I can't say enough amazing things about Senses Nails & Spa and their staff! They are incredibly professional and deliver what I ask --and more. I'm very particular about what I want, and this is the only place that truly gets it right. I'm always happy with my nails when I leave! I tend to have short, stubby fingers, so I prefer short nails with a touch of sophistication--casual, but elegant. While color selection is important, I must admit, I do not pick the best color, I am still working on getting it right. But the shape matters most to me. I go with a coffin shape, with soft rounded edges that head up up (not down). We're almost there, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Know what you want, ask for it and they will deliver. Got the worst gel pedicure here. She cut my cuticles, cut hangnails, SPRAYED ALCOHOL & proceeded to file over my cuticles cause she couldn't properly paint my nails. Keep in mind this is painful!! The worst part was, after she was done, the polish lifted from all edges... I don't know if it was cause the polish hadn't cured? She also keeps removing polish with her LONG NAIL LOL like a brush w/ acetone would be less painful & more sanitary? She redid them for me but I fear there's not enough curing time & painting/curing outside the nail causes lifting? NOT WORTH $50 read more

This review is based on my experience with the nail shop owner who I will refer to as "owner." I went in for a gel shellac set, expecting a professional experience, but unfortunately, it was anything but that. The owner assured me they were available, so I went in. The owner started by filing down my nails with an electric machine instead of using the usual acetone soak-off method. The machine filing was painful, and I even pulled my hand away, saying "ouch" because it burned so badly. I told the owner that it hurt, but she only slightly lowered the machine's speed and continued filing my nails aggressively. I asked her why she didn't use acetone to remove the old shellac, and she finally switched to it, but by then, the damage was done. Within just a few days, my nails began breaking off painfully in the middle, causing bleeding and constant soreness. Every single nail eventually broke, and they were left paper-thin, making even the simplest tasks, like washing my hair or tying my shoes, excruciating. It will take months for my natural nails to recover. When I called to explain the pain and damage caused, the owner showed no empathy and took no responsibility for my experience. I asked if she could at least remove the remaining shellac, which she agreed to do--but when I arrived, the owner barely acknowledged my pain and insisted on charging me $10 for the removal. I paid the $10 for the removal, but will never go back. I expected a safe, professional experience and instead received painful, damaging service with zero accountability from the staff. If you value the health of your nails, please think twice before coming here. read more

Do not come here if you care about your nail health. I came in for a gel manicure. Instead of soaking the old gel and then gently scraping it off (like every other salon I've been to), they use an electric file to sand off the old gel. In doing so comes off several layers of nail, leaving my nails paper thin. In just a week, I had 5 nails break when I usually never break a nail. I had to cut them all the way down since they tore at the bottom. Super annoyed. Will never go back. read more

After coming here for many years I have to say their service has severely declined in the last year. I made an appointment for 1PM for an acrylic fill and 2 pedicures. Everything started out fine until my nail tech left to do someone else's nails half way through. She filed down my nails and put a layer of acrylic on and then walked away with the acrylic still uneven and on my skin. Once my pedicure was done, I was told to wait about 20 minutes before my tech was available to finish my nails... I understand that scheduling can be difficult but it is very unprofessional to leave a client with unfinished nails and make them wait especially when they made an appointment, we also have a schedule we need to keep. I would have appreciated at least a heads up that there was not enough time. Unfortunate because I loved coming here! read more

Nice ladies but they did not do a great job. Removal of my old gel made me cringe - they thinned my nails with the tool (not sure what it's called) instead of soaking and filing off the gel. It was so uncomfortable and she didn't even completely take off the old gel polish before putting the new one on. While she was cutting my cuticles, she gave me a cut that stung for a couple of days. Applying the polish was a mess - it was lumpy, had bubbles, and not neat. She even forgot the top coat on my left hand and I had to remind her to put it on. My nails are already peeling by Thursday and I had to get them redone at another salon. $35 is a good price for gel but I won't be back. read more

