Craving dessert randomly late one Tuesday night and stumbled upon this nice dessert cafe while on the area. It's a nice sized store with plenty of tables inside and some stool seating that faces out to a busy street which is always nice to watch cars drive. The vibe was very chill and mellow at the time i went, great for reading a book or bringing your laptop to study. This place offers a variety of teas, coffees, ice creams, cakes, and croffles on their menu to name a few. I went with a single scoop of their Pandan Ice Cream which costs $5.50, but you get 5% off if you pay by cash or venmo. The service was very quick and the server who brought my ice cream out to my table was friendly. The single scoop was a generous portion and it came with oreos which was a nice surprise. The flavor was right on point, not too sweet, but you can still taste the pandan in each bite. I'll have to come back next time to try their other desserts!

Sundays call for brunch aaannnddd coffee dates. I've had this spot saved for a while and finally got the chance to check it out. Parking: Free parking lot. There's a small/medium parking lot. Finding a spot can be easy. Ambiance/Environment: The interior is very cute. They have a decent amount of indoor seating. There's a small den with a booth-ish seating. There are regular-height tables and chairs and shorter tables and chairs. It's a studious environment but also a nice spot to hangout. Service: The cashier that assisted me was simply efficient. Throughput was quick after ordering. We only waited about 12 min for everything. Drinks & dessert: The menu can be overwhelming. They offer small bites, desserts, milk teas, coffee, fruit teas, teas, yogurt, blended drinks, etc. Although the photos of the drinks look appealing, the presentation doesn't match. I was told they no longer offer drinks in a glass even if you're dining in. All drinks are in to-go cups. I got the Truffle Coffee, Vietnamese Black Coffee (with no sugar), and Egg Cream Toast. If you prefer your drinks strong and bitter, then the Vietnamese Black Coffee will be perfect for you. The bear on top is absolutely cute. Make sure you drink this properly - always let Vietnamese coffee sit and don't slurp it in two gulps. Hence why there's a lot of ice. The Truffle Coffee tasted exactly as it sounds .. I thought the flavors were okay, but I believe truffle should only stay with savory dishes lol. The egg cream itself was thick and creamy. I was expecting some fancy french toast along side with it, but it's literally just toasted white bread. Pricing: More on the expensive side for coffee in OC. I'd come back to try their other drinks bc they all sound appealing. I wouldn't get the egg cream toast again.

I really think the less than satisfactory reviews are from not knowing how to order here. I talked to Alisha at the front who is here mornings and went over recommendations based on my preference (less heavy/sweet, dark roast/strong coffee). Desserts are impressively made in house here. The ingredients are top notch for desserts and coffees. I would skip the baguette stuff and just do dessert and drinks here, unlike my first visit.

Came here with my dad for some coffee after lunch on his recommendation. Now my dad is very hard to please when it comes to food and drink - particularly Vietnamese coffee. He spoke very highly of this place which is all but a guaranty of quality. Sure enough, I was very satisfied with the coffee, it's on the stronger side which is perfect to me. I had iced while he had the hot. We were helped by Alisha who was very friendly. Very cozy, classic coffee shop vibe. Pay with cash / zelle / venmo for 5% off! Also free wifi so come here and enjoy some good coffee and desserts to relax or do some work.

September is an adorable cafe with plenty of seating and sweet/savory food options for studying or catching up with friends! The desserts are both made in house, and I'm normally picky about desserts but theirs are light, airy, and not too sweet which I loved. The individual decor on the drinks were the perfect cherry on top. we got their matcha cherry blossom (not too floral), tiramisu coffee (coffee base + cream top) and mango yakult (so refreshing/slightly carbonated). For foods we chose finger foods like the precut cream cheese garlic croissant and bread sticks (ham, cheese, pork belly!) with a crispy exterior. Favorites were the desserts!! I loved the berry choco mousse and passion cheesecake. We also got the oreo and tiramisu bunny since there's a buy 3 get 1 free promo! overall the price is amazing considering everythings made in house, and the staff are so sweet and attentive.

