Lunch specials are fair at this authentic korean restaurant, and I'd recommend coming here for their meat. It's not your club esque scene with loud Kpop on speakers-this place had a korean traditional feel with a big punch in flavors of food. Yuk gae jang: flavor of soup was delicious. Generous amount of ingredients in the soup Chicken katsu: the chicken is crispy and delicious. The sauce complements the katsu so well. It comes with a side of soup, salad, and a piece of apple. Service was friendly and there's not just one server but multiple ladies who served my table. We came here for lunch, and I was excited to visit Seo Ra Beol, because i'd come here before, but forgot to write a review. Seo Ra Beol is a korean restaurant that serves korean bbq, but also serves other korean dishes as well, and they do it 24 hours a day! While you don't need a korean in your party to navigate your way to a meal, we had one in tow, so we were all set! We ordered two servings of the Boneless Prime short ribs ($38.99 each--they typically wont allow you to sit at the bbq tables with less than 2 servings) to split between three people, which was totally fine to split between three hungry people, unless you're starved...in which case, order more! Shortly after you order, staff brings red hot charcoal for table side grilling and they get to work. There were concerns about smelling like korean bbq after, and true enough, when you walk in, you DO smell that bbq smell in the air, but their fan/ventilation overhead units do a good, job, because none of us smelled of fried meat after. The meat was cooked well, not so chewy and the charcoal gave it a flavor that was slightly sweet, although in fairness that could've been a marinade I did not notice on the meat too. Generally, I enjoyed the quality of it and would happily order it again. It WAS good. If we left it at that, I would've walked away giving Seo Ra Beol 4 stars easily. But like all korean restaurants i've been to, banchan, or basically sides that accompany the main meal, are also part of the dining experience. If i'm being honest, i've had both better quality and better selections of banchan. Items that hit the table for us were a side salad, bean sprouts, pickled radish, kimchee, squid, sliced jalapeño, and a few other things. Of those, I really could only eat three of the banchan because of my seafood allergy. Not a Seo Ra Beol problem, but I've been able to eat more variety at other locations because the prep was different or there just were many more options (No japchae glass noodles???). It was a nice touch to end with a dessert in the form of a malted rice water (Sikhye, a sweet rice drink). It was sweet, cold, and cut through some of the heaviness of the bbq after the meal was over. First time experience and enjoyed it. Customer service was pretty standard, seating is split between grills and standard tables, both being able to seat several guests at a time. Parking also isn't an issue here with their nice sized lot. Getting in or out of the lot and onto Steve Reynolds is also easy peasy. All in all, Seo Ra Beol does a lot of things right. They're open at all times of the day, have decent quality meats and they have a nicely sized menu for those times when you don't want Korean bbq. With that said, they also come up light on a few things that are important to me too, like the banchan, the variety of them, and the prep of them. Knocking off a star because of sides may seem trivial, but in the area Seo Ra Beol is in, where korean bbq restaurants litter the area in all directions and are really GOOD restaurants, I would only really go back if others wanted to go...or it was 2am. Not a bad place for korean eats, and if you like 24 hr variety, especially late night, this may be your spot. read more

When I first saw reviews on here, I wasn't sure if my parents chose a decent place, ha. Parking is awesome. They have a huge lot. You'll find a spot easily -- even during a rush. Service - 5/5. The lady we had was very nice. But it does help we are Korean probably.... you know how Korean places are. :P Food came out quickly as well. Space - Pretty massive. They can handle a rush & be able to seat people quickly. Food: Galbi Tang here is SO good. They give a HUGE portion & the meat is delicious. I personally can't eat eggs so they took it out. Just add some of the red sauce to it and you're good to go. My mom said they had the best Galbi Tang in her opinion. I'm not too sure since I maybe eat it once a year -- and my mom makes it, lol. new management. it's bad. came with a large group for bbq bc they have private rooms. ordered galbi and asked if they comp'd the cold noodle (nengmyun). server said no, but she'd ask the owner. she came back to say they will do it for half portions this time. the dining experience wasn't pleasant, but at least the meat was tasty. one of the tables