    18. 새우 완탕면 / Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup

Pretty good dinner option located inside of H Mart! We tried to go to another restaurant in the plaza but hte wait was too long, so we walked over here to peruse the food court. ENded up choosing CHD, and i ordered the shrimp wonton dumpling soup with beef broth. Waited about 20 minutes for the food, but you can easily walk around the market while you wait, and they announce all the orders in the intercom so you can easily hear if you are in the vicinity. Soup came out super hot and fresh with a side of pickled radish. The noodles were really good texture, and the broth was pretty light and not too salty. The wontons were alright, but they were way overcooked to the where the outer part was like disintegrating; the shimp inside tasted good though. Only thing, is I wish they had metal utensils instead of plastic spoons to eat the hot soup. Overall a very good option for dinner if you are shopping at H-Mart anyway.

First time having Korean dumplings. Got their sampler. It was pretty good. Definitely enough for two-three people to share. The dumplings are large so don't let the name fool you. The lady working was super nice and for being in a kind of bustling food court it came out pretty quickly and fresh. You can tell that these are not made before hand.

CHD Korean Dumplings Tteokbokki! I got Rose Tteokbokki. It was the perfect amount of spiciness, amazing mozzarella cheese pulls, the sausage gave a snap for every bite, and it had tons of bacon flavor for those bacon lovers. The actual tteokbokki was the perfect chewy texture and it the service was pretty fast. It was so big I took it home and ate it for another meal! Cool food court and the tteokbokki at CHD is great!

They have these new rice pots that I remember trying in Seoul and they taste just as good! I've only tried the eggplant one so far and I'd HIGHLY recommend it. I haven't found any other Korean places offering this style rice pot like we had in Seoul. I'm thinking of trying the steak one next time but overall you scoop the rice and protein out into the bowl to eat. Then you pour the kettle broth into the rice pot and re-cover it. For $3 you can add 3 mandoos too

I usually go to the Westpark CHD, but a friend told me the Northpark location has new sot-bap (sizzling bibimbap in a pot), so we stopped by while nearby. We ordered the kimchi bacon, eggplant, steak, and fish roe sot-bap. Every dish was flavorful. My super-picky boys loved the steak and fish roe, and even my husband--who can't handle spicy food--enjoyed the kimchi bacon (with some water on the side). The eggplant sot-bap was a standout: crunchy fried onions and garlic, melt-in-your-mouth eggplant, and chewy, umami pork--all perfectly seasoned. Texture heaven. They give you an empty bowl to spoon out some of the rice, then you pour roasted barley tea into the pot and close the lid. While you enjoy your sot-bap, the tea loosens the lightly burned rice (nurungji) at the bottom, turning it into a delicious toasted rice soup. Next time, I'd love to try their spicy eggplant sot-bap.

I've been enjoying their Mandu (dumpling) but never thought of writing a review, but today as I tried their Spicy Eggplant, I thought I gotta recommend this to everyone. The eggplants are perfectly cooked, (not very hard, not very mushy) and the spicy sauce blends in perfectly with the rice. If you want to try something different among Korean foods, you mist try this menu.

Cooler days call for soup and warmth. I was in the area running some errands and decided I want udon, but no meat. Wanted something light in taste. Stopped by CHD in Hmart food court. It was delicious. The broth was perfect and not overly salty or oily. Generous portion at a fair price. Can't go wrong with their food court and all of the options available. Service was quick as it wasn't too busy, right before the lunch rush. The food court is always clean and busy with families and older folks. It's just very comforting to see.

This place is legit. In a food court in Hmart. The 떡볶이 is spicy and the 만두 are fried perfectly. Really reminds me of food in Korea.

Awesome looking Korean food court located conveniently inside H Mart. With the high rating my expectations were so high, but the tteokbokki and the dumplings were so mid at best. Friendly and quick service though!

