    Queso fundido
    Miguel R.

After reading the reviews my friend and I decided that the elite reviews were a 50/50 so we decided to check it out ourselves. Immediately walking in we were greeted by someone walking from the back kitchen who happened to be the server. The host was on the phone talking with someone. We sat down and decided to order the queso fundido and the Mexican guacamole. We both agreed that the queso fundido was bland tasting and the chorizo wasn't as tasty. We both rated this dish a 3 for presentation and 0 for flavor. As for the Mexican guacamole it really did look like a child put it all together and tossed it in a normal bowl. We gave this a 1 for presentation and a 2.3 for flavor. We then decided to order the birria tacos and the bonderas (I think it's called this) it's the steak and chicken skewer with bacon, onion and bell pepper. The birria tacos are 3 tacos and the tortilla is fried and so it doesn't allow for the juice from the birria sauce to be soaked up. The near had good flavor but could have been better. We both didn't care for the vegetables in the rice. The other dish was heavy on a smoke mesquite rub. Chicken was dry but had the flavor with the rub outside, steak was great soft and flavored. The service wasn't bad, we did have to waive her down every time we needed something. All in all it was an ok experience. I can't say I would be back. The biggest issue was pricing, the tacos are 2 tacos for $16 or $18 depending on which one you get. With vallartas being down the road and getting 6 street tacos for $12 this place is WAY overpriced and the food wasn't worth paying the high prices. $100 for 2 with water is outrageous.

Had a fun experience here tasting some of their delicious margaritas and as well the Birria tacos. The honey margarita was actually wonderful, not too sweet, great flavor. Service at the bar was great. Very accommodating and attentive. The tacos were pretty good too. Parking available right out front the restaurant which is located in a strip mall.

One of my local favorites, without a doubt! The service here is always exceptional, and the food is always fresh and delicious. There hasn't been a single thing on the menu that I've ordered so far and haven't absolutely loved. Will always recommend this place, 10/10

Really enjoyed this place. The ambiance was great, a little more intimate and quiet than the regular Mexican restaurant. Our server, Gabriel, was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The food was very good and the presentation was wonderful. I had the Acapulco Burrito, grilled shrimp with bell peppers and onions. My wife had the Quesadilla Veracruz, similar ingredients as mine but with a spinach wrap and a very different cheese sauce. Both were delicious. Don't know when we'll be in Wesley Chapel again but we'd certainly come back here.

Senior Tequila is a very clean and inviting restaurant. We were greeted with a complimentary bowl of chips and salsa. I preferred two hard bean tacos. They were delicious. The flan was the best I have had in a long time. We will be back!

The food was good but made us feel full and bloated. They did get my order wrong but it was still good. Not sure we will go back though.

First visit. Very nice inside! The waitress was the biggest let down. She would just drop things on the table and keep walking. Not very attentive either. My husband did like his dinner but the portion was very small for him and if I didn't give him my rice he would not have been full. My dinner was very tasty however the chicken pieces were very thin. You can not see that under the toppings. It is pricey and the amount of food is not a lot for the price.

Coconut Dream - very tasty, but didn't taste like there was any alcohol in it. Ordered a shot and added it, and it was great.

I had dinner here recently, the dining room is really nice and the service was good, but i wasn't a fan of my meal. Tacos are just about my favorite thing to eat, but I found their Carnitas tacos to be dry and lacking flavor. Same with the side of rice and refried beans. They had flavor but also an odd flavor, color, and texture to me...like they were trying too hard. The chips and salsa were underwhelming...we still ate them, I just wasn't excited about them. I did really like my drink, the coconut dream, after ordering and adding a shot of Bacardi rum to it.

So we read the few reviews and decided to give this place a shot. First off the atmosphere is really nice. It's an upscale Mexican place that feels more intimate than other places. So that was a plus! The food was good, a bit expensive but solid Mexican food. We had the Texas fajita and they were fantastic. Also we ordered the fancy guacamole with chicharrones. That was super good, but was overloaded with onions. Just order it with the onions on the side maybe? The drinks were good and the specialty drinks are a bit overpriced. $15 for one margarita is a little expensive for me. We will go back as it is a local place in the land of chain restaurants.

Super delicious good food. I had the Chicken Margarita with a side of Stella Artois. Cheers! The service was just as amazing as the food. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms. For desert I took home two slices of their Xango ( Chango). Which is a slice of cheesecake deep fried and covered with caramel. Holy Smokes!!!!! Sounds delicious right! I'll find out when I get home. Too full to eat it now. LOL Give this spot a try the next time you're in Wesley Chapel.

