Stopped today for lunch - ordered the Enchiladas Suizas with barbacoa meat and salsa verde. Enchiladas were good and the salsa verde had a nice kick to it. Biggest kick however came with the bill. The "lunch" enchiladas came out $5 more than the menu indicated the price was for the salsa verde and the barbacoa meat. Pointed out to the waitress that menu gave the choices of meat and three different salsa's and no where did it indicate they were extra. Her response was yes, they have to add that to the menu. Too bad as the food was not bad but charging almost 50% more than the menu price and charging $19 for two enchiladas for lunch is just shady. read more

I'm from AZ, so I'd like to think that I know what good Mexican food is. Y'all, this is just not it. It's extremely over priced and their enchilada were just mid or whatever below mid would even be. The tacos... just no. Also the service was super slow. We were in there for about 2 hours. Our food came first before our drinks or silverware. Disappointing. Went there after a bike ride in the city. Chips were borderline stale. They did not have the beer on the menu or the Tres Leches cake on the menu. You cannot order Tacos a ala carte and they have a surcharge for credit card purchases. I would have overlooked the credit card charge if the experience was different. This was my 2nd time here as a friend lives across the street. The first visit we just got chips and salsa and margaritas to go. I got the pineapple in the little to go pouch and they were good. I revisited last night and we walked in no waitress to seat us but one of the bus boys greeted us and told us he would seat us. The waitress came over to our table after helping another table that arrived after us. We saw several other people that worked there but there was only one waitress. When she finally arrived to our table she was friendly but seemed very rushed. I tried the barbacoa tacos and my friend had the chicken. The Barbacoa was ok i would rate it a 2.5/5 the rice wasn't my favorite and the beans were fine. I had the mango margarita. I'm a very light weight with drinks and i almost felt like it was a virgin margarita. I will give it a try earlier in the afternoon next time to see if there is a difference considering we got there at 1030pm. I wasn't impressed at all! read more

I was SO eager to try this place after seeing that they have a whole vegan menu... but wow, what an utter disappointment. The service was abysmal - we waited over 30 minutes to have someone come to our table and then it was almost an hour until our first drink arrived. The service continued to be horrible throughout the evening. The food was horrible and even the drinks were so bad that after disliking my first margarita, I ordered a second in a different flavor, hoping I just didn't order the right one the first time - and it was SO bad that I just left it untouched. It broke my heart to leave a perfectly good margarita without drinking it but it was that terrible. The staff was so rude and dismissive from start to finish. I really wanted to like this place but with horrible service, horrible food, and horrible drinks, I won't be back. read more

Liz took care of us on a cold night where we would have drank or eaten anything sat in front of us yet it was the BEST meal we've had in so long! The drinks were outstanding, made with love and well sized. Micheladas life changing. The music and crowd showed that this place is a neighborhood favorite without it being crowded even at peak hours on a Thursday. The food was truly worth a pilgrimage for. First of all, fix the door - it was freezing in the restaurant because the doors don't automatically close. Ordered a cucumber margarita - first taste was a mouthful of salt which apparently had landed at the bottom of the glass and the bartender didn't bother to remove it before making the margarita. On top of that, it was one of the weakest margaritas I've ever had. We were there just before 3PM and we were given a delicious bowl of soup - when I asked for chips and salsa, we were told that we got the soup instead - that they only serve chips and salsa after 3PM - We were there way past 3 pm and never saw anyone getting chips and salsa...What Mexican restaurant doesn't give you chips and salsa. We had the Enchiladas suizas with beans and green rice. The food was slow coming out but pretty good, but one plate was hot and the other was lukewarm at best. Hopefully they can get it together so people can actually enjoy the food . read more

Authentic Mexican with a great atmosphere. Wait staff was excellent and food was outstanding.

Please do not eat here. The food is weird and overpriced. The people who work there are very poor neighbors. They literally leave their cars in the building's standing zone all day every day leaving the people in the building to have to park in the fire lane or traffic lane to unload groceries, etc. There is no place to load older and disabled people. read more

Was there for a late lunch today. Tacos were very good. Service was good. Rice needed more seasoning. Just a little perplexed that they have a bar and were unable to make any mixed drinks. Was told that none of the mixed drinks were available. I looked out the window at the people eating outside and 2 (same table) were drinking margaritas. Poor job in the waiting list i was waiting over 30 minutes to be seated,i was next to be seated and i seen that a table was leaving they had told me i was up next as soon as they cleaned the table off i was going to be seated,but i noticed a young lady server sat her friends in the table that i was suppose to be seated at i was furious at the fact that i was waiting already for almost 1hr at that point, just so a server can sit her friends down. read more

We have visited Senoritas twice now. Food was truly outstanding both times! Fabulous margaritas, guacamole, and enchiladas suizas!!! The only issue we had was that the music was very loud. It made it hard to have a conversation and we were sitting close to each other. Maybe we were seated close to a speaker? We asked our waitress, who was lovely, if she could turn it down a tad. (There was only one other couple in the restaurant) She did, and it was so much easier to talk. But then it got turned back up after a few minutes. She said the manager turned it back up. We finished eating quickly and then left. It feels bad that such a good restaurant food-wise, has to make it so hard for people to converse because of the volume of the music. read more

Surprisingly great place. Nice and cozy inside, but I was getting takeout and Was greeted by a friendly and efficient fashion. We will be back to experience on site dining. Miles above Flacos, who seems to have jumped the shark, and a bonus is they're the closest place to our apartment (except the Thai place that I try to ignore.). The guac and chips were amazing. So fresh with lots of veggies and mixed chips. We had the flautas and the empanadas. Both were flavorful and although not vegetarian were packed with fresh veggies. Did I mention that everything was fresh and tasty with a nice hit of spice. A great addition to the neighborhood, we're getting a little dining row, finally. read more

My wife and I just got back to the apartment after having an early dinner at Senorita's on Dearborn. First the vibe/decor of the restaurant is very cool, Day of the Dead art, other interesting Mexican decorations (not cheesy), interesting light fixtures, white table clothes, very comfotable seating...... Next food and drink, we each had a couple of traditional Margaritas, absolutely delicious, tamales (not traditional) for our appetizer and presentation was spot on, then my wife had Carne Asada which was outstanding and done perfectly medium rare with a nice char flavor, I had the Chicken Enchiladas Suizas with the Red sauce which added a nice little kick (not overwhelming the flavor of the dish), rice was green (a little different but was good tasting) also the tortillas on side were an orangish color. The presentation on the plate with all the different colors--very artsy but the taste of the food was not compromised. Finally Allen/Alan (spelling?) GM and bartender was awesome. Way above the "Fast Food" like Mexican joints already in the neighborhood and we don't have to drive "all" the way to Pilsen.. read more

I don't often leave reviews but my experience was so bad it is worth sharing. This is for South Loop location. It took well over half an hour to order drinks, then our ap came at least 10 minutes before the drinks. Then waitress disappeared and never came to take our order. we had to flag down the guy clearing tables to send her out, which then still took another 10 minutes. Finally ordered and got our food and it was nothing special. My friend asked for not spicy sauce which she received. She flagged down the guy clearing tables again because waitress was nowhere to be found, his response was walking away and then glaring at her. She ended up picking around in her food trying to find edible bits. We each spent $60 for over a 3 hour dinner because the service was so slow and terrible. I have never been more annoyed by a dining experience or money spent. I would give 0 stars if I could. Truly terrible experience. The margaritas also tasted like cough syrup. read more
