Solid beef short ribs from Yuchun at the Hmart food court. The flavor reminded me of a more savory version of short ribs ordered at AYCE KBBQs, but it's slightly sweet and almost smoky. These ribs were very meaty, which I appreciated, but the hefty price tag is preventing me from getting them more often. However, it's definitely convenient; I don't have to purchase my own meat, then season and marinate it for a while, and then know how to properly cook it with the right equipment. Props to the cooks and chefs at this Hmart food court. Plenty of seating is available in the middle of the food court. If you have a shopping cart with you, you can park it in the designated area near the bathrooms. The gentleman taking orders at the front was straightforward but was overall helpful.
I love their mulnaengmyun! It's pricey for what it is, but just take my money. Delicious broth, the spice on top is addictive, and it's always made to order and the perfect temp/chewiness of noodles. Service is pretty fast, friendly, ambience is just the grocery store food court, but the space is clean and spacious. A treat any time, but especially during the summer!

Gentlemen at the counter seemed more interested in ordering his food for protein gains with kitchen staff vs helping me first. Ktown location provides a few banchan while this one does not. Only tried the naengmyeon and im glad I did because the the kalbi price seemed a bit high. Overall, it was fine but I do not see myself returning to this location. Ambiance is a food hall fyi.

First time trying the food court at H-mart! There's several tasty looking options but we decided to give Yuchun a try. The employee was very friendly and offered us a cup of beef broth while we waited for our meals. We tried the short ribs and the beef bibimbap, and we both preferred the short ribs. The bibimbap needed a sauce, it was honestly kind of flavorless and dry. Whenever I've had bibimbap at other places there's a sauce in the rice or mixed into the dish, but this one didn't come with any. Came with a few sides as seen, however we were not a fan of the pho broth at all. I love pho but this one lacked depth and flavor. Presentation of the food was very nice. It definitely looks better than it tastes, but it was decent. However, for the price I wouldn't get it again.

Really good though but warning it is a choking hazard with how crispy it is lol. Side dishes were good except the kimchi was so flavorless. My friend said that was unusual so maybe it was an off day. What I love is that they give this carafe of hot broth to sip on. It is so good and comforting. My friend and I did have stomach troubles about 30 mins after. We all had spicy cold noodles and the pancake. I think it may be something with the cold noodle that day? However willing to give it another try as the food is great.

I came here originally to shop for ingredients at HMart, but then changed my mind and decided to grab some food at the eatery instead. I shared the spicy cold noodle combo, which came with a side of galbi and broth. After ordering, you'll grab a table, and an overall PA system calls out your number when your order is ready. The noodles were super refreshing, and came with cucumbers, meat, eggs, and radish. It wasn't too spicy, and had a vinegary taste to it. The meal was perfect for two people to share. I also liked that they offer to cut up the noodles to make it easier to eat since the noodles are the chewier kind. The dining area is pretty large, so even when it's busy, you'll still likely find a seat.
Yuchun can be found inside the food court at H Mart Irvine WestPark. There are a good number of Korean food options within the food hall, but we decided on Yuchun and it was the right choice. I went with the Yuchun Signature Set which included a variety of banchan, rice, soup and bulgogi for $25.99. I paid an upcharge to substitute kalbi as my choice of protein and it did not disappoint. Simply order at the kiosk and they'll call your number when your order is ready, but be forewarned that the tray can be on the heavier side when you pickup. The Signature Set is not the most affordable menu option, but it provides a balanced meal of Korean dishes and the portion size is hearty enough for leftovers. I'll def be back!
Super solid cold noodle spot inside a food court. The bowl was big and really hit the spot. Mul Naengmyeon: Get This was so refreshing and flavorful. Broth was ice cold, the noodles had a nice chew, and the whole thing just felt super satisfying. Great combo of savory and tangy flavors. Perfect on a hot day or if you just want something light but still filling. Nothing fancy here, just good food. It's in a food court so don't expect much on service or atmosphere, but for what it is, it's great. Food: 9/10 Value: 8/10
exceptionally hot day today, was craving some spicy naengmyeon. was so happy to find a spot that had some in the hmart food court. $19 for a fairly large portion, but it was really really good. its a must try, especially in this weather. it comes with a small serving of hot beef soup in those tea cups. pretty interesting way of serving it but the soup was good so it's no issue.
The flavor was so good and the services was amazing considering how busy there were. This place is located inside of the hmart food hall which makes it convenient to grab after grocery shopping
Great little spot inside HMart! I had the Omelet fried rice and it was delicious! The banchan that came with was incredible as well, and they make their own banchan!
The food here always slaps (and I come often- take my word for it). The cold broth noodles never disappoints and I could drink their bone broth until I blew up from the saltiness. Located in the food mart side of H-Mart, this place is a gem. It's quick, it's easy, and the service is pleasant. The ambiance can be crazy after church on a Sunday, but it's relatively easy to grab a table and enjoy good food after grocery shopping
Came by the food court for lunch on a hot summer day and saw like half the crowd ordering cold noodle from this place so had to try it. I ended getting the beef one and they actually packed it with beef slices! The spicy sauce flavor was really good and soaked up well with the noodles. Portions are great, I didn't actually finish mine with a few bites left. Loved the cucumber in it along with half an egg. Honestly no complaints I was pretty satisfied. Going to add this to my list of foods for when I come to the food court. Would recommend and get again! read more