had issues with the grill so the meat didn't cook. we had to ask multiple times for additional items. but we understand; they are probably short staffed and we are a large group. we ended up cooking and cutting the meats ourselves. not that big of an issue. the bill came, and the "management" charged us for those cold noodles. had we known they were going to tack on the charges instead of comp'ing them, we would not have ordered them. additionally, those noodles were the worst tasting i've ever had. barely edible. the "management" who is supposedly the owner's daughter gave us an attitude and said no, they will not comp the noodles. we called over our server, and it seemed like there was miscommunication between them. they gave us a new check, but charging us partially for the cold noodles and with 18% tip added. the mandatory tip was not on the initial check. the server kept apologizing and said she'd cover the noodles. we didn't want to deal with it so we just paid the $450 bill. no apologies from the "manager." it was a bad experience overall. nobody from the group will ever visit this restaurant again, not with this change in ownership and management. read more

Oooh yikes, I'm never coming back here again. You will find better customer service at 3AM at a McDonald's drive-thru. Based on others' reviews and the fact that it's a 24/7 establishment, I expected the service to be lacking. But I didn't think it would be this disappointing. Came in at 11PM on a Saturday night with my mother. We were promptly seated in one of the private rooms and place our order. By the way, they don't serve steamed egg (gaeran-jjim) at night. Bummer. 15 minutes later, some customers were seated in the private room at the table next to us. This gave a little less privacy since the table is several inches apart from ours. They received their banchan before us though - I figured maybe it was a coincidence or their orders were simpler than ours but nope. There was a huge difference in service between us and the table next to us. Maybe it's because they're Korean customers but it's upsetting that the servers were shamelessly treating us differently from them and doing so right in front of our faces. If you can't use chopsticks or if you want ice water, don't even come here. I asked for TWO ice waters and a fork for my mother. Only got ONE ice water. Got the 2nd ice water on my third attempt but she gave me a dirty look. I never got the fork even though I asked 3 times. She would always quickly turn away as I was asking for something. Could barely get a sentence in. The server was so much more attentive to the table next to us. She would bring them whatever they asked for, refilled their banchan, brought their checks promptly, chatted with them, and visited their table numerous times but STILL failed to bring us what we asked for. She had to see us each and every time she entered the room to attend to the other table so was it really that hard to remember what we asked for? Food was okay. Seafood Bibimbap - we were told it had shrimp in it but it didn't. Lacking in salt. Also it doesn't come with an egg so be sure to specify if you want one. Beef Tofu Soup - Not on the menu but I requested it. Saddest tofu soup I ever got though, it was not bubbling. Does not come with an egg by the way. Tasted a little funky or gamey - probably because of the meat quality but overall okay. Banchan - it's okay. We got kimchi, kimchi radish, veggies, mashed potato, egg, and fishcake. The fishcake was the best. The egg tasted a little weird and was gray/blue at the bottom. Kimchi radish was okay until I bit into one that tasted spoiled. I had to spit it out. I almost never spit out food. I wasn't expecting the best food or best customer service. I would have come back had the service not been so poor. I had high hopes! But it wasn't great. I came here with 3 other friends at 3pm on a Monday. Strange time to eat lunch, I know. But that's exactly how you "beat" a lunch rush. Parking is spacious. Restaurant is spacious as well. It's also opened 24/7! We decided to do the menu and not bbq. I got the bibimbap. I felt like the bowl wasn't as hot as I would like.. tasted a little bland even after putting the red paste in. Decent banchan but I only picked at 2 of the selections.. I'm sure this restaurant has lots of potential to be great and serve a large number of people when needed. But I didn't love my experience there. I've always been around this awesome place for awhile and they never disappointed me. I come here just for 1 and only one dish "Gal Bi Tang". Galbitang is a clear soup made with beef short ribs. It's a hearty, nourishing soup with a delicate flavor.  