Just an update on the work done by this shop. My battery light came on so I checked it out and found this bit of work. This shop had replaced my battery terminals and wrapped quite a bit of electrical tape on the cables. When I went to remove the cables to charge the battery I found this! Wow, this is some kind of jury rigging. Not sure if this was approved by management but if not, Why? And if it was approved I have to ask, Why? read more

Been there twice. Once for a repair to my truck that the local dealer couldn't get to in a week. They understand the urgency and fit me in the next day. One day to replace the parts and I was back on the road. It's so fun to call the dealer service center and tell them they are not as good as the local small business!!! Also had my oil changed and 50k service. They scheduled it for the following week (which is great and understandable). Was done quickly and about 1/3 of the price of the chain fast lubes!! Same oil/filters etc. they've earned my business. I read the other yelp comments and haven't a clue why so nasty. The customer service is first rate. Polite. Clean. Fairly priced. Took our car in for a brake repair and asked for the cost. I was told $640 to replace the pads only (I didn't want the rotars replaced or resurfaced dut tocost). Yesterday we took our Lexus in when we experienced some acceleration problems. Tom was at the desk and he was extremely helpful and polite. He told me what to expect, the time probability, etc. His information helped me plan how to spend my time in town while I waited. Later, I worked with Tyler, another very polite worker who is specific and clear in his explanations. We had the car by the afternoon. Sequim Auto Repair has a new owner. After waiting three weeks for my appointment to possibly replace the bearings in the differential of my pickup, I dropped my pickup off @ 8AM. I called at the end of the day to ask what they had found. I was told "they were still diagnosing the issue". That was a clue that nothing had been done. The afternoon of the second day I drove out to see if the truck was in the shop. My pickup was sitting in the back of the parking lot behind the shop. When I asked why it wasn't being worked on?, the owner told me they had several vehicles come in unexpected. My truck was obviously put aside, to work on vehicles without appointments ! The excuse I got was that "he only has three technicians and so many bays". The owner wouldnt admit my truck wasnt a priority, or why, I retrieved my keys and now have an appt at another repair shop... If he would have called me and asked if I would be OK with waiting an extra day or two, I might have understood. Because the new owner wasnt honest with me, I cant trust this business now. read more

I was told I could get a free 32 point inspection. Then I was told I had to schedule for a oil change to get the 32 point inspection. Upon picking my vehicle up there was a bill for about $38. When I questioned the $38 charge for a free 32 point inspection the man at the front desk about blew a gasket. He grabbed my keys and said he will not work on my vehicle again. Excellent service when our F-350 broke down. Spot-on diagnosis and repair. Was honest and clear about how long it would take to get the part and do the repair. Fair price, and we felt confident knowing that nothing unnecessary was done. On the way to pick up the truck, the check-engine light came on on my Trailblazer, and they diagnosed it professionally, accurately, and quickly, not just reading some little screen on a code reader. Turned out my injectors were fouled, and a few hours on the injector cleaning system took care of it. They recommended what kind of gasoline I should use in the future to prevent this. Very low cost to solve the issue, when another outfit might have misdiagnosed and done unneeded work. I trust these fellas. We will return. read more

