Worst Sephora I've ever been to. The store was disorganized and looked like no one on staff cared enough to keep it presentable. They were all running around talking to each other when the store was a mess. The customer service was even worse. From the moment I walked in, the greeter's stank-breath came off as rude and unnecessarily pushy with the baskets, then acted offended when I declined. It made the whole experience uncomfortable right from the start. As I was leaving she made extra commentary that I didn't ask for. Like she couldn't take the hint she needed a mint! I was running away from that stankass smell from the jump! If this is the standard for how customers are treated here, management seriously needs to step in and fix it. I've visited this store probably 3 times in the past year, and I always feel like it's a total disaster - every time I was there, it's always been packed with kids spraying perfume around who seemed like they were playing versus planning to purchase anything, and it never feels like there's enough staff to serve customers who actually want assistance. Stock seems to be inconsistent, as well - on each of my visits, the shelves were a mess, and the specific item I came to purchase was out of stock. It certainly doesn't feel like a high-end experience as one might expect from a Sephora-branded store. I've learned my lesson, and will NOT be returning to this location. read more

The reason for my one star is primarily due to the poor service I continue to receive while in this store. Today I was in there because of there 25% off shampoos and conditioners so I was going to go get a refill on my Amika purple shampoo and conditioner. I decided I also wanted to maybe see the sol de Janeiro shampoo so I asked an employee "hi, where can I find your sol de Janeiro counter" and she rudely says "omg it's all the way at the front you saw it when you walked in" I go to the front and it was on the left side of the store after you walk in, however when I walked in, I went to the right side so no, I did not pass it. Sephora at Stonebriar mall was recently revamped and remodeled and it looks bigger now and easier to navigate. I love their makeup and I get my Channel perfumes from here. I got their reward card a while ago and I always collect points which gives me some free stuff and one time even a discount when I bought my perfume. The staff seems to know about their products which is always nice when shopping especially for expensive items. It's always packed but they have a lot of people working the floor so you can always find help. The line can get long but again many people working several cash registers makes it go fast. I haven't tried getting my makeup done there however I see many people doing it so I have to check it out soon! They have a wide variety of perfumes and colognes for men. You can find everything that has to do with make up from brushes to powders to lots of different colors if lipsticks. I really love this place!! I like Sephora way better than Ulta. 1. The luxury look of the store is much more glamorous. 2. At Ulta, I can never find people to help me; but at Sephora, there is ALWAYS someone to help me. For the record, this is the top reason why I'm done with Ulta and why I prefer to go in store to Sephora than go online at Amazon or anywhere else. 3. The samples you can request are SO helpful. I've found some amazing products I love because I was able to try them. Ulta also doesn't have samples. 4. I LOVE the Clean at Sephora line. Their skin care options are the real deal. This is why I go to the legacy west location... I walked in to see teens.. everywhere.. boys, girls, just kids all over, playing in products. I found an employee right away and let her know I wanted to be color matched again to include my summer tan.. she let me know management had just moved her from the color ID station and pointed toward that area where they would assist me. I head over, wait a few minutes as everyone appeared to be busy with other customers. Once I saw an available artist, I greeted her and explained why I wanted to be matched again. Before I could end my sentence, in a rude way, she told me, "I'm off for the night, I'm about to leave." No eye contact, nothing.. as she's cleaning her station. I let it be known that she needed to work on her customer service skills, she walked away, then returned mins later with still no eye contact and asked me rudely had I been placed on a list. I've never been asked this in Sephora, but I also shop online a lot or during the week w less crowds and NEVER in this crowded mall, so maybe this is customary, but I told her I knew nothing of a list and did EXACTLY what the original girl told me to do until I was greeted w/ her attitude. Still w/ no eye contact, she begins talking on their communication system and I decided she'd been rude enough. After standing in there for 15 mins and seeing employees walking around in other areas with nothing to do, no one stopping the kids from playing around and worst of all, me wanting to tell that chick what I really wanted to say, I decided to grab my kid and her friend, and walked out. I'll make my usual trip to Legacy West where everyone has been professional and helpful and there aren't BeBe's Kids running amuck in a place where I can shop peacefully. read more