Boil the ribs with Korean radish, onion, garlic, and ginger until fork tender. It is so soft and tender served with Korean clear noodle (just a few angel hair pieces of noodle) because they focused more on the beef itself. If you love ribs and hot soup, please make a visit to this place. The second dish is just regular beef fried rice but i guess they added a lot of butter to enhance the taste. Fried rice consists corns, eggs, carrots, peas, string beans, and proteins that you'd prefer. Moreover, you can dine in for Korean BBQ or just regular à la carte menu. It was midnight, and Breakers had a 30 minute wait with last call being close to our seating time. The restaurant is separated into two areas for dining and KBBQ. Of course, we were starving and opted for KBBQ. The food looked clean and properly handled, the one server was nice and was good at filling up our hot teas. The sides included spicy pickled daikon, potato salad, garlic/jalapeños, rice, salad, lettuce, and dipping sauces. We ordered the prime rib and pork belly, and OH! One star for opening 24 hours and one for the big shrimp in the seafood tofu soup which is rare. We went in on a Saturday night around 11pm. They were somewhat swamped and seemed under staffed, which we could understand, but the overall experience and food were just very mediocre. When we got in, we waited for a bit on the front before a staff asked if we were doing BBQ, which we said no, so she sat us on one of the 'private rooms' with 2 different table/party and gave us menus. Unfortunately, the other table was with few teenagers that were very loud, so we tried to go to the register and ask to be seated on the outside common area. But the staff looked irritated by our request and told us that the other table just paid and they will be leaving soon. Perhaps she was saving the other table for BBQ, but oh well, we tolerated it. When looking at the menu, we hoping for ones with pictures on it as they are shown on yelp, but we only got the ones with words on it. Not sure if they changed management or what. We tried to ask and see if they had picture menus, but no one acknowledged us, so we ended up looking at the pictures on Yelp, which was a bit irritated as we still weren't sure if they had all the food and is still under the same management or if they had only specific items during certain hours at night. Rang the bell once we were ready to place our order, no one came to us. So we rang again several times between few mins interval and finally a staff came and asked if we wanted tea or water. She then came back with the tea we have asked for and took our order, that was unfortunately the last time we ever saw her, not that anything happened to her, at least we hoped not, but she just never came back to check on us or refilled our tea. We ended up ordering a combo with beef ribs and seafood tofu soup, a beef tofu soup, and a porridge. The food took so long that we saw a busser brought a dirty dishes cart into the room to clean the other table, then the hostess sat another new party next to us. When the new party ordered, the hostess was asking if we are ready to order, which we responded that we have already placed our order and have been waiting on our food. That was not a good feeling until eventually when the food runner brought out our food in a cart with all the side dishes, we were more relieved. I know some restaurants bring side dishes with entrees instead of before, but kind of wish they would have brought out side dishes first instead of having us to wait for everything at the same time. There were only 5 side dishes for a table of 4 people, which we felt like they could have given us. We tried asking for more side dishes as the food runner put down the food, but she left so quickly after she placed the food on the table that we felt like we didn't want to be a bother. The food were pretty mediocre. The seafood soup has big shrimp, which was very nice. For some reason, the beef soup was half filled comparing to the seafood soup. The worst thing was probably the beef ribs, because they were COLD. They were probably waiting for all the food to be ready at the same time, as the porridge and the tofu soups were very hot, but again, cold beef ribs were very disappointing. Soon after, a manager came by and asked us about the situation, and all she said was, "That shouldn't be there.. Why is that there? Apparently this is THE Korean restaurant to go to because when I visited my relatives 10 years ago, they took me here and when I visited them two weeks ago, they took me here again...not that my relatives are Yelp savvy or anything but I assume they would take me to a good Korean restaurant. Anyways, it really is your standard "nice" Korean restaurant in the sense that they have a multitude of dishes including Korean bbq, and they also offer a ton of banchan (side dishes). We came here during lunch so they had a decent lunch menu. I should have gone with a bento box as it looked like a ton of food, but I was craving sullungtang (beef broth soup), so I went with