Right off the bat I liked this place! It was very cute and quaint. The fireplaces are such a cozy touch. We enjoyed seeing TVs and the projected programs on the wall, a hot commodity for the upcoming football season. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Okay, I'l l admit - I was a LOT skeptical and should have visited this lovely little gem YEARS before now. Korean and Mexican fusion? I just couldn't see it (or rather, I couldn't taste it??). Either way, at the excellent suggestion of a friend, we met here for a party of 5 on Friday after work and all my worries were immediately dispelled. To start, definitely try the Soju! We tried the watermelon and mango varieties - consensus was that the watermelon was better, but both were sweet and delicious. Sadly, I didn't get to try the Kim Jung Mule but don't worry - I will be back for that one. Next up, the appetizer list is extensive, and I only got to sample 2 but will report back with more once I've had a chance. The spicy BBQ pork taquitos were crispy and very tasty, try them with the hot sauce they make in-house, and ask for the one that's hotter than the Korean fire. It's amazing, we went through two servings because we put it on everything. Okay, now let's get to the main event: The Kimichirito with spicy BBQ pork and all the fixings. This is the best burrito I've had in Alaska, hands down. Being from Texas, I'm extremely skeptical about any Mexican food served north of the Panhandle, but this may convince me to broaden my horizons. My fellow diners sampled a variety of tacos, and all reported back they were delicious. I especially liked that they allow you to order single tacos so you can try one of everything you like, and they have a 3 amigos with their top 3 tacos. Nicely done all around on the menu planning and offerings. Service was lovely, attentive and informative - I had so many questions, being new to the whole concept. On the second trip to AK, my friend took me here and I absolutely love it. The customer service was amazing. I had enchiladas with BBQ Chicken and it was PHENOMENAL! I am not exaggerating, it was that good. It was topped with enchilada sauce, lettuce, onions, sour cream, and fresco cheese all melted in a corn tortilla. Truly amazing. Korean and Mexican can get me a little skeptical with all the fads but I really really enjoyed this establishment. First, much bigger on the inside from what you can see. Second, their limited menu allows them to increase quality on what they put out. Third, they serve all sorts of SOJU (my favorite). If you have never tried it, you want to try it here. Fourth, their fried chicken is the best and crunchiest chicken you're going to find in Anchorage (cause it's how the Koreans do it), and lastly, just a very kind and knowledgeable staff that will make perfect recommendations for people who can't tell the difference between the items. Visited for the first time this week. The place was fairly crowded on a Wednesday evening about 5:30pm. No ambience to the place.... And except for the big screen TV showing K-Pop videos there was nothing to identify the restaurant as either Mexican or Korean. The menu was limited with a few options from each nationality. We were seated quickly and given water but it took a while for waitstaff to get to us. Normally it's not a problem, especially with everyone being short handed these days, but we were in a bit of a hurry. This gave us little time to order and eat our food. Not the restaurants issue, it was ours, but it affected what we ordered. Got the three Kalbi beef tacos on corn shells. Came fairly fast and we were pleasantly surprised at the dish. Presentation was good and the tacos were very delicious! If they had not been so good this would probably have been a two and a half star review but at this point I'm pretty sure we will return to try other dishes. The food was outstanding, we brought our toddlers cause it said kid friendly- everyone was very friendly and offered some off menu snacks to keep the kids pleased but I wouldn't say it has many accommodations for kids. Fusion food can be a hit or miss and I don't think there's much fusion going on in this place. However, the food is great. The kimchi bulgogi burrito is very tasty, but to call a bunch of Korean food wrapped in a tortilla fusion food is kind of lazy marketing. Some of the staff is nice. The location is in an awkward corner of a strip mall looking place. Definitely go there for the food not the ambiance. read more