Everyone at this store was extremely nice and extremely helpful, I loved the customer service experience. However, I came in with about $300 worth of product I had on a list to pick up. I found them all online on the Sephora website and made sure to make sure they weren't online only items. I went in extremely excited only to find out literally everything except ONE item on my list they didn't carry. I was super bummed and will have to try another Sephora when I get the time. read more

I had a 60 min makeup session with Wendy Villalobos and she was amazing. I'm a gay male and I told her I've always wanted to experiment with makeup, but had no idea where to start. Not only did she teach me the basics in a very understandable and accessible way, but she was also incredibly sweet and kind. She made me feel very comfortable and we had a great conversation while she was working on me. We laughed a lot as if we had known each other for years. She is incredibly personable and friendly and I'm very grateful to her not only for her amazing makeup skills, but providing excellent customer service. She recommended some products for a beginner, (which I ended up buying), and not only did she pick the right ones for me, but she also numbered everything in order so that I know which products are applied in the appropriate order. I can't say enough positive things about Wendy. She is a major asset to the company and I hope she gets the praise she deserves. I will definitely be back because of her. read more

Tisha, a woman with blonde hair followed me in the store. Tisha also told the young lady helping me to give me a basket, yet other customers who were a lighter race had handfuls of items in the line. Tisha also messaged the young lady who was helping me to stop helping me and to assist someone else. I spent 100.00$ in Sephora and am thinking of returning a few items and shopping in MAC where I am not treated with such disrespect. Please train Tisha that certain customers are not thieves, despite what her beliefs are, this makes the company look bad. I love their selection at this location and the service is usually good, but not today. Not one of the 4 girls working the floor asked if I needed assistance. They were too busy checking their hair in the mirrors and talking. Being obviously hugely pregnant, I have a hard time bending down. The Urban Decay display was right by the register. The shadow I needed was on the bottom shelf. As I struggled to find what I needed AND reach it, not one sales person helped me. One was not five feet away. I love Sephora, but this location sucks... because of one person. There's a blond girl with horrible makeup and crazy eyeshadow who sits at the front door and is the most unhelpful person I have ever encountered. She does not answer my questions, tells me I am incorrect with information I read ONLINE from the actual designers website, that I am using incorrect products, and then promptly walks away once she points in a general direction of where I can find a product. One time I asked her who has a very good shimmery eye shadow primer, and she told me I don't need primer I need wrinkle cream because primer isn't going to fix my wrinkles. Excuse me? I'm 23. Rude, rude, rude. Then I ask her again, what brands make the best? What do you recommend? And she responded "Any brand here makes a eyeshadow primer. Pick one." I'm just now getting excited about make up and was told I could come to any Sephora and get make up help. I inquired at the store and was requested that if I wanted to do make up help or trial to schedule an appointment with a minimum $50 purchase. So it seems, I can't just simply get some help in selecting a photogenic liquid foundation. Maybe I need to ask a different associate for help. At the time near closing, there were 3 associates to assist, one watching the front door, one doing the color IQ test (needs 10 minutes to complete...so I'll come by when they aren't too busy), and one at the register. The girl at the register was helpful in determining if I had an account profile with Sephora since I shopped with the company over 15 years ago, but had to make a new account which was easy. It so happened that my birthday was a few days away and I received the monthly birthday gift and perfume sample without being prompted. It was a nice surprise. Store was relatively clean and products organized. Since this location is so close to work, I'll try to stop by to really get help in selecting make up. read more

i hate this sephora location specifically for the customer service... there is one older lady there that is there every single time i go in and she just has a way of making people feel unwelcome. she has never once offered samples of any kind and when ive asked for a sample she pretty much rolls her eyes as if i am expected to just buy the product before ever trying it. at sephora, the store that claims to offer 3 free samples every time, she shouldnt be so rude about it. this is the only location ive been in where there could be a few employees standing around just watching everyone without offering to help. its just a very unwelcome environment in this sephora. read more

