This is my go-to Sephora because they carry all the high-end makeup brands I love and wear, especially my favorite Gucci lipsticks. The staff is always helpful, and I can usually find exactly what I'm looking for. That said, the store is always crowded. On weekends, it can be overwhelming trying to move around with the amount of people inside, especially when groups of teens are hanging out and testing everything. It's a tight space for the volume of shoppers they get, and it can feel a bit claustrophobic at times. On top of that, the constant mix of fragrances being sprayed can give me a headache, so I've learned to avoid peak hours. I usually stop by mid-day during the week or later in the evening when things calm down a bit. It's Sephora, so the crowds are expected, but this location would really benefit from a little more breathing room. Still, it's my favorite spot for my go-to beauty staples, just not on a Saturday afternoon. With all the associates standing around, you would think that one person would be able to provide some type of assistance but I just I don't look the part and was overlooked as other shoppers who didn't need help or request help were approached. I was looking around trying to catch someone's attention as I was looking for something in particular, when Susan approached me asking if she could help. Now Susan had Gucci name tag on so I don't think that she's the typical sales person. However Susan went above and beyond to make sure that I was helped. Even when I was checking out, I wasn't greeted (rather ill take who is next), I wasn't asked if I found everything I was looking for, I wasn't asked if I would like to use my beauty points, and when I was leaving I decided to make sure I let Susan I appreciated her not just seeing me, but taking the time to help me. Even when looking for her, I passed by numerous associates and not one asked could they help. I had to finally ask one if they could help me find Susan to which she pointed "there she is". Also with all the people standing around (even at the front door, three of them are having a photo session) you would think that the store would be cleaner. This Sephora location is my go to! They have everything you want and need. The sales associates are fun, kind, and helpful. Fortunately, I knew the eye brow liner brand, but wasn't sure where it was displayed. This made my husband happy. haha! But I showed him the colonge section and that bought me some time to look around. I was able to look at the newest eye shadows - which were gorg! A tip is to get a Sephora Beauty Insider Rewards account. It's FREE. As you accumulate points, you have the option of getting free samples such as 100 points will get you this, 700 points will get you this. An added bonus is that you get a FREE birthday gift! I had decided to not shop Sephora in Southlake due to employees standing around talking with one another and not being available to help me with a foundation selection. I had to walk up to the group and interrupt them to see if someone could help me and they were annoyed with me. I did run in last minute today for a lipstick and there was a wonderful employee by the name of SWEET that deserves to be complimented due to greeting people as they came in the door and asking how she could help me. I purchase most of my makeup at Blue Mercury most of the time due to the lack of customer service at this location, but Sweet did make a difference today and wish there were more employees like her at this location. read more

While the customer was good, the lack of cleanliness on most of the displays were just disgusting! Thick layers of dust and grime and old crusty products, including the cleaning stations were all sticky and nasty it was very gross. Why are the cases and displays not being cleaned and dusted daily? Had a great selection of testers available to try, and was quite a large store in general. Saw many employees sweeping and wiping counters down and keeping things neat and tidy. I had a lovely shopping experience at this location this past Saturday. This is probably my favorite Sephora simply because the staff are so attentive and kind. I was helped by a few people on both of my stops that day (the first time I went alone and the second time I brought my mom along). The person who stood out the most was Kay. She greeted me and showed me where to find what I was looking for. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the product and even did a demo without me even having to ask. She also made a sample of that product! (Which I of course ended up purchasing anyway). When considering the sizes I was purchasing she also showed me how to look for expiration dates. She was so incredibly sweet and helpful. Thank you Kay! Another thing I like about this store is that it always has my favorite products in stock lol. Employees are extremely rude and dismissive. This is the second time I have experienced inadequate customer service specifically at this location. I had an in store pick up, and when I arrived I waited in the pick up area for several minutes with nobody acknowledging I was even there. I went to the check out area and told an employee that I had an in store pick up, I had been waiting in the pick up area and nobody was over there to help. She said she would call someone to help. I went back to the pick up area and waited several more minutes, with no help. THREE employees saw me waiting and not ONE asked if I had been helped yet. They acted like I wasn't even there. While I was waiting, I observed only white customers being greeted. If you aren't a rich looking white woman they won't even look at you or speak to you. I then went up to another employee that was too busy putting on lipgloss and staring at her self in the mirror to acknowledge that I was there at first... I asked her if she could get someone to help me because I have an in store pick up and she literally said to me "Oh yeah, I'll get someone else because that's not my job." She was extremely rude, stuck up and unprofessional. Don't work in customer service if you're going to act like you're above everyone else. I was there longer then I should have been and it was a waste of my time. People use in store pick up as a convenience, not to have to stand there and wait for someone to even acknowledge that they are there. I came in here today to look at some perfumes just for fun. I was greeted by 3 employees right when I walked in and one of them