Very authentic korean food made by a great family. The service is good and the atmosphere is great. The food was delicious! We had Japchae, a favorite, and the portions were well balanced. I do wish there was only more seating is all because it's very popular and so its hard to find seating. It's also a casual restaurant so there is no waiter/waitress necessarily helping to encourage people who have finished eating and are lingering a long time to take their leave so that others can have a table. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. The food and drink I had was delicious. When walking in it was awkward. Wasn't really greeted or told to either or go to the counter. You have to order your food first then go sit. Staff was really nice! I believe with it being a soft opening and new staff that it will be a bit awkward. Will definitely be in again. read more

i stopped by this restaurant on sunday evening and it was crowded so i just got a glimpse of the menu and decided to come back another day. i came on a weekday recently. i happened to be in the area and hungry and i thought , oh! i can try this new place! I ordered bulgogi with rice, japchae, and my boyfriend ordered spicy chicken. the side dishes that come with the meal is kimchi, egg, and fishcake. they didnt have all the food available yet on the menu, but majority they had available. it didnt reallly make a difference because i was able to order what i really wanted. when you walk in, this place is very clean. even the bathroom was very clean. the staff was super friendly and respectful. the food: loved it!! i cant wait to come back and try something else!! im so happy a place like this opened up in middletown!! real korean owners which makes it authentic and so special!! read more

So I saw the spot on the outside while looking for something different to eat. I've had Korean food before and enjoyed it and then there were some places that I didn't enjoy. I felt for something spicy so I took a chance. I sat down at the table after I made my order and when the food came out it was pleasantly received. The aromas coming off of the bulgogi were pleasing. The colors that made up the entree where delightful to look at made me even more hungrier. The side dishes that they had to offer I never tasted potato salad the way it was offered to me. There were little fine chopped up pieces of Apple green bell peppers. I have never tasted potato salad this way and I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it. The kimchi was not spicy enough for me so I'm going to rate the kimchi maybe a two. However the fish cake which look like a noodle was delicious. The staff which was at the time a sweet Asian man and woman who I believe may have been the owners. We conversed a little bit and they informed me that the restaurant opened up just recently. Their location I think is ideal. It's right at the corner and the sign clearly shows it is Korean soul food. I had the pleasure of holding a conversation finding out more about their cuisine that they offer and after I enjoyed every mouthful I told the lady I would be back. Oh before I forget let's talk about pricing. The pricing is average I believe in the city of New York this same dish I enjoyed would be maybe only a few pennies more. So definitely nothing to compare as far as pricing. If you all want some real good flavorful food make sure you visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed the food is served hot and fresh. We wanted a nice supper off of interstate 84 and found this Korean restaurant not too far off the road. It was well worth the little diversion. If we lived nearby we would become regulars. 5 stars. A hidden gem in Middletown NY. I came in last night. The place is well lit and nicely decorated. The first thing that struck me is the place is kept immaculate. It is spotless. The second thing you notice is the wonderful smell coming from the kitchen. The food smells delicious and it didn't disappoint. My wife and I ordered the seafood scallion pancake, fried dumplings, Bulgogi and Jeyook Bokkeum. The pancakes were filled with shrimp not at all greasy and so satisfying. The dumplings were full of flavor without being overpowering. The bulgogi and Bokkeum were cooked to perfection. Sliced thinly, tender and flavorful. Give this place a try, support a local business. We had bulgogi and it came with blue rice, small sides of kimchi cucumbers (I liked it better than cabbage kimchi), pickled radishes, some seasoned flat noodles, broccoli florets. On our visit to see our daughter we enjoyed a delicious midday meal here. The bulgogi beef with purple rice, chopchae noodles, Dak Galbi chicken and seafood pancake really satisfied. Was looking for a restaurant that served Korean food and was surprised to find Seoul Sizzle right in Middletown! We checked it out last night. Interior of restaurant is lovely, understated decor. Spotlessly clean! We ordered a number of dishes: bibimbap. Japchai, seaweed soup, spicy chicken., and the dumplings. The bibimbap was so good! Fresh fried egg on top of sautéed beef, really fresh veg and purple rice. The japchai was also excellent and a very large portion. All the veg was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. Loved the spicy chicken, it does not taste like Buffalo chicken. Had a great heat and flavor all its own. The dumplings were nice and crunchy on the outside and steaming hot inside. The staff was great, offered to answer any questions. Food delivered quickly and was very hot. All around great experience and I highly recommend this place. read more

So we saw this lil spot, on our way to the Veterinarian, OMG was it worth our curiosity. The food was very Delicious, it was very Homey! We had the honor of meeting the Owners who happen to be the Chefs! We had the Bulogi (thinly sliced beef) and the Jeyook Bokkeum (Spicy stir fried pork) which came with Bap (purple grain rice, kimchi and some other tasty treats! I can't wait to go back! Between 3 of us, we ordered the haemul pajeon, moo ssam, dak galbi, yugi bibimbap, and tteokbokki. The seafood pancake was great and could be a lunch in and of itself--too big to be an app for 3, but I finished the rest later. The radish wraps were SO delicious and a perfect light appetizer. I'll probably order these every time. The spicy chicken was very flavorful but just wasn't my cup of tea. The bibimbap was great and we'll definitely order it again. It was fun "customizing" each bite with the sauce and different sides. The rice cakes were very good as well. The parking situation here isn't great, but oh well lol. Once inside, the less than stellar location doesn't matter at all--the dining area is airy, spacious, and impeccably clean. Based on what I saw while there, their takeout process seems quick and easy as well. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to sit and have a relaxed meal!
