I had the most horrible experience at this store the woman "helping" me was rude and pretentious she acted like me wanting to be color matched was a task she had me go sit by the mirror and then went on to help everyone else in the store, she passes by me several times not even looking my way as she passed. This Sephora location is okay, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Givenchy at this location so that's definitely a downfall for me as I don't always have time to travel to the Bay Area or order my foundation online. Customer service could use some help as the staff isn't all on the same page, you have some staff members that are extremely courteous, helpful, & knowledgable but then you have others that are either indifferent or just downright rude. Another complaint is that this location never fails to completely fail at color matching me, most of the time I look extremely orange & I know I'm not the only customer who can relate. Please train your employees how to color match properly & how to to find the best lighting possible when doing so!! read more

Hit or miss store, some of the workers can have an attitude..specially when requesting samples which i dont understand why, when you have bought something. If i buy a lot i should be able to get 4-5 samples without an attitude. 2nd The Moschino x sephora release was messy for this store.. i called ahead & according to them "everything sold out" & there was a "wait list" & nothing else was left... so i said hmmm let me go anyway & guess what! They had plenty of bear masks left,shopping bag eyeshadow palettes & 2 lip gloss chains? So why lie when a customer calls & says theres absolutely nothing!? The one star goes to one employee in particular. She's the tall chunky black girl with curly hair. Didn't bother to get her name. I drove here the other day from Stockton to take advantage of the VIB sale. I decided to stock up on ABH Dipbrow. I was looking for dark brown on the display but I didn't see any. I thought they sold out but I checked the bottom and there were plenty there. This particular employee came up and asked "do you need help looking in my drawer?"..."MY"? Uh okay, I didn't realize we were in your house and I was taking make up from YOUR room. Calm down. I politely said no and that I was just grabbing dark brown really quick. She was like "okay well next time you need something you can ask one of us". Sure, I'll wait around forever trying to flag one of you down when I can take 2 seconds to grab it myself. If you don't want me to grab from the drawer maybe you should do a better job of restocking your display. I know some workers don't like us going into the drawers. I've had some that don't even mind me grabbing my own. But please watch your tone when talking to paying customers. Trust. I've worked years in retail. I know a good worker when I see one. This is pretty much going to be 2 separate reviews in one ..... I go in randomly on my day off and get some samples for my skin (still searching!) ..But when it's time for me to purchase my Laura Mercier I go and get it from Sephora- I'd rather buy in person since there's not much to do in the area - It gets pretty boring and depressing!... Recently when I've gone in though, the service has SUCKED -- I don't know if its because I go in without makeup or because they just suck as people.. but finding someone to give me a sample of a new product felt like I was committing a sin...& of course, you end up stopping the employee who looks like they don't want to be bothered (but hey, not my problem- you chose the job) The guy at the register (who I've also asked for a sample from once before) Seemed very careless to me. I'd give a 2 star base solely on customer service... cause realistically, This makeup can be purchased at Macys or other stores.... Today, I was going to try Macys but decided to give Sephora a last try and thankfully I did... I just want to Thank JANE (I believe was her name) For the GREAT customer service she was providing me. She gave me a sample of the Bosia Cooling mask with a smile and a great short conversation. Simple thing but it made my very boring typical day a little better!! I love this store. The staff are always super friendly and eager to help. The first time I visited this location I was offered a free sample of anything I wanted. Every time I go in I am greeted by the smiling faces of people who clearly enjoy working there. I enjoy the diverse staff and the management. I went in with a gift card, and hardly any knowledge. Within 30 seconds of being in the store, I was greeted by the sweetest employee, Joel who probably could tell I was completely overwhelmed. I basically told him I was looking for new face makeup, and had been using drugstore makeup for the last couple of years. Not a whole lot to go off of, but he sat me down and began to work his magic. He asked me a ton of questions, that unfortunately most of my answers were "uhhh I don't know??" but somehow he managed to pull some products that met the basic criteria of what I wanted, while teaching me what I SHOULD be using. I never felt like he was using sales gimmicks to try and get me to spend a lot of money, and I appreciated that he was upfront with me about the fact that some stuff was expensive, and showed me some cheaper alternatives. This guy really knows his stuff, and I loved that he didn't just put makeup on my face and tell me what to buy. Don't get me wrong, I like MAC Makeup, but usually the employees only have enough time, (or sometimes it's just a matter of lacking the desire to do their job...) to match you, and put the makeup on your face, and them asking you "what do you think?" is as personal as it gets. At Sephora, you have more brands than I knew what to do with to chose from, and Joel taught me what to do. He explained how different products would affect my skin, and then showed me how to apply different products to get the best results. The only thing I would have done differently was go to the store sooner, because I left at closing with a beautiful face of makeup, and nowhere to go LOL! Seriously, the store is maintained SO well, the staff is super friendly (especially Joel!) and the products are priced well. Some of the stuff I regularly bought (which isn't much... face wash and mascara) was actually cheaper there than when I went to the actual brand name store. I love this place! read more

