I don't know what it is, but whenever I'm traveling I like to pick up a fragrance - either something new or one that's already in my rotation. I found myself at The Grove and this Sephora was calling me - so I decided to head in and check out their selection. I've been to several Sephoras, and this is one of their larger stores (at least from my perspective). Their fragrances are spread out spaciously along the back wall, and they have several promo areas throughout the store as well highlighting new releases. Shortly after I started sniffing, I was approached by a couple of employees asking if I needed help. I had a couple of fragrance-related questions which they were able to effectively answer, and ended up purchasing one of my regulars. They even checked me out right there so I didn't need to head to the main registers. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at this Sephora. I wouldn't hesitate to return next time I'm in the area. read more

I stopped by the fenty aisle to look at a few products I wanted to sample and unfortunately they didn't look as good on me as I wanted. This Sephora is pretty big, and there's plenty of employees ready to help out. I like how they don't start bombarding you with questions and kinda let you come to them when you need some help. This store specifically has lots of brands that come in and out to do small sampling pop ups. I forgot to tell the register, but Jenna was really helpful (January 3, 2026). I wanted a specific blush that was cool-toned, muted mauve, and powder matte. She swatched so many shades on her hand to show me. Then swatched some on my arm to see how it would appear on me. I'm a neutral, cool-leaning olive gal, so it's a bit challenging to find products that cater to our complexion. Jenna told me she is a warm olive, and it was really cool seeing the color theory of how the products show up differently on us. I ended up getting the Patrick Ta blush duo in the shade She Goes To The Gym, and it has been my go-to ever since. Sephora at Grove LA aka The Grove is nothing but solid all the way. It's really spacious and the people who work here always seem open and gracious for anyone who stops in. I don't frequent this location with a few being closer to home, but appreciate the selection and customer service. Lots of great self care products for your body and skin, for all genders. I used to check out the cologne selection a lot but shifted away from scents and fragrances over the years, but absolutely appreciate them still, plus they make great gifts. Sephora as a company shifted away from carrying nail polish in store and have a very limit selection online - they do however carry what they brand Clean at Sephora - cruelty free, non-animal based products as well as fairly natural in a amazing commitment to carrying/offering stellar items that don't contain mineral oils, sulfates, parabens or phthalates. This location has a lot more than most overall being in a central hub of Los Angeles and is always super clean, clear and under control with an easy modern layout, that classic lighting and a smooth checkout/experience from start to finish. read more

Whoaaaa this Sephora is BIG! And they are really well stocked. Probably the most well stocked shelves I've seen at a Sephora. The staff members were sweet and the store was only moderately dirty. So many Sephoras these days are a mess. I've heard it's the kids that make it dirty but I dunno. Parking is $5/hour in the structure. Great spot to find your glam! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the staff here at Sephora at The Grove! As soon as my friend and I walked in, the line was already at least 20 people deep. I had my friend stand in line while I went to grab the 2 things I needed. The store was super busy as it probably is every weekend, but the line moved VERY fast. I don't think we stood in line longer than 10 to 12 minutes! This location is big, and they had some sales going on. Although no one assisted me, I was able to find what I needed. One of the employees started taking customers who were paying by card, so that made the check out process even faster. I remembered I had a $10 bonus on my account, so that came in clutch! Waited around 30 minutes and spoke to some employees so I could get color matched but was told to wait for them to call..of course never happened and a couple employees were talking amongst one another rolling eyes when asked questions about samples, products, etc. But no one to come help with a color match. read more

Worker at the cashier was really rude. I had been told by the concierge that I could buy items there for validation, and I had done this previously at this location too. The worker today rudely said that "they have never validated here" and that I was definitely wrong. This Sephora is larger than most, with double the staff and double the crowd! I often visit this location for a day of leisure and luxury, shopping for everything from makeup to skincare and gifts. On my recent trip, I needed to restock my skincare essentials. As a Rouge member, I'm familiar with the layout, so I usually don't need much assistance. The staff are typically busy, so you won't be greeted as often as in smaller stores. However, they're friendly and helpful when you do seek them out. During this visit, I noticed some great holiday sets, perfect for gifts and stocking stuffers, so I recommend grabbing them early before they sell out. Due to the popularity of this location, items can run out quickly, but I was pleased to find everything I needed without having to visit multiple stores. I picked up glycolic acid from The Ordinary, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide serums from The Inkey List, First Aid Beauty moisturizer, and Youth to the People facial cleanser, totaling $115. This location is the one I go to for convenience. It is located in the Grove so if you are there for a short amount of time, try parking in one of the Farmers Market lots and get your parking validated at one of the businesses in the Farmers Market. First 90 mins are free or 2 hours free when you shop with one of the vendors. Otherwise you can park the Grove parking but the only validation. Service is pretty standard. For the past few years, I get great service and the handful of okay service, where they ask once and then leave me alone. But I must say that the customer service in the fragrance section has been top notched. The two associates who helped me have been super friendly and very knowledgeable in that area. They tend to leave me be but when I have question, they make sampling and talking about fragrance fun. The fragrance aisle is one of the main reasons I come here. The makeup section is okay. This Sephora has high volumes of customers coming in and as expected, the samples on the floor are left undesirable. But the associates tend to keep the make up well stocked . Overall, this is a great location. It's huge and there are tons of different lines, both corporate and small business, with ample price points. read more