that. It wasn't very good and it did not hit the spot. When the soup came out, it was lukewarm and I could tell it had been sitting out for a while because when I ate the noodles, they were super swollen and soft, the clear sign of sitting in warm water for too long. That pretty much ruined the dish for me. The beef in the soup was also not that great and the soup lacked flavor (yes I know you are supposed to put salt in it) but I felt I had to put way more than I usually do. It wasn't the worst I've had, but really it's hard to make horrible sullungtang but it was far from the best. I can see why people come here though. Seo Ra Beol is my favorite Korean BBQ spot in the Atlanta area. My girlfriend and I probably go once a month (sometimes more). They start off by giving you either hot tea or cold water. I recommend the hot tea. If you're in the mood for a drink, order a beer and/or a hot sake too. We always get the chef's special, which includes a ribeye, pork belly, and beef short ribs. It is so much meat that we never come close to finishing it. The kimchi is amazing. Make sure to ask for the purple rice too. You will leave more than a little full, and quite satisfied. read more

Why does this place only have 3.5 stars??? SeoRaBeol is my go to restaurant whenever I want to have quality, authentic Korean food that tastes like back home. Each and every time I come here the ladies treat me like family and hook me up with extra this and that when I tell them how delicious it is. It is located in its own separate building off of steve reynolds blvd behind the arbys off pleasant hill. I will say they need to update the interior a bit as the furniture and walls look a bit dated. The restaurant is divided into 2 parts: the bbq side and regular restaurant/a la carte side. You really cant go wrong with either side. The bbq- with alot of korean bbq spots opening in the area, its hard to tell what real bbq is like back home in Korea. Seorabeol is the closest you will get to authentic korean bbq. That is, meat served per serving, always with lettuce and green onion salad along with red bean paste and pepper paste, plus other sides. We absolutely love their marinated beef ribs, insanely tender and perfectly seasoned. I mean, it is on the pricy side (around 30/pp I think) and this is not an unlimited price. The marbling on the beef ribs are really beautiful and it tastes so yummy, you can tell they use high quality beef. The restaurant side - I really cant complain about a single dish Ive ordered from here. The sides are always a surprise to me as they often serve pretty pricy items such as marinated crab and oysters. And they refill them too! My personal favorite dish is the bibim nengmyun (buckwheat noodles with spicy sauce) combo paired with the marinated beef ribs. Can you tell I love their ribs? Lol. I have also tried their stews and my personal favorites are the gopchang jeongol (spicy intestine stew) and the yumsotang (goat soup), really cant go wrong with either! I love love this place alot. This is probably one of the worst restaurant experiences my fiancé and I have ever had. We have driven by this place multiple times and it has never really been packed. I had always been curious about it but hadn't heard anything too fabulous about it. Well the other night my fiancé and I were craving Korean food and this was the only place open at 1 am after he got off work. So to Seo Ra Beol we went! When we walked in the cashier was located off to the left. Straight ahead the seating areas were separated. Off to the right were the grills for Korean BBQ and off to the left was the regular seating. We were not greeted for a good 5 minutes and stood at the door awkwardly waiting for someone to finally seat us. We decided to sit on the grill side since we weren't really sure what was on the menu or what to order. It took at least 10 minutes for them to ask us if we wanted water or tea. There was barely anyone else in there. Only two other tables. To make matters worse they still brought us hot tea instead of water so we had to ask again for water which took even longer. Finally a lady came over to take our order after about 25 minutes. At this point I was annoyed and my fiancé really just wanted to leave because their menu was just a little more pricy for what we were expecting the quality of the food to be. We decided to share a dish like we do at most other tofu houses or Korean restaurants. We ordered the tofu soup and beef ribs combo for about $23 without tax. The waiter basically argued with us because she didn't want us to share. I'm sorry but this has never been a problem anywhere else... ever! We insisted on sharing. I specifically told her about 5 times that I did not want any tofu and that I wanted seafood soup. She tried to argue with me about the no tofu as well. After about the 6th time, she repeated the order back