This is just a fun place to shop. There is a great selection of cosmetics, bath and body products, and fragrances. Some of it is a bit pricey. The employees are always helpful and friendly. I can't remember ever having a bad experience. They will do free makeovers and consultations. I have never felt pressured to purchase, although I usually do. I get quite a few compliments on my eye makeup with the suggestions I have received from the girls at this store. I also like the selection of natural and organic products that they have. If you are concerned about that though, I find it better to use the Sephora website with the reviews and ratings and look for the scores on the online Skin Deep Cosmetics Safety Database. read more

How about I had been trying to repurchase the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde for 1 1/2 months because they were always out of it. I ended up going to Ulta to purchase it. NARS creamy concealer in my fair toned color? Out of that for 3 weeks! Make Up Forever foundation in any shade lighter than 120? OUT!!! It's actually really sad that this store makes it so difficult for you to purchase product. What a backwards way of doing business! I love Sephora in general. The store is awesome. This location however, needs some help. The staff is friendly but way pushy. Once they help you find one product they have tons of others that YOUJUSTNEEDTOHAVERIGHTNOW! I would have preferred if they had asked if I wanted a sample to take home rather than just push about 10 products at me and then ask what I want. Then they follow you so you can't put it back when the pushy person has gone away. I love the foundation that they helped me find... but the 10 other products were a little overkill. BEST SEPHORA LOCATION IN THE 209. This Sephora location is one of the best I've ever been to. The staff here is always super nice and friendly. My most recent visit topped them all. I was having issues scanning a $10 credit card reward and the two employees, Priscilla and Alex were AMAZING! They were both super friendly and helpful. They still honored my $10 off even though we were having difficulty scanning it from my phone and I was not expecting them to do that. Super grateful for the help I received from those two and they are perfect representations of the kinds of people that Sephora should hire in all of their stores nationwide. read more

This is my second time going into Sephora. I went last year just to buy an eyeliner and i got the most amazing service. The second time around did not disappoint. I came in looking for a primer that was on sale on the Sephora website hopping that they had it in stock. Jane helped me find it and also gave me a sample of a cleanser i was looking for. I came in the other day ready to splurge on a foundation.I came in and I wasn't greeted, but it was busy so it's understandable. I already knew what foundation I wanted and I wanted to have someone apply it on me. I decided to wait by the mini makeover section until someone was free. I waited 20 minutes and no one acknowledged me . Finally some guy asked and he said he would have someone right over. So I waited and waited another 20 minutes and no other employee bothered to even ask if I needed help. Finally an older woman asked if I was doing ok and I told her I wanted to have a foundation applied to try but I'm sick of waiting and that I'll just take a sample home. I got my sample and left. Next time I'll try the Sephora in JcPenny. If it takes you 40 minutes acknowledge your customers, then there is an issue. read more

I've shopped at this Sephora about a dozen times now and my experience has been pretty good. I usually go on a Saturday and it's never really busy, which is nice. I can get in and out or take my time and browse without bumping into tons of people. I will say... this Sephora is a little bit messier than other ones I've been to. They almost need someone to go around the displays and sorta clean them up throughout the day. That's probably just one of my pet peeves/OCD... but oh well. :) The staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. They just need to take their time when helping a customer and not make them feel rushed. For the most part they seem knowledgeable about the products. I try not to tempt myself in places like this, but i needed to see if I could return a gift ...moisturizer that was about forty dollars. I had no receipt, but I did have my daughter's rewards card because she was with me.they were very nice about refunding me with cash right away. Then they called over are young man they said was knowledgeable about the products like that. at first I had my doubts because as a woman of a certain age, I need to replace a lot of moisture.Anthony new everything about all the latest products for mature women he really made me feel comfortable and showed me things I never knew existed. Absolutely the only place I will do my shopping for beauty products- the staff is friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and more than happy to assist you- or leave you to your shopping. I always have crazy questions and if the person I ask doesn't know the answer, they always find someone who does. I've never been into a store so willing to help- I asked for an item to be placed on hold, and they let me keep in on hold two days because they kept selling out. And one time, I told the sales associate that I loved a product they were giving samples of so much, she gave me five. =) Everything about this place makes me want to go back, which is probably why I'm a VIB. =) read more

I love this Sephora. Every time I go, the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked. The staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. On my last trip (3/16/16) a girl named Kara was super helpful, she recommended three products for my vivid-dyed hair that I already love, she really knew what she was talking about, and we had a great conversation about vivid hair. I usually really enjoy shopping at Sephora, everyone is very friendly and eager to help you with your cosmetics purchase. I was probably in the store for a good hour and half and while i did get some suggestions no one offered me the level of service I am used to - maybe this is the difference between the Bay Area and the Valley here. No one offered to help me with the makeup or show me how to use it. I even specifically asked one gal if she could show me how to use an eyeshadow palette and she just stared at me! Another one pointed me to the counter and pretty much told me to help myself. I have really enjoyed the past practice of them putting makeup on you and demonstrating the products and it seriosly probably quadruples my bill! After all that time i walked out with one little eyeshadow set - didn't even spend my entire giftcard and was really disapointed. read more

The other employees there at the time were also smiling and willing to help. I overall had a great experience. EVERY time I have been here I've had someone follow me around like I am going to steal something... And I can hear them talk to each other on their headsets telling them where I'm at in the store. They stare me down like a hawk. I have no idea what there problem is here. I do not do ANYTHING that is suspicious. They have no shame and they profile people for absolutely no reason.