My sister in law and I were the only ones pulled out of the line to purchase our items before the employee, a woman with red hair, said "I found them" into her mic as if she caught and prevented us from stealing. (We happened to have a stroller with us with my baby daughter in it sleeping.) She also gave us a lot of unnecessary attitude during our extremely brief interaction. Today I visited Sephora's North avenue location in Atlanta. I was immediately approached by an employee who asked how could he help me. I told him I was looking for a Fenty foundation. He showed me where the products were and asked if I needed assistance. I told him no. Before leaving he informed me that some of the foundations were discontinued. I nodded and said: "okay." I picked out a foundation after testing several shades and informed that same employee of my selection. He advised me that that particular shade was discontinued. As if scolding me he also added: "I told you that." I politely responded: "Okay, so we know this particular shade is discontinue, but do you mind telling which ones are not?." He then proceeded to tell me that some were out of stock, but could be ordered and delivered within days. I told him that wasn't an option, because I was going out of town shortly. I finally chose a shade that was not discontinued or out of stock and proceeded to checkout. This same employee stood beside the cashier and asked: "So where are you going tonight?" I responded somewhat puzzled: "nowhere, but home." He recalled our initial conversation and said: "You said you were going out of town earlier." I replied: "Yes, but I don't leave until Sunday." The conversation was awkward and intrusive albeit friendly and I can't understand for the life of me why Sephora would stock testers that are discontinued. read more

Store was super busy and crazy yesterday but Alicia was super sweet and helped me find almost a whole new base routine & products/brands I wouldn't normally reach for and I just got home and played around with them and I'm absolutely in love with every single item she recommended me. The man who was the rep from Haus Labs was also SOOO helpful and I got a perfect contour shade which is seriously so hard to find bc of how pale I am. I received a holiday gift from my dad of a product I love, but in a shade that doesn't work for me. I wanted to exchange it at this sephora for the correct shade. Simple, right? Wrong. I picked out some other items and made my way to the first available cashier. He informed me that I can't do an exchange without my father's receipt or credit card number. He then tried to RING ME UP and charge full price for the correct product. I excused myself. I had hoped to resolve this issue without making my senior, non sephora savvy father feel badly, but no such good luck. He couldn't find his receipt, but interrupted his dad to send me a preprinted return label. I went back to the store, waited in line all over again. This time, a different and much more friendly and helpful cashier revealed: all I ever needed was my dad's PHONE NUMBER to find the receipt in their system. This Sephora at The Grove has a good selection of product. The store is large but more in the long, narrow way than in the spacious, roomy way. Still, it is a much better space than the original Sephora location at The Grove across the way. Customer service is nice and friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my time here. They do sometimes run out of rewards and birthday gift options at this location because it's such a popular destination with a lot of foot traffic so keep that in mind and call ahead of time if there is something you really want. I usually just take whatever is available at this location since it is so convenient anyways and I can usually find something I'll enjoy using. read more

I visited this Sephora location during the sale and was ready to make a purchase of nearly $250. I also brought in two items to return. However, the cashier gave me a judgmental look and made me feel like I was trying to steal one of the items, claiming it had already been returned. For the record, I had just received that item along with a Patrick Ta blush, which was the only product I returned (unused and unopened). Even my husband noticed the look she gave me--it was uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. To make matters worse, I forgot my Sephora credit card and asked if I could use my ID and SSN for verification--got declined twice. Honestly, I'm now thankful I was declined, because I ended up purchasing everything online instead. I always like the salespeople and find them to be very helpful and friendly. They do everything to help me find what I want, and clean the testers so I can try things on. The thing I DON'T like is: Several times after purchasing an item and opening it to use the next morning, I've found that the product had been tampered with or used! Some items such as Urban Decay eyeliner are only sealed at one end, and the pencil itself is not sealed, so anyone can open the box and mess it up! I opened one that I had purchased and the tip was completely smashed off. I went to exchange it and checked the new one at the store -- the tip was completely missing! I'm not talking about just a little at the end...there was NO pencil tip there at all, showing that the product had been used:( I'll still shop here because I can walk there, but I'll check each item before purchasing from now on! read more

As I was wandering around investigating the store I took off my own lipstick looking for a better or different shade, I'm definitely not known for change. An employee was stocking shelves...