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Anchorage for lunch or dinner. We have had almost every item on the menu, and they are always friendly and fast with their service. Each order uses fresh ingredients and is an explosion of flavor. At first you may be a little hesitant to try, but this place truly has fused Korean and mexican food in a way we couldn't imagine. Today we had the bulgogi egg rolls (which is our favorite thing to order), the kalbi kimchirito, and the bulgogi Korean cheesesteak. The kimchirito comes with your choice of a side of the Mac salad, chips and salsa, or their signature tots. All are delicious, but we had a discussion today with staff about having a salad as a side option. They mentioned the chef is exploring the right flavor combinations. I can't wait for when this becomes an option! I have had their taco salad and it is another menu favorite of mine! The Korean cheesesteak was also incredible. My boyfriend described it the most American option, and safe option on the menu for those who are just not sure. We love the flavor of bulgogi, so that is usually our go to. This plate always comes with tots, and we always order a side of the spicy mayo as well. It's just reallllly good. It's worth the extra charge. We usually have water or Jarritos, but they offer beer, wine, and saki The table next to us had a plate of the k-town nachos, which looked like the tots made into nachos. They looked cheesy, full of plenty of meat and worth the price. I unfortunately cannot eat too many tots myself (digestive issues), but if I decided to just have a day to binge I might go for it to have that kalbi stacked on there! Very tempting!! This is a recommended stop to add to your circle of restaurants! Update July 2019: I brought my parents here who are in their 60's and they LOVED IT!!! When I first described it to them my father got this scowl on his face like "why would someone mess with my Mexican food" but he was so happy with his explosion of flavor from his kimchirrito. He has been blowing up my phone ASKING WHEN WE CAN GO AGAIN. My mom loved everything on her plate, and was so happy with her trip of tacos, and couldn't believe that she would like it. The food was good, the service needs work. I went there Tuesday, mid-day, no crowds. I was able to sit at the bar. I'd never been before but heard of it through work so decided to try. The server at the bar seemed more interested in his nachos, watching TV and entering/clearing out a check than providing simple eye contact. I asked about the taco special and he explained to me, looking at the screen in front of him but would look up every so often. So I ordered the 3 amigos sans sauce (just not into sauce). Very good flavor, all 3. I'd probably get it again if I ever came back. He never came to check back with me, not bring me an extra napkin or my check, but a young woman did, who was the same person who cashed me out. Honesty, I don't go here for the fusion tacos, but for the kimchi tater tots and korean friend chicken! I recommend ordering them "naked" with "korean fire" and "garlic soy sauce" to the side do that they stay nice and crispy. Definitely recommend the korean fire if you can only choose one. Not spicy, but sweet and savory! 4 instead of 5 stars because I had tried their tacos two separate times (over a year apart) and honestly wasn't blown away by them. First time trying this place! I had the fried cod tacos which were good. Fish was crunchy and the sauce was delicious. 3 for $12.50. Boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak and said was really good. Modern, chic interior. Spacious. I'm a sucker for hahoetal, though my companions thought it a little creepy. A slight hiccup initially but the service was friendly and attentive. I have a feeling they were a little understaffed. Was hoping to get more out of the tacos and nachos... They were OK. Tacos a bit dry. Honestly I had hoped for a better fusion experience in that regard. They seem to depend a lot on the sauce for flavor. Everything was on the salty side, which would be fine if it didn't blur the flavors together... but not a bad way to promote the drinks menu, which was fun and well-curated. Tater tots and crab rangoon were good, though they're not what I would call a prime representative of Korean-Mexican fusion food. It was an overall pricy and kind of disappointing experience. If I had a girl's night here I'll probably stick to the tots and drinks. read more

For the appetizer I got the chips & salsa, I know basic but it was really good the chips were fresh and the salsa was awesome. Great balance of fresh and spicy. Someone at our table got the bulgogi egg rolls & wings. Those were really good. The wings were crispy & sweet with a hint of spice. I got the Kalbi Beef Kimchirito it was good, I didn't get much of the Kim chi flavor but it was good nonetheless. Tots were fresh and crispy as well. I also got the Kim Jung Mule & that wasn't bad. I had lunch here earlier today with my mother while helping her run some errands for charity donations. I was also eager to try this place out based on so many positive and glowing reviews from fellow Yelp friends. Seoul Casa is a vibrant, trendy dining spot located at the old Terra Bella café next to Bed Bath & Beyond across from the Dimond Center Mall. The interior of the restaurant was spacious and brightly lit with a bar counter close to the entrance and an overhead screen playing K-Pop music videos. The music made for an upbeat and relaxed atmosphere as we were warmly greeted by Christine at the front door. We were promptly seated at a table and took a couple of minutes to peruse over the menu. Looking around the dining area, I was glad to see that they kept the fireplace in the corner after Terra Bella closed. The tables next to it would be the ideal spot as the weather gets colder. After a few minutes, we were ready. I decided to try the Kimchirito with kalbi as a meat option, an innovative dish that combines kimchi fried rice, sour cream, kimchi de gallo, cilantro, onions, lettuce, cheddar and mozzarella in a burrito. My mother had a harder time deciding what she wanted to try but ultimately went with two Fried Fish Tacos (beer battered cod, cabbage, and carrots topped with Asian Baja sauce). For appetizers, we started off with Crab Rangoon and the Gyoza (pot-stickers). These came out in a few short minutes and I immediately dug in. The Crab Rangoon was some of the best I've had recently with plenty of cream cheese and a strong garlic flavor with each bite. The Gyoza were just as good, lightly fried for a crispy texture. These were gone in a matter of minutes before our main orders arrived. The Kimchirito was fantastic with plenty of melted cheese, sour cream, and a generous amount of kalbi complemented with the unique taste of the kimchi fried rice layered inside. Chips and salsa were served on the side and these were great as well. My mother enjoyed her fried fish tacos to the point where she was disappointed that she didn't save enough room for the second one after devouring the appetizers. This was more than enough to ensure another visit in the near future while wanting to try out the other items that everyone is raving about. This included the 3 Amigos (three tacos; one kalbi, one spicy pork, and 1 Korean BBQ chicken....this is the next one for me), the K-Town Wings (naked, Korean fire, or garlic soy....yes, please!), and the Kimchi Fried Rice with bacon and fried egg (ordering will be tough the next time I come here). read more

This looked an interesting cuisine to me as a vegan/vegetarian. Tried their kimchirito with tofu and soft tofu taco. It was just average, the fried rice just had a hint of the kimchi flavor. There was more rice than I expected and overall nothing great flavor wise. The sweet chili sauce with the soft taco sauce was nice and was not more than a drizzle. The "seasoned tots" were nothing but salted and were kind of disappointing. I would try it since there are limited vegan/vegetarian options around but I feel like they can do better with the idea of korean/mexican fusion. read more
