and always want to help. My mom needed doctor appointments and transportation and this was all arranged by the hardworking social worker. She handles the care meetings and coordinates care as if she was a case manager. She handles the hair salon and even additional nursing attention as needed. She walks around and checks in on patients. At discharge she handled all the needed items for home care and worked hard to advocate for my mom. Admission staff was awesome. They were very welcoming and made sure she had coverage with her insurance. They are great to work with. The doctor that oversees the facility was not easy to communicate to in part due to her availability. She is a full time doctor seeing patients in her office during the day. She made an effort to call back after hours but my own schedule also got in the way. It would be best if the doc attended the care meetings upon admission so goals and care can be discussed clearly. It was difficult to pinpoint care plans. Staff would send message to doc that family want to discuss care and it was hard to receive info back quickly or at all. Maybe if the doc was present at limited but fixed hours on site it would help. PT/OT was good and made an honest and persistent effort to assist recovery. It helps if family is involved and asks questions regularly. My mom was independent prior to her medical issue so the goal was set to return her as close to that as possible. You have to make it known to them where she was before very clearly. Otherwise she may be released too early and becomes a fall risk. The food staff is very nice and concerned. They made an effort to give her Greek yogurt often for her digestion. The food is otherwise not very tasty or presentable and comes from the main facility. I'm sure the quality in Claremjnt Manor assisted living is better than in the rehab unit. My mom ate mostly in her room and so could not ask for extra items from the kitchen as those in the dining room. The dining room was filled with behabing persons that need assistance eating and this was hard to see for her to see while eating. She is a social person otherwise. I would definitely recommend this facility. They have helped her recover through 4 events in the past year and a half. No place is perfect but Claremont manor care center does a great job. They want to help and truly care. We are lucky to have them in Claremont.

I see a lot of work as they're trying to make improvements. For a visitors, employees, and residence of this facility. I had a question where my friend was located at. They were very quick to look in the computer and guide you which way to walk closer to the room. Smiles on each of the workers. For they truly care of what type of care they give to each resident that lives there. They work with post acute patients that come out of the hospital. Claremont Heights provides physical therapy so the residence can be more independent so they can go home quicker. The beautiful activity room was wonderful to see as this is a heart of each residence, getting better and stronger and feeling loved. They provide the medication each residents needs. The check-in kiosks is so easy to understand and use. Once you walk in the lobby, the staff is very happy that you were there very kind and always has a smile on their face. The only downfall I noticed is the facility. Some rooms have cracked in the ceiling and in the wall. There needs to be a custodian team to keep the rooms swept and cleaned to whether you'll find trash on the ground. To all the nurses that work there the CNA's that work there the kitchen crew that works there. I am so thankful that every resident has a smile on their face, knowing they are safe and well loved. There are vending machines and some courtyards so the residence can buy their favorite snacks. The roses and the colors of the gardening are just so beautiful. It feels like you were at home. When you walk into the lobby, there is music being played. And there is a TV screen and it shows the most amazing colors of every season like a picture window.

However, we had 1 staff member who came and decided she needed to take pictures of my incoherent fathers private parts. We did not sign any paperwork giving consent for that to be done either. My wife walked into my fathers room to the sight and sound of their staff member taking pictures on her personal phone of his naked private parts. My wife immediately told her to delete the pictures and to never do it again. I messaged the management about it and they apologized profusely & promised me the problem had been rectified and that it would never happen again. We never saw that staff member again either. Outside of that specific issue we had no other issues with any of the staff who cared for my father. The rest were amazing & caring. My other issue was when my father passed. We called and had to wait like 6+ hours until someone came to pick up his body. The real kicker was the staff member who came out to make sure my father had really passed. She was disturbingly more focused on making sure she got a count of all my fathers prescriptions that they had issued him. He's laying dead on the bed and she wants us to run Around the house and track down his medications. She could have cared less about the 20 other medications that he was issued by other doctors; she only cared about the meds that they issued (many of which are simple over the counter meds). She then proceeded to take forever individually counting all the medications and then she poured them into cat litter & mixed with water. Then she left the bag for us to dispose of. Biggest distasteful professionalism in my life that I've seen. My father just passed and I got to sit at a table while this staff member counts medications. Like for real! Horrible method of assessing when something is appropriate to do; timing! Outside of these 2 horrendous issues (of which, I have not sued them over for illegally taking pictures of an incapacitated mans private parts) - I will say that the Visiting Nurses who come to care for the Hospice Patient - they were 5 stars Hands down!!!

Maria C was my caregiver scheduled for my surgery in Colton. She arrived on time and was very kind and attentive throughout the procedure and after. On the second day for my post-op appointment another Maria was scheduled. She also was kind and caring and a pleasure. She helped me with some household tasks and later took me to my appointment in Rancho Cucamonga. So if you are far from family and friends, or they are tied up with their own tasks, go ahead and hire Visiting Angels, who treat you like family.