Do not come here on weekends, it's very crowded. This location in particular has a large selection which is a plus :) However, last weekend I had a terrible experience from one of the employees, an African American woman who appears to be in her late 50's. I asked for a sample of a CC cream (It cosmetics) and she looked me up and down and with a scowl and raising her finger (like an angry mom towards her misbehaving child) said "hmm... you will only get a day's worth of it." I'm assuming she thought I was a teenager who is looking for freebies (I'm a med student, mid 20's),but I needed to make sure this product won't cause my face to break out. Worst Sephora experience EVER! I frequent this mall and in the past, the service here is far from memorable but this takes the cake. I dropped by the store with the goal of exchanging my Nars and Estee Lauder foundations for a couple new formulas that I fell in love with through some samples. I first went to the Dior section and stood there for 10-15 minutes without a single person asking me if I needed any help. Although everyone was busy, a simple "we'll be right with you" would do the trick. Feeling annoyed, I went to the cashwrap and told the lady the goal for my visit. She informed me that the store didn't carry Lancome but that I should try the Sephora store in JCPenney. So I asked her if I could maybe just get store credit for my 2 items and then use it at the other Sephora. She explained that credits at both Sephoras were not interchangeable. Doesn't make sense but OK. I then proceeded over to the JCPenney Sephora. There was only one girl there and she was working with another client. I headed to the Lancome section and a few minutes later, the artist helped me color match to the foundation I was looking for. They also had the Urban Decay foundation I wanted. HOWEVER, imagine my surprise when I found out that they don't carry Estee Lauder (my exchange item) at all. With that said, I wasn't able to make my exchange for the items I wanted. I headed back to the free standing Sephora. When I re-entered, I went straight to the cashwrap and told the lady that apparently the other Sephora didn't accept Estee Lauder returns since they do not carry it in their inventory. The girl seemed surprised. Although I don't expect the artists to be versed in the inventory of other stores, it would make the most sense that I don't get blindly referred to another store that would even take back my return! I then asked if there was any chance I could just get a store credit so I could just place the order online now that I know what I need. She informed me that store credits cannot be used online. I couldn't understand why? Extremely frustrating? So here I am, with 2 items to exchange and no convenient way to do so! So she suggested that I go to the Willow Bend Sephora (really, a 3rd location for one simple exchange???) and althogh she had no idea if they had Lancome products, she offered to call and check. In the end, I was able to exchange 1 item, received store credit for the other, then had to make a trip to Willow Bend to purchase the other foundation I wanted. A completely inconvenient waste of time, really. To top it off, on my way out, I asked to get color matched for Bobbi Brown and that took over 20 minutes for an associate to help me despite me seeing associates standing around and cleaning their brushes. !?!?!?!?!? In the past, I have never had any major issues with Sephora. In many other instances, associates will offer me the store credit then even help me order the item online. The restriction of only being able to use store credit in a physcial store is ridiculous and inconvenient for the customer. Who wants to run around to different stores when they know exactly what they want? This Sephora is a joke. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here. read more

First went into the Sephora inside JCP because I parked there. Limited selection and I'm not a JCP fan, so the general jankiness and dinginess of that store transfers onto its Sephora, perhaps unfairly. Then, I went into the store in the mall bowels. Although a little smaller than some other Sephoras that I've been in, it had a decent selection of lines and seem to carry a pretty decent representation of product within those lines too. Best part was the service. I was acknowledged, so there's that. And I asked for samples that are hard to sample. The girl checking me out sweetly obliged. Sometimes I feel like Sephora can be a stingy Fort Knox of samples. Not tonight...so I left extra happy with purchases and samples to boot! read more