and seemed to understand. We waited about another 20 minutes before we got our food. What really upset me was that every other table was taken care of but we were not even asked if we needed anything else or given a water refill the entire time we waited. I saw our waitress bring out the side dishes. But instead of bringing them to our table ahead of the main course like she did for the other customers, she left them on a counter in the back where they prepare the drinks. The sides were sitting there for at least 20 minutes!What kind of customer service is that? Was she doing this on purpose so we would not get more sides? What gives? When the food came out my fiancé and I just gave each other the look. You know? That look like "what the blankety blank is this mess". The side items just looked bad. His beef looked over cooked and my soup had TOFU in it!!!!! Lord Jesus take the wheel. We were soooooooo annoyed. That's probably why our waitress took her butt extra fast to the back of the restaurant. She just knew she messed up. The kimchi was awful! The worst I have had. It was so dry and tasted like it was left out. The cucumbers looked so old and disgusting, I didn't even want to try them. The radishes were the only things that were slightly bearable. The beansprouts were off. They were not the move. The tofu soup was so watered down and had this gross after taste. There was so much tofu!!!! Like an overpowering amount of tofu that I had to pick out. Yuck! My fiancé's beef was nothing special, definitely over cooked. The waitress did not come over until we had to flag her down and ask for the check. We did NOT tip. My fiancé and I always tip, but not this time. The service was horrid and the food was terrible. I would never come back and would not even think about recommending it to anyone. Now the story is not over yet y'all. As my fiancé and I were getting into the car, the other waitress runs out of the restaurant and flags us down to ask why we didn't tip. We could have just drove off because it was sooooo RUDE to flag us down in front of other customers. But we went over and kindly explained that the service was terrible the food was awful so we would not be tippling or returning. I also talked to my friend after this and she said she experienced the same thing when she came here. The service and food were bad so she did not tip and the waitress tried to flag her down as well. This is not how you run a business. People do not tip when the service is terrible. That is an indication that they should make a change. If this has happened more then once then they are obviously not learning from it. Please do not waste your time and come to this place. You will be severely disappointed. If you care about restaurant over charging then this is a place that isn't good for you. Not only are they not that special in spice ( don't get me wrong I appreciate good food) but this is a literal slap to the American face. They have marked up their priced on low quality meat that you can get anywhere and the service is bad to all non Koreans.!!! As a local living in city with all this pandemic charging 30 for 2 slices for short ribs and 26 for pork belly is insane and honestly don't really care for business who put profit over logic. It has a huge parking lot with tons of space. The restaurant itself is also pretty spacious and there wasn't a wait today (Saturday night). They use charcoal cookers that don't get all nasty like the ones at Iron Age. Service is also great - they come around often and we never ran out of food. The least stressful KBBQ process ever. The overhead ventilation was also decent and I didn't smell as bad as I did coming out of 678. Banchan consisted of bean sprouts, kimchi, radish, and some greens, among other things. We got a couple of the beef combos ($100), but what stood out to me the most was the amazing flavorful/tender galbi. SO GOOD. The pork belly was decent, but nothing can beat Breakers pork belly in my opinion. The galbi though....a must get. The naengmyun here was delicious! The noodles weren't too chewy and were of perfect consistency. The broth also came not-too-sour so you could adjust your own vinegar level. You are also presented with the traditional hot mustard. Out of the many naengmyuns I've had in Metro Atlanta lately, I think this one currently sits at the top of the list. Perfect on a 95 degree temperature summer day. Definitely not your cheapest Korean BBQ joint, but definitely a very surprising top 3 ranking (IMO) for Korean places I've had in the Duluth area. read more

Seo ra beol is a hit or miss. Sometimes they have really good quality meat and sometimes it's not so great at all. I almost always order the prime short rib. I've tried their pork belly and it's just ok. Their portions have significantly become smaller as well. I keep coming back because they have charcoal unlike other kbbq electric grills. They were also kind enough to half the bibim naengmyun so that I could share it. I also really enjoyed the soybean paste soup. It was flavorful and spicy! read more

