So I was a fan of the location they have on Fullerton and when I noticed they opened a express location right in my neighborhood (diversey near laramie) I thought it would be a good idea to support that location as well. Unfortunately this express location left me with a bad experience that just made me no longer want to give them my money. I can't judge it on the food because I never had a chance to try it. The food at the Fullerton location was great. As far as this other one I came in just to order some coffees. At this time they had a door extension added to their storefront. When I was leaving attempting to hold these coffees in my hand once I opened that door it's swung back so hard that it made me spill my coffee all over me and on the ground. When I walked in to tell them about the incident that clearly happened right in front of their faces. They didn't even attempt to show any type of empathy or to even accommodate me considering the inconvenience and provide me another coffee at no cost. Instead they offered me another coffee but they were trying to charge me again for a coffee that spilled all over me right in front of their faces because of their issue with that door slamming so hard. I refused to pay double because of that so I left and never came back. I usually go to this spot 3-4 times a week, but today I had a terrible experience even with the manager present. My party and I ordered appetizers and food. We got the appetizers, but waited 20-25 minutes and never got our food. When I asked about the food I already ordered it turns out the waiter never placed our order in the system. The manager became aware of this and responded in non-caring manner and insisted that we pay for the appetizers. He also gave an attitude like reaction like "You ate your appetizers right?, well then you pay then." You can sense his attitude with us the customer... In my opinion as a business owner he should have seen the bigger picture and waived our $14 bill, but he chose otherwise. It is NOT about the money, but the principle in satisfying and retaining a clientele that constantly visits your establishment. Overall, their food is good, but today the manager evidently portrayed less than mediocre customer service. It doesn't take much thought to know when someone is trying to be rude and couldn't care less about your experience good or bad. Two thumbs down for their customer service and the manager who could have handled things in a different manner. I used to enjoy coming to Señor Don Pan--this place was always packed with good vibes and full of life. Unfortunately, this recent visit was a huge letdown. I haven't been in a while since I no longer live nearby, but I was shocked by how much things have changed. The restaurant was completely empty, which was surprising for a place that used to be buzzing. Prices have nearly doubled, but the quality has gone way down. The staff was inattentive and unresponsive. It took 45 minutes to get our food, and our appetizer didn't arrive until after the main dishes. To make matters worse, the water jar had visible mold on the lid, and it took forever just to get it. The food itself was bland and tasteless--not at all what I remember. Sadly, I won't be coming back, and I honestly don't recommend it. This place is not what it used to be. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I Live in the neighborhood and certainly come here often, im usually with a friend so you know that means CHIT-CHAT! The whole experience is always pleasant, from the moment you walk in the door to the time you exit. Waiters are all very friendly, & food is AWESOME! Food varies from Light, to on-the-go or just sit down and eat a big plate! My wife and I have gone to Señor Pan Café a few times and we were there several months ago. We usually order a 'Ropa Vieja' sandwich and coffee and it was good, but this last time we went, it was nothing like before. The taste wasn't Cuban, the spices and seasoning was definitely not there, it wasn't even marinated the correct way. The meat wasn't chewable and clumpy. I was so upset. It resembled 'Tinga' a Mexican dish without the chipotle peppers. The cook is obviously not Cuban. My suggestion is take Ropa vieja out of the menu or change the cook! read more

I was invited here for my sisters birthday dinner. 7/21/15 My first time here and I must say it everything was delicious. I had the Ropa vieja.. Best taste ever... The mojitos were the Bomb! I went to Senor Pan for the first time today. Absoutley loved the ambiance. Very traditional/Homey feel. They have latin salsa music playing the background; the service was great. I ordered a steak sandwich (very similar to a panini style) DELICIOUS! I also had cafe con leche (coffe with milk) also very good with a kick of REAL caffeine. Dont forget to try the flan. This year i decided not to cook for Thanksgiving . We order a package for Thanksgiving from señor pan . The lechon did not have much flavor. The yuca was not cooked, it was undercooked and hard. The only thing the was good it was the congri rice. Im dissapointed i really expected more. read more