Yuchun is located in the food court inside H Mart and offers a variety of traditional Korean dishes like stews, BBQ meats, and cold noodles. I got the spicy cold noodles, which were around $20. It felt pretty expensive for a fast-casual food court spot, although Korean food tends to be on the pricier side in general. The portion of noodles itself was actually pretty big and filling, but it only came with about three slices of beef and half a boiled egg, so the proteins felt a little sparse for the price. Flavor-wise, I've definitely had better spicy cold noodles. The sauce leaned a little too sweet for me and wasn't as pungent or savory as I usually like. It wasn't bad, but for $20 I was hoping for a little more in terms of both toppings and flavor. Service is friendly and food came out quickly. read more
After a long morning of traveling from Chicago into LAX for a friend's wedding, we were completely famished by the time we made it down to Irvine. We popped into the local H-Mart for some quick essentials and stumbled into the food court. While every stall looked enticing, my wife and I both settled on Yuchun for a refreshing bowl of cold noodles to beat the California heat. We each ordered a bowl of their Naengmyeon (cold noodles), upgrading one to the LA Galbi combo so we could share the meat. Everything was exceptional, the noodles were perfectly chewy and icy cold, served in a deeply refreshing broth with crisp veggies that provided a great balance of textures and flavors. The LA Galbi was tender, juicy, and packed with smoky, grilled flavor that paired brilliantly with the chilled soup. The vibe is quintessential local Asian food court, lively, unpretentious, and full of people dropping in for a quick Friday lunch. It's a fantastic little hole-in-the-wall spot that hit the exact right spot after a long flight. Highly recommend! read more

Great option inside HMart food court in Irvine. Ordered the Yuchun Togo Lunch for $28. Portions were large enough for 2 people. Favorite was the beef radish soup. Service was nice and fairly quick for a busy Sunday. Would like to try their other dishes. read more

I got their cold spicy noodles (4/5) and it was very flavorful! I do wish they gave more meat vs. the price paid for it ($15.99) and ~ $18 with tax. One thing to note is if you get their cold spicy noodles it comes with less of the cold broth compared to their regular cold noodles. Their buckwheat noodles were springy and flavored so well with sesame oil, tangy vinegar, along with their sweet and spicy sauce. It came with slices of fresh cucumbers and radishes that made the dish refreshing. It had two pieces of sliced beef on top and an egg for protein. The noodles absorb the sauce very fast in the spicy one so you will end of up dry noodles if you have leftovers but still tasty! read more
Yuchun in K-town LA is my all-time favorite restaurant, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a location in Irvine. When I arrived, I couldn't spot it right away and realized it was inside HMart. I was initially a bit skeptical since food court options are often hit-or-miss, but I decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, the cold noodles and dumplings were really good and tasted just like the ones from the K-town LA location. However, I did notice some differences in portion sizes, even though the prices were the same (or higher). In K-town, I usually can't finish more than half the noodles because the portions are so generous, but at the Irvine location, I finished the whole bowl without feeling overly full. The dumplings tasted great, but the filling wasn't as packed--there were noticeable gaps, making them feel a bit empty. If this location could improve its portion sizes, it would easily be a 5-star spot. And they really need to offer the free broth, just like the K-town LA Yuchun! Despite my comments on the quantity and broth, I'd still come back here if I couldn't make it to the K-town LA location. read more