Don't come here. My manicure and pedicure experience were both bad. Manicure - $50 for ombré nails and they don't even touch your cuticles. The woman also cut me twice. I told her several times they're too long. She was so annoyed when I asked her to cut them. She'd barely cut them and I'd still say they're too long. She didn't take her time at all. Pedicure - $20 all the women that do the pedicures look miserable. They wont separate your toes and one of my nails is already messed up. The woman also didn't finish removing my previous color. I was contemplating whether to post a negative review or not since it's a small nail salon. But, my left hand has been in pain since last night. I need to warn others if you are planning to go there. I went there yesterday as they open till 8pm. Two older ladies were helping me with my gel mani and regular pedi. The pedi lady is pleasant and did an ok job. The mani lady is the worst nail tech I have ever met. She bought a bowl for me to soak my nails. I soaked it in less than 15 seconds, she pulled my hands out to proceed to shape my nails. That's the first red flag Then, she pulled out an electric nail drill to file my natural nails? I was shocked as I have never been "filed" with an electric drill on my natural nails. I could understand if I have gel polish or acrylic nails on, but I have absolutely nothing on my nails. Not even clear polish! That's the second red flag . I thought I should just trust the process and didn't say anything. She barely put any cuticles softener on my nails and proceeded to clean my cuticles with the drill again!! That's the third red flag . Again, I am hoping she knows what she is doing and hope for the best. She then proceeded with the gel application. After the first coat, I knew she is not a nail tech as it's extremely horrible. She saw me looking at my nails closely, she said, "It's nice, right?" I said, "no, it's horrible. Do you see how bad it looks?" The younger lady who sat at the corner looked up and talked to my mani nail tech in their language, she came up and looked at my nails. I know the younger lady speaks fluent English, so I told her this can't be it. It's so bad. She then talked to my nail tech some more in their local language. I have no idea what they are saying. But, the younger lady seems to be mad at my nail tech. Anyhow, my nail tech started to file my left hand very aggressively as she tried to get rid of all of the spillover gel out of my nail bed. It's so painful that I have to tell her to stop. You know what she said, "It's ok!" And give me a dismissive look. What the heck?!?! I looked at the younger lady and told her, "That's not ok! It hurts!!" Honestly, I am just shocked how could this be happening? I want to get out of the salon ASAP. At the same time, I am thinking how could she be so irresponsible? Anyhow, the mani nail tech stopped and proceed to do my pedi. The younger lady came over to finish up my gel mani. Again, she uses the drill to file my gel polish as it's all bumpy. She sort of "rescued" it at best she could. My left hand is extremely tender as the older lady did a horrible job. I have been putting cortisone on my cuticles as I am worried about infection. When I left, the younger lady is very apologetic. I learned her name is Tina and I see she has clients waiting for her only. I think if you are brave enough to go to this salon, you should absolutely ask for Tina. Otherwise, I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Super aggressive nail tech who drilled my old gel polish off instead of soaking it off. Also, they used the same nail clippers and dirty tools from the girl beside me that had appeared to have horrific nail fungus. I told her not to cut my nails and to just put the gel from how disgusted I was. A few days later my nail broke horizontally from the damaged nail bed from her aggressively drilling my toe nails. I work 9-5 Monday through Friday. I go to the gym four days a week. On my days off I am I'm not in the area. I can't find a consistent nail salon that is open late, for days I get off work. Are you like me? I discovered Senses through yelp and it's very difficult to find a good nail technician in the area and open late! I made an appointment with Holly and a pedicure as well. The pedicure was really good itself but the polish didn't last too long but my nails were very nice! Holly on the OTHER HAND (hahahahahaha), is great! She is very good with designs and details and shapes time to the Gods. The only downfall is that they take a while, I can get there @7 and won't leave until 9:30. But I also do enjoy that they focus on how I want my nails but if you're in a rush, this is not the place to go. I thoroughly have found my place! They have a parking lot but 5% off if you pay with cash. You do get a discount when paying with cash! read more

