Don't expect to RETURN any purchase you don't like! Tried return lip balm (on time with a receipt) but they didn't accept it because it used more than 1% (what?). I admire the patience MOST of the associates have here. People come in rude and entitled like they own the place. Teenage girls standing all over blocking everything, using the testers and just laying them by the mirrors. Ruining things on purpose. I got helped by a wonderful lady who helped me find the makeup remover I've been dying for and the hourglass stick foundation I've been eyeing forever too. Unfortunately I have never had a great experience here. To say I've ever even had a good experience here would be a lie. The staff has never been friendly. I have never been approached and asked if I need assistance, and God forbid I ask a question because then the attitude given is as if my question just completely ruined their day. I have visited this store well over twenty times, simply because of its convenience to my work location, and to be quite blunt, I have hated every visit. Today was my last visit there, and honestly the dirty look I got from the woman upon entering the store makes me never want to give my money to any Sephora again. My friends and I went into the store Saturday night on 5/11 to get my friend's free birthday gift. There were two employees hovering near me next to the perfume wall. I overheard one of the girls talking on her walkie saying "do you want me to keep watching them". The other employee also kept getting closer to me even though I was just smelling the perfumes. (She never offered assistance) We were never greeted when we walked into the store and the atmosphere was just uncomfortable. One of my favorite Sephora's to visit primarily due to the friendly beauty experts and due to the fact it is located in Downtown Disney so it always feel like a more magical time. It is always extremely dangerous to walk in for one thing and end up walking out with a plethora of beauty products I may not need at the moment. The great thing about Sephora is their awesome return policy. They're also really good at letting you sample some cremes/beauty products so that you can test for any allergic reaction color etc. Only downside to this Sephora is the parking. read more

Super friendly super nice the staff all wore mask and when I came it it was a capacity of 20 and she told us since there was 19 people in there so we had to wait for some people to come out. Which was fine. I love that she kept us informed of what was goin on and that she asked us nicely to were our mask which was fine but it was even batter cuz most people start taking there mask off to start testing a sniffing and she was super polite but upfront there will be none of that. Vanessa was nice she helped us out through card transactions my friend bought over 75 dollars of stuff which then she got a free bag and she even gave me one cuz she didn't want me to feel upset super friendly!! HELP ME.....I'm inside Sephora.....and I am really scented out! Maybe it was my allergies that kicked in....after 5 minutes of being in the store, I was sneezing and my nose was really irritated....oh well, but I am still impressed. What makes the Sephora Beauty Product Stores very unique and fun for that particular shopper, is the way that it appeals and markets to a specific shopper with it's array of beauty products. Honestly guys....this store is not just for women. Your typical way of shopping for perfumes, colognes and other beauty products is to shop for scents and other beauty products while looking through a complicated tray of scents and an array of advertising at your local department store. And YES guys....I followed the girls inside the store! ;-p The perfumes and colognes that are displayed at Sephora are displayed prominently on a shelf. No major overdone displays or advertising to appeal to any particular shopper. Men.....there is a men's fragrance area....don't be intimidated! After this visit, I am no longer intimidated by this specialty department store. It not only for women, but men can walk in here comfortably too. This is a review for their full face makeover (aka "custom makeup application"). Raelle was my consultant and she was amazing! This was my first time doing a full face makeover at Sephora and I'm so glad I did it. I decided to do it for a lowkey occasion (my bridal shower) to see if I liked their work. I called about 4 days prior to my event and asked for an available appointment. They said earliest they had was 12pm on Sunday, but I told them over the phone my event started at 1pm so I needed to be done by 12pm. The retail associate said she can try to put me in at 11am and put me on hold over the phone. Shortly later, she said 11am was doable and recommended I come in about 5-10 minutes before my appointment. I walked into the store at 10:50am (plan to arrive early! Parking at Downtown Disney is packed on the weekend mornings!). I checked in with an associate on the sales floor. I was a little lost/confused after that, as they told me they'd be right with me. But I wasn't sure who I exactly was waiting on. Eventually a sales associate (Raelle) I had seen working on a client earlier approached and greeted me. And we got started! I didn't bring any pictures with me of what I wanted. I decided to just leave it up to Raelle to do the makeup, letting her know what the occasion was for, and she could tell what kind of look I wanted with the dress I was wearing for my bridal shower too. After a short discussion, we got started. The makeover includes skincare with moisturizers. Then contouring and whatnot. I asked if I could do faux lashes and luckily brought in my own lashes for Raelle to apply (otherwise, would've had to pay for their lashes as a part of the $50 minimum purchase). Overall, Raelle did great! I loved my makeover, my makeup was beautiful. I decided to just get a $50 giftcard so that I could return and take my time shopping for makeup at another time. I would definitely consider doing another makeup application with Raelle (maybe bachelorette party?). Can't lose when it's pretty much free... you just have to buy $50 worth of their products (which isn't hard at all). read more

