Not gonna lie I was super disappointed. This place came highly recommended If you come here the tacos are good. However, I went with the molcajete that had the seafood and meh! Birria fries were decent, and i enjoyed the street corn. I ordered a lime margarita when we first ordered and it was really good. So I think to myself let me be extra and get the big mami. It was nothing but ice and chaser and a dash of alcohol. I should've sent it back, but i'm just not that guy. When somebody shows me who they are, I immediately believe it, and these guys are scamming with that weak drink. All the other drinks that came to the table were solid. Which says a lot. I came with a friend for happy hour (Mon-Fri 3-6pm) on a weekday and we were surprised how busy it was. They also have daily specials (Mon-Thur). We got the $5 12oz happy hour margaritas and some food and everything was great. The Esquites were good, but it didn't really stand out. We had a good time and service was also good. Señor Tequila's was a surprisingly delicious experience and I loved every minute of it. I love Mexican food and it was recommended to try this spot out in Germantown. Coming from DC, it is worth the drive. The decor is fun and entertaining. It gives a lighthearted feel with a sprinkle of culture. Our server was really nice, attentive and made great reservations. I started off with the extra large mango margarita with tajin rim. Definitely a great way to start For an appetizer, I started off the the birria fries. They were absolutely delicious and prepared to perfection. I next had the carne asada quesadilla which was seasoned perfectly and had the right balance between cheese and the carne asada filling. It was so delicious, I placed another order for takeout. I'm not a fan of negative reviews but this has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Our server had a great personality but had a severe communication issue. She did not speak much English and she destroyed our order three times. When the food finally came she took the entire meal to bring the chipotle ranch for my salad. It's loud, it's fun, and it's cheap (on weekdays with their specials). We went in on Monday and many of the people from our group took advantage of their BOGO margaritas (Mango and Lime). From what they told me, some of the best lime margaritas they had. We ordered tons of apps and drinks before we headed out to TopGolf right next door. Guacamole was good but missed spiciness. Queso was great as well. Mexican street corns average but not bad. Could have been helped with some more seasoning. However the fried plantains is something I'll skip next time. It was fairly busy even on Monday night and this our service was slow. We generally got bits and pieces of our order. The place was loud with Mexican songs and a birthday celebrated every 5 min with the servers playing drums and singing songs. Definitely a fun environment with buddies. The service here is outstanding. There was literally not a moment where I didn't see my server Tomas smiling. Which somehow brightened up my day. He was prompt and kind. They work as a team in here when Tomas checked on another patron a colleague of his checked on me. Love the unity. The interior is a hodgepodge of Mexican culture. I got the birria pizza and the cheesecake chimichanga, man was it amazing! The birria pizza is superb, great amounts of both cheese and meat as well as a flavorful consome. The cheesecake resembles a strawberry shortcake with the warm crispy cheesecake complimenting the nice cold ice cream. Wait times for orders could be improved but overall nothing too ridiculous. Haven't been since Spring. Still like this place but our experience wasn't as good this time around. We had the Fajitas with chicken/steak/shrimp and the Tacos (pork/chicken/steak). Unfortunately, tonight all the meat was really dry. My daughter could only eat one of her 3 tacos. My fajitas were equally dry (shrimp was good). Luckily, the toppings helped add moisture. Our server didn't realize that the fajitas come with a side of condiments (guac, sour cream, cheese, pico). I had to request those. The traditional margarita was good and our server was friendly. I did tell her that the meat was all very dry, when she asked if we wanted a togo box. She just looked disappointed and got us the check. I haven't given up on this place, I have just found that it is inconsistent in the experience, which is disappointing. read more

Señor Tequila's is a cute place with nice vibes that makes for a great happy hour time. I ordered the enchiladas and they were literally drenched in Mole. Honestly, avoid the mole unless you're a very big fan. It was soooo strong on a certain flavor that it took away from the rest of the dish and I couldn't enjoy myself. There is also a $1 up charge for their spicy salsa which stinks but that stuff is delicious!! A classic suburban Mexican restaurant experience! They have all the dishes and drinks you could possibly want to order at a spot like this. Loved the variety of options and the atmosphere was loud and fun on a Saturday night! Maybe a little too loud for my parents, but I had a great time. Sadly, our food took an hour to come out after we had been seated and they brought out the appetizer we ordered after we all finished our mains. Next time, I'll order one of their delicious sounding drinks to help pass the time. The food was good, and while it didn't blow me away, it met my expectations. Also, the employees were very nice! Senior tequilas has become a special place for my husband and I--we come here every week because the food is always amazing, and the atmosphere takes us right back to our vacations in Mexico. It truly feels like family here, with the warmest and friendliest staff. Our most recent visit made us love this place even more. Our friend's brother who uses a walker needed assistance in the men's bathroom. Without hesitation one of the owners noticed and immediately closed the bathroom so I could go in and help. That level of kindness and care is rare and it speaks volumes about the people who run this restaurant. If you're looking for incredible food a welcoming atmosphere and a place that genuinely cares about its guests this is it. We can't recommend it enough! read more

Mexican food is one of my favorite cuisines however a lot of restaurants, like this one, have basic dishes, with basic flavors. Even my friends told me, that this place isn't good. However, I was in the area, and my company wanted to feast on Mexican. The service wasn't bad. The hosts were nice. I wouldn't say they were on point, there were times where we played the waiting game. Food was ok, but lacked flavor. The rice and beans that come with almost every meal, tasted so generic. Now the 3 stars mostly for ok service but the drinks (boozy) drinks are good. Unless they have good happy hour drink specials, I doubt I return. read more

Very disappointed in yesterday's visit. I went around 5pm so it wasn't busy. We were seated quickly but we waited a long time for a server to get our order. It was disappointing not to be able to do happy hour since the Vday special options weren't that great for food or drinks. There are better options for happy hour. We were served quickly and efficiently but were disappointed to see an onion peel which I can forgive but not hair in our food.