What a hidden gem! I found this delicious Korean dumpling restaurant inside the H Mart in Irvine near Orchard Hills. The bulgogi rice and sampler dumpling were authentic, juicy and delicious. The staff were super helpful as we did not know what to order (more familiar with Chinese dumpling). Ambiance is casual, clean and relaxing with hip hop music I playing in the background. Look forward to trying their other dishes next time. Highly recommended!

Been looking for good rose tteokbokki and absolutely loved CHD's. The tteokbokki was cooked perfectly as well as the wide noodles and sausages. I loved the flavor and creaminess of the sauce, it was lightly spicy and tasted amazing. I've had quite a few rose tteokbokkis in Korea and it very much so reminded me of it. My boyfriend got the dumpling sampler platter and loved all of them. They were all fried tk perfection and the fillings were amazing. Their side of radishes were also delicious and we didn't wait too long.

When it came to the table, every single dish completely delivered on flavor and presentation. We shared the rich pork tomahawk, the highly addictive garlic noodles with prawns, the beautifully glazed chicken wings, and a bright, fresh ceviche. What makes Nep truly remarkable is that even as it has gone through numerous menu changes over time, its core identity never wavers. It is the rare kind of establishment that adapts and evolves without ever losing its edge, ensuring that no matter what iteration of the menu you walk into, you are guaranteed an exceptional dining experience.

The restaurant strikes a…read moregreat balance between casual comfort food and high-quality ingredients, and every visit has been consistently enjoyable. The star of the menu is definitely the pho. The broth is rich, flavorful, and clearly simmered with care--not overly salty or greasy like some places. The meats are tender, portions are generous, and the noodles always have the perfect texture. If you're a first-time visitor, I highly recommend trying one of their signature pho bowls. Their garlic noodles are another standout. Perfectly seasoned with a buttery garlic flavor and a slight savory kick, they pair incredibly well with the grilled meats. The shaken beef and grilled pork are both excellent options if you're looking for something beyond traditional pho. One thing that really sets Sup Noodle apart is the variety of appetizers and sides. The crispy egg rolls are packed with flavor, and the wings are surprisingly good--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated with just the right amount of sauce. Don't skip the house sauces either; they elevate every dish. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and welcoming. Even during busy lunch and dinner hours, the staff does a great job keeping things moving and maintaining a friendly atmosphere. Service has always been attentive without feeling rushed. A few tips for first-time visitors: * Expect a wait during peak lunch and dinner times, especially on weekends. * The garlic noodles are absolutely worth adding to your order. * If you're dining with a group, order several appetizers to share. * Parking can get busy, but turnover is usually quick. Overall, Sup Noodle Bar delivers excellent food, generous portions, and consistently great service. Whether you're craving a comforting bowl of pho, flavorful garlic noodles, or simply looking for a reliable restaurant in Irvine, this place is well worth the visit. I'll definitely be coming back.

We came with reservations on Saturday night before Mother's Day. The first thing I thought when I walked in was that there was a live band playing with bad speakers because the music was so loud. But when I saw there was no band, I thought maybe their speakers were broken because the music had that scratchiness to it. Then I realized it was a DJ spinning vinyls with foreign music from the 1950's with that scratchy vintage sound on full blast (think shrill trumpets and shrill voices.) Now don't get me wrong, the music was wonderful and very unique ( again, a lot of foreign songs) with a few I even knew...my husband and I loved most of the songs that were played. HOWEVER not when it's so loud that we can't even hear our own thoughts! I felt annoyed within the first 5 minutes of being seated when my family and I had to keep repeating ourselves, and my husband even went to check the rest of the place to see if it was any quieter anywhere else, but it was blaring music everywhere. I ended up ordering for my whole table of 8 people because we couldn't even hear each other over the music to make suggestions on what to order. My adult kids (all in their 20's) kept apologizing for recommending this place for my mother's day dinner. But oh my, the food was delicious---practically everything I ordered was amazing! OMG the hangar steak skewers, pork belly skewers, iberico pork secreto steak, little gem salad, and their bread with goatmilk -butter were my faves! We also had the short ribs and the pork fried rice with prawns but they were mid...nothing to write home about. This would've been a great place to come have a drink at the bar for happy hour or even late at night on a weekend since they open until 1am on thursday, friday, saturday... but don't come for dinner unless you bring earplugs and learn sign language or know how to read lips because there will be no conversations over dinner unless it's just to the person sitting next to you. Even so, I noticed the young couple next to us looking very annoyed-- they got up and left after quickly finishing up their one cocktail while the speakers blared out an instrumental piece of a girl moaning the whole time until she climaxed. Heck---I'll have whatever SHE'S having lol So plz keep the music down several notches until after 10pm, and let the rest of us enjoy our dinner so that we can sing praises on how delicious everything was. Until you do, I think I'll cross this place off my list for now and revisit again sometime in the FAR future.