Good service the majority of the time. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because sometimes some of the employees are kind of pushy when purchasing products and some come off rude at time. It's very rare, but it has happened. Sephora Beauty Classes: THE BEST! They're free and all the girls there are so sweet and helpful. Lizzie, the sweetest person in the store, will give you awesome personalized tips. Classes are between an hour and to an hour and a half long. Make sure to book the appointments online ahead of time since they do get full. Their classes always start at 8am on Saturdays, but as of next week they will be offering two morning classes per week! During the classes, if you participate, they will give you some cool product samples. Once the classes are over, they leave the store open for the students only. I've made one appointment for the full beauty makeover and it was awesome. I forgot the name of my make up artist, I think it was "Bri". She was really sweet and was always asking if I was okay with the products and how the make up was coming out. I believe you have to spend at least $50 to make a full make over appointment and it has to be done the day of the purchase. Take advantage of Mini Make Overs! They're awesome, quick, and free! For the most part, this location is always pretty well stocked. There's plenty of beauty artists that know their stuff and are always willing to suggest products for you. read more

One of the best customer services I've ever received from anywhere. My friend wanted a little tutorial on smokey eyes and I wanted to learn about how to fill in a brow properly. Carol right away jumped in with a smile excited to teach us! After just coming from the horrible customer service from the Sephora at the Mainplace Mall, this location welcomed my friend and I with very helpful arms. During our tutorials it felt as if Carol really wanted to teach us how fun it is to do our makeup instead of the usually consultant's at other makeup stores who just try to sell it to you. While she was beautifying us, other employees in the store would stop by and compliment my friends hair and my "naturally great brows." It wasn't like they were trying to butter us up, they actually meant it. You can tell when people are fake and everyone in this store was genuinely awesome and fun to talk to. Daniel at the register was very funny but also informative when explaining points on the Sephora card. We entered with a smile and left laughing. Carol is the reason I'd be a returning customer. Today, I went into this particular Sephora and I am writing my review based on my checkout experience. Basically, I tried to make a return on a never used product and I stated that I do not have my receipt. Therefore, the lady asked for my card to look it up and/or my account email to view my purchases. As a result, she said that my black Stila Smudge Stick does not show and I just felt subjected as if she was slightly implying that the eyeliner was stolen. She also opened the product after I stated it wasn't used and she tried to twist it up but it was not working. She then said it was broken, like as if I knew and I was trying to return a broken/stolen product. In the end, it may be their protocol, but I still felt offended when I returned the eyeliner. I'm not going to steal makeup, let alone something for $20 and then attempt to return it. Also, when I went home I looked at my Sephora purchases and there are previous purchases of that product so I don't know how she is going to say it does not show up. Overall, I just felt hassled for my return simply because I switched my preference in eyeliners. I love, love, love Sephora! All of them! I don't think I've been to one I haven't liked and I've been to my fair share of them. I remember when this store first came out it was like makeup heaven for me because before this store came out there weren't a lot of stores that carried all these different brands and where the sales people weren't suppose to be overly pushy like at some of the cosmetic counters I've been to in my life just to make a sale. This store carries just about every brand you could ask for as far as divaliciousness goes, except for the cosmetic lines that have their own established stores already such as the Mac stores. But