My favorite 24/7 Korean BBQ. While they are slightly pricey, I love the flavor and quality of everything here. Like 678, they use charcoal to cook the meats which I feel imparts more flavor. I also love that they do not restrict themselves to only serving BBQ. They also offer several traditional dishes and stews, like bibimbap, doenjang jiggae, and my favorite -- nengmyun. They even have hot pot! But back to the BBQ... they have the most tender short ribs ever. This places isn't AYCE, but the portions are great for the price. They also have a huge variety of banchan -- probably the widest variety of the Korean BBQ places I frequent, and most traditional options. Their kimchi is crunchy, sour and spicy, and the rice is nice and sticky. Also, the servers are polite and fast. I walked here completely by chance while waiting for my car to be worked on at the Toyota dealership. I feel unbelievably lucky; the food was delicious. I gotta the traditional Galbi Tang. With respect to food, everything was great! I really liked the banchan and all the cuts of meat that we ordered. The ribeye steak, kalbi, and beef brisket were tender and succulent, grilled over charcoal. The pork belly at SeoRaBeol was more flavorful and crispier than its counterparts (Berkshire pig and honey pig) at Honey Pig. The kalbi here was semi-sweet and really tender. While SeoRaBeol did not provide rice cake sheets or daikon sheets for wrapping meat, it did provide the usual lettuce. Additionally, it provided a noticeably larger variety of banchan than other Korean barbecue restaurants in the Atlanta metro area. The mul naengmyeon was also good, cool and freshing, and not too spicy. Sikhye (sweet Korean rice drink) is served as a complimentary dessert...sometimes. Worst service ever. The waitress was rush even though the restaurant was very slow. The meat was too little for a combo of 5 people. The tofu soup was extra salty, I had to add half cup of my water into the soup but it was still salty. Both of the waitresses had attitude whenever we order more rice or side dishes. The price is ridiculous and the service is very bad. We couldn't talk to our friends because the waitress kept rushing us on ordering and they kept hovering around while we eat. The food here is probably a 4 out of 5 stars from the several times we have been. They have a good kalbi and cabbage soup, the banchan are all pretty good, and we've heard for some time that their yukgeajang is quite good as well. We have typically come here with my in-laws, and the food and service were quite good. More recently, we went with another young couple, along with both of our kids, and the service and food were both way lower than normal. Even ringing the buzzer we couldn't get fast service; ingredients were left out of dishes with no apologies, just comments that we were too picky; and overall no desire to be helpful. The clientele, I noticed on the more recent trip, is largely older, so I'm guessing perhaps because we're younger we were a lower priority? Regardless, we don't intend to go back after the last trip. Had we not had the more positive interactions prior to this I might not have thought as much about it, but this was a terrible experience when the area has so many other great Korean restaurants just a stone's throw away. read more

My friend recommended this place while I was in town visiting. For my first time visiting a Korean restaurant, I enjoyed the experience overall. Our waiter seemed to have trouble with English, so that made ordering our food a bit lengthy. Very nice staff, but our waiter didn't return to check on us after we received food. This place can be hit or miss, but they've got many traditional Korean dishes for very good prices. The bbq is quite good as they use wood charcoal which gives the meat a wonderful bbq flavor. The stone bowl bibimbap is good and comes sizzling hot. The regular bibimbap is also good. My usual choices are either the galbitang (short rib soup) or bibimbap. The short rib soup is hit or miss, but when it's good it can be the best value short rib soup out there. The service is hit or miss as well and pretty inconsistent. Another feature of Seo Ra Beol is its large event space. We've held and attended several events here and have been pleased with the price and service. For the price this place is absolutely attractive and makes it one of our frequent places to go to for Korean food, but the hit or miss nature of some of the food and service never makes this place a sure fire go to. read more

They also have a pretty expansive Banchan bar which is self serve which i thought was pretty cool since I could stuff myself with as much fish cake as I could handle. They have a number of all you can eat menu items which are very cheap for how much you can get. Don't forget to order the red sauce which goes great with everything! The first thing I noticed was a long piece of hair on the table and I was immediately turned off. My friend and I shared a short rib plate with the side dishes. The short ribs were pretty good but super greasy. Side dishes were good but the server was not available to give us refills that you normally get at Korean restaurants. First off, the AC in the non Korean-BBQ area was broken, and that is what we went for. The waitress/hostess instead of asking us if we wanted to be seated somewhere else, kept complaining about how hot it was. My mom asked them if we could sit on the Korean BBQ side b/c it was so hot, they said okay, but then again they should have asked us from the get go. The food They use a lot of MSG, which most Asian places do but, it was so much we could taste/smell it in the soups that we got. We also got the cold noodle soup dishes (bibig nangmyun), which was okay. The side dishes were also not my favorite here. The food was okay but there are so many other Korean places in Atlanta that it was not worth it. Maybe the Korean BBQ is better. I can start by saying that food quality here is far superior to another two Korean restaurant in the area. We had the spicy squid and the kalbi beef which was fantastic . Now the second time around the portion on the Kalbi beef was far less which I brought to their attention BUT nothing was done and simply ignored. We always order the chef's special which comes w a ribeye, pork belly, and marinated short ribs to go w the purple rice! They have a nice selection of beers and soju as well. I forgot to push post on this one. This is hands down one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Duluth. When I was pregnant, I craved yukgaejang from only this restaurant. Thankfully, they are open 24hrs so you can get your cravings satisfied around the clock. When you walk in, there will be areas to sit for ordering meat on the right, and everything else on the right. They also have rooms you can reserve for larger group dinners. The side dishes are delicious and unlimited. You can order food to-go as well. I have truly never had a bad experience here after frequenting the place for the past 7 years. When I'm back in Atlanta, I always have to stop in for my old favorites. If I ever bring friends who want to try Korean food, this place is high on my list. read more

We crammed 6 of us in a 5 seater and drove 30 minutes to Duluth. We were determined to get KBBQ in Atlanta before we left! This is not an AYCE place but that was fine with us. Not sure what we ordered but it was a meat set that was $99 and enough for 6 people plus panchan of course. The servers did all the grilling for us. The meat was definitely better quality than the AYCE places. We enjoyed everything! Maybe my standards are low (and we were delirious and hungry) but I really liked the meat. The atmosphere is very traditional. There were several other tables of customers. I could see that a lot of people order the hot stone dishes and soups.