Worst experience ever at this location, today I took my 15 year old to Sephora, we both buy make up all the time, what I thought was going to be a fun mom and daughter day turned horrible, I was in line waiting to pay for 2 product worth 90.00 dlls for my daughter, I see my daughter getting tap in the shoulder by an employee, not thinking anything of it, I paid for her items and left, my daughter looks visible upset, I asked her what happened, turns out one of the disgusting employees accused my daughter of stealing an eyeliner, she was so upset asking me if there was something wrong with the way she presents herself, why was she picked out of a line of people....could it be because we are hispanic? Don't know but I went back and returned the products, spoke with the "manager" his name is Chris, who has no clue how to act in situations like this, just said sure let me help you with your return....worst day ever for my 15 year old and me, terrible location and worse "customer service" ever. I never usually leave reviews but my experience at this Sephora was appalling. I went in with my sister wanting to try out some new foundation. They were busy, which is understandable, but when i was finally able to get some assistance i was met by someone with a completely sour attitude. She asked me some questions about my skin and her responses to what i was saying were combative and rude. I left empty handed and feeling pretty awful about myself. She had pointed out flaws with my face and skin, i have a birthmark which i am well aware of. I work outside all day in the elements so my skin and face take a beating because of my job. I know for a fact i will never be returning to this location. I've never left anywhere feeling more disrespected and put down as i did when i left this Sephora. read more

I live this location. The always have a great selection, but do yourself a favor and go during the week or right when they first open- it's always crazy busy. Staff is great about helping you match foundation shades- not necessarily great at makeup application. The last time I was here I bought an eyebrow pencil. I went to the Sephora store in Stonebriar hoping to get some one on one attention to discuss a possible skin care regimen and find a new CC cream. The store wasn't super busy, I mean there were several people, but there were 3 employees visiting with each other in the perfume section. I looked around for some of the brands I was interested in and I found one of them. I took the tester and tried a color on my wrist, it was way to dark, and then I had a no way to remove it. I asked a sales guy passing by if they had anything to remove it. He said in a condescending tone he would get me someone to help. The girl that came to help me did not have a better attitude. She did help me with a remover and find a color, but I felt she did not want to help me with anything else. I was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. I had never been to a Sephora before, and as I was leaving I see a sign saying to get help when you want to use a tester. I tell myself that may be why they were so put off with me, but I'll never go back to that store. read more

This sephora has, on multiple occasions, accused me of shoplifting. Not straight out accused, but I can tell when someone suspects it. My boyfriend and I walked in to smell all of the colognes because he wanted to see which one he wanted to get. It was cold outside, and he was wearing a big jacket. An employee immeadiately asked us if we needed help, and I said I wanted to grab some perfume samples. She directed me to a woman near the perfume who was the only one actually nice to me. The employees were eyeing us the entire time, and I even heard one of them say to sweep the floor to make sure no one was shoplifting. Next, two security guards walk in and I assumed that they called them because of us. I had no makeup on by the way, which probably raised flags to them. Not everyone likes to cake their face to go buy perfume jesus christ! Anyways, the security guard COMES UP TO ME and starts a random conversation with me about his wife, and at this point I knew he was just talking to me to see if I would try to get out of talking to him. This all happened while the nice lady was getting the samples for me. I stayed and talked his ear off, to prove I wasn't going anywhere and most DEFINITELY not shoplifting. I took my samples and the black girl told me to enjoy my goodies, and I just showed them up to her to kind of say f*ck you, I just wanted samples. The perfume I did end up getting, I ordered it online. I was not going to give any of those employees ANY comission off of me. Screw this Sephora and their discriminatory ways. read more

This is usually my favorite store, but they had nothing I was looking for - 5 different products across 5 different makeup lines - and I was not a happy customer. Nicole and Jane did a great job calming my extremely irritated self down, they both found me products that I'm excited to try, Nicole even hunted for a lip color that is a dead match (and not 2X the price) of the one I wanted. Great job! They clearly have supply chain issues, but that's not the fault of the people on the floor and they did a great job of making up for the lack of products I was looking for. read more