besides that they have everything from Chanel cosmetics to Yu-Be cream. (which is some good stuff by the way) You can try on all the makeup to your hearts desire also and every time you shop here you get points that add up to special little freebies every now and again. Also Sephora really keeps up with whats on the up and up in the beauty industry and always seems to carry the latest happening beauty product, which is awesome because there isn't a lot of guessing as to where to look when it comes to find the latest promise of beauty. Besides cosmetics Sephora carries a wide assortment of perfume, skin care, hair brushes, Mia exfoliating system etc. You get the picture. Whats great about Sephora also is that you are free to just play and experiment with all the different products sold at the store and the sales girls/ makeup artists aren't constantly coming up and bugging you and I honestly don't think they would sell you something just to make a sale. The staff really seem to know their business. The employees here have also always been so nice and polite. Avoid making returns at this Sephora. It takes 2 hours to park, go tru security, walk through the hoards of people just to get to it, and compared to other stores the customer service isn't there. I came in to make a return and even tho I had a Sephora rewards card that has my purchase history on it...Even though it had been less than Less than 30 days... I had to leave with store credit even tho my original purchase was on debit/cash.I couldn't even be given a valid reason.. I was just told to come back with the original purchase receipt(that states I paid cash) Originality 27$ was paid for on debit and the rest of the transaction was cash. But I was given back 64$ on debit & the rest as store credit. I didn't want store credit . I wanted back how I paid. I had to return the next day with my original receipts to sort this issue out. . Then what is the point of the rewards program if it can't be used to look back into my purchase history? I had to come back twice for a total time of 4 hours of Walking through Disney parking lots, security, etc. Employees were not rude or condescending they were just completely incompetent and offered no compensation or even a sorry that they just wasted 4 hours of my life.. read more

I love Sephora. When British Airways lost my luggage in Europe, I knew I could count on Sephora to help me replace my make-up. Even though this Sephora is in Downtown Disney, I still prefer to go to this location instead of other Sephora's in Orange County. They have a great selection of make-up and they are usually keep all of their make-up in stock. (The Sephora at the brea mall does a poor job keeping make-up in stock.) The only down-side about this location when Disneyland is super crowded, its hard to find parking because the DD lot will be full. read more

I found my most favorite perfume here like two or three years ago. They don't carry it here anymore, so i buy it online. Not only that but it's like $25 cheaper online. That's my beef with Sephora. It's the most beautiful, delicious, wonderful store ever. But i can't afford ANYTHING here. Who wants to spend $25 on one color of eyeshadow?!? Sorry, i'm sure most of you don't mind if it's worth it. But i just don't care that much. Their gift cards come in a card, inside a compact, wrapped in tissue paper, and placed in a bag. The employees are very friendly and helpful and helped me find a new makeup to use after the one I usually used was discontinued. I came here on a Wednesday night because I had a free two hours. I told one of the employees that I needed a face cleanser and moisturizer for my extremely sensitive skin. She recommended a couple brands for me, giving me samples to try out. I didn't even have to ask. Being such a noob when it comes to make-up, I wanted to explore, hoping that maybe I would find the product(s) for my skin. Another employee assisted me and spent nearly an hour on my face because I asked a lot of questions (in which she answered confidently and in detail) and was unsatisfied with Clinique's liquid foundation and tinted moisturizer, which was too cakey on my face. Anyhoo ... though I did not make a purchase since I was unsure, I do appreciate their customer service. Definitely A+! read more

