These spicy cold noodles had OK flavor, however, the main issue was that the noodles were all stuck together into one big ball. Especially in the places in New York, these noodles are always separated and completely covered in sauce. Unfortunately, this is not the case here. Additionally, for the price, I would expect for some type of protein to be added to the dish such as wheat gluten. Service is average. It's a room temperature/cold noodle dish served with bean sprouts and cucumbers with the option of choosing your spice level (I got mild) and add beef (which I did not). It reminds me of a Chinese/Schezwan version of Hiyashi Chuka (Japanese cold noodle). I really liked it! It had just enough spice, with the thicker flat rice noodle. SO good! My husband got the Beef Noodle Soup. It was tasty. My husband got it with the wide flat noodle (it was recommended on the menu). He said it might've tasted better if it was with the flat rice noodle instead. The portions are very generous for one person. We didn't even finish ours. I've been to this restaurant twice now. It is located in the Watermarke condos subdivision so there is plenty of parking. They do not require tipping and you get a discount if you pay by cash as there is a 2.3% fee for credit cards. I ordered the Guilin noodles the first time and Saozi soup noodles the second time. Both came in the take out container regardless if you order take out or not. It's the paper bowl with the wax interior. The Guilin noodles were way too salty and some of the peanuts were black and moldy looking. I unfortunately didn't see that until I got home. The Saozi noodles were not as salty. The meat had a lot of fat on it and couldn't really find the potatoes. Flavor was better than the Guilin noodles in my opinion. You need to bus your own tables and get your own silverware as well. Just absolutely excellent. First off, I really appreciate the vegetarian options here. They don't skimp out on the amount of tofu they add to their dishes and it's so yummy. The mapo tofu is delicious - spicy and flavorful. The hot dry mix noodles are out of this world. I have dined in here and have gotten the noodles to go, and every single time I have, the food is beyond excellent. The noodles are soft, but chewy, like the noodles are handmade, and the accompanying soups and/or sauces really stick to the noodles. their "spicy" is actually more for flavour and accentuates the taste. unfortunately, they add cilantro to certain noodles, and i have the misfortune of having the "cilantro tastes like soap" gene. luckily, the staff is great about removing cilantro from dishes if you're not a fan! be aware though, and i see a lot of reviewers have said this, the portion sizes are huge, and often times i find myself splitting a bowl with a family member. while there isn't a whole lot of room inside the store itself to sit in, and some of the tables are a bit wobbly, it sort of has an ambiance like i'm back in singapore or taiwan in a food court eating a hearty and warm meal. read more

This place is a bit inconspicuous. Its located at the bottom of an apartment complex around the bend. All the spots in front are labeled "pick up only", but I don't think it's checked too much. I think there's a parking garage in the back, but the ones in front of it are all labeled resident so I wish there was better signage. Going in, the vibe is very friendly and casual. The cashier had the chillness of a surfer dude and a lot of the seats are like metal stools. It's very much self service so they market no tip! It was pretty free on a Sunday morning. You order on a kiosk and pay there but for their special desserts you have to order with the cashier. You pick up your plastic tray to the table, and the tableware is pretty much disposable. Then you separate and throw into the trash cute yourself. The noodles are reasonable priced and decent portion with the thicker spaghetti like rice noodles. Spice level wise- I got extremely spicy and it was more chili oil than spicy, it was bearable. I think medium spicy is like chili garlic sauce. Overall consensus was that the broth was on the saltier side so I could not finish it. It might very been the addition of dried chili too that made it too salty. Beef noodles- super tender like melt in your mouth and decent amount of chunks. Flat wide noodles. Would recommend. Dry noodles- my order, a bit salty but good portion. Comes with roasted peanuts and pickled string beans ( which are really hard to find now) the string beans are sooo crunchy, I def need a plug to their supplier, cuz I missed them so much. The meat was also very tender Guilin noodles- didn't try but again lots of pickled string beans in it. Coconut Jelly with osmanthus- for $5 I really enjoyed it as a cooling dessert. The jelly was on the soft jiggly side with not much osmanthus flavor. There was some crunchier pieces on top and the red bean added a nice sweetness. Pretty clean flavor? Not creamy or floral so it was a better finisher than a drink. If you come here I recommend smaller groups due to limited seasoning? I went there yesterday around 6 pm. Maybe there weren't many customers there, so the cook cut conners. I ordered lamb bean vermicelli soup, hoping to have something really warm in the rainy day. However, the soup was just a little bit warmer than the room temperature. Apparently, the cook didn't bother to heat it up. More over, the cook forgot to add salt in the soup, so we had to ask for that. To make things worse, the bean vermicelli was not cooked enough and difficult to chew on! I am pleasantly surprised by Qin West! I got the Chinese Mo with pork, and my boyfriend got one of the noodle dishes. I really liked the Chinese Mo because the bread was warm and perfectly toasted. I also liked the flavor of the pork. The noodle dish was also really well seasoned, and the portion size is really good. The noodles itself were perfectly cooked as well. This is not a place you go if you want full service though because it's basically self-service except for one person behind the counter in between the kitchen and one person in the kitchen. I love this place. I get the liang pi ($14 ish) on the regular at least 2 times month. Liang pi is the perfect noodle dish for hot weather or even any time. Very kind owner/operators but from the barely working beverage dispenser, broken door on the bathoom (literally it doesn't lock/there is no way to prevent people from just walking in on you) to the unremarkable food, there just isn't enough to support here. To begin with, it's in an apartment complex (no street parking) and cannot be seen from the large nearby street. The photos of the food look great but the food is just not very tasty. The dry noodles were unappetizing with very tiny pieces of tofu and almost no vegetables or other items of interest. The broth was strange. Others didn't like their choices in our group, either.
