Ah, I love Korean cuisine, especially a classic like bulgogi. Very authentic and with a quiet but warm atmosphere. Very clean and welcoming service. What doesn't take this to a 5, is that my bulgogi unfortunately was on the colder side as well as on the dry side. It was missing those natural juices that surrounds the bulgogi. My applemint aide was really refreshing and so pretty to look at. It was slightly disappointing but I'd come back.

So glad we stumbled across this authentic style Korean spot. You can grab a seat at the table or set yourself up on a pillow and sit crossed legged for a true authentic dinning experience. Cute decor hang from every corner of the space. Lots of room and a good spot for families as well. Order at the service counter, grab a seat and wait as they bring your food right to your table. Went with mandu dumplings, both beef and pork. Seafood pancake, and Dupbap. Left satisfied with the dreamiest ice cream. Heuk Imja I believe it was. Such a unique yet delightful range of flavors

Ordering is at the front counter. Pay then wait for the order to come out. I had the Jeyook Boleyn. Spicey stir fried pork. Very tender and tasty. Authentic purple rice was very good as were the pickled radish and broccoli. Nice clean place!

It's very peaceful here, nice quiet home vibe here, while enjoying a meal here. Their tablet was down so I ordered up front for eating in, this place seems more for take out, but honestly they pretty humble and sweet, and had no hang ups about dining in. The lime apple mint ade, was very refreshing and not overly sweet, definitely worth a shot, since honestly out of wheel house with herb infused drinks, for the galaxy ade, it was kind of muted sweetness, like it was sweet but mellow out, if that makes sense, it was still a great drink and visually definitely worth snapping a pic of it. Cheese dak galbi, was savory and pretty spicy, but not overwhelming, the cheese I like how it tasted like blow torched melted. Chicken inside the gooey mess was very tender and flavorful. All veggies were kind of same in taste since the sauce overpowered them. Never had purple rice before, but it's pretty good, it was soft and fluffy. As for small side dishes, the broccoli and what I thought was fried tofu noodles was tasty. The other two, not my cup of tea. Honestly always great to see places like this since definitely no Korean cuisine in my area sadly.

My sister and I were craving Korean so decided to try out Seoul Sizzle. The interior is very nice, the interior design in clean and wood forward. I was actually very surprised when we realized that this place wasn't full service, instead we ordered at the counter and paid before we ate. That definitely didn't feel like the vibe of the place based on how it looks. My sister and I started with fun drinks, I got the Galaxy Ade and she got the Hibiscus Yuzu Ade. Her's was definitely better, mine tasted so sickly sweet. I probably wouldn't order it again, maybe try a hot tea the next time. For food, we decided to share two things. We ordered the Bulgogi set (came with banchan) and tteobokki. Both were good, I'm not going to say they weren't but they definitely were authentic in any way. More like a American version of the dishes. The Bulgogi was thinly cut, super tasty and I loved that I didn't find much fat. The banchan was kind of disappointing seeing as they were small. The marinated cucumbers could have used a more flavorful gochujang, kind of bland. Loved the pickled radish and the tofu skins. The tteobokki had good flavoring. I loved the fried dumplings that soaked up the sauce. Overall, everything was good but if you are looking for really author this might not be the place.

This food was so good! The only disappointment is that my tray wasn't actually sizzling lol. The decor inside the restaurant is unique. It has a feel of a sit down restaurant and a takeout restaurant at the same time and still looks like there was artistic thinking behind the design. Also, the fact that you order your food at the counter, pay, and then sit and wait for it to be brought to you also gives it that mix feeling. Unfortunately, I went a few weeks ago so at this point I forgot what I ordered but I know my main entrée was so delicious. I took leftovers home and was excited To finish it the next day. I got scallion pancakes as an appetizer and those were pretty great, but I love scallion pancakes anywhere. I also tried one of their specialty drinks, it was colorful and was in three layers, I believe it was an hibiscus drink. That was so good, highly recommended. If you're in Middletown, I would highly recommend the spot. Easy, chill, casual restaurant with great taste in food and very close to downtown.

Went out of our way to stop here after an upstate camping trip. SO WORTH IT. The inside is super clean and minimalist which made for a relaxing stop. From the food to the utensils to the decor- Every little thing is aesthetically pleasing and the service was kind and friendly. The food was a knock out. Very tasty and very filling! I had to take a little to go. Each ingredient was fresh and flavorful. So much attention to detail here. I loved it and can't wait to go back. PS they have their own parking lot next to the wine store.

Amazing amazing Korean food in Middletown! FINALLY! I came for the soft opening and recently just came back these two weeks and I must say the food quality have just been going higher and higher! I tried most of the items on the menu and all of them are very delicious! I also love their Mint lime-ade(remember to stir first)! Definitely come take a look! Great place for lunch!

A gem in Middletown! Coming from Honolulu, HI this Korean food is legit!! The dak galbi (chicken dish) with purple rice was hearty. There was also delicious ban chan served on the side and you can also order extra for $5! Tried the seafood panjeon (seafood scallion pancake) ($14) and the calamari salad with yuzu dressing. The complementary watermelon for dessert was a treat! Parking is located across the street behind the liquor mart. Casual dine in and takeout / delivery through grub hub is available.

ORIGIN: Khalliah Murphy (aka Lady K) enjoyed cooking since…read moreshe was a little girl. After completing culinary school, Murphy started a Yonkers-based catering company, and later, in 2016, moved north to open a brick and mortar cafe -- Lady K's Southern Comfort. LOCATION: Lady K's Southern Comfort is located in a small strip mall along Violet Avenue/Route 9G. Ample parking is available. CONCEPT: Lady K's offers quintessential southern comfort food, such as rice with pigeon peas and slow cooked savory collard greens, however tastes of other culinary heritages, such as empanadas, are sprinkled across the menu. Lady K's primarily offers dishes that represent home cooked southern meals -- on site, as take out, or custom catered events. SERVICE: One thing that stands out about Lady K's Southern Comfort is the homey feeling. This extends to the service. During my weekend afternoon visit Khalliah and Shawn Murphy's daughter and son were eagerly helping (Little K and Littlest K). Although customers place their orders at the counter, I was still asked whether I liked what I had chosen. My response brought a proud smile to Little K's face! EXPERIENCE: Plates are available in three sizes, with a protein and two choice of sides. I experienced the small fried chicken with collard greens and macaroni and cheese on the side. Khalliah's family were known for their fried chicken recipe in their Bronx neighborhood, so it comes as no surprise that the chicken was expertly executed -- crisp, non-greasy exterior encasing juicy, moist interior at every bite. Complementing this was the collard greens, in which multiple flavors were married and had just the right amount of vinegary flavor. Next time I will ask for double sides of collard greens -- it's that outstanding! While multiple tables are set up for dining, Lady K's is currently primarily set up for take out. Although photos on Yelp suggest there was plated service in the past, all food is now served in compartmented styrofoam take out containers. This was my only disappointment as I feel household plates and utensils would reflect the homey dishes for those who are looking to dine in. TIPS: Check Lady K's Facebook profile for rare temporary changes in daily hours. Kool Aid is one of the beverage options. I have never seen that before in a menu and I think it's available adds to the homey aspect of the meals prepared at offered at Lady K's Southern Comfort. Kool Aid was a staple in homes in my neighborhood, and the cheerfully colored packets of flavoring powders are rarely found in grocery stores today.