I do wish the soup had a bit of ice in it to make it extra refreshing, but still hit the spot. We also got the kalbi, which had nice flavor. It was a tiny bit undercooked, but still totally fine to eat and tasty overall. read more

The Kimchi Pork Bibimbap ($21.99) and LA Short Ribs ($31.99) were good! The bibimbap actually comes out on a sizzling hot stone. The short ribs had great flavor. My only gripe is the price. For a food court, I expected the prices to reflect that and not of a standalone restaurant. I haven't tried it, but I saw a lot of people order the cold noodles on the day I went, and it looked pretty good. It is something I plan to try in the future. read more

located in the food court in the hmart shopping center. plenty of parking but can get busy. service was nice and relatively fast. lots of places to sit and eat while you wait for your number to be called. great to have lots of options on food food was good, i got the cold noodle. the portions are a bit small. and i wish there was more pickled radish in the soup. but the flavor was very nice! i love how they served the hot broth on the side, it was delicious. read more
This just hits the spot especially on a hot summer day! Refreshing, cold. The noodles are perfectly chewy. And by far, the best broth you can find in the area. They also offer combos with kalbi, pork belly, etc. on the side. It is a bit pricey. Expect to spend about $20-35 depending on if you opt for a combo. Located in a food court adjacent to H Mart, it's easy to find! read more

I came back late Saturday evening to give this place another chance after waiting over 40 minutes for my cold noodles to come out. Safe to say, I am very glad I did. This time around, I ordered the kimchi bibimguksu and pork belly combo. The pork belly was so crispy and savory on the sizzling stone plate. But the cold noodles were definitely the star of the show. I loved how chewy the noodles were and the broth/sauce had just the right amount of tanginess to it. My friend ordered the bibimbap on a sizzling bowl, but she thought it was a little bland and needed more gochujang. We also appreciated the hot bone broth that the cashier offered to us! read more

Yuchun is a great Korean cold noodle restaurant that is family owned and operated. They are nestled inside of the Hmart and the polite staff was quick to deliver our food. They have the best cold noodles in town and have generous portion sizes. We got the kimchi spicy cold noodles and pork belly combo which was plenty for two. The noodles were perfectly spiced and bursting with flavor, complemented by the side of pickled radish, adding a wonderful sweetness to the spicy, umami dish. While the pork belly was cooked well and had plenty of garlic, the only downside was there was not that much meat. Each bite had a crispy exterior and melted in your mouth but we found ourselves wanting another order. Yuchun is a top place if you are craving cold noodles. Don't hesitate to check this establishment out! read more
Yuchun's naenmyun is the perfect dish for the summer heat! The portion is huge, though I manage to eat it all because I have a big appetite. The spicy cold noodles aren't really spicy (and I am a spice wimp). I've ordered both the one with fish and the one with beef and would recommend the beef over the fish, which was kind of boney. Also tried their kimchi dumplings, which are HUGE! You have to be careful eating these - one bite and they kind of fall apart. Yuchun is in the food court at HMart and has become quite popular since opening a few months ago. You may have to wait a bit longer than the other food stalls, but it's worth it! read more

I came back to give this location another try after the manager reached out to me. 10/10 for customer service. LA short rib - came out nice and warm this time. Cold noodle - I love that the broth is slush like. Service - has improved. When it's busy (has always been busy when I drop by) it's hard to get assistance without standing in line again, especially when you want additional utensils or broth. read more

So delicious! Food is very clean tasting and very flavorful, I come here for the spicy cold noodles and it never lets me down. It's in a food court so it's perfect for if you want to come with a friend who doesn't want to order the same thing. The service is fast read more
This little shop is located inside of the hmart food court. I had pretty low expectations for it but they had some of the best cold noodles I've ever had! Very comparable to cold noodles I've had in ktown. Service was also pretty straightforward and quick so definitely check this place out after your next hmart grocery trip read more