when I say every corner in this place is aesthetic I am not lying. Me and my fiance decided to stop by on a lil lunch date. Service was very nice and friendly, and there was lots of seating room inside. Menu was big with very aesthetically pleasing drinks. We got a biscoff latte and an iced matcha. The drinks came with these cute bear shaped ice cubes on top. we got a sampler platter w/ beef spaghetti, quail eggs, shrimp udon, bulgogi salad & garlic cheese bread & these cute hamster cheesecakes/mousse. Overall I definitely recommend this spot out for a date/study session.

Wow, the two drinks I got were so delicious that I wrote a review right away. I originally just ordered the Tornado Biscoff Latte to go, but they accidentally gave me a watermelon lychee tea too. My husband let them know it was a mistake, but they let us keep it. The Biscoff latte is strong, just how I like my coffee -- not too sweet -- and you can really taste the Biscoff in it. Every sip had yummy chunks of Biscoff. The watermelon lychee tea was also so refreshing and delicious. I would probably ask for it less sweet next time, but the flavor is perfect and captures the fruit flavors beautifully. The service was great, and the ambience is beautiful. There are great photo ops -- some ladies were even taking pictures with the décor.

An adorable cafe nestled in the heart of Westminster! The interior is absolutely adorable! Lots of plants, natural wood, and trendy furniture. I love how spacious this is for a coffee shop. I was literally blown away with the ambiance. Not only is the interior beautifully decorated with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, but the staff is also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience all the more enjoyable. As for the drinks, they were absolutely delicious! I tried their Matcha Latte, and it was the perfect blend of sweet and floral. They also have a great selection of teas and smoothies and ice cream, so there's something for everyone. read more

I have been going to the first and the second location since they just opened a few years ago, and I always appreciate small businesses that put so much thought into not only the interior design, but also the drink decoration and most of all "the taste". Bravo for their variety of ice cream flavors for their third location. My wife loves that they do beautiful decorations even for our take away drinks. Would come back just for the amazing service but drinks were surprisingly very tasty too! We came near Christmas time and the interior was beautifully decorated and really added to the already aesthetic ambience of the place. I love cafés that really capture both the quality of drinks/food and the aesthetic parts and September was a prime example of that. I did get a plain iced matcha latte and while I did like it I did find it a little overly sweet for my taste ( I do tend to like my matcha sweeter but the sweetness overpowered the matcha taste). One thing I noted was how great the service was with the workers checking up on us and delivering drinks to our table which curated a more sophisticated environment rather than just a regular grab and go cafe. The female server who is in her 20s and wear glasses, needs to be fired. Customer service is not her strong suit. She kept kicking us out of our table because there was a 2:45PM reservation. When we got up, she came back telling us: "you can sit there it's okay". And she did that twice. Then the third time she moved us to a corner and offered to give us discount. When we ordered, she gave us 85 cents discount. 85 CENTS!!! LOL. I came up and asked if she meant to give us 85cents discount. She lost her cool and started yelling at me: "calm down man" " I applied a wrong discount! Chill..." "gimme a fucking minute!" The whole time I was calm and she was the one who screaming in Vietnamese. She didn't apologize once. So I explained to another worker about the situation and how rude she has been to us. She, then later, came to clean up the table right next to us. She purposely splashed water out of the cup over to our table a couple of times. And water got on my designer purse. It was not unintentional. Like a way to pay back for ratting her out to the other worker. I just ignored her at that point. Such bad attitude she forgot she was serving us not the other way around. Two stars for the food and ambiance. Otherwise zero because our whole experience was hell. read more

