DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!! They will bump your rent a 100 dollars or more every year as a loyal customer but give new customers lower rates than you. This facility is very nice, clean, and the amenities (washbay/rv dump station, propane, and ice machine) are great but my frustrations are growing. First, the rates get jacked up every year at the same time. They have gone up 130% equaling a $50/month increase over the past 3 years I have been here. I am not including the discounted introductory rate they gave me when I first signed up for the first few months which would have made the increase a lot higher. I called the office last year to address my concerns and all that I was told was "Yeah, the rates will always increase every year but we don't have anything to do with it." Second, the RV/boat wash bay and dump station is great. The problem is, it is frequently tied up with people washing and detailing their cars in it. This is very frustrating when you return with your RV from a camping trip and you need to use it but someone is spending 45 minutes detailing their car. Even people with RVs and boats frequently do not abide by the 15 minute rule. It would be very beneficial to all customers here if a large sign was posted stating the bay is meant for RVs/boats and to limit your time to 15 minutes. read more

We have rented space from Sentinel twice and will do so in the future if needs arise. Their facility has everything we needed to clean, vacuum and dump our rv trailer. They even have a very clean restroom for customer use. Thank you Timothy for working with us on a somewhat odd situation. We have stored our RV at another facility near Tualatin for a while before we found Sentinel, we will not use that facility ever again. I would give you 10 stars if I could read more

Big chain, wouldn't give me simple price info. tying to get my location so they could sell me on another place in their chain. What with the internet and all, I can see in a second where storage units are. I was very polite, when I avoided the sales pitch she hung up on me. It's pretty simple: size of unit, cost , location. This place is extremely well run with helpful, cheerful, professional staff! We rented multiple units at various facilties to maximize on the "move in specials". I wish we hadn't wasted our time or money on units elswhere! It would have been worth every extra penny to store everything here for the positive vibe alone. Five star review all day long! I stored my houseful of belongs here for several months while I searched for a house to purchase after mine sold quicker than I had anticipated. It was super convenient and only a few blocks from my apartment where I was renting a little studio In the interim. It worked out great. I could pop in and out and get things I needed whenever I wanted to. It felt safe and secure even in the evenings which is when I usually dropped by. My reason for the Five Star review however is really because the day I moved in, right at closing time.....my stuff would not all fit in the unit I had rented and the very helpful staff came out in the rain and helped me find a second unit right away. No red tape at a moment when I was overwhelmed from my move and paying movers 109.00 an hour! Great place, I just moved up to Oregon and I needed a decent storage space. I rented a 10x5 in the big location on Langer. I didnt really need it after a couple months, but the space for the price is worth it for the amenities and it's clean. The people storing near me are nice and the staff has been great so far. Make sure you remember the spot number. I forgot mine and was trying to open the wrong door when someone came up and said uhhh that's not your unit. Oops. Would not recommend this storage facility. I was a customer for just over 1 year renting an outdoor covered storage spot for my boat. On the anniversary of my contract my rates were going to be increased from $110 to $140 per month. I spoke to the manager to complain about the almost 40% increase and was told that they do not deal with pricing, and that I would have to email my concern to their main office. They did respond to my email and were able to adjust the rate increase to $125 per month. After paying the increased rate for 3 months I decided to move out. I paid the full months rent for sept, however I vacated on the 11th. When I went to the office to cancel the contract I was told that they could not refund the remainder of the months rent. I was told to file grievance with their main office, but shouldn't expect any money back! read more

I've been renting from Sentinel for several years now. I've never had any issues with them. I've rented from other facilities but these guys have been the best. Always very helpful and if they say they are going to do something they follow through with it. Steve is a top notch employee and can be counted on. Prices are very competitive for the area. This place was great to us. We rented a 5x5 for about a year and a half. The place was always very clean and safe feeling. A few times we had some difficulties paying and they were very flexible and kind. The day we cleaned out they saw us on the video cameras taking our first trip of stuff and when we came back for the rest they had brought a cart for us! Idiots. Will not be a customer any longer. I should have 24/7 access to my stuff...that is what the code, security lights, and cameras are for. Locking me out at night is stupid and unacceptable. Also, just to be clear, this place is NOT locally owned, as much as they try to pretend to be. They claim "24 hours accessibility would compromise your high security standards", What a load of crap! You are located in Sherwood Oregon, directly across from the most popular part of town. It could not be a safer place, the police have nothing to do, and they are ALWAYS patrolling in your area. Your excuse is ridiculous and 10:00 is a stupid hour to close. Most self storage units do not have this practice. I bet you can't point to any previous instances of crime past this hour. There are many much more rural storage places in the area and they are in fact open 24/7, even while having much, much less security. I will happily become one of their customers. Obviously, they don't have a crime problem. Your "high standards" are completely made up by a paranoid person without any actual reasoning to go behind it. 6AM to 10PM is NOT some of the "longest hours around" as they claim, it is in fact some of the shortest because most places offer 24/7 access. They seem to raise my rent every few months without any heads up or warning or reason. They recently built a new facility across the street so seems that current customers are going to flip the bill for the fancy new storage facility with wine cellars and man caves. They even charged me a late fee when my credit card wasn't expired yet they said that my card was going to expire next month so charged me a late fee of $15 bucks and I had to pull teeth to get it reversed as they never even ran my card. Seems like this isn't a locally owned business as the employees don't care and much of the mandates seem to come from some corporate office out of state with zero communication of why they raised my rent 40% in two years. read more

A 1 star rating only because the rates have gone up so much. A year and a half ago I was paying $60 month. That same unit is now $89 a month. Almost a 50% increase. I don't know why but to the moneygrubber making all the money, FUCK YOU! read more
