It was in an awkward location and a tree tried to scrape Chris off the side of the shed as he was maneuvering it past. With more skill than a rodeo clown, he hung on and got the shed past the wild tree. They placed it in the requested location with precision. Watching this father and son team work together is a thing of joy and entertainment. I hope to be alive and in need of their services in another 15 years so that I might see Daves grandson working with them. They are great at what they do, and as heartwarming as a feel-good movie. I almost feel like buying a structure so that I can hire them to move it.

I had already gotten an estimate from the largest, best known body shop in the area and wanted to get a second estimate. My estimate at Frankfurth was far more reasonable than my first one was, but what made me choose them was that it's a mom and pop local business run by a honest, hardworking family man named Chris, a father who lives locally. It isn't always about saving every last dollar. There are things that are nearly as important to me. All things being equal, I'd always rather give my money to a locally owned/operated business than some big, faceless, corporate body shop. I could not have been more pleased with the whole process. I appreciated Frankfurth's fair prices, but I was thrilled with the quality of their work. My truck came out looking perfect. They did exactly what they promised they would do and finished on time. Their repair was flawless and they even returned my vehicle washed and showroom clean. You just can't beat that. I highly recommend Frankfurth & Son's Auto Body for all your body shop needs. Instead, I was presented with a $407.25 additional charge upon pickup, and I needed my car as the rental had been returned that day. The invoice showed 2 charges that are typically absorbed in a claim; and were not submitted to insurance for prior approval, so fell to me. If Sunnyside was unable to complete repairs at the amount approved by insurance, they should have sent in a request for supplement, and/or advised me of additional charges expected so that I could have the option to select another repair facility. I feel my claim was handled very unprofessionally and exemplifies a questionable business practice. I want others to be aware before choosing to support this business.

Don't trust these guys. Totally rude and disrespectful. Called me about an hour ago after Geico put…read morein the request for a tow and he claimed my vehicle needed collision work. I told him a few times this was not the case. He said he'll be over here in 15 minutes. I came downstairs and was waiting for him. He didn't even call me or ring my doorbell, he just briefly knocked. He didn't even give me 45 seconds to come to the door (I'm looking at the time stamp of the Ring video between when he knocked on the door, and when I answered. Literally less than 45 seconds). Me being cordial and kind and saying hello, stepping out, he saw me in my driveway and yet he pulled out and started driving away. I thought he didn't see me or something and went out in the middle of the street jumping up and down doing jumping jacks trying to flail this guy down. Totally embarrassed myself! Pioneer Auto is waiting for my vehicle to be dropped off by this guy. I called his number 2x and texted it. Both went unreturned. Called another one of A-1's numbers. Went unanswered as well. Called off a different number and they answered immediately! Said that I have to call Geico back because "they waited for me" and that they cancelled the order and tow and I'd have to call back Geico again to request another one. Ridiculous. Have been on the phone for the last 30 minutes with Geico and about 2 hours dealing with this today. A-1 is the only contracted tower with Geico in the Oak Harbor area. Geico said they shouldn't have been here til 315 pm and he came at 254 pm. They said he had to wait for me until 315, give me a call or Geico one. I'm telling you it's all documented on Ring video. Not even a full minute between him knocking on the door, me coming out, and him driving away from my driveway. Not ok. Beyond petty, I did nothing to these people. And Geico said I need to document all of this, because guess what? The guy cancelled the tow but STILL got paid by Geico. Now my car is broken in my driveway without a tow, and I can't find someone to tow my vehicle til Monday! I did absolutely nothing rude or mean to these people and for them to do this and treat someone like this - for what? I told him I could barely hear him on the phone today when he had a bunch of people talking around him? That's the reason to act and behave like this? And now I have to do 2 reviews with Geico and on here? Totally petty, and a waste of time. I don't know why people in the Oak Harbor area are so beyond rude, unaccommodating, and just plain mean but I'm so sick of it. Lived in 10 states and this area is probably one of the meanest/ rudest in the country. Not ok. Now I'm upset, Geico is upset, and for what reason? Was he trying to scam us or just try to make our lives more difficult? If he didn't want the job or to deal with me for whatever reason he shouldn't have accepted it. Geico just tried to get them to come back and do the tow and he refused because 1.) he said I didn't come to the door when he knocked (not true based off of the Ring video - literally 45 seconds between him knocking and me coming out), 2.) he called me earlier and because Geico said my car had collision work he is refusing to take it allegedly and he is refusing to take any future jobs from Geico or me. Ridiculous. Hope karma does justice. Update: looks like he's done this many times based off the reviews on Yelp and Google! So I know it's not just a "me" issue! The auto body shop said this is how he is too and they don't recommend him. Just a shame! And he allegedly destroyed people's bikes and threw things in their yard throwing a temper tantrum for whatever reason. I came outside and both my trash cans were slammed to the ground and damaged which they've NEVER been in the 2 years living here. Either he hit them with the tow truck or threw them down! Now they're damaged! The garbage people would've NEVER allowed this nor would my neighbors! Every other trash can on the street was standing up straight! Both my regular trash can and recycling were thrown down by this man and it's caught on my neighbor's Ring camera as well! I'd like to file a report on this man. There is NO REASON whatsoever to behave like this or treat another human being like this! Especially someone that was nothing but kind and respectful to him to begin with! Absurd! I'd like to call the cops and report him because this is a common problem with him judging from the reviews. You don't destroy another person's property!