I have had wonderful interactions with Nhu, the female cashier in glasses and a ponytail! I love her positive and pleasant demeanor. She happily answers any questions. Beautiful space that transports you to a Mediterranean paradise. May become crowded so I recommend coming early during a weekday. Amazing dine-in & takeout experiences! The pandan coffee here is definitely a must! It's refreshingly sweet and you get a hint of that Vietnamese coffee taste. I also highly recommend getting ice cream here. My friends and I got the ube, pandan, and coconut ice cream. All of the flavors were delicious, but the ube and pandan were the most flavorful and the perfect amount of sweetness. I went here a couple days ago with my family and we ordered truffle coffee, soursop tea and coconut ice cream. All 3 of them are all very good. I really like the coffee and personally think it's better than Starbucks and other coffee places I've been to. Not only the drinks taste good but also its decoration looks pretty too. The price is a little higher than other places around the area but it's very worth it. The shop is cute. The owner is friendly and service is great. I'd highly recommend this place. Da Vien is one of my favorites and now I'd also add this place to my list to visit when I'm in the area too! read more

September is such a lovely cafe! I'm so glad they've newly opened. Located in the heart of Little Saigon, September stands out by being a cute and aesthetic coffee and dessert shop, differing from the old cafes we remember our parents frequenting. All the drinks and ice cream options are beautiful. Unfortunately, my friend and I only got to try one drink each, but they were incredible and we agreed to come back often with some more friends. I'm excited to try their ice cream "hot pot" and their other lattes (especially the black sesame cream latte). The presentation of the ice cream glasses are also sooo cute. I love that they remind me of how desserts look like in Vietnam so I'm definitely getting one next time. In fact, their presentation for everything is impeccable, from the drinks to the desserts and even down to menu details. Their service was also great and very friendly; the employees came to check on us and when we returned our glasses, they asked how we liked our items and if there's anything they could improve on. We love establishments that are open to constructive criticism (although I had none yet). I can't say more without repeating myself by saying that everything is cute lol. I also saw lots of groups of friends and families coming in to chat and hang out so it seems like an ideal meet up spot. I will definitely be back! read more

Hate to give this place bad feedback but I was not impressed by the coffee at all. Ordered a sesame coffee and pandan coffee. The sesame and pandan were flavorful but the coffee was awful. It tastes gross and undrinkable. I had a stomachache and spent half my day in the restroom. The coffee definitely was very low quality and the drinks were watered down. Other than the decor being nice, this place is not good and the prices are ridiculuous. read more

When it comes to coffee fr fr they got the best selection of coffee the menu gives this place a 5 star review but the service drops that 5th star I came in ordered a coffee and macron for the wait 10 minutes later the girl up front told me it would be another 10 minutes because she's making the creamer so I asked for another macron in the meantime she was very quick to say Ill take you up front to ring you up for it. Disappointed. We arrived at 8:00 and they were only offering to go even though they close at 10pm. I went with my husband and in laws and the only drink that was worth coming back for was the slush Sunkisses. Though it's inspired by the vintage 1979 it had nothing on the original 2 stores other than the aesthetic. The drinks tasted very bland and not sweet. Not worth the hype and definitely not worth the price you pay if everything is arriving in togo containers. We had the matcha and coconut ice cream as well, those were actually worth coming for but not the price we paid for 2 scoops of ice cream. Overall was too overhyped and disappointing. read more

How dare they make boba and coffee taste so amazing and absolutely delicious!!!!!!! They were too kind and the vibes were off the charts. My friends also had no complains and we could not find any flaws with the service or the waittime. Personally, I could never go to another boba shop ever again!!! After we ordered, we sat down and watched her stare at her register for every customer. It's funny how different patrons are treated versus when they have down town with each other. We ordered two islander coffees and a tonic. The islander coffee is fairly unique. It's a latte with shredded coconut on top! The coconut is smoked a bit to give you a whiff of it before sipping. My fiancé liked his tonic, too. Caffeine levels are strong; made me sleepy after sipping it. Very decent coffee shop that I wouldn't mind stopping by whenever in the area.