This is my new found spot for good Korean Food 24 hours a day; perfect for the late night diner like myself. I've been here several times, and each time I come there seem to be a good number of non-Korean customers here, though I feel the ambiance is geared mainly towards Korean speaking people. My suggestion : order kalbi, naengmyun (cold buckwheat noodles), sahm gyub sahl. Their serving sizes for naengmyung are ginormous, but the portions for meat are decent, though not overly large. Price wise, look to spend over $20 if you're getting a meat dish. If you come in the day time, they have a pretty good special of kalbi, sahm gyub sahl, and soju for $30, which could easily be shared b/w 2-3 people. My wife tells me the owner of this restaurant is the same owner as Han Il Kwan on Buford Hwy, though we both prefer the food here over Han Il Kwan. I came here with a date, on a late thursday night at around 1:00 am. I hear that this place gets packed after the clubbers are out at around 3:00 am since this is one of the only other places that are 24 hours besides waffle crib. Service: No hostess, but one lady server late at night. And another lady being the food runner. The place only had 2 other parties when we came in. One couple at the "bbq" side, and a part of four or more in the general menu side. It took a minute or two for the server to greet us and have us seated. Along with the menu's, she handed us both waters to start off with. You have to flag her down for refills on water though. Food: We ordered the Tofu Soup with shrimp (sans spicy) , Gal Bi Gui (short ribs), and Hae Mul Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap. * Banchan: I'll have to come back with someone Korean or very familiar with the names of these little appetizers. I feel bad we didn't really touch most of them, but we did kill the spicy "squid" skin like dish. * Tofu soup with shrimp (I believe it's listed on the menu as Al Jji Gae) : Though we asked for non-spicy, the soup has a very good broth. Good serving of tofu and medium-large shrimp. A very well made dish with lots of flavor. * Hae Mul Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap: I'm still on a quest to find the best hae mul dol sot bi bim bap dish in Atlanta. Frankly, this one is a little off. It's a good size serving in a more shallow, but more wide hot stone bowl. The amount of veggies and rice are good, but there's not enough seafood. Bits of baby shrimp, squid, either muscle or clams did not satisfy my stomach. I think this dish could use some improvements, it's slightly decent. *Gal bi gui; The star dish of the night, though we left it on the side since all the banchan took most of the space. The dish is served with square cuts of meat, which makes sharing easy. Every piece was perfectly tender in the method it was cooked in. A very good blend of seasoning that brings out the flavor of the meat instead of masking it. Although a bit pricey compared to the amount served, ($23) I believe that giving it a try is worth the price of admission. Each entree came with small cup of soup with minced beef and I think potatoes. I really liked the broth with this one as well, a hearty taste of beef. Overall: If it's late and you're looking for something to eat besides the staple of Waffle cribs and IHOP's. This is the place to try. read more

First of all, the service at this place is good. The waitress were running around crazy to do their job. But, as a restaurant....it was the worse food that I ever had for as far as I can remember. Some of the little dishes were spoiled. The bean sprouts had strong sour spoiled taste. The kimchi was sour and wilt looking. Rest of food was bland. I will never eat here again And would not even recommend this place to my enemies. read more

4.5 stars in my book. I've been here a few times, and it's been solid every time. The most recent visit was with my parents and little sisters. We ordered the boyangtang (goat stew), yukaejang (beef and veggie stew), and chadolbaegee (thin beef for grilling). The boyangtang was quite good--somewhat spicy = not that spicy, so order spicy if you're looking for some heat. The yukaejang was fine but didn't have the rich flavor that I'm used to having in the broth. The chadolbaegee was great (and comes with dwaenjangjigae, or mung bean soup) and is served with mushrooms and onions. My family also likes to grill the garlic and jalapeños that come out in a side dish. Speaking of side dishes, ask for more if you run out! Just tell them what you want more of, and they should be willing to resupply your table. To end your meal, you'll enjoy a refreshing bowl of shikhye (sweet rice drink) on the house. read more