This is a large Sephora and has mucho of everything. Due to its location, it can be very busy and it is always amusing to see men looking lost and out of place in here! They do have cologne for men, but the store is 95% about women. Sephora carries high end products, including some difficult to find like DDF skincare, Boscia, Korres and Tarina Tarantino. I find customer service to be good here and you can always ask for a sample of just about anything that you might wish to try. There was only one lady working there that was really friendly. Other than that, this was probably one of the worst experiences I've had at a Sephora. When I first walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed help, but I felt like a few of the girls were hovering because they thought I was going to steal something. When I asked the girls questions about skin care products, it seemed like they had very little product knowledge. The staff seemed very low energy and I could tell that most of them didn't want to be there. When I asked for samples one of the girls seemed bothered and didn't know anything about the specific product. I spend a lot of my hard earned money at Sephora, as I am a VIB Rouge member. I'm quite disappointed with the stark difference of enthusiasm between Disneyland and Sephora. Probably won't be coming back here unless I'm in dire need whilst visiting Disney. read more

New York City, Boston, ...and the ....South Coast Sephoras. This Sephora beats them all, all thanks to the genuine customer service. They help you out, get samples without being asked for it, care about SANITATION (well helllloooo South Coast) and are, most of all, not pushy. i was helped by an extremely nice lady who happens to love Nars. I forgot her name but I guess if you hang around her beloved area you'll find her. The only bad thing about this Sephora is that you have to take a long walk from the free Disney parking lot. Well, it is probably the same distance you walk inside South Coast but they close at a later time. Sweet! read more

There's no brown makeup artists but they all do know what they're doing fortunately. They matched my friend and I up with great foundations. The biggest plus about Sephora is the layout! You try everything and it makes your time so much more well spent. The lighting in their is such photoshoot lighting though -- be careful when shopping at night if you're going for foundations. You will look like a model going out and the next day...you will not look like a model. You will look confused with a foundation way too dark/light for your complexion. Also ** when trying foundations on, swatch them on your hand and let them sit for a moment so you can see if your okay with the color change. All foundations oxidize so they will darken - definitely don't jump the gun if you're new to foundation. read more

i go to this Sephora often since I'm a cast member at Disneyland and i always get great customer service and help from the muas. I've seen the store packed as heck especially when there's cast member discounts and the workers are still friendly and on top of everything!! however the last couple times I've gone they've been extremely rude. I was shocked to have received such bad service since I've never had a problem there. Specifically, this girl named aisling, DO NOT go to her for help. I think she's a manager or has a higher up position than most of the girls there but I'm not sure how with her unfriendliness and moody attitude. Went in one time to get foundation for a special event and asked her what she recommended for something that'll last all night and have full coverage. she proceeded to tell me that i should not be wearing foundation at all since i had bad skin and that i needed to invest in alot of skin care instead of buying makeup, and kept making remarks about my face. It was just extremely rude and unprofessional and she kept rolling her eyes and making faces. i would say I'm pretty intermediate in my knowledge of skincare/makeup and it's application, but obviously don't know as much as the employees do that's why i ask for help ! Aren't you supposed to be selling people products instead of insulting and making them run out the store ? Overall you're degrading someone and it made me feel a bit insecure and got embarrassed from those around who heard her practically insulting me, but i brushed It off afterwards. Men need skin care too!! Men seem to think our skin is much like a Toyota, low-to-no maintenance needed. But this not true. Our skin requires attention and if you want to age gracefully, you can't get big headed and think that it's only for women. I walked in because my sister was shopping. ON a whim, my sister asked me to look around and ask for samples. Samples? They give samples? While looking, this associate named MIYA comes and asks if i need some help. I take her offer and we have a long conversation about creams/sunscreens/moisturizers/UV/etc. Much to my surprise, she is very knowledgeable. I don't run into many associates who seem to be educated in their field but Miya is an exception. She truly defines what it means to have passion and dedication for her industry. I was so impressed with Miya, i actually went to the website and submitted the survey. Now that i think about it, I must REALLY be impressed to even write a YELP review on product line for women. Miya helped me out so much. I will definitely return because of her amazing assistance. read more