I came here for my wedding manicure and honestly left with the worst manicure I've ever had. I've gotten numerous manicures and while I understand they won't always be perfect, this place was simply unacceptable. They were incredibly rushed and did not take care to do anything properly. My ENTIRE manicure was finished in less than 8 minutes because they didn't soak my hands or remove any cuticles and went straight into filing for a gel manicure. I asked about extensions to add to my nail length and they dismissed me multiple times, saying no I don't need it. Well, I did since I had broken a few nails and wanted to ensure they were the same length as the others. I tried my best to communicate what I was looking for but it was nearly impossible because not only did they not speak English, but they were also dismissive and reluctant to help, as if understanding what I wanted and was paying for was somehow a massive inconvenience. I ended up going with what the tech said and it was a mistake. They finished my gel nails in less than five minutes: the polish was thick, uneven, and lumpy. I asked for painted strokes on each nail and y'all.... Sigh. It was so messy they should be embarrassed. After the top coat they immediately moved me to what amounted to a chair next to their dusty storage area so they could free up the chair. Someone who obviously was not a nail technician since they had the roughest hands gave me a hand massage. This was pretty unprofessional since it's obviously not part of their job and I also didn't pay for a hand massage from the handy man... On top of that.. the ceiling was leaking water onto my chair the whole time. I am just so confused. I really don't understand how this place got 4 stars. The work is sloppy at best, the attitude is unprofessional. I nearly took the nails off immediately after it was such an awful job. read more

I've been here several times and I am rarely disappointed. I've gotten white and pink ombre powder nails done here too and got many compliments on it. This time I went to get a gel mani with design and a gel pedi and I was over the moon with the results. It was almost exactly the same as the inspiration picture I showed my nail tech. They have plenty of on trend colors to choose from which I was very thankful because I was looking for a specific shade of green and they had plenty to choose from. They are a little brisk especially if they are busy but that is fine. It's best to be on time to your appointment because they try to be timely for their customers which is very thoughtful. Super hit or miss here... more miss =\ The two young ladies do nails VERY nicely! If you get any of the older ladies to do your pedi, it does not end up well. They don't shape or cut the toes nicely, they miss nail coverage with the nail polish, the top coat doesn't fully cover the nail polish, etc =\ I literally had to go home and touch up the pedi because I was embarrassed to show my feet at home. Designs are also a hit or miss. They try their best, but that also means "their best" is not really the correct way. I got rhinestones one time and they popped off the next day. They just super glued them on to my nails. I thought that was normal until I got them again and my new salon def did not just use super glue for the application. Re: appointments... you can call to schedule an appointment but it doesn't mean anything. This can be super frustrating when you're on a tight schedule. I called to schedule a 1pm appointment. I get there at 1pm, they ask if I can come back in 1 hour. Hmmm I guess. I come back an hour later but I see they just sat someone new so they say "30 more minutes." This has happened to me SEVERAL times in a row on different days. read more

I lloved this place and Tina but the last time i was there she ripped my old acrylic off with a nail tip and tore the entire nail bed off. Blood was all over and then she asked me if it hurt. Of course it hurt are you kidding me. I'd always gone here since she shapes nails great but the lack of doing things the right way and cutting corners and dirty files and cuticle cutters was the last straw for me. I'm disappointed but I can't go back here. She tried to cut what was left of my nail with a used cuticle cutter that wasn't sterilized. I'm writing this to let others know to make sure your nail tech respects your nails, your hands and to speak up when you see something like this happening. I've spent a lot of time here over the years and disappointed and sad this happened but others should be aware. Your nail tech should respect your nails and your hands. Like someone previously said, it started off great. The ladies were very welcoming and accommodating for a walk-in such as myself. They offered water and were very chatty with the guests. The prep work was very meticulous. I've never seen my cuticles more clean. I had three of the women working on my nails. They gave me long leg and hand massages (soooo niiiice!) However, things that went awry- my fingernails were cut too short (shellac paint job wasn't bad at all- if my nails weren't so short, they'd look amazing!), my French pedi would've looked amazing (as they originally had before she decided to take a break so that another woman could paint my fingernails) had she not over layered the white tips and made them clumpy looking. In general, it's all good. But I may not come back here again because $60 total was very pricey. So sad. I really wanted to like it too. read more