asked me if I was looking for anything (I think her name was Natalie). I told her I wanted to smell some perfumes and she took me over and showed me a bunch of actually incredible recommendations. She was really knowledgeable and SUPER friendly!! Came here yesterday to redeem my birthday reward and I was so impressed by the selection and service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a staff member and she asked me if I needed any help. I asked where the Sephora collection was and she lead me over and told me that she was here if I needed any help. I got checked on by another staff member that showed me where the mascaras were and recommended a couple of products. I had just come in from running errands and volunteering and I looked just like that, the ladies were so nice and did not stare or try to make me feel bad for just getting a mascara. One of them actually complimented me on my smile and that made me feel so good. The check out process was super easy and I got to choose my birthday gift. Sephora's is so convenient to shop at especially now that they carry the upscale brands like Lancome and Clinique. The brands they carry unique and have a few exclusive brands like Kat Von D. If you like permanent lip color try Everlasting Kat Von D. It's easy to apply and has a nice matte finish. They carry men's skincare and fragrances too. You are always greeted with friendly helpful beauty advisors that know their product. Sephora does offer a loyalty program and you get to choose from free samples once you have accrued points. The hardest part about shopping here is finding a parking spot in Southlake Town Center. Well one that is close to Sephora. Why not 5 stars? My daughter received a $50 gift card from a very close friend that was purchased in store on August 5 and given to my daughter that evening. On August 10 I took her to redeem it, only to find the card had a zero balance. After calling the 800#, we were told it was redeemed the same day it was purchased. Bottom line: Sephora doesn't care. They don't want to research it. They don't want to honor it. They want my friends credit card to pay for the loss under loss protection. Sephora knows they have a GC problem, yet leave the blank cards stacked out front for people to buy. They don't care that little girls are asking for Sephora cards only to be caught in the scam. I found the store and online staff unsympathetic and unhelpful. They all asked me for details borderline invasive info only to be told the same BS excuse about their same as cash not our problem. Not one offer to help my daughter. No help at all. Sephora is profiting off this and not doing anything to prevent it. read more

I will certainly visit this place again! I'm always confused and overwhelmed when I walk into makeup stores. This place was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The women who helped me was knowledgeable in my type of skin and color. I originally went it to try a specific brand and she was very honest after trying different foundations in this specific brand. When we couldn't find a match she showed me 3-4 different brands that she matched me with. I purchased one of them and I have really enjoyed using it. I love that I didn't not feel the pressure to but something right at the moment and that I was encouraged to try different brands to see what I like. A lot of sales associates are pretty pushy and make you feel bad if you don't buy something. This was not a all the case. Attention management, I would highly recommend training your staff on how to speak to customers. The young Asian lady with the long hair specifically. I asked for a certain foundation and she said "Are you trying to cover up a tattoo?" I do not have a single tattoo visible. Then she says we don't carry that brand but Ulta does IF they are still around. I will not be returning to this location even though it's closest to my house. That's not even close as I live in Northlake and drove all the way out here for this type of treatment. This is by far my favorite Sephora store I have ever walked into. Reasons? A) the layout is soooo easy to maneuver through so there really isn't a crowding issue like there have been at most other stores I've been to. B) the employees are always so nice and helpful every time I walk in. I switched out my entire makeup routine and one of the ladies working showed me 5 different brands for each product I needed until I was satisfied and she was happy to do so. C) the MANAGEMENT!!! I wish I knew his name to give him a shout out but he is so helpful and nice and always walking around making sure everyone is being helped. This isn't the closest store to me personally but I travel the extra 10 minutes to this one because I love it so much! On top of that, the return policy is amazing and the number one reason why I will never shop at another beauty store. Being able to buy a product, go home and use it a few times and deciding you don't like it, and being able to return it!!! Because you can never fully know if you're going to like the product, or if it'll break out your skin, by swatching it on your arm or small area of your face. I love knowing I can buy a product in full confidence that it won't be a waste of money if I don't like it. I'm not sure if she's the manager or a worker but she is the only rude person I've ever encountered at Sephora. Heavier set woman, short, with blonde shoulder length hair in her late 40s or early 50s..... I showed up at 5:59 to return something which takes less than a minute to do.... and she's waiting at the door to lock it & mind you 2 minute ago i watched 2 girls walk in. I pull on the door and she said we close at 6 ,well it must've just turned 6, and I ask her if to just return something I'm not looking to shop... and she repeats in now a condescending tone "we closed at 6" not I'm sorry we closed at 6... I was helped by a lovely gentleman by the name of Tristan. I have never experienced a shopping visit so legendary. It took me a while to shop but he was very patient and when I changed my mind, he was very understanding. We discussed skincare and he provided samples and my birthday gift. He complimented my skin and suggested other options. I have frequented this location before and made large purchases and was treated as if invisible. This particular day was a rainy Saturday shopping visit where I wanted to peruse in case I discovered something new. Tristan was friendly, funny ..and lively.
