Best service by far. The whole presentation was fantastic. I used their service for my wife's birthday, and she had no idea. We were all in the back watching the NFL Super Bowl, and when we walked to the front, Senshi and their team had already set up everything--tables, play, utensils, chairs, etc. Again, amazing service--easy to communicate, easy to book, no complaints whatsoever. Thanks again, you guys, for making my wife's birthday memorable.

    Setting up for the party

Turned 70 yesterday and wanted to do a small backyard party. We decided on teppan yaki. The entire process of menu selection, logistics and execution was painless, effortless and smooth. Vincente and crew showed up on time, in great spirits and ready for a party. Set up was smooth converting the backyard into a teppan station. The festive decor in red black and gold added to the occasion and elevated the party's overall vibe. We had the expected onion volcano, choo choo train and egg 'rolls' but the difference was the execution by the chef. Outstanding!!!. We ordered a variety of proteins off the basic menu. Steak, chicken and salmon. The chef asked the people eating steak for their doneness preference and then nailed it to everyone's liking. The rice and vegetables were cooked perfectly but the edamame stole the whole show. Spicy, garlicky and tender with firm peas inside. Love, love, love it! Most of us had leftovers to take for next day lunch. Quite the value all around. We are trying to find the next occasion to do it again! Thank you Vincent. We will make sure to ask for you again!

Miso Soup was clear, with onions and beef broth but no mushrooms. Our grill master made a bountiful batch of egg-added Fried Rice. Of more importance, he cooked melt-in-your-mouth medium rare Filet Mignon. Noodles and grilled vegetables were in plentiful supply. And while the grill master only tossed small chunks of corn on the cob instead of shrimp toward diners' mouths, some grilled shrimps were loaded onto plates by the grill master's spatula. And food portions were generous. The meal generally went smoothly, but our waitress was not very attentive. I had to ask four times for knives before receiving them. Our grill master had good knife skills and put on a pretty good understated cooking show, including fashioning and lighting an Onion Volcano that ultimately looked like a fire-breathing dragon. This was a very good dining experience overall.

I had another cheap veggie roll on the same plate 1/2 eaten than of course I now felt uncomfortable eating. They only took the roll with the plastic off the tab. I had to explain to the manager why I did not feel comfortable eating the second 1/2 of my roll. He explained and didn't care and said it's policy. Maybe their policy should be not losing a customer over a $7.50 roll. LOL This place is so wanna be LA and not in a good way. Save yourself the high prices they charge and poor service and go to R91. I've never had a bad experience there, ever, after years.

Our anticipation for a special family meal was unfortunately tempered by several service issues that we believe warrant your attention. Upon being seated, our party experienced a significant delay of approximately forty-five minutes before a chef was assigned to our table to commence the cooking process. This initial wait was further compounded when, upon the chef's eventual arrival, it became apparent that he did not have all the necessary ingredients readily available to prepare the meals for our group of eight, causing additional minor delays. Despite these operational challenges, we were pleased to observe a notable improvement in our dining experience once the chef began cooking and actively engaging with our table. The quality of the cuisine was exceptional, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the delicious food prepared. However, we must also highlight a comfort issue that affected our overall experience. The air conditioning system appeared to be insufficient in counteracting the considerable heat generated by the hibachi cooking tables, leading to a somewhat uncomfortably warm environment throughout our meal. We trust this feedback will be valuable in identifying areas for improvement to ensure a more consistently seamless and comfortable dining experience for your future patrons. Music was playing at a good level. Menu features lots of options. Some of us were craving sushi and the other half had bowls (beef bulgogi, spicy pork bowl, orange chicken). Our meals were served around the same time and waiters regularly checked on our refills and if we needed anything. At one point, music turned loud and lights flashed, to celebrate someone's bday so something to be aware of that they do. Overall, our dining experience was satisfying. I was a big fan of the salmon carpaccio and the super sexy bowl. The fish tasted fresh and portions are large so you get your moneys worth. My companion did mention that their bulgogi had more onion than meat which was visibly notable. Definitely aim to visit again and will recommend this spot to others.

They have an impressive menu, very diverse. I like that you can order either large sushi rolls, or the smaller, Happy Hour, 5 pc. size so you can try more and not hate yourself as much when you waddle out the door. The rolls are beautifully made, made with very fresh ingredients, the ratio of rice to filling is perfect (i.e. not too much rice), and the rice is nicely flavored. Their tempura has great flavor, the poke salad is outstanding, the miso soup is rich, not watered down, but the biggest "prize" IMHO is the fish collar (kama), either salmon or hamachi. Here is where you separate the men from the boys. They do not sell old kama that has come from a food supplier's bag, frozen. They only use fresh, the same quality as their sushi, because it comes from the same whole fish they have selected to filet for sushi. Taste it and you know you have hit the jackpot. Before they broil it, they simply slather Japanese mayo on it and salt & pepper. There is something about the mayo that makes it sing a whole new tune. The kama is moist, tender, and comes with their tasty, house ponzu sauce. It's a real treat. Bonus points for being very reasonably priced relative to other sushi houses and they tend to be larger as well. To take advantage of the Happy Hour menu, it is available every day of the week. Monday through Thursday until 7pm, Friday through Sunday until 5 pm. It's an abbreviated menu but has great choices, fairly priced. Their service is tops, seating is limited (probably not more than 40), the interior is warm and quaint, and parking is no problem. And don't forget to respond to their friendly farewell with a duplicate, heartfelt "See you tomorrow" as you leave! Enjoy!