My friend made an appointment for 2 acrylic full sets for 12 pm, but when we got there only 1 nail tech was available so to our dismay, we couldn't get our nails done at the same time. Truthfully, we didn't really mind until the filing started. I've gone to various nail salons and it's been a LONG time since I've felt this much pain and sensitivity in my nails so I felt the need to say something. My nail tech was aggressive with her e-file and cut me on two of my fingers (which ended up bleeding). On top of the cuts, my nails are now very sensitive to any pressure applied anywhere on my fingers, especially the sides which are very sensitive. I get that mistakes happen and maybe she was in a hurry to get the both of us done fast in case she had an appointment right after, but if you're going to cause pain to the point where both me and my friend get cut, then there should at least some acknowledgement. After washing my hands, i sprayed hand sanitizer on my cuticles to make sure I wouldnt get an infection. I'm giving 2 stars because the nails still turned out great for $40 with gel polish. She listened well when I asked for a narrow coffin and also the acrylic isn't super thick. read more

Tina knows her sh*t. She's done my nails twice so far, and she's given me what I wanted. She's fast and efficient. I was a little bummed today bc she didn't start my nails until 30min after my appointment (she was working on someone else's nails). I had somewhere to be, so she was definitely rushing and although my nails still turned out really nice, she did leave me with messy fingers from the acrylic. It's going to take some soaking and scrubbing to get that sh*t off, BUT my nails look good so I'll try to convince myself it's worth it. Going to give her a few more tries and hope that she cleans up my nails and fingers next time. DO NOT get a pedicure here. The lady who started mine today was older and I swear she needed to be at home watching her grandkids instead of attempting to give pedicures. I always get gel pedis, so I generally get them done every 4 weeks. When she started using her tools, she wasn't cutting anything off or getting anything out. She was extremely slow and almost scared to use her tools. Not my thing, really. So I had to tell Tina that I needed someone else to complete it. She had no issues and assigned another lady, also older. She was A LITTLE better, but not much different. I honestly don't think these ladies are certified to do this. The skin around my toes has dried up, white color gel. The actual pedicure was less than mediocre and let's just say I won't be getting another pedicure here again. I went to this nail salon thinking it would be good based on the ratings. Once I got there they carelessly did my nails in the the chair and cut my skin around my nail with the grinder while I was getting dip powder on my nails because they wanted to rush. A week later my skin has not healed and keeps hitting everything. My dip powder started lifting so I took it off. I have never had this happen to me at a nail shop nor have I experienced cuts around my nail bed. Had they of taken their time and done things the right way I wouldn't be experiencing this pain in my finger. Also I gave them a tip because I'm too damn nice!! I had high hopes for this place. I get the fact that COVID has interrupted business and they want to get as many costumers as they can but doing a half ass job is not going to keep you gaining costumers at the end of the day when it's over. read more

I decided to bite the bullet and get a pedicure. I'm not sure who I came to, but she was pretty great actually! I had like, injured the side of my toe, and I let her know first thing, please don't file that side, I already like, shaped them on my own, so if you can just leave my big toe - thanks. She did a pretty good job of avoiding it. We weren't rushed. We made an early afternoon appointment. She let us know they had something later so suggested a earlier time, which was fine for us. I brought my friend and we got to sit next to each other and chat. I have no doubt that if I came alone, my pedicurist would have been social with me as well. We didnt really get presented with different tiered options. I think they just have 1 now, or you have to specifically request another. They have changed owners a few times in recent months, so older patrons, they might not have the same services. Ours came with a massage, hot stones, and moisturizing, as well as the normal pedicure services. The only thing was that my toes from one foot to another weren't the same shape and if anything was a bit crooked. The paint job was fine, and I haven't had them chip (it's been about 2 weeks) but I do wish she had cleaned up some of the dead skin a little better Theyre really good about getting you quick appointments so def make one! read more

Very nice and clean shop! Sadly, there was only two people working when I went in on a Monday afternoon. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get a gel manicure and pedicure. There was people waiting and they were al constantly complaining about the wait. The ladies took their time and didn't once rush. They were also super apologetic about the customers having to wait. I paid $70 for both. As you can see from the attached photos however, the lady who did my manicure cut off a bit too much of my cuticles so they're still inflamed and irritated 3 days later. I don't know if I'd give this shop another go since there's just so many shops in the area but if you have the time, this is a good shop to give a chance.