Was in the area and went to the bar for a quick meal. There was a few spots left but everyone was finished and paying bill. Took around 15-20 minutes to be spoke to. Besides the initial acknowledgment the food was excellent. Great drinks and a large menu with many options.

Visiting family in Tampa, and they wanted to try this new Mexican restaurant in town. The ambience was "bonefish", the service was marginal, but friendly, and the food was good, but not great. Reasonably priced and good in a pinch.

The staff is consistently quick, friendly, and on top of everything, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The menu is what you'd expect from a solid Mexican spot, familiar ingredients done well in a variety of ways. I always go with the #18 (1 burrito, 1 taco, rice, and beans), and it's the perfect portion. Every time, I leave completely stuffed. One of the highlights is when the mariachi band comes around. I once asked for "Rocky Top," and they absolutely nailed it, somehow blending that bluegrass vibe with a Latin twist. It was one of those moments that just makes the night more fun. The only downside, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the restrooms. They don't quite match the cleanliness and attention you see in the rest of the restaurant and could definitely use more consistent upkeep. Overall, it's a great go-to spot with fast service, good food, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely keep coming back.

I'm not sure where in Mexico the food here is inspired from but when you ask for a chile relleno here just know that you will get a plate of queso with a small piece of a green chile in the center. We were so confused! And then he brought out an actual chile relleno (just one when both of us had ordered one ) and told us that was the poblano.. I'm also not sure if the was miscommunication with my enchilada , but I asked for a cheese enchilada and received a beef enchilada covered in queso which was gross , no enchilada sauce. My bfs enchilada had the sauce but no cheese... we had both ordered the combo and it didn't even come with rice and beans as a normal place would serve it. And to top things off, the salsa here had a taste of like dirty dishes, it sucked because the first time we came here I did like the salsa for being a bland one it was decent. But yea ... this place can do a lot better.

The feeling from outside screams Mexico, so we thought we hit the jackpot (not so) the locals seem to enjoy this restaurant. But what I learned is small towns that finally get something new is what they consider to be good. Our waiter Manuel wanted us to probably order more than just our entrees. Our drink selection wasn't appealing as well 3 waters and 1 corona. But we didn't come in for drinks especially since we just left a kids party and had a few drinks there. The children had the cheese quesadilla with fries, they weren't impressed. My wife ordered the carnitas and it was okay and for me the Jalisco Special. Presentation of my wife and I dishes were good but the lack of seasoning is where restaurants are falling short of. What I'm learning is the lack of seasoning is being replaced with sauces. No matter how bland your meat choices are they encourage you to try it with the sauce. This place seems as it use to be Jalisco restaurant but revamped into Plaza Mexico restaurant. The locals may keep it a float but time will tell if this place will last. Hopefully management can fix the lack of seasoning as this is a Presentation of Mexico and are well know for flavorful dishes not dishes with sauces. I know I won't be back but this small town needs true identities of culture dishes.

Honestly, hands down the worst attempt at Mexican food I've ever had. This place honestly is a disgrace to Mexican food. The salsa was pathetic, no flavor and tasted like plain tomatoes. The second "salsa" we were told is a house favorite. It was literally a cold tomatillo ranch, gross. I got 2 ground beef enchiladas with Tex mex and a chili relleno. The enchiladas were not good but were also not the worst thing ever. The chili relleno however, tasted like a frozen pack of TGI Fridays mozzarella sticks from the store. No joke, you could taste the freezer burn on them. The beans were watery and had no flavor. The rice, you could easily tell has been sitting in a fridge at least over night. It was dry, hard, and also had no flavor. It amazes me these restaurant owners want to have a successful business, but insist on cutting corners and not making fresh food. Your food sucks and I won't be back. I wouldn't even let my dogs eat this food. Harsh huh? Simple solution, make your own food. If you want a successful restaurant, make your own tortillas, cook your own beef, make your sauce fresh everyday, shred fresh cheese, STOP CUTTING CORNERS. Any person with a good palette can clearly tell everything has either been sitting in a freezer or a fridge over night. The ambiance is also quirky and I'm not sure what themes they're going with. Woods, bricks, dogs on the wall, 90's color schemes, it's just not it. It takes me 5 minutes to make great food at home, I'll never understand why restaurants can't do the same. This is the type of place you see on a Gordon Ramsay show that he tries to save. My taste buds will never forgive me for eating here, don't make the same mistake.