From the moment I walked through the doors of this gastronomical travesty, I felt as if I was embarking on an arduous journey of despair and disappointment. Let's start with the basics. The pricing scheme at The Vintage 1979 is akin to a carnival sideshow, full of smoke, mirrors, and most critically, daylight robbery. It's an enigmatic labyrinth, where the price tags are either elusive or deviously tucked away in the fine print. Be particularly wary of items that seem to have no price listed. Rest assured, the end bill will unfailingly reflect their greed and deception. The proverbial 'icing on the cake' (and by 'icing', I mean the foul-tasting goop, and by 'cake', I mean the stale, crumbling mound of disappointment) is the shocking quality of the food and drinks here. The exorbitantly priced Vietnamese coffee, which they dare to peddle for over $7, is nothing more than a pitiful echo of the genuine product. It is a crude insult to any coffee aficionado and an outright scam to anyone expecting value for their money. They ought to rename it "Dishwater 1979." The desserts, while presented with a flourish that would suggest otherwise, are nothing more than empty eye candy. They exist as if their sole purpose were to mock the palate and undermine the essence of what a dessert should be. Devoid of any real taste, they crumble under the slightest scrutiny, like a weak alibi under a seasoned investigator's gaze. As for the decor and ambiance, it's clear that they tried to create an aura of vintage charm, but they have only succeeded in establishing a soulless facsimile. The hollow nostalgia rings false, serving as nothing more than a bitter reminder of the gaping void between style and substance. The staff, much like their food, are underwhelming and lack any semblance of passion or enthusiasm. It feels as though their disinterest is part of the restaurant's theme: a nostalgia for a time when service and professionalism didn't matter. I also discovered that this is not the only location of The Vintage 1979. It appears that this catastrophe is spreading, and for the love of all things good and tasty, I implore you to avoid these establishments. In summary, The Vintage 1979 is a place where culinary dreams go to die and where your wallet is relieved of its weight with reckless abandon. The coffee shop has a great atmosphere and the drinks were really good. However, the experience was affected by how understaffed the place seemed to be. I visited on a Saturday and noticed there was only one person working at the front. We ordered at the counter and chose a table, but there were dirty dishes left from previous customers. We politely asked the staff member several times to clear the table, but she kept asking us to wait. Even when our drinks were brought out, they were placed right next to the used dishes. We kindly reminded her that she could take the dishes since her hands were free, but again, we were told to wait. I understand that things can get busy, but it was disappointing to see how long it took to address a basic cleanliness issue. Dirty dishes aren't something customers can just throw away themselves. I truly believe the owner should consider hiring more staff especially on weekends. The employee seemed overwhelmed, and I genuinely felt bad for her. read more

I was excited to visit September Coffee Shop after seeing all the adorable photos of their drinks on social media. However, I quickly realized that I shouldn't have been fooled by the cute presentation. The coffee and matcha both had no flavor and were not sweet at all. I almost threw up after trying the matcha because it was so disgusting. To make matters worse, the prices were outrageous for such subpar beverages. I expected a lot more for what I paid. I had a great experience at this boba shop! The employees were incredibly friendly and attentive. It was a pleasant surprise to have the drinks brought right to our table - something I hadn't experienced before. The drink options were refreshingly unique and clearly crafted with care. I recently visited a coffee shop and ice cream place and I have to say, it was fantastic! I asked for a a Hot Americano and they had no idea how to make it or use the machine. I had to instruct them to pull a shot and add hot water. They filled the cup halfway and charged me $7!! To the manager: Please train your baristas OR rename your shop category as a "drink store" rather than a coffeeshop. Because if you don't know how to make a simple hot coffee you are NOT a coffeeshop. read more

One of the cafe places I had, the atmosphere was pretty big and clean. My friend and I ordered the popular drinks and cake, the matcha cake left the best impression for me because it had a flavorful matcha flavor. The owner even offered to take a polaroid picture for us. The sweetest! We will definitely come back. read more

Stopped by before closing and tried 4 different items. We loved every single one of them. The Oreo cake was my favorite. Staff took their time to explain what each item was and answered all of our questions. Can't wait to go back to try more! read more