The woman and man who answered on the 3 calls I made had pathetic phone manners. And don't make calls from 12 to 1 P.M. That is when they eat lunch. This shop that has been doing maintenance on my truck since I first bought it 18 years ago and has been cheating me and now it has come to roost on my dime. I should have been more on top of it but not knowing all the intricacies of its maintenance I was at his mercy. The reason I found another shop was because Marvin, the owner, has been openly treating me disrespectful for over the last year and a half and I got fed up with it. I called Schwab, who I buy my tires from and who do my tire work, and told them I needed a referral to another shop. They gave me the name of another shop and told me it was good I was leaving Marv because he does cheat. The new shop told me the same thing and know his tricks. The man has been doing stuff that did not need to be done and has not been doing the required stuff. I took my entire record of 18 years of all bills listing work done and had the new guys go over it. I went over it first, looking for the things they told me to check for. It was just incredible. I got the estimate of what it is going to take to fix it and although it is going to be costly I will finally have it done right. After reviewing the paperwork they gave me an initial estimate..... so there goes my Christmas, Valentines Day and birthday money.... so to speak. (Just joking about the money, but had to make a point of how much it's going to cost). I am also in the process of telling everyone I know about this. I have another saying. "The best free advertising is good word of mouth... also the worst advertising is bad word of mouth. " I left it at the new shop tonight so they can go over the truck tomorrow morning to get an accurate appraisal of work it's going to need. I will then take it in next week to have the work done. My vehicle broke down so I called and made an appointment. (They were nice on the phone)I wasn't free to deliver the car and ask my friend if she would do it for me. The treatment she received was inexcusable and was clearly due to the color of her skin.(In my opinion) After I picked up the car and ask about what went wrong with simply having the car delivered they were instantly rude and defensive for no clear reason. After paying more than quoted or expected I got the car home to find the problem wasn't fixed. I called to ask about it and received more grief. I decided it would be better for my state of mind to just except my loss/mistake and find another shop. The new Shop fixed my car quickly and professionally in half the time and less than half the cost. They were also hard-pressed to understand how Sequim auto could justify the price they charged for what they attempted and failed at doing. This shop has some good reviews(they probably wrote themselves) so if you have the time and want to roll the dice give them a try. Otherwise there a plenty of other shops in town. They are very honest and reliable people and the people that work there aren't dicks like most places i've been, they are actually friendly. I brought my car there the other day for an oil change and to get it checked out to see why my check engine light was on. The oil change was cheap and they didn't try to sell me extra crap that I wasn't there for. When I picked up my car he told me there was something going on with my transition and he was honest in telling me it was something he wasn't an expert in but knew a great place that specialized in transmissions, told me what was going on, gave me there number and even told me how to get there. These guys were great! I was coming to visit my daughter in Sequim when my brakes nearly failed on a quick stop. I first took my car to the national chain which had recently repaired my brakes, where they tightened a bolt they said was loose, and still the pedal sank to the floor when I sat at a stop sign. When I took it back they told me there was no problem. So I made an appointment with the Sequim Auto Clinic. These people were both kind and respectful. They inspected and bled my brakes, and then didn't charge me at all. My brake pedal has never sank to the floor since, and the brakes work great again. Horrible! While waiting for my vehicle, another person was stuck waiting an hour longer then he was scheduled! Also witnessed the shop send a lady home with no brake lights and told her to "just turn on your headlights when braking". They were also late on my appointment by over 30 minutes. I asked what was going on cause I hadn't seen my vehicle touched in a while, and then the shop owner come unglued and start yelling and swearing at me. Don't waste your time. We had our truck at SAC for a few electrical issues. During the service, our truck got broke into. I do not fault the owners at all or the staff. I called to see if my truck was available to view. I spoke with the owner who raised his voice at me. I was told that I was rude for asking about the status of my truck. He told me not to call again and ask about my truck. He also told me that he had "actual customers" to talk to. This was all in a yelling loud voice. They had our truck for over 6 weeks and did NOT fix the issue. I used this shop for several cars. The quality of work got a little worse each time. The final straw was when I brought my minivan in. I asked them to check it out and tell me if it's worth fixing. The owner told me it was worth fixing. Then quoted me 2000$. They finished the work and gave me a bill for 2500$. In the following day I found a piece if the washer fluid spryer missing, the check engine light came on, something was leaking out of the motor, and the transmission was slipping. I took it back. They looked at it and said "none of that has anything to do with what we worked on" I usually don't give bad reviews in conversation much less on line but this was a really bad experience for me. I took my car in for a problem with the car starting. The starter was changed without my approval and the problem persisted. I took it back and they did something else that didn't solve the problem either. They had my car for nearly a week the second time. Nearly $400 later and the problem still exists. I had an oil change and diagnostic done but was not informed that my rear brakes were getting close to needing attention. Ended up having to replace rotors and pads because they were metal to metal. I had a problem with the headlights. I checked numerous times that they in fact did not work and took it in. I called to check and was told that If I simply turned them on they would work. I didn't appreciate being talked down to and treated like an idiot. After a few days, I realized my hazard light were not working. I had never had a problem with them before. I brought the truck in that day at 3 pm they told me the truck would be finished in 5 days I call 7 days later to have them tell me they cannot fix the problem properly but they can get me back on the road for the same estimate they gave me I agree to have this done the owner tells me shouldn't take long. I don't hear from the shop for 2 days. I call on a Friday to have the owner telling me my truck is in a "triage center" and that I need other repairs I deny them owner tells me to pick it up Monday. I arrive Monday to pickup the truck fully ready to pay the estimate the owner gave me for the transmissions lines, owner struggles to find repair bill but decides to have me go into the bay where my truck is and starts pushing for the repairs I deny the repairs(as I would like to do them myself) following this the owner tells me to "get the hell out" I believe Marv was the mans name I don't know if he thought I had something against him but this mans looking for conflict read more