The finger foods was Asian‑inspired, with flavors like black sesame, curry, and other creative twists that made each bite feel unique. Every piece was thoughtfully made, rich, and decadent without feeling repetitive, and the presentation was beautiful across the board. It definitely felt like a more elevated, modern take on afternoon tea. The tea itself, however, fell a bit short for me. I ordered a non‑caffeinated chrysanthemum tea, which unfortunately didn't have much depth or flavor. My friend's Darjeeling was better, but still not as rich or complex as I've had elsewhere. Given how strong the Asian inspiration is in the food, it would've been nice to see more thoughtful decaf tea options in that same direction, like decaf sencha, barley tea, or kuromamecha, to better match the concept. Price: The afternoon tea service is prix fixe at around $45 per person, which includes a curated set of savory bites, desserts, and a pot of tea. For the quality and creativity of the food, the price feels pretty reasonable compared to other OC tea services, though the tea itself didn't quite meet the same level as the food. Ambiance: The space is bright, warm, and inviting, with a nice amount of natural sunlight coming in that makes it feel cozy rather than stuffy. There are subtle Asian design elements woven into the décor, giving it a modern, slightly upscale feel without being overly formal. It's a great spot to catch up with friends and linger over tea. Service: Service was good, friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Even during a busy service, staff remained kind and approachable, which added to the overall relaxed vibe. Parking: Parking can take a bit of effort. Since it's located on a busy street in Orange, you may need to circle around the roundabout or park a little farther away and walk over. While it is on the pricier side, the quality of the food and overall experience make it absolutely worth it, especially if you're in the Irvine area. We've been here multiple times, and each visit has been consistently great. During our most recent visit, we had a server named Adam who was incredibly accommodating and attentive. He already knew exactly what we needed, including bringing shareable bowls for our pho without us even having to ask. That level of service really made the experience even more enjoyable.

I like what they've done with the place and ambience. It's very warm and inviting. The service was attentive when I visited but it wasn't busy. One of the first things I noticed were the quality of the chopsticks. They reminded me of the disposable ones that came in paper packaging but with the paper removed. The wood was chipped in some places and uneven on the others. For a sit down restaurant in Spectrum, I would've expected better quality chopsticks or for them to have reusable ones. I'm a bit mixed on the spring rolls. The sauce is a coconut based sauce which isn't my personal preference but perfectly fine. The crunchy spring roll paper on the inside of the wrap is always a nice touch an appreciate for a variety in texture. However, the one choice they made that I felt like ruined the spring rolls was that they had seasoned shrimp in the spring roll. Usually a spring roll has a pretty clean taste that goes with a dipping sauce. As for the Pho, it was overall fine but nothing special. The texture of the meatballs was a little too fine and blended but that may be another personal preference. I prefer mine with a bit more bite. Overall the place is alright. At a 5, it's not a place I regretted going and still had nice food but a place I wouldn't consider visiting again. The price to quality and quantity ratio isn't there for a place as expensive as this in Spectrum.